Author's Note

I would like to point out that Lightsaber (my oc) calls Human Sunset "Sunny" mostly in part to help differentiate her from the Sunset that came over from Equestria.

Prologue/Introduction

It's another peaceful morning in the city of Canterlot. The sun was shining in the morning sky and birds were chirping. And it was also another typical weekday ritual for the Shimmer family. Topaz Diamond and Elanor Sunrise Shimmer have been happy for their twins since they came into this world, and are still happy for them to this day. Their twins, are Lightsaber and Sunset "Sunny" Shimmer. Topaz works at a well known fitness gym, and Elanor works part-time as a model for a popular magazine photo shoot, and in real-estate. But on this perfect day, the events taking place at Canterlot High were far from perfect. Today was the day that Crystal Prep and Canterlot High would compete against each other in the Friendship Games.

At first, when Lightsaber and Sunset were just little kids, they tend to get in a couple of fights here and there, but things changed for them when they hit middle school. Whenever they were picked on in school, they would sometimes stand up for themselves and each other. Sometimes, their arguments with bullies either ended up with them getting scared away with the tough guy/girl act ,or they'd get the crap beaten out of them. Their mother always told them to never raise their fists to anyone, but their dad would always say he's proud of them showing some backbone.

Since middle school, Lightsaber and Sunset decided to put a few of their differences aside and became closer with each other, bonding like a real brother and sister. Of course, their competitive natural instincts never left them when it came to board games or video games, but they never forgot how much their sibling bond meant to each other.

Lightsaber and Sunset have just stepped out onto the driveway of their 2 story suburban house while their parents are still inside getting ready for work, and are getting into their car to drive to school, not very enthusiastic about what awaits for today.

Lightsaber was rambling to himself about how he would like to rub victory in Crystal Prep's face for all the times they vandalized their school. Sunset then opens the passenger door to their car, tosses her bag into the backseat, sits down, and shuts the door.

"Well, Sunset. Ready for today?", Lightsaber asks as he turns the keys in the ignition and then backs out of the driveway, careful to make sure he doesn't hit anyone.

"Ready as I'll ever be. But I'm not looking forward to this." Sunset replies, while buckling up her seatbelt.

"Come on, Sunset. It won't be so bad. Let's keep a little optimism. I'm sure we're gonna win this time", Lightsaber says as he gives her a quick pat on the shoulder, puts the gear into drive, and they make their way to Canterlot High.

"Have you forgotten that we're up against Crystal Prep? The most noteable school that's all about their reputation and winning every challenge?" Sunset asked, chuckling a bit.

"I haven't forgotten, sis. You still gotta have optimism in situations like this", Lightsaber replies as they stop at a red light, Canterlot High being a straight shot turning left.

Sunset sighed. "I suppose you're right. Canterlot High has been getting better after that Fall Formal incident, so we should be able to stand a fighting chance. If we're gonna go down, we'll go down in style", she said, right as they turn left at the lights.

3 minutes later, they pull into the CHS parking lot. "I'll be honest with ya, Sunset. That cream colored jacket looks good on you", Lightsaber says as they get out, and he walks over to the right side of the car to wait for Sunset as she gets out.

Sunset blushed a little bit as she got out of the car with her brother. "Aww. Thanks, bro. I was hoping someone would like my jacket," she replies, closing the door.
After Lightsaber locks it, they begin to walk around to the front of the school, which is only a brief walk.

Lightsaber approaches the front door and holds it open for Sunset to walk in first. Sunset giggled at how much of a gentleman he was being. Lightsaber and Sunset then make their way to the cafeteria to eat breakfast with the girls before the assembly at 8, which was in 12 minutes.

"Hey, nice of you guys to finally join us. I thought you wouldn't show up," Rainbow says, winking at Sunny and Lightsaber as they sit down.

"Well, I guess that makes up special. Hehe", Sunny replies while winking back. Lightsaber gave her the nickname Sunny as soon as the other Sunset showed up from the other world known as Equestria. Usually, he doesn't use her nickname unless the other Sunset is around. Which, she is.

"So, have you girls decided on what events you're going to participate in for the Friendship Games?" Lightsaber asks before taking a bite out of his muffin.

"Well, uh, Lightsaber, that's the thing. We don't even know what the events are yet", Rainbow replied as she takes a sip of her milk.

"But this time, we've all prepared ourselves for the upcoming events. I've even made some of the best outfits to wear! You two should see them, dearies," Rarity said, flicking her hair.

"That can wait until after the assembly," Sunny replied.

"Sunny's right, sugarcube. Plus, ya shouldn't overwork yerself too early, or ya might not have enough energy left for the Friendship Games when it begins," Applejack said with a hint of concern.

Lightsaber looks at his watch, and the time reads 7:54. "We got 6 minutes. I think it's best we get there now or risk showing up to the assembly late", Lightsaber then says after he finishes his orange juice.

"Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's head on over to the assembly and get this party started!" Pinkie said, leaping out of her seat, along with the rest of the girls. Lightsaber and Sunny joined them as they all went to return their food trays, and then headed out of the cafeteria.
