Chapter 2 The Demon's Trip to the Castle and a Ponies spell
Satania began, "Now the tale of my greatness begins when...."
"HOLD ON! If we are going to have to sit through this we should at least be comfortable... how about we go back to Twilight's castle." said Rainbow Dash
"Rainbow Dash. I don't think "sit through" is the best way to describe our new friend telling her story," said Fluttershy.
"FINE. Listen to her story then," said Rainbow.
"Regardless of Rainbow Dash's lack of tact she is right darlings. If we are going to be hearing this for awhile it would be best to do so in our cutie mark thrones rather than on the muddy ground." said Rarity.
The other ponies nodded in agreement before Twilight turned to Satania, "That sounds good with me... Are you ok with that Satania." When Twilight looked at her though she saw that Satania was just standing there mouth agape in shock.
"HOLD ON YOU LITTLE HORSE THINGS HAVE THRONES," she then gestured at Twilight, "And you purple one YOU have a castle!"
Twilight sighed not just at rudeness the of Satania's statement but at the fear that once again someone is going to start treating her differently once they find out she is a princess. "First of all we are not "horse things" we are ponies, secondly my name is Twilight Sparkle, but you can just call me Twilight, and finally yes I do have a castle and thrones because I am the princess of friendship and it is my duty to, with the help of my friends here, spread the magic of friendship all across this land." she then prepared herself for the sudden gush of someone meeting a princess. Instead she got something else.
"That sounds cool. I'll have to take note of your castle's design as it might have something useful for when I become demon queen and build my castle, though I will not be building it myself as I will have a loyal army of servants to do stuff like that for me..." and she just kept going on and on about her future demon castle as they walked.
Twilight was a little a gasp as while yes Satania's shameless shelf promotion was a little annoying it was no where near as bad as the freak out she gets whenever she tells someone she is a princess. Don't get me wrong she thought, it was a huge honor becoming a princess and she absolutely loved getting to help Equestria, but it was hard sometimes seeing everyone fawn over you, ask for you autograph, and just everything. That's why she liked hanging out with her friends so much as it felt nice to be treated like a normal pony again even just for a bit. But this Satania person is so self absorbed that she does not care about the accomplishments of those around her as to her they are nothing compared to her own, maybe that's why Starlight liked hanging out with Trixie so much because Trixie is so rapped up in herself to care about Starlight's past Twilight thought. Either way she was starting to think that maybe this day would not be so bad.
"Alright we are here." said Twilight as they reached the front of the castle. Luckily the Rainbow Falls traders exchange was going on today so most of the town was empty and they did not have to explain Satania to anyone else on the way there. Starlight and Trixie had even gone in order to try and trade some of Trixie's old one pony magic trick props for some more two pony magic trick for stuff them to use together so they would the castle all to themselves too.
"Hmm. It's pretty nice. A little small but that's to be expected with a castle for ponies, anyway let's go in so you can here my amazing tale," said Satania.
Twilight opened the castle door and led the way to throne room as she again felt maybe Satania's ego wasn't so bad but that thought was quickly forgotten about as when they reached the throne room Satania burst right into Twilight throne and plopped down on it with her legs crossed and her hand covering one of her eyes in some kind of over dramatic pose to try and look cool. At this Twilight started mentally kicking herself for thinking she was not so bad. Before she could say anything Applejack spoke up.
"Now you just stay and get comfortable mam. We need to discuss something real quick," she then led everyone into the hall.
"Fine, but be quick I swear you will be regretting every moment you put off hearing my amazing and fantastic story." said Satania as they left.
Once they all were in the hallway Twilight spoke up, "What is it Applejack?"
"Yeah I mean you seriously can't still think she's a threat after seeing Twilight knock her out in one blow," said Rainbow.
"It's not that. I just do not think we can trust her is all," said Applejack.
"Now it's not very nice to just say she's lying with no proof." said Fluttershy.
"No not like that I just mean that her ego is so bloated that her version of her story is probably gonnah be different from how it actually happened," said Applejack.
"OH. That seems fair," said Fluttershy.
"Ok but what are we to do. If we try and say all this to her she is just going to get offended and might not tell us anything at all," said Rarity.
"That and I think her version of the story is probably gonnah be way more fun to hear than the truth," said Pinkie Pie with an innocent smile.
"There might be a way we can hear booth." said Twilight as she got an idea. The rest of the group looked at her confused so she explained, "I recently learned a new type of truth of spell, unlike most it doesn't force the pony it is cast on to say the truth. Instead it works more like a translator spell in that the caster and anyone she choices will hear the full truth of what somepony is saying in there head while the pony it was cast on is talking. That way we can hear what she's saying and what it really means while not letting her know."
"Nice work Twi I know you would have a spell or something when I called you hear now get to casting so we can find out her deal," said Applejack.
Twilight nodded, charged her horn, and let her out a wisp of magic that flew into the throne room and hit Satania. Luckily she seemed to doze off while bored and waiting for the mane six to return so she didn't notice. "All right," said Twilight, "Let's hear what she has to say and how we can help her."
