1. The origins of the infinity gemstones
- The beginning.
There was nothing, quite literally, just some planets and empty galaxies, but there wasn't much else...
Nothing except someone, someone very powerful, its name was Semines, and he/she was powerful enough to destroy this newly formed universe and reduce it to ashes, but it wouldn't do that, mainly because it didn't have reasons to do it.
There was a problem with it, a problem that would decide the fate of the universe itself; it was lonely, Semines was incrediblt lonely, an intelligent being should always be with someone else to interact, but Semines was the only living thing in the universe, and that fact enraged it.
Semines couldn't take it anymore, its loneliness was unbearable, to the point where it used its powers to create more galaxies, more stars, more space, but most importantly, life, some of the creatures Semines made were weird, some others were ugly, some others were beautiful, but they all had something in common: they couldn't see the difference between good and evil.
The creatures kept fighting back and forth, some of them were peaceful and decided to help instead of fight, but there were always too many creatures fighting instead of helping, Semines saw this and thought that maybe these creatures weren't such a good idea, but Semines didn't want to go back to the loneliness it had before, so Semines did something that no creature would've expected...
Semines used its powers to eliminate half of the creatures in each planet, leaving only a few survivors, Semines originally wanted to destroy all of them, but Semines also used its powers to destroy itself, committing suicide and leaving half of the creatures alive as a consequence, but a powerful being like Semines can't just disappear into thin air, so its powers were confined into six little gemstones that had the power over one aspect of reality: space, time, reality, mind, soul and power.
The gemstone of space was really unstable, so it was confined into a small cube to contain and mantain its true form. The cube transported itself into the void, a space between dimensions, until someone found it.
The gemstone of time was lost in space, some say that it landed in a planet near the Earth. But nopony really knows where its located, maybe some creature has it and the rest of the universe doesn't know.
The gemstone of reality was different to the other ones, it was contained in some kind of liquid that poured itself into the core of a planet. Some say it's the Earth, but nopony knows exactly.
The gemstone of the mind landed on the Earth, where today, the princesses of Equestria keep it safe from anypony, it would be extremely dangerous in the wrong hands.
The gemstone of the soul landed on another galaxy, but some creatures called 'Reeks' wanted it so badly that the gem was kept away from them in our moon.
And lastly, the gemstone of power was confined into a little orb, if the pure gemstone touched the ground of a planet, it could destroy it instantly, the orb was kept away in an ancient temple on the planet Hoofus, until now, that is.
Semines disappeared next to our planet, so it's not surprising that a lot of magic affected our race creating the pegasi and the unicorns, and the fact that we have some of the gemstones near our planet shouldn't be a surprise too...

2. A message from the sky.
Author's Note
Hello! I bet none of you expected something like this...
So this is my new 'thing' for now, in case you haven't seen the movie, then you don't have to panic, there won't be any spoilers here! Besides, I'll change a LOT of things from the movie, so it doesn't seem like a copy of it.
Maybe the chapters will be released weekly or monthly, I don't know yet, but it's getting late and I'm falling asleep, so I don't know what I'm saying anymore; for this exact reason maybe the chapters of today will have some horrors of orthography and grammar, so please be patient and try to understand.
2. A message from the sky.
- The gemstone of power
"And why are you telling me stuff I know again, Twilight?" Asked Spike to his adoptive sister.
"Well, because the scientists affirmed that the orb that contains the gemstone of power has been found!" Replied Twilight Sparkle with enthusiasm.
The day was splendid, Twilight had watched the news from yesterday night and decided to tell her little brother Spike that the orb of power now was in hands of the scientists. The joy the alicorn felt could be heard through Twilight's castle, and surely Spike noticed it, she was more happy than usual with this discovery, maybe he should ask her the reason.
"Uh, Twilight, why are you so happy about this?" Asked Spike with curiosity.
"Because now we have three gemstones within our reach: soul, mind and power! Imagine the researching, the experiments, the re-researching, the double experimentation!" Said Twilight, getting closer to his face.
"Um... Yeah, I'll just go over there and clean the rest of the room" Said Spike, nervously getting away from Twilight.
"Meh, whatever, this is so exciting! I can already feel the emotion from when I test the mind gemstone combined with the soul gemstone in a living pony! Whoah... Maybe I should be a little bit less excited" Accepted Twilight.
Suddenly, a knock on the door interrupted Twilight's thoughts and Spike's sweeping, Twilight teleported to see who it was, and when she opened the door, she saw Apple Bloom with a big smile on her face.
