A Day Well Spent...Sort of
Apple Bloom looked back on her visit with Twilight. It did seem as if she was in a great hurry, she thought. Apple Bloom knew the feeling well. For years, she had been like Twilight when she got diapers. But who knows what Twilight was getting. Whatever it was, she thought, it must not be something she wants anypony else to see.
Apple Bloom tried to shelve that into the back of her mind for the moment. Today, she had the whole house to herself. And she knew exactly how to spend it. Apple Bloom strapped on her diaper, the one with cute teddy bears and building blocks on it. Her favorite. Having done that, she pulled out a bottle with warm milk she had prepared beforehand, and put a pacifier on a string around her neck. This is how Apple Bloom liked to spend her alone time, acting like a foal wearing diapers and using foal items. “Almost forgot mah onesie!” said Apple Bloom to herself as she rushed to her closet to get it out. When the onesie was finally put on, Apple Bloom was ready to start her day as the foal Apple Bloom.
First Apple Bloom drew pictures with some crayons and paper. Her drawings looked like they were drawn by a filly. That was exactly how she liked it. Having grown bored of that after a while, she played with some Lego bricks. She found that she couldn’t think like a foal when she was given something that required intellect. After that, Apple Bloom felt the need to go to the restroom. Apple Bloom almost got up, but then she remembered: she had a diaper on. Without a moment of hesitation, Apple Bloom acted even more like a foal and let loose. She rolled over on the back and patted herself in the crotch, where her diaper was soaked with pee. “This is why ah like diapers,” said Apple Bloom. “Ah love this feeling.”
Out of curiosity, Apple Bloom glanced at the clock. It was 4:55 PM. Apple Bloom had been regressing so much she lost track of time. “Shit, shit, shit!” said Apple Bloom. “Scootaloo’s coming at 5:00!” Apple Bloom figured she had about ten minutes. After all, Scootaloo takes after Rainbow Dash, and she’s late to everything. Apple Bloom rushed to the closet to hide all her foal items. She got rid of everything but the diaper. It wouldn’t come off. The tapes were stuck. “DAMN IT!” screamed Apple Bloom. It was 5:00. Scootaloo would be there any minute. “I’m so dead,” said Apple Bloom. “If I’m going to be found out, I should at least be up front about it. Maybe Scootaloo won’t be as angry that way.” Apple Bloom was afraid. Very afraid. What if Scootaloo turned on her and spread her secret out of spite, because Apple Bloom hadn’t told her earlier? What if all the nice fillies in town wouldn’t be her friends because she liked diapers? And if no fillies wanted to be her friend, how could she ever find a marefriend? Finding a marefriend was high on Apple Bloom’s list.
Just then, there was a knock on the door. “Oh no,” said Apple Bloom. “This is it. The moment of truth.” She looked through the peephole in the door, and it was definitely Scootaloo. “Here goes nothing.”
“Get down here this minute, Apple Bloom!” yelled Applejack. “Crap!” said Apple Bloom as she quickly shoved the wet diaper she was wearing into the trash. “What in tarnation are ya waitin’ for, Apple Bloom? It’s the first day of apple bucking season!” Applejack said, opening the door in a rage. It had always been a chore to get Apple Bloom out of bed before, and it sure wasn’t any easier now. “I know, I know,” said Apple Bloom. “I’ll be down in five minutes.” Applejack closed the door and left. “Whew,” said Apple Bloom. “That was a close one. I ought to be careful when I’m sleepin’ in diapers.” Apple Bloom had always liked diapers, it seemed, and wished to be a newborn foal ever since she was a little filly, crusading for her cutie mark. Those days passed, but Apple Bloom still had the feelings. She never could understand why she felt this way. It just seemed so natural to her. She was always embarrassed about it, however, and had never told anyone, even Scootaloo or Sweetie Belle. Apple Bloom was afraid of her friends’ reactions. What if they called her names and spread her secret? Apple Bloom didn’t want to take the chance.
Apple Bloom rushed downstairs, honoring her words of five minutes. After eating a quick breakfast, she headed out. “Ah got an errand for ya, Apple Bloom,” said Applejack. “Go deliver these apples to Lyra, she’s expecting them at noon.” “Ok,” said Apple Bloom, with a blank look on her face. “Will do.” The fact of the matter was that she was overjoyed. This gave her the perfect opportunity to go buy some diapers.
With a grin on her face and the apples in her bag, Apple Bloom ran off. First she ran to Lyra’s house, delivering the apples right on time. After that was done, Apple Bloom galloped over the bridge and into Ponyville. She saw the drugstore and ran in. Apple Bloom had a plan to get in and out as quick as possible. She used it every once in a while when she replenished her diaper stock. The plan was simple: go to the diaper aisle, buy some Sliphooves, Gallop Maximum Protection, and Snuggles. Buy a Foally size 5 pacifier, a bottle, and some Hoofsons Foal Powder. Buy some lube, for those times where Apple Bloom needed more from her diapers. Then, run to the self checkout and hope nobody sees. Apple Bloom expected her visit to be routine. But then somepony caught her eye.
“Hi Twilight,” said Apple Bloom. “What r’ you here for?” “Oh, nothing,” said Twilight. “Just my weekly grocery shopping.” Twilight looked suspicious, in that she had her hands behind her back and was sweating profusely. “Whatcha got behind yer back, Twilight?” asked Apple Bloom, her curiosity peaked. “Got something to hide?”