Author's Note
So now Satania is in the castle of friendship ready to explain everything to the mane 6. I initially planned on having her actually tell the story of Gabrial Dropout in this chapter but as I was writing the build up to it the chapter just kept getting longer and longer to the point where I felt like this was a good cut off point so I am sorry if it feels a little weak compared to the first chapter. Anyway once again this is my first real fanfic and I am open to constructive criticism and I hope to see you in the next chapter.
Chapter 3 A Demon Tells Her Story
The mane six walked back into the throne room and saw Satania was currently still asleep in Twilight's throne with her legs still crossed and her hand still over one eye in order to look cool. Twilight looked back at her friends and whispered, "Now let's see if the spell worked," she then spoke up and said, "Miss Satania we are ready to hear you story."
Satania then woke up and had her smug look return to her face, "Ah yes of course, I was just busy meditating in order in to contain my vast demonic power," soon after she finished saying that all of the mane six heard (I fell asleep because you left me in this boring room alone) in there head confirming that the spell did indeed work. "Now it all started when I graduated from demon school with highest honors (barely passed) and was sent to Earth in order to spread evil and chaos among the mortals." The mane six sat for a few seconds waiting for that to be translated into the truth and when it wasn't they were all shocked.
"WAIT YOU REALLY ARE AN EVIL DEMON!" said Rainbow Dash.
"YOU MEAN THIS SILLY FILLY WAS TELLING THE TRUTH!" said Applejack.
"AND WE PROMISED TO HELP OUT A MONSTER LIKE HER!" said Twilight Sparkle.
"Actually it is not that surprising or bad at all," said Fluttershy.
The others simply let out a collective "WHAAT!" and stared at her.
"Miss Satania you said that this was the job of you and all other demons, can I assume that there are also beings meant to spread order and goodness among Earth's mortals?" said Fluttershy.
Satania looked a little surprised before saying, "Yes those are the angels like that detestable Gabriel but I will get to her later. How did you know about that?"
"Oh I have a friend named Discord who has a similar role in our world," she then looked at her friends and continued, "I forgot to tell you all this but not too long ago Discord tried to act completely normal at a tea party to impress me and he started to fade away. I had to cause chaos in order for him to reaper and afterwards he explained that there are immortal beings like him who simply must cause chaos and immortal beings like Celestia who absolutely must maintain harmony. Booth need to exist in order to maintain balance in the universe and if either one were to quit doing there job it could lead to untold disasters. He said the reason he was disappearing is that in this universe if one of them stops doing there job said being well be erased and then simply replaced with a new one. Considering you haven't been spreading any evil since you got here but haven't faded away either I am guessing that it doesn't quite work the same way in your universe but it's the same basic concept right?" said Fluttershy before looking back at Satania for confirmation.
Satania smiled and said, "It makes me happy to meet a mortal who truly understands the beauty of my demonic works." (I am glad you understand it my teachers used to go on and on about that balance stuff and I never really got it)
"Well if it's necessary for the survival of her universe I guess it's ok," said Rainbow Dash, "What do you think Twi? Um Twilight?"
Twilight just stood there dumbfounded at all this new information. Celestia and Discord are polar opposites of each and booth are needed for our world to exist she thought. But what about when Discord was in stone? Is that why so many villians like Sombra and Nightmare Moon only first emerged after Discord was in stone? Because the universe was out of balance and the resulting issues corrupted ponies? She then snapped out of it and decided she would ask Celestia all these questions some other time. "Sorry. What you do may not sound appealing to us Satania but we understand you need too do it. We are sorry for judging you and would like you to continue your story."
"Of course. Now then I was causing the most evil and demonic acts all across the world (I was pulling pranks at my school) such as undercutting there economy, ridiculing there knowledge, and ruing there environment (switching the price tags at stores around, ignoring my homework, and throwing recyclable trash in the nonrecyclabe bin) I was on the fast track to being demon queen and absolutely no one could stop me." (I was barely meeting my quota of bad deeds and had my pay cut a couple times.)
Everyone in the mane six did there best to stifle a laugh at hearing what Satania thought was evil deeds. Rainbow Dash almost couldn't contain herself but Applejack nudged her hoof and made her hold it in.
"Ah I see you are all on the verge of tears at hearing all my dark deeds," said Satania who seemed to have no idea these were tears of laughter as evident by the fact that there was no translation afterwards. "Unfortunately these did not continue as soon an angel by the name of Gabriel showed up to ruin all I have done. She spites me by doing the same deeds as I but with some kind of goody angel twist to make them good and make me look bad. (She does all the same stuff I do without even trying or really even caring.) And whenever I attempt to do something to destroy her and her goody ways (to mess with her and ruin her day) she uses her advanced angel magic to undo my work before it even affects her and sometimes even turns it around on me. (she simply does not care no matter what I do to her and will sometimes trick me into turning my prank on myself). She even tricked my greatest comrade Vigne into joining her cause and spreading good. (Vigne keeps trying to get her to act like a proper angel to maintain the balance and because she liked doing good deeds to begin with). Moreover she has a comrade named Raphie who seems to a demon acting as an angel as she always messes with me and causes chaos." There was no translation on that so it looks like it's true. "After several failed attempts to best Gabriel i finally found the perfect way. Through great study I learned of a spell to enter heaven the home of the angels (I saw it for sale on the late night demon shopping network) I planned on using the spell to go heaven will I infiltrate Gabriel's fortress and bring it to the ground and make Gabriel writhe in agony. (I would break into Gabriel's room and threw out all her clothes and replaces them with ones that are slightly too small so she will be uncomfortable all day without realizing why and maybe think she's getting fat.) But unfortunately something went wrong with the spell and now here I am."
