A Sister's Surprising Love
Chapter VII: An ever expanding family
Previous ChapterNext ChapterA total of 5 and a half months passed as Sunny’s baby bump grew a little bigger and almost ready to go into labor while Sunset’s was beginning to show itself. Lightsaber’s wallet was getting a serious workout from all of the times he had to satisfy his wife’s and Sunset’s cravings. At the rate they would eat, it would be next to impossible to even purchase a couple of baby cribs and some diapers. Lightsaber was in a real pickle now.
Sunny was munching on a pretzel on the couch while reading a book when she wrapped an arm around her belly. “Oohhh. Honey, the babies kicked again.” Like a lightning bolt, Lightsaber ran as fast as he could and stopped in front of her to kneel down and feel her stomach.
“Does it still hurt, hun?” Lightsaber asked.
“No… I’m fine. But, that’s the second kick today. They’ve been, getting more frequent in the past week. I think… it’s almost time,” Sunny replied.
“You want me to take you to the hospital? I can do that,” Lightsaber replied.
“No. I’m fine.”
“Alright, but just say the word if it gets a little too unbearable and I’ll grab my car keys and take you to the hospital.”
“Ok, sweetheart.” Sunny leaned in and kissed Lightsaber on the lips before resting up against the couch and continued reading her book. At that very moment, Sunset rang the bell from her room, which Lightsaber responded quickly by running up the stairs. He opened her door and walked inside, with Sunset relaxing on her bed.
“You wanted to see m-?” he asked, before Sunset threw an empty ice cream bucket at him. “Let me guess, more ice cream?”
“Right on the dot, now hurry up and bring me my ice cream A.S.A-freaking-P or I’ll ring your scrawny little neck out!” she called out, pointing out of her room.
“I’m on it.” Lightsaber bolted out of the room and sprinted down the stairs and ran straight into the kitchen. He opened the freezer for any ice cream that might be there. He finds a medium sized mint and chocolate chip ice cream tub. He takes it and closes the freezer. He then runs back into the living room and up the stairs. Lightsaber makes his way back to Sunset’s room and knocks on it within 20 seconds.
“You’d better have my ice cream, mister!” Sunset called out from inside. Lightsaber felt his whole body getting goosebumps, yet, this is something he’s able to cope with after all the time he spent helping out Sunny with her cravings.
He walks into the room to see Sunset still lying on her bed. Her eyes locked on Lightsaber and her arms were crossed. She stared at him impatiently as he approached and gave her the ice cream.
“Thanks, now where was… I…?” Sunset asked herself as she was about to dig in, but then she drops her spoon and buries her face in her hands and starts crying. “What the hell is wrong with me, how can you tolerate me being such a bitch?!” she asked.
“Hey, hey, calm down, Sunset. It’s nothing to fuss over. It’s normal to have these mood swings when you’re pregnant. I’ve learned to cope with it thanks to Sunny, so I can do the same with you no problem. Now, do you need-.” Lightsaber was about to finish when they both heard a gut-wrenching scream from downstairs.
Lightsaber bolted out of Sunset’s room and slid down the stair railing, then ran up to his wife, who had stood up, leaning against the coffee table with one hand and the other on her belly.
“H-Honey… it’s… it’s time! Get me to the hospital, hurry!” Sunny shouted. In an instant, Lightsaber ran over to Sunny and picked her up, carrying her to the front door. Using his magic, he grabbed the keys off the hanger and opened the front door as he bolted to the car. Lightsaber opened the door to the backseats, gently laid Sunny on her back, got in the driver’s seat, turned the ignition and backed out of the driveway as he drove like a madman straight to the hospital.
He felt bad that he had to leave Sunset, but was gonna make it up to her once he knows his wife is taken care of. Sunny groaned, trying to hold on as long as she could. As he pulled into a parking spot, Lightsaber immediately put the car in park and turned off the ignition as he got out and carried his wife into the hospital.
The lady behind the desk sees Lightsaber approaching her and immediately went for the mic. “We’re gonna need a stretcher for a woman in labor in the front lobby. I repeat, requesting a stretcher for a woman in labor, stat!” And not even 5 seconds later, 2 doctors come running into the lobby with a stretcher. Lightsaber sets her down on the stretcher and follows the doctors as Sunny is taken to an open hospital room.
Lightsaber followed them to where they had taken Sunny. However, he wasn’t allowed to go in and so he had to wait outside of the E.R and sat down on the bench. He then pulled out his phone and called for his mother.
“Mom, get dad and the girls here now. Sunny went into labor. I’m over at the Canterlot City Hospital outside of Emergency Room 112.”
“Alright, sweetie. We’ll be there as fast as we can.” Elanor replied. “Let us know how she’s doing when we get there.”
