Chapters Another Day, Some More Kids
Sunset walked into her house, shutting the door behind her as she placed her bag on to her bed. She opened it taking a bunch of books out. They all had names like "Cluster The Dragon" or "Her First Meow". These were all kid books. Sunset had recently came back from the library with a bunch of books to read to her favorite group of kids at the orphanage. She enjoyed spending time with them and taking the time she had that was free to read stories to them. They really did seem to enjoy them to. And from the caretakers there, they had told her a lot of the kids always wonder where she is and when she'll come back next to tell them more stories. It made Sunset feel warm and fuzzy to know the kids enjoy her presence. She had some kind of special connection with them and she didn't know why. She just felt safe and happy with the orphans. Not that she didn't with her friends, but felt closer with them.
"These books should do. I should get going now though if I want time to study for that math test tomorrow."
Sunset put the books back into her bag and and began walking to the orphanage. It wasn't far, so it wasn't too far of a walk for her. It was also good exercise in a way.
She soon found herself at the entrance of the orphanage, going inside.
"Ah, Sunset Shimmer! Glad to see you back." A lady that was quite tall with a bun and red glasses greeted her.
"Hi Mrs. Sherry. Glad to see you too." Sunset smiled.
Sunset knew about almost all the staff within the orphanage about now. She had became good friends with a lot of them considering she came there quite often. In Sunset's mind, it was good to be friends with all the people there, that way she didn't have to dread coming there or try to avoid anyone. Although, there was one person she didn't like really out of the staff there. Although, there was one person she didn't like really out of the staff there. Mr. Berry. He didn’t really seem to like Sunset or the kids either. Whenever Sunset said hi or even walked past him, Mr. Berry gave her a dirty look usually. Or, when he was handling the kids, he didn’t seem very nice to them. It could've just been Sunset that thought he was that way so she didn’t dwell on that much.
She walked down a hallway, passing a few of the staff on her way and greeting them. She turned to the right room, opening the door. When she came inside there was a hurricane of kids rushing at her and trapping her in a bunch of hugs.
“Woah! Hey everyone.” Sunset giggled as the many kids hugged her.
“Are you reading us another story?” One of the children asked.
“Of course! Why wouldn’t I be?” Sunset replied, sitting down on a pillow on the floor.
The kids gathered around grabbing their own pillows to sit on and awaiting Sunset to start.

A lot of the kids were now lying down on their pillows when she looked up from her book.
“Well, you all looked like you got nice and comfy while I was reading. Anyway, I have to go now. I have to study for something.” Sunset put the book back into her bag and got up.
“Aww..Do you really have to go now? Maybe read us another story.” One of the children pleaded, hoping to change Sunset’s mind.
“Sorry Moon, I need time to study so I can ace a test I have tomorrow. I’ll come back tomorrow after school though, I promise.” Sunset hugged the small child named Moon and started to leave.
“Bye everyone!” Sunset waved goodbye, along with the other children as she shut the door.

“Sunset?..Sunset Shimmer?...Sunset..” A faint voice was heard within Sunset’s mind as she suddenly shook her head and came back to earth.
“Wha?..Oh.” Sunset seem to be a bit off today.
“Sunset? Are you okay? You seem like you didn’t get any sleep.” Her friend Twilight spoke concerned as she walked beside her.
“Oh..Yeah. I’m fine. I just stayed up for a long time studying for that math test.” Sunset replied, rubbing her eyes in which had dark circles under them.
“You really should go to bed earlier if your tired like this. You have a whole 5-6 hours to study. What are you doing with your free time?” Twilight asked.
“Going to the orphanage in town to read to the kids.”
“How long have you been doing this?” Twilight asked again.
“About a month or so. The kids really enjoy it and I’m happy I make them happy.”
“Well, I’m glad you're making people happy, just make sure to take care of yourself first though, okay?”
“Fine, if you say so Twilight.” Sunset replied as they entered a classroom.