"Hmm I see. Will if that's it I think we can help you." said Twilight.
"Really? And what can you ponies do for me?" said Satania.
"Well I can make you a fresh new ensemble that will truly fit a demon queen," said Rarity.
"I can help you do better pranks, I mean dark deeds, on that Gabriel girl," said Rainbow Dash.
"I can help you build up your strength by working on the farm so you wouldn't have to complain about anypony being stronger than you," said Applejack.
"I can talk to Discord and together we can explain more about the balance and how demonic energy works so that you can expand your influence and improve your work," said Fluttershy.
"OHH. I can show you how to make awesome cakes, and pies, and muffins, and throw amazing parties," said Pinkie who then paused for a second before remembering who she was talking too, "Um. So you can win over the hearts of mortals so they will join your side and follow your cause," she said with a somewhat nervous smile.
"Hmm I'm not sure if I need your help but I guess it couldn't hurt," (OH THANK YOU SO MUCH I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET) said Satania.
"And of course I can take a look at that portal spell card of yours to try and fix it so it can send you home after we're all done," said Twilight Sparkle.
Satania pulled out the card and Twilight grabbed it in her magic. "Just be careful, there is some powerful demon magic in that," (I spent a lot of good yen on that so you better not break it) she said. "Now then your new queen is tired from this long day (that nap wasn't enough) where might I lay my regal head."
"Ohh. I have plenty of guest rooms here in the castle. There is one just down that hall and to the left if your OK with that." said Twilight as part of her hoped maybe she wouldn't be OK with it and have to stay somewhere else.
"That seems fine," said Satania who then began walking to the hall Twilight indicated, "Goodnight pony creatures. I will see you all in the morning when you begin serving me." (I am looking forward to your lessons to help me tomorrow) She then walked away.
Rainbow Dash then jumped in front of Twilight and with an intense stare said, "OK you have to remove that spell from her ASAP."
"Why?" said Twilight.
"Because if you don't I don't think I am gonnah be able to keep myself from a laughing whenever she talks," she said before finally giving way under the pressure and laughing on the floor. Honestly everypony else was surprised she held out for as long as she did and silently agreed with her.
Author's Note
* all of the text in parenthesis is what the mane six are hearing in there head because of Twilight's spell. So that is the end of the introduction chapters. The next chapters are going to be more episodic with most of them being about different members of the mane six (and later maybe some other ponies) trying to help Satania. Will any of them actually be successful in helping the arch demon get closer to dreams? Find out next chapter. Chapter 4 A Demonic Makeover
Satania was laying on the bed in Twilight's guest room sleeping peacefully when she suddenly woke up with a start as she heard a sing song voice saying "Good Morning." Satania sprung upright and looked around to see who had woke her up only to see Rarity setting next to her bed.
"YOU! White pony thing how dare you interrupt why glorious royal arch demon rest," said Satania.
Rarity looked a little annoyed but then recomposed herself before saying, "First of all my name is Rarity but I can forgive you for that since I never properly introduced myself yesterday, secondly I am terribly sorry that I had to wake you up this early darling but most of the citizens of Ponyville have never really seen a creature like you before and we all agreed that it would be best to minimize the amount of ponies that see you until Twilight can make an official royal announcement of your presence. As for why I am here at all that is simple. I simply could NOT let a future queen, self proclaimed or not, walk around in such a dreadful outfit so I am here to take you to my boutique so we can design you a new outfit befitting of a royal stature."
"Ah. I see, very well then I can understand that my amazing and gorgeous demonic appearance might catch the average citizen off guard and yes my school uniform is no where near the quality of an arch demon so of course let us design a great outfit that reflects my true royal demonic essence," said Satania.
"Excellent now follow me please," said Rarity as she led the way out of the castle and into the streets.
Despite the early hour as they walked along a handful of ponies saw Satania and ran back into there homes, or possible just the nearest buildings as a few times as soon as a pony went inside they heard a scream that did not seem to belong to the pony that they had just seen run in. Rarity became a little worried that Satania's feelings where being hurt and turned to comfort her only to then she that she was had her hands on her hips and her smug look on her face. "DAHAHAHA YES COWER IN FEAR BEFORE YOUR NEW LORD AND MASTER LITTLE PONIES," said Satania.
