It was a warm spring day at the schoolhouse in Ponyville. The spring flowers were blooming on the trees and Cheerilee was trying to block out the chaos that was indoor recess. The classroom was a madhouse.

“Why would you need glasses with eyes like that? It must be easy to see stuff from really really far away!” Scarlett stated as if it were some fictional thing like those humans Miss Lyra keeps droning on about.
Technicules responded only with, “Bitch you don’t know me!” Earning a frown and a boop from Scarlett. From the contact, the colt faced forward and went rigid. His eyes turning from a gold yellow to an empty black with dots appearing.
“Wait, did I just system restart him?” She’d have to save that for later when he was bugging her. “See ya later you snot headed dick.” With that, Scarlett’s next targets were another colt and a filly. Though it was hard to tell if it wasn’t just two colts.
Starting wi- “Wait a minute. Are me and Miss Cheerilee the only ponies that aren’t a shade of grey!?” Examining the population of the room and realizing, “Oh my Celestia we are!” This was suddenly really strange now that all the other students were found to be shades of grey. Maybe forty nine or fifty one shades of grey. “Focus girl, you got boops to get to. Can’t lose track of your goal now!” Scarlett amped herself, why she needed to she’ll never know. Onward!
Choosing to target the filly first. A unicorn with a coat much darker than the previous two targets, a red mane, and a broken horn. Her name was Flutter, and she will be booped. Scarlett pounces and successfully boops Flutter mid-sentence.
“So I was wondering where my parents were g-” Flutter froze up, then relaxed into an expressionless face and said, “It’s a cock.” Scarlett almost went into hysterics after hearing that come out of Flutter’s mouth.

Directly next to her was the colt who couldn’t help but giggle a little as well hearing their friend do an almost spot on impression of Pinkie Pie’s sister, Maud. “You must really like their performances, do you go to their concerts often?” Scarlett leaned forward, surprising the young colt. Grim expected to be booped immediately, but it seemed that he didn’t have to fuss about it at the moment.
“Well I have gone to their one in Manehattan and they w-” Grim was cut off as he was deceitfully tricked into letting his guard down, opening himself to a boop.
“Boop.” Scarlett waved her hoof away with a little twirl to finish it off. Now watching for some sort of reaction. At that, Grim essentially turned into a puddle of ectoplasm or flesh or… “Don’t think about it, don’t think about it.” Repeating her little mantra three more times or so. Was that everypony? She looked around the room, she swore there had to be another unicorn in here.
“There he is!” Her eyes locked to the colt in one of the darkest, furthest corners of the room. Sharing a similar charcoal grey coat color to Flutter, but a few differences were still present. One was that his left eye seemed to be scarred, like he was attacked by some big, meany creature. Also that his main and tail weren’t necessarily well kept, not dirty or anything, just a bit rough on the edges and a light ash grey color. Along with that his right eye glowed purple, “That’s pretty cool, I guess.”
“Huh? What was that?” The colt said, looking side-to-side. Oh yeah, he was also partially impaired in his right ear. He must’ve been waiting for his battery in his aid to start working. Wait what was this colt’s name again? Scarlett thought. The name was so strange and different, how could it just slip her mind? “Oh, hi Scarlett. Didn’t realize you made your way back here. Don’t you usually sit towards the front of the class?”
Shit, he’s spotted her. “Oh fuck...” Scarlett uttered quietly under her breath, she was to his right and his aid was out, he couldn’t possibly hear that. But it seems he hasn’t even noticed what she’s done to the other classmates. She couldn’t let him figure out what had happened if she had any chance of booping h- “H-hey um…” Fuck! Why couldn’t his name come to her?
“You forgot again haven’t you?” The colt chuckled. This was a normal occurrence for him, especially with Scarlett. Sometimes he questioned if she just couldn’t quite retain it all or if she was just a screwball, no wait, that was some weird purple pony. “Brian. It’s Brian. I won’t give you the full name this time.”
“Brian! Yeah Brian that was it! I knew all along.” She lied. How could she forget that, until she realized he had four names that made up his full name. She’d remembered him saying that his last one was Germane, Scarlett was partly Germane, but that name was just a mouthful. “Yeah I’d just come back here to…” Looking for an excuse in her head, finally grabbing one. “To check up on you. You always sit away from everypony so I figured I’d see how you were doing. Not summoning some evil from Tartarus are you?” Better than nothing.
Chuckling, Brian looked to her. “I appreciate that, but you really don’t need to.” Oh shit was Scarlett gonna get pulled into a roller coaster of emotions? “I’m honestly surprised you could tell…” He said, almost no heart in his voice, completely different to how Maud would talk. Yep, how could Scarlett avoid having to talk about feelings with this colt? But this could get her close enough to boop him she thought. Hell, maybe she could cheer him up and boop him, everypony reacts differently clearly. Maybe he’d react in a good way?
“What’s going on?” She said, feigning a sympathetic tone. Moving closer to her prey… Not like that, weirdos. As she moved closer his gloomy aura washed over her. Now even she was questioning how he hid it. “Something is on your mind and I wanna help.” Celestia that sounded cheesy, almost as bad as the 3rd grade play they were all in, she played as grass. “You sure you wanna hear it?” Brian stated, unsure if she’d even really care to hear it. “It’s kinda pointless to be honest.” She couldn’t believe she was doing this, but.
“I’m all ears. I won’t judge, laugh, whatever.” Anything to get close enough to boop. It seemed to relax his posture. Taking that as the signal to move closer, she got almost right next to him. “Go ahead, tell me.”
“I’ve been worrying about what will come of me in the future.” Well that was deep and unexpected. “I don’t know what I’m good at, and I doubt just anypony wants something so disfigured and useless.” This colt needs to go to that psych place outside of Ponyville, though nopony usually comes back from there so maybe not.
“Well, I can say that you’re not as disfigured as you think you are, and you’re not useless!” His expression didn’t really change that much. Not knowing much else to do, Scarlett came up with an idea. “Would a hug help cheer you up?” Wait. Did she just say that? Why did she just say that?
Brian looked up to her, a bit of surprise on his face, but still with a small smile on his face. “You’d do that? Why?” Honestly Scarlett had no idea why. Maybe it was to just make him less mopey. Though it does get her into such an easy position to boop him. “I guess a hug could help a bit.” Brian slowly opens his hooves to accept any incoming hug.
Scarlett smiled a bit, this was her chance to boop. She opened her hooves, ready to hug, or that’s what he thinks. Then again, he seemed very fragile right now. “Thank you, Scarlett, I really needed this.” Brian said, embracing the hug closely. He seemed to have been comforted greatly by the hug. Now Scarlett had to decide, would she go along with a thought lingering in the back of her mind? Just boop him? Or drop her little mission all together?
“Screw it” She said to herself, finally deciding on her choice of action. She reared her head back a little to be eye to eye with Brian. The eye contact made his cheeks just a slight bit red, then Scarlett leaned forward and booped him with her own nose.
To her surprise, she was not affected by it. Maybe it’s because she booped him. Brian did react however, his blush deepened from the close call with their muzzles, and his left eye began to glow radiantly. Being so close to it was almost blinding to Scarlett, causing her to cover her eyes with a forehoof.