"Hi, Twilight! It's time for my date with Spike, can he come out?" Asked the young mare, Spike was really happy to see Apple Bloom, he confessed himself to Rarity a while ago, and they had 'one' little date, and they just didn't match up, so Apple Bloom took this chance to confess herself to Spike, she always felt happy when the dragon boy was around, Spike wanted to see how this would work out, so he took AB to a fancy restaurant to have a date, and they clicked perfectly, being of almost the same age and being hard working kids, they understood each other, and they've been dating for some weeks now.
"Oh, sure, Spike! Apple Bloom's here! It's time for your date!" Yelled Twilight to Spike, who was running towards the door.
"I know, I know, AB, I have something special in mind, I'll take you to the restaurant with the best food I've ever tasted! And it will be all on my account! As long as it doesn't surpass 20 bits, of course."
Apple Bloom and Twilight chuckled softly at this, Spike took Apple Bloom's hand and was ready to step out of the castle to enjoy his date, but suddenly, an object from the sky seemed to get Twilight's attention; it was bigger than a pony, and it seemed to have a pony grabbed to it. Twilight panicked.
"Spike! Apple Bloom! look out!" Yelled Twilight pointing at the object. The pair looked up and saw it, screaming, the dragon and the marethrew themselves off the castle's stairs, dodging the object just in time, the object crashed just in Twilight's doors, she looked at the object, it was Discord holding a pony, who was grabbing something really desperately.
"See? What did I tell you? everything's fine! Look! We're even at the princess' doors" Exclaimed Discord, letting go of the pony.
"Back off, I'm just trying to protect the gemstone of space from him, otherwise, you would've been in so much pain right now." Said the pony, the princess looked at him, it was a stallion, but he looked a little bit like Flash, only he had a beard and a deeper voice, the stallion sighed while levitating the object he was holding, it seemed like a small blue cube, and it seemed like it had a light bulb inside.
"Anyway, Twilight! How much has it been?" Ignred Discord.
"Discord?! What is going on?!" Yelled Twilight.
"Yes, and who are you exactly?" Asked Spike, coming behind with Apple Bloom holding his hand.
"Oh, he is just a friend of mine who fell from the sky with an infinity gemstone." Replied Discord calmly.
"Wait, a what?!" Replied Twilight.
"There's not much time left, DARKOS IS COMING!" Replied the stallion in fear.
"Who?"
"Darkos, he is a tyran from outside the galaxy, he has fallen in love with death herself, and the death thinks that there's too many living creatures in comparison to the dead ones, and she wants Darkos to exterminate half of the creatures of the universe, for that, he is now seeking the infinity gemstones, if he gets them all, he will do it with a snap of his fingers, like this." Said the stallion before snapping his fingers as an example.
"But I thought that the infinity gemstones could only be held by beings of unlimited power!" Exclamed Twilight.
"He is one himself, besides, he has something to control their power, it's called 'the infinity gauntlet', and with it, he can control the power of all the gemstones if he wanted to." Replied the stallion panicking slightly.
"And why can't Discord just snap his claws and send him to another universe or something like that?" Added Apple Bloom.
"Well, because death must have put on a spell on Darkos that protects him and repels my magic, when I get close to him, I just lose my magic, and I'm far too precious to end up like that." Said Discord with pride.
"Uh-huh." Replied Apple Bloom, rolling her eyes.
"Whatever, and just what do you want us to do against someone with a power of that magnittude?" Asked Twilight again.
"We traveled here because Darkos attacked my friend here, and he tried to steal the gemstone of space; even without any gemstones he was really strong, so we had to escape in order to keep away the gemstone of space from him, if he gets it, he would have the abiity to go to anywhere in the universe just by thinking of it. And we travelledhere because you saved Equestria a dozen times, you even saved it from ME, if there'a anypony who knows what to do, that's you." Said Discord, more serious this time.
"Twilight, I think I know how we can help, we'll go to search our friends and the princesses and you just have to protect the gemstone if by any case he gets here." Said Spike.
"So much for our romantic date" Said Apple Bloom.
"If you think that's a good idea, then do it, we need all the help we can find." Said Twilight.
"Okay, we'll see you later, Twilight, take care of yourself!" Spike and Apple Bloom left and waved goodbye to the princess.
"Please, take care." Pleaded Twilight in a low tone.