"Well sweetie I hate to rain on your parade but the fact of the matter is this is a small town and the ponies here are easily startled by anything new. Why they reacted the exact same way when my zebra friend Zecora first moved to town," said Rarity casually leaving out the detail that she herself had reacted to Zecora the same way.
"Nonsense clearly they are sensing my great demonic power and are running in fear of my eminence even if they do not realize it themselves," said Satania
Rarity just gave a half-hearted smile at this and they walked the rest of the way to Carousel Boutique in silence.
"Here we are darling Carousel Boutique the finest dress shop in all of Ponyville and the crow jewel of my entire fashion corporation," said Rarity beaming with pride.
"Ehhh it's much to bright and happy looking for my taste. Are you sure that you can make something fitting my greatness and darkness," said Satania.
Rarity was once again annoyed by her comments but manged to stifle it before saying, "Oh trust me I can make an outfit you will absolutely adore." They then went inside and Rarity levitated a sketch book over to Satania and said, "I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of making a few preliminary designs for you. What do you think I based them off your current outfit but with much better colors and a touch more flair."
Satania flipped through the drawing before saying, "NONONO THIS IS ALL WRONG I NEED SOME SOMETHING BIGGER AND BOLDER LIKE A VICTORIAN STYLE DRESS."
Rarity was shocked and said, "Did you just say Victorian style dress?"
"Yes. I always felt the mortals had really hit there peak at expressing royal elegance and superiority in that period and have always wanted a dress like that. Unfortunately those fools charge far to much yen for them and refuse to give me a royal discount," said Satania.
Rarity didn't hear much of what she said after yes because she started giggling and jumping on all four of her hooves in glee. "I have always wanted to design such a dress but I have never had a client who wanted one they always say "Rarity it is much to big" or "Rarity in is much to bold" well I say there is no such as thing and that if one wants to looks truly fabulous then they need to go as big and bold as possible!" said Rarity.
"EXACTLY! I mean seriously what is with some people thinking that a few sparkles is enough to convey power. I mean even the royal figures on Earth just wear a few jewels and normal clothes," said Satania.
"I know what you mean darling," said Rarity who then paused and glanced around to double check no pony was there before saying the next part, "between you and me and I always wished Celestia and Luna would wear a little more than just there crowns and royal hoof guards. I know Twilight is still uncomfortable being a princess and that's why she doesn't add anything but they've been princesses for over a thousand years. I mean seriously would it kill them to add some extra flourish something that says "here I am the royal of Equestria and I'm here to play the part.""
"Agreed. So then let's get to work I was thinking all black and red," said Satania.
"Um well I know I just said that there is no such thing as too big but that color combo is just to.... edgy. How about moonlight black and plum purple instead. It conveys the same level of authority while a the same time adding a level of darkness and mystery," said Rarity.
"Hmmm fine we can try that," said Satania.
They both began designing and fashioning fabric together into Satania's dress.
*8 hours later*
Applejack walked into Carousel Boutique, "Rarity. What in tar-nation is the hold up we agreed that Satania would come over to Sweet Apple acres to lend a hand at noon when the back roads are empty and nopony would see her and it's already twelve thirty. If yall don't leave soon you'll run into Filthy Rich's delivery crew bringing back the extra Zap Apple jam preservative we gave them. Now what in the hay is going on here." she immediately stopped talking when she looked over at Satania and saw her wearing a large, puffy, and sparkly, even by Rarity's standards, black and purple dress.
"Well what do think Applejack. This is my magnum opus, finally I have a client with tastes as grand as my own," said Rarity.
"Yes Apple pony. What do you think of the grand spectacle that is the great arch demon Satania in all her glory," said Satania.
"Umm well it umm... I was told I shouldn't voice my opinions on fashion anymore after the whole competition thing so I'll just see you whenever your ready," said Applejack as she smiled awkwardly and ran out of the boutique.
Rarity and Satania stud there stunned for a bit before Satania said, "Clearly she was just overwhelmed by my astounding beauty," Rarity considered explaining why Applejack really acted the way she did when Satania continued, "and the only reason my beauty is shining so bright is because of this dress so I guess you did a good job. As soon as I become demon queen I will be sure to appoint you as my royal seamstress."
Rarity know that Satania was just trying to compliment her in her own egotistical way and decided not to burst her bubble this time, "Yes that must be it and I am honored at your decision miss Satania," she then gave a mock bow as she was really enjoying her new friend's company and figured stroking her ego was a good way to return the favor. She then looked up and saw Satania had her smug look on her face once again. Rarity knew that Satania was about to launch into another tirade and while part of her regretted praising her she knew that overall she didn't mind it.
Author's Note
So now Satania and Rarity have bonded over a mutual love of the big and bold look. But can she bond with the much more sensible and humble Applejack? Find out next chapter. Again any constructive criticism is welcome and thank you for reading.