“And then the kittens and their mother cuddled up together and had a wonderful sleep.” Sunset shut the book as she looked out to see all the kids asleep in their beds.
Sunset smiled warmly to know she put the kids to bed and got up, leaving the orphanage. When she left the orphanage her friend Pinkie Pie suddenly popped up out of nowhere in front of her.
“AAAH!” Sunset screamed, almost falling backward but she caught herself luckily.
“Oh, sorry Sunset! I didn’t mean to scare you! Whatcha doin’?” Pinkie asked in her normal excited tone.
“That’s alright Pinkie. I’m just walking home now.” Sunset gently calmed herself down now.
“Great! I got a invitation for ya’!” Pinkie handed Sunset a pink envelope with a purple heart sealing it.
Sunset held the invitation in her hand for a moment just to look at the outside of it and then took off the purple heart, opening the envelope and taking the invitation out. It was a white paper folded up small enough to fit into the envelope. She opened the paper next and began reading it over. It looked like it was typed up on a computer and printed as well.
“Dear my good friend Sunset Shimmer, you are invited to a Friendship Party! I’ve invited you and all our friends. There will be treats, games, and lots of chatting and fun! Hope to see you there!
From Pinkie Pie.
BTW, it will be after school tomorrow so make sure your caught up on homework before then! ”
Sunset finished reading the invitation and closed it.
“Hope to see ya’ there Sunset!” Pinkie took off running now.
“WAIT! PINKIE, I CAN-....Never mind..” Sunset tried to call Pinkie back but it seemed the girl was too fast for her and was already gone.
Sunset heaved a sigh as she started to walk back home again. What was she going to do? She was suppose to see the kids again tomorrow. But she didn’t want to miss Pinkie’s party or disappoint any of her friends. It was either the kids, or her friends. She didn’t want to pick between either, but she had no choice.
“How dare you Sunset! I gave you a invitation, you say your going to come, and you don’t come!” Pinkie yelled quite angry at her,
“Woah, woah. Hold on. Let's just start with one thing. First of all, I didn’t say I was going to officially come to your party. I was trying to yell to you I couldn’t come but you were already gone. Second, why are you in my room?” Sunset both answered and asked.
“Well, for one thing. We’re all concerned about you Sunset.” Sunset looked to the right seeing all the rest of her friends come in.
“Come on you guys, we did this already. You know I’m fine.”
“You are absolutely not if you missed one of my parties!” Pinkie accused Sunset.
“Look...I had to go to the orphanage and read them a story okay? I do it everyday.”
“That’s another problem darling. Its okay to do good things, but you need to worry about yourself first. Take care of yourself and then others.” Rarity exclaimed.
“Yeah, you can still go read a story to them kids. Just make time for it. Like..You could do it on weekends!” Applejack replied.
“And take a break from studying and make sure you get some sleep.” Twilight said, leaning on one of the walls near Sunset smiling.
Sunset thought about it for a bit and then nodded.
“Alright, I think I can do that.”
“Great! Now, lets have that party?..” Pinkie asked, spreading her arms out in the air.
“After Sunset gets some sleep.” Rainbow said, they all nodded agreeing.
The girls left after that to let Sunset sleep.

Sunset was sitting at a table eating a cupcake while she watched her friends and the orphan kids from the orphanage dance. She swallowed a bite of the cupcake, grabbing out her journal and pen, opening it to a blank page and writing.
“Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle, this week has been a lot to handle. I’ve been going to a orphanage for about a month now to read to the kids. Seems pretty nice right? Well, seems my schedule was a bit too full and I forgot to at least sleep or make time for myself. It took my friends to notice my problem. But, after rescheduling my times with the kids, now I feel a lot better and well rested. I know your one to overwork yourself as well so just a short reminder. Make time for yourself before others. You are important to yourself. Hope your having a good week or weekend, whatever it is in Equestria right now. From Sunset Shimmer. ”
Sunset finished writing, shutting her journal and putting her pen and journal back in her bag.
“Sunset!! Come join us!” Pinkie yelled across the party.
“Coming!” Sunset put her bag down and ran over to her friends, joining them in the dance.

The next morning, Sunset was walking through the school hallways trying her best not to at least smack into any walls. She hadn’t got a wink of sleep at all last night. She wasn’t doing homework or studying. She was busy stressing all night. Fluttershy passed her in the hall and waved at her but Sunset didn’t respond as she seem to be in her own world. Fluttershy stared back at her while still walking when she suddenly bumped into Rarity.
“Oh! I’m sorry Rarity. I wasn’t watching where I was walking..” Fluttershy apologized.
“It's fine darling. Looks like someone else isn’t either.” Rarity pointed forward as Fluttershy looked.
Sunset suddenly walked into a wall, banging her head as she rubbed her head groaning. Rarity and Fluttershy watched confused as Sunset tried to walk away from the wall but kept banging into it. It concerned the girls as they walked over to Sunset.
“Sunset? Are you feeling alright?” Rarity asked quite concerned for Sunset’s health.
“Ugh...I’m..Fine.” Sunset stopped trying to move away from the wall now as she rubbed her head.
“Oh yeah..My bad.” Sunset now moved away from the wall and began walking again.
“Darling, I really don’t think you’re fine. You have dark circles under your eyes and your slamming into a wall without knowing it. It's a clear sign of not enough sleep dear.” Rarity said.
“Don’t worry about..I-It Rarity. It's a Wednesday. Everyone’s tired on Wednesday’s because they come back from the weekend right?..”
Both girls looked at Sunset very confused.
“Sunset..That’s about Mondays. Wednesday is in the middle of the week.” Fluttershy replied.
“Oh yeah..Guess I forgot.” Sunset yawned, walking to her next class.
Both Fluttershy and Rarity exchanged worried looks to one another worried about their friend.

“And then…” Sunset yawned. “Cluster saved the city...And..They…” Sunset suddenly fell asleep in the middle of her reading and the kids stared at her curiously. One of the kids got up and poked Sunset, slightly shaking her awake as well.
“Wha?..Oh, sorry kids...Guess I fell asleep.” Sunset yawned again and the kids exchanged glances.
After such a rough day of being told she looked sleepy or passed out in class, she threw her bag on to her bed and lied down on it giving a large sigh.
“Today..Felt so long..I’m glad to just lay in my bed and relax…”
Sunset began closing her eyes when she heard a large bang like someone kicked her door down. Her eyes sprung open and she sat up in bed quite terrified suddenly.
“H-Hello?..Anyone here?” Sunset asked as she frantically looked around her room in fear.
Suddenly Pinkie ran into her room, she didn’t look very happy at all.