“No problem, I’ll see you guys later,” Lightsaber replied. He hung up and put his phone back in his pocket. Lightsaber slumped back against the bench with a sigh. Lightsaber has never felt more worried before. He knew this day was coming, but he never knew this would hit him harder than a 5000 pound anvil. After a five minute wait which felt like hours, the others finally arrived.
“We came as fast as we can, how is Sunny?” Elanor asked, worried.
“Is she alright?” Topaz asked. Both his and Elanor’s questions were answered when Sunny let out a loud ear-splitting scream. “Whoa, she must be struggling in there. I can still remember how pissed off your mom was when she was in labor with you two.”
Lightsaber shivered. “Was she that scary?”
“I practically made your father piss his pants when I gave him my death glare. You should have seen the look on his face when he sprung a leak in this very lobby,” Elanor teased.
“Hun, please! Not right now, not when our son is going through the same thing.” Topaz facepalmed himself in embarrassment.
Just then, one of the doctors came out from the E.R and looked in the family’s direction. “Whichever one is the husband, could you please come inside, your wife would like to see you.” he said. Lightsaber walked in to see how his wife was doing. Sunny was breathing heavily, her belly was still huge.
“H-Honey?” he asked. Right as he got close enough, she gave him the scariest death stare, making him yelp. But she was far from done with him. Sunny grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled her husband in closer.
“You piece of fucking shit, you’d better hope I don’t end up getting torn to shreds delivering these babies! Why’d you have to let out so much inside of me, you fucking asshole?!?!?!” she snarled through her teeth.
Lightsaber was scared out of his wits from her outbursts. “H-Honey, t-t-take it easy, I’m right here for you, okay?” he said, trying not to sound scared, but he failed.
“I sure fucking hope so, you SON OF A…. son of a…” Sunny’s outburst immediately stop and her death stares is replaced by a look of fear and sadness. “P-Please… please, hold me… I-I’m so scared.” Lightsaber did just that, and grabbed her hand.
“It’s ok, honey. I’m right here beside you, and I’m not going anywhere. Just breathe and push.” he said, comforting her. She took a few deep breaths before pushing as hard as she could. Sunny was sweating buckets right now, yet she kept pushing and pushing until… the sweet sounds of a crying baby filled the room.
The doctors catch the baby and help cut the umbilical cord before cleaning off the baby. The doctors them give Sunny one of her new baby girls to her. She holds her first born daughter close to her and starts kissing her forehead.
“Oh, she’s so beautiful, isn’t she?” she asked.
“She sure is, honey. But it’s not over just yet.” Lightsaber replied. Sunny nodded before she handed Lightsaber his baby girl. She took a huge, deep breath before letting out one more giant push, despite being exhausted after delivering one child. The doctors reach out for the other baby and soon, another crying baby could be heard.
“Good work, Sunny. You’ve just given birth to another baby girl,” the doctor said, happily. Just like the first baby, he cut the umbilical cord and cleaned her off before handing her over to her new mother.
“Aw, my sweet little baby. It’s okay, mommy’s here. Mommy’s got you.” Lightsaber couldn’t help but shed a tear of happiness.
“Hi, my little princess. Welcome to the world. I’m your new daddy,” Lightsaber said, cradling their first born daughter. “Hey, now that our girls have been born, how about we get mom and dad in here to see their new granddaughters?”
“Yeah. Could you go get them?”’ Sunny asked one of the doctors.
“Can do. And congratulations on your new children,” the doctor said before walking out. “I’d like for Sunny’s mother and father to step inside, please. Your daughter has just given birth to two baby girls.”
“Did you hear that, honey? We’re finally grandparents! Come on, let’s see ‘em,” Topaz said. He grabs Elanor by the hand and takes her with him into the E.R. From the moment they see Lightsaber and Sunny holding their newborns, Topaz and Elanor felt their hearts skyrocketing.
“Aww, are those our baby granddaughters? They look so cute!” Elanor said, walking up closer to see the babies. Sunny gave her 2nd born to Elanor to get a better look at her. The now proud grandmother rocked the baby gently from side to side. Elanor then started to sing a lullaby to her grandchild. The little one opened her eyes, revealing that they were in fact glowing.
“Hey, do you see that, mom?” Lightsaber asked, surprised.
“Yes, I do. They’re practically the same eye color as your eyes, Lightsaber. Ohh, but she’s so cute though.”
“Cute as these little princesses may be, they still need names. Any ideas, honey?” Lightsaber asked.
“How about….. Prism Star, and Sunflower? They seem like perfect names for our little girls.” Sunny replied.