Chapter 5 An Apple Picking Demon
Applejack paced around the orchard waiting for Satania to show up. "Consarnit I knew I should have just dragged her here myself, the last thing we need is Filthy Rich's crew running into while her she's here," said Applejack. "She and Rarity already finished making her that showy over extravagant dress, at least I hope they did cause any more sparkles and she would run the risk of blinding somepony, so what in the hay is taking her so long," said Applejack but just as she said that she saw Satania's familiar red hair pop over the horizon, "Ah about time now what took you so long," she started to say before she got a full look at Satania and promptly got her question answered.
"Sorry for the delay Apple pony. I couldn't wear my new royal gown while working and after wearing that I refused to put my dull old school uniform on so we had to make a work outfit for me. What do you think?.. I know it does not quite capture my demonic beauty as well as the gown but I think it does pretty well."
Applejack stared for a minute taking this all in. Satania was wearing black pants, a black long sleeve shirt, and black boots all of which had purple accents much like her dress she wore earlier. Thankfully Rarity was sensible enough not to put sparkles on this, which makes sense as she probably wouldn't want apple juice getting on any of them and dulling there shine. Applejack thought for a moment about what she could say without offending her and said, "Um well it looks perfect for working as there aren't any extra layers to get in the way of your movement," she then had a nervous smile and hoped that Satania didn't ask any follow up questions about the colors or anything.
"Hmm well that was our idea," said Satania as she walked up to an apple tree and said, "So what measly little task are you going to waste my great demonic energy on now Apple pony."
Applejack took on somewhat of an annoyed look and said, "First of all my name's Applejack and secondly today we will harvesting apples for the pies and other goodies that will be served at Twilight's royal address to the town in a few days. That's when she plans on officially introducing you to the townsfolk so it would be best that we have plenty of snacks to keep everyone calm. There will be more stuff there as well but I'm sure Pinkie Pie well fill you in on all of that when you have your lesson with her. Anyway with Big Mac on a date with Sugar Belle, Granny Smith out with her seniors group, and Applebloom doing whatever she and her crusader friends have decided to do today I could use the help, plus this will be good to help build up your "demonic" strength so you can beat that Gabriel girl. "
"Very well then Applejack, if these apple treats will help the those ponies accept me as their new lord and master than I shall pick the best apples they have ever seen!" said Satania as she reached up to the tree and picked an apple out of it before sitting it in the basket next to it and picking another one.
Applejack thought about telling her that she couldn't exactly make the apples taste better just by picking them a different way but she decided to let it go and let her think whatever she wants as long as she works and said, "Well alrighty then I'll be over here picking some apples from these trees if you need anything." Applejack then made her way to her own tree and positioned herself to buck it when all of a sudden she heard a loud and long sigh that broke her concentration and made her fall down. She looked over at Satania and saw that she was sitting on the ground huffing and puffing like she had been working for hours.
"UHHHH THIS IS HARD HOW MANY OF THESE DUMB THINGS DO WE HAVE TO PICK!" she said before laying on ground and playing dead. Applejack walked up to her and internally screamed as she saw that Satania had only picked three apples and was acting like she had picked three hundred. "ISN'T THERE AN EASY WAY TO GET THIS DONE!" she said.
Applejack became annoyed once again but decided to calm herself before saying, "Well bipeds like you and Spike don't usually do it but me and family usually just buck the trees and the apples fall right into the baskets, though sometimes it takes two or three good kicks."
"Huh how do you do this bucking?" said Satania as she suddenly sat up confused and curious.
"Well it's simple all you do is stand in front of a tree like this and then kick the base of it with your back legs, or just legs in your case," said Applejack before getting in front of a tree and demonstrating for Satania. "Why don't you give it a try."
"Fine," she said before she got on all fours and positioned her legs in front of her tree "This isn't exactly the most regal stance but if it's easy for you pony creatures it should be easy for me too." She then kicked with both legs like Applejack did but unlike Applejack the tree barely shook and instead her legs began shaking in pain as she fell on the ground.
Applejack ran over to her concerned and saying, "Satania oh my gosh are you OK?" Satania laid there still for a few minutes before bolting upright and staring at the tree with a determined look on her face.
"How dare you, you stupid angel tree," she said before she transformed like she did earlier producing a black aura around her and horns formed on her head only this time since Twilight wasn't there to zap her the transformation continued with bat wings appearing on her back and a black pitchfork appearing in her hand. She reached the pitchfork back aiming it at the tree and said, "HOW DARE YOU HURT THE GREAT DEMON QUEEN SATANIA!" before she threw the pitchfork at the tree and hit it dead on. Applejack was just about to comment on all of this when some kind of black lightning came out of the pitchfork in-bedded in the tree and swirled around it knocking all of the apples into the ground before it moved to two of the trees around it knocking there apples to the ground before the lighting finally dissipated and everything appeared to be normal.
"Land-shakes, forget about bucking or picking just keep doing that and we'll be done in no time," said Applejack.
"Really?" said Satania before pausing and saying with her smug look, "Well of course we will now that I am actually applying my demonic energy to this simple task."
"Umm yeah let's just get to work," said Applejack as she held back her annoyance at this grandiose statement and they continued working.
