Set 200 years after the destruction of Equestria by balefire megaspells during a devastating war that threatened to wipe out all pony kind. This is the story of an military pegasus officer. Her missions to the surface wastelands forever impact her view of ground ponies, and challenge her unwavering loyalty to The Grand Pegasus Enclave.

Ebony was born above the clouds but her life there was not always as well protected as she would have liked, she enlists in the Enclave to protect other pegasi, as had all of her family before her, but she never expects to get stationed on a newly built base hovering over the swamp lands of Point Lookout. Her adventures and missions there prove some things about ground ponies to be true, and other things to be false.

Ebony forms strong bonds with the ponies she serves with in the Enclave, but can she always protect and heal them when the surface is so hostile? Her virtue of corrupted loyalty keeps her steadfastly faithful to the Enclave until one day... She finds herself in a very uncomfortable position, trapped on the ground. She now experiences the lives that many surface ponies suffer.

Eventually, the single pegasus project gets taken over by a pesky unicorn named Littlepip and the skies began to slowly open.

When the Enclave's power falls, and everything Ebony believes is challenged, her whole life is about to change. She see's the plight of many of her kind who were use to living safe above the clouds. Now they are venturing to a dangerous wasteland and they don't know how to survive or stay out of trouble. With no military to protect them, and many of the ground ponies having a vendetta against them, they get into all kinds of troubles that Ebony refuses to stand by and do nothing about. But what can she do with out the Enclave to back her up?