Suddenly they had teleported into the small wooded area near the schoolhouse. Scarlett was both shocked and amazed by this. Brian’s eye was still brightly shining regardless of being seemingly non-functional. Seems that his eye was still in working order.
“Brian! You teleported us! That’s amazing!” Scarlett was elated at the fact that this colt who often declined using magic for things other than levitating items he wanted brought to him, like books or something. Teleporting was an incredible feat to be certain. Did booping him unlock some magical barrier within him or was he just feigning his magical limits? Or, was it that the boop teleported them?
“I-I didn’t do that. I just imagined a secluded place after that then I saw this area in my eye and then it became real.” So he must’ve just envisioned this spot and the boop teleported them. Almost like a teleportation wish.
“Wait, then how did I teleport with you? I understand you were holding onto me, but wouldn’t it just teleport you? Unless…” Scarlett gasped at the theory forming in her head. “You were thinking of me as well weren’t you?” She gave a mockingly flirtatious grin at him. “Aww, how sweet of you.”
“I-I-I…” Brian was struggling to form a coherent response to what Scarlett had said. She was right on the money with that theory, but he couldn’t have been thinking like that. It was the boop, it was because she was in his entire line of sight, of course he’d be thinking of her. “I was not!” Brian finally stuttered out.
“Oh really? Then why are you still hugging me?” Neither of them had really noticed that they never stopped the hug. Scarlett was just the first to catch on. “Don’t lie to me, I know you were!” She thought, “Well, I guess I can’t blame you.” Brian went to break the hug but Scarlett had held a tight grip around him and used her wings to cacoon him deeper into her grasp.
“What do you mean by that?” He retorted, eventually giving up on trying to break away.
“Well I think somepony thought I was going to kiss them when I closed in for the boop.” Grinning deviously at the flustered colt in her relentless grip. “Well you took us here, I suppose I could make that part come true as well.” Immediately after saying that, Scarlett leaned in and kissed Brian. "Don't worry, we can get it once we head on back. I'm sure Miss Cheerilee has noticed that we disappeared from her classroom." She then reached her hoof and wing around Brian. "But I wanna rest first." Holding Brian close in her snuggle. Brian decided that she was right, it could wait, he was pretty tired himself anyways.