Satania used her wings to fly from tree group to tree group and at each she produced a new pitch fork from her demonic aura and threw it causing all the apples to fall to the ground where Applejack quickly collected them.
*1 hour later*
"Sue Wee! I never seen an orchard get harvested this quickly. Looks like your demonic powers are already plenty strong," said Applejack who after spending some time working with her and seeing how great she did she decided to stroke her ego somewhat.
"OF COURSE IT IS AFTER ALL I AM THE GREAT ARCH DEMON SATANIA!" said Satania as she landed in front of Applejack before saying, "But I do feel as thew my demonic energy has increased at least somewhat so....thanks for the training session."
Applejack, somewhat stunned at seeing this genuine act of kindness come from her, decided to stroke her ego further and gave a mock bow saying, "It was my pleasure Miss Satania and anytime you would like to train some more I would be honored to have you pitch in again."
Applejack then looked up to see Satania was stifling a laugh and just as Applejack was kicking herself for being nice to her she said, "Yes I would be happy to "pitch" in," before holding one of her pitch forks and laughing herself silly.
Applejack then realized that she had accidentally made a pun and she decided to laugh as well, not because the pun was funny, as she actually found it terrible, but because it made Satania happy.
Author's Note
So one hard days work and a bad pun later Satania and Applejack have now bounded and become friends. Who will the Arch-Demon train with next and can she beat the odds and make friends with them as well? Find out next chapter. Any constructive criticism is see you next time (also sorry if this chapter does not flow as well as the others. I honestly was struggling with how she and Applejack would interact and I had some stuff come up and had to walk away from the chapter before coming back to it in a different head space then when I started so that didn't help either but I hope it's still enjoyable

Chapter 6 A Demon's True Name and Demonically Sweet Treats
Satania continued to laugh at the pun that had been made while Applejack's sympathy giggle became more and more forced as time went on. Just as she began wondering how long this would go on for Pinkie Pie seemed to pop up out of nowhere, startling them both, as she said, "SURPRISE! Who's ready to help me bake awesomely fun treats for the announcement party."
Satania and Applejack jumped away startled before Applejack said, "What the? Pinkie? How in tarnation did you get here?"
"Yes Pink Pony, how did you..." said Satania before she then paused and moved up to Pinkie excitedly saying, "Did you master teleportation? Can you teach me? Oh I would just love to lord it over Gabriel's head that I the Great Arch Demon Satania have mastered teleportation before her."
Pinkie Pie just looked over at Satania with a nervous smile as she said, "Um hate to break it to Satay, but I didn't teleport," she then gestured her hoof to a door that somehow opened up out of one the apple trees with a smile on her face as she said, "I just used my secret surprise party tunnels to get here. I always travel trough them, this way if I overhear some pony talking about being sad or something I can just slip back to Sugar Cube Corner, grab my supplies, and slip back there to through them a super fun Cheer Up party before they know it."
Applejack had a look of realization come to her face as she said, "That explains so much."
Meanwhile Satania looked confused as she said, "Wait party tunnels?" before a look of annoyance came to her face as she said, "Wait SATAY? HOW DARE YOU POKE FUN AT A FUTURE DEMON QUEENS NAME!"
Pinkie then raised her hooves defensively as she said, "Oh no no no. I wasn't trying to make fun of your name. I just thought it would be nice to give a nickname since you decided to call me Pink Pony, I mean it is a little weird that you gave me the same nickname as Prince Rutherford even though you haven't met him, but it's still a nice nickname."
"Oh that..." said Satania somewhat embarrassed.
"Actually Pinkie she just called you that because-," started Applejack before Satania put her hand in front of Applejack's mouth to interrupt her.
Satania then had her smug smile return as she said, "Because I knew you would like such a nickname thanks to my great demonic intuition. But you don't need to give me a nickname since Satania already is one."
"It is?" said Pinkie and Applejack in simultaneous confusion.
Satania then gestured to herself as she said, "Why yes of course. All my familiars call me that as they have not earned the right to utter my true name... but since you ponies have proven to be such great and useful servants you have earned the right to hear it," she then took on her normal hand in front eye trying to look cool pose as she said, "Listen well ponies for my name, the name of true evil, the name of the future demon queen and queen of this world is Kurumizawa Satanichia McDowell."
Satania stood there waiting for a reaction and thankfully for Applejack, who couldn't really come up with one, Pinkie Pie burst forward saying, "OK. That is the best name ever! And I thought Fizzle Pop Berry Twist was a cool name but I've never even heard of a name like Kurumizawa Satanichia McDowell. But now the question is do you want to keep calling you Satania, or should I call you Satanichia, or should I come up with a new nickname like Kuruma or McD or-" she was soon interrupted though as Satania placed her hand over her mouth.
Satania then said, "Yeah, just calling me Satania is still fine. Now then Pink Pony why are you here again?"