“They’re perfect. Just as they should be. Alright then, Sunflower Shimmer and Prism Star Shimmer are the official names of our two beautiful girls,” Lightsaber said. Prism Star and Sunflower both let out happy giggles. “I guess these two like their new names.”
“Oh, no doubt about it. They’re as beautiful as their mother,” Topaz said, tickling Sunflower’s chin, making her giggle.
“Thanks, dad,” Sunny replied.
“You’re welcome, sweetie. As for you, champ. I think it’s time for you to let these ladies rest up for the night. I can imagine it must have been severely tiring to give birth to two babies. You remember that feeling all too well, don’t you, honey?” Topaz asked his wife.
“Indeed. Let’s at least get a picture of these four together before we leave. This is a moment I want to treasure for as long as I live.” Elanor replied, reaching into her purse to get her camera. She pulls it out and points it at the new parents. Lightsaber and Sunny brought their daughters close to them and smiled for the camera. Elanor snapped the photo a few times to make sure it wasn’t blurry.
“That’ll be a keeper. Come on, honey. Let’s get these photos developed and hang them up on the wall.” Topaz said.
“Alright, let’s get going. I’ll be here in the morning to pick you girls up, ok sweetie?” Lightsaber asked Sunny.
“Okay, and be sure to let the others know I’m doing ok,” Sunny replied.
“No problem. Rest up, hun. I love you,” Lightsaber said before leaning in and kissing his wife and two kids. Lightsaber walked out of the E.R with their parents and into the main lobby, where the girls were waiting.
“Hey, Lightsaber! Is Sunny okay?” Rainbow asked.
“She’s not too hurt, is she?” Fluttershy asked, concerned.
“It’s okay, there’s no need to worry. Sunny just needs a little rest. After bringing two baby girls into the world, it tuckered her out.” The girls awed in unison.
“So what are their names?” Rarity asked.
“Sunflower and Prism Star Shimmer. Really cute girls. I’ll show you girls what they look like right after I get a heads-up from the doctor saying she’s being released.”
:”Great! Then, I’ll be ready to throw the biggest party ever!” Pinkie blurted out. “Just say the word and I’ll be there faster than you can say “BABY!!!”
“Heheh. Thanks, Pinkie.” Lightsaber chuckled, and they all left the hospital. While the girls went back to their own homes, Elanor and Topaz went to get the photos developed, and Lightsaber went back home to check on Sunset. He arrived back minutes later, and ran up to Sunset’s room to check on her.
“How are the babies, Lightsaber? Did Sunny pull through ok?” Sunset asked.
“Yeah, she and the babies doing just fine. They’re gonna be staying overnight at the hospital though. You need anything?”
“Buffalo chicken wings, please. Boneless,” Sunset replied.
“Alright, I’ll be back in a jiffy with the buffalo wings. You just relax.”
“As if I have a choice. Now hurry on over and get my buffalo wings! I’m fucking hungry!”
“Whoa, okay Sunset. I’ll be back as soon as I can,” Lightsaber said, kissing Sunset on her forehead. “Just calm your titties,” Lightsaber replied, putting his hands up n front of his face.
“Oh-ho, calm my titties? Did you just tell me to calm… my… TITTIES?! Get your ass over here and say that to my face, see what’ll happen to you then!” Sunset snapped. Lightsaber backed away from the angry pregnant Sunset and ran out of her room. “GET YOUR ASS BACK IN HERE YOU ASSHOLE!!!!!” Immediately freezing where he’s standing, Lightsaber slowly walks back into Sunset’s room, ready for whatever Sunset had in store.
“Y-Yeah, Sunset?” he asked, nervously. She motioned him to come to her. He walked towards her bed and up to her.
Right as he was within her reach, she slammed her fist into his gut, making him barely flinch. She grabs him by the neck and pulls his face in, locking lips with him hard. Lightsaber might not be able to feel pain anymore, but Sunset still scares him when her hormones kick in.
After she was done with the lip lock, she pulls away and grins at Lightsaber. “You’re lucky you’re fucking cute and sexy, big boy. Now get the hell out of my room and get my wings!”
“As you wish, m’lady.” Lightsaber left Sunset’s room, and ran back down the stairs to go get her boneless buffalo chicken wings. Lightsaber ran out the door and locked it from the outside. He then hopped into his car and started it up before driving off. Sunny never quite got this angry, but then Lightsaber remembered, Sunset is from Equestria, so her hormones can be a bit different than his wife’s.
Either way, Lightsaber’s life has really improved a lot, and it’s only about to get even better when it’s time for Sunset to deliver his child, or children. But for now, all he’s gotta worry about right now is satisfying Sunset’s cravings and wait for his wife and daughters to come home.
Lightsaber felt like the happiest man alive… even though he’s partly undead.