Pinkie then had a light bulb go off over her head as she said, "Oh right. I almost forgot. I'm here to pick you and the apples up to go to Sugarcube Corner so we can bake treats together using them. That's why I told you about the super secret party tunnels because that's how we are going to get there without anypony seeing you, but be sure not to tell anypony else about them because," she then glanced back and forth before leaning in Satania's ear and whispering, "The're a secret."
Satania just looked at her befuddled at that as she said, "Um yeah, sure."
Pinkie then smiled as she said, "Great! Now just follow me and we'll be there in no time," before skipping back to the tree door and hopping through it.
Satania had a confused smile as she said, "Um well I guess I'll see you later Applejack," before she waved bye to her and then tentatively walked into the tree door before it closed behind her.
Applejack then walked up to the tree and tapped with her hoof only to see that it was again behaving just like a normal wooden tree before she just said, "How in the hay?" as confusion overtook her.
Satania followed behind Pinkie Pie in the darkness of the tunnels before saying, "Um how much further is it Pink Pony."
Instead of answering her Pinkie just stopped walking and grabbed onto a door next to her before she opened and said, "Oh don't worry. We're already here."
Satania was tempted to ask her how it was exactly they were here already if they only took a few steps, but decided not to as even though she hadn't known her for long, she was starting to get the feeling that asking Pinkie questions wasn't the best idea if she wanted to keep her sanity. So instead she simply followed her through the door into the brightly colored kitchen, in which Pinkie Pie said, "OK so what do you want to make, I mean of course we are going to make apple pies and fritters and stuff since we got all these apples but we can start with something else if you want."
Satania then perked up as she said, "Ohhh can we make Melon Bread?"
"I'm sorry but I don't have any melons... we can make banana bread if you want though," said Pinkie Pie.
Satania then said, "Oh no it's not actually made of melons, it just looks like a melon. Hang on," she then paused as she reached into her pocket before she looked around and said, "You wouldn't happen to have a dog would you."
"No just a pet alligator named Gummy but you probably won't see him. He's a little shy around new people," said Pinkie.
"OK then, well feast your eyes and your taste buds on this then," said Satania as she pulled out a prepackaged melon bread from her pocket before opening it as she said, "I always carry one with me just in case I get hungry."
She then ripped a small piece of it off and handed it Pinkie as she began eating the bigger piece. Pinkie took one bite and it looked as though fireworks went off in her eyes before a smile burst onto face as she said, "OH MY CUPCAKES THIS IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER TASTED!"
Satania then looked at her with matched excitement as she said, "I know right? That's why I always carry one with me... which we just ate and I can't exactly go to my local convenience store to get a new one soooo." She then had a look of crushing realization come to her face as she realized what she just did.
Pinkie however looked undeterred as she said, "Oh don't worry, because unless my tasters off," she then gestured at her tongue before saying, "I now know exactly what ingredients and how much we need to make more."
"Really?!" said Satania with new excitement.
"Yuparooni... in fact hung on," said Pinkie Pie before she grabbed a pencil and paper from her hair and scribbled down the ingredients saying, "This is everything we should need, could you walk into the pantry over there and get them while I get all the bowls and ovens ready?"
Satania said, "Of course Pink Pony," before she turned away and her excitement overtook her as she whispered, "I can't believe I am going to learn to make my own melon bread, best day ever."
Pinkie smiled at this as she saw the door to the pantry close. Just then Rainbow Dash burst through the window as she said, "Oh Pinkie, is Satania here?"
Pinkie smiled and said, "Yup, she's just in the other room getting supplies so we can make this AWESOME pastry from Earth called melon bread."
Rainbow then slyly smiled as she said, "Good cause I got an idea that will help teach her about pranks and spice up this little cooking session all at the same time."

So I bet your wondering why I suddenly posted a new chapter in this. Well simply put it is because of you all. I love this story and wanted to come back to it but since I have much more popular stories it had to take a back seat for awhile but I suddenly started getting notifications that more people were reading this and that was enough of an excuse for me to start writing again. I don't know how often I will be able to post chapters in this but I promise you all that I will not let this story die. Chapter 7 Firey Demon Bread
Satania excitedly grabbed all the ingredients from Pinkie's list, unaware of the conversation now taking place in the next room.
"OK so here's my plan. I'm gonna help you two make these Melon Bread things," said Rainbow Dash.
"Well that's nice of you Dashie, but how is it gonna teach Satania anything about pranking?" asked a confused Pinkie Pie.
Dash simply smiled at this as she used her wing to open her saddle bag and pulled out a bottle as she said, "This is a rare and extremely potent hot sauce that I had Starlight pick up for me as a souvenir from Saddle Arabia after her and Trixie's show."
Pinkie then grinned as she caught on to where Rainbow Dash was going as she said, "OHHH! You're gonna put some of that in Satania's Melon Bread?"
"Yup," said Rainbow Dash proudly
Pinkie grinned at her for a little longer before a look of concern overtook her face as she said, "Hold on though, these are like her all time favorite treat. I don't think we should mess with it like this."
Rainbow looked annoyed as she said, "AH MAN! SERIOUSLY!"
Pinkie Pie responded by giving her a serious look and saying, "You wouldn't want us pulling another zombie prank on you to teach you a lesson, would you?"
Rainbow groaned and said, "Fine. How about this, we make the treats normally and after it's all done I hand her the bottle saying it's some kind of special flavoring sauce, she puts a little on hers, gets burned, but then she still has all the others to enjoy."
Pinkie's grin returned as she said, "That sounds good."
Before they could exchange any more banter about this Satania returned carrying all the necessary supplies as she said, "Now then Pink Pony, let us make some amazing Melon Bread worthy of my demonic pallet." She then sat the ingredients down before noticing Rainbow Dash and saying, "Oh, hello Rainbow Pony. What brings you here?"
Rainbow held back a laugh as she said, "Rainbow Dash, and I was in the area and figured I'd help you two with the baking."
Pinkie Pie, making no effort to hold it back, giggled as she said, "Yup, Dash here sure loves baking with me."
Satania didn't think anything of this as she said, "Well that's fine. Hopefully we can get the Melon Bread done faster then."
They all began mixing the ingredients together into a bowl following Pinkie's instructions.
"OK so next you mold the dough into a cylinder and place in the fridge," said Pinkie.
"Wait, the fridge?" said Rainbow Dash
"Cylinder? Melon Bread doesn't look like a cylinder," said Satania.
"No, but we gotta make the cookie dough a nice cold cylinder so we can wrap it around the bread rolls later," said Pinkie Pie with a smile.
Satania just looked confused as she said, "Wait, I kind of understand how you could learn the ingredients for stuff by tasting them, but how do you know all this stuff about preparing it?"
Pinkie shrugged as she said, "What can I say, it's a gift."
Satania looked at Rainbow Dash for a better answer but she simply shrugged too and said, "That's Pinkie for ya, but she's usually right about this kind of stuff so I'd listen."
"Fine Pink pony, but if you ruin a treat as amazing as Melon Bread, then you shall feel my full demonic wrath," said Satania as her eyes filled with rage.
Pinkie simply smiled, as she of all people knew how serious baked goods could be, and said, "Duly noted."
They all then got to work as they began making several dough balls, which they placed on a tray for abit before taking the cookie cylinder out of the fridge and divided it into several sheets. They than began to wrap these sheets around the bread balls as Satania got excited saying, "Hey, It's starting to look like Melon Bread now."
Pinkie Pie smiled at this as Rainbow Dash said, "I told you to trust Pinkie."
They then placed the finished products in the oven before Pinkie said, "OK. It should just a few minutes before they are ready."
Satania looked a little giddy as she said, "Oh boy oh boy! I can't believe I made my own Melon Bread, now I don't need to worry about that dog or anyone stealing it from me because I can just make more." She then looked at Pinkie before saying, "And I never could have done it without you. Thank you Pinkie Pie for expanding my already great well of demonic knowledge into new areas."
Pinkie felt good at hearing this sincere words and returned them by giving a mock bow and saying, "Thank you Kurumizawa Satanichia McDowell. I am honored to have made treats for a future queen."
At this Rainbow looked confused as she said, "Kurumiza-what now?"
"Oh that's just Satania's real name. I figured I should use her real name instead of her nickname since she used mine instead of her nickname for me." Pinkie then looked concerned as she turned to Satania and said, "Oh darn, I shouldn't have said that in front of Rainbow since people need to earn the right to know your real name just like me and Applejack did."
Satania smugly smiled as she said, "Do not fret Pink Pony, as while yes Rainbow Dash has yet to do much for me, if she is as useful as you and your friends have been thus far I'm sure she will earn it in time too."
Rainbow became somewhat annoyed that she apparently wasn't "worthy" enough to use Satania's real name, but at that moment the oven timer went off and her annoyance turned to a desire for revenge as she said, "Hey Satania, I think I got something that will make this Melon Bread even better."
"Really!" said Satania excitedly as Pinkie pulled the Melon Bread out of the oven before placing them on a cooling sheet.
Rainbow then pulled the hot sauce out of her saddle bag again before giving it to Satania and saying, "Yeah, this is a special desert topping that can bring out hidden flavors in anything."
Satania grabbed a Melon Bread and for a moment her excitement melted to skepticism as she said, "I don't know. Melon Bread is already good enough without bringing out any other flavors."
Rainbow smugly smiled as she said, "Trust me, it well defiantly give this stuff an extra kick." She then let out a little giggle.
Satania didn't notice that though as she said, "If you say so," before pouring some of the hot sauce on her Melon Bread and taking a bite.
Rainbow and Pinkie looked at her expectantly as she began chewing and then swallowed, but to their surprise a huge smile overtook her face as she said, "THIS IS AMAZING!" She then poured some on the Melon Bread in front of Rainbow Dash as she said, "HERE RAINBOW, YOU MUST EAT THIS AMAZING COMBO YOU SHOWED ME!"
Rainbow smiled nervously as Satania poured more and more hot sauce on it before whispering to Pinkie Pie saying, "Why didn't that work."
Pinkie whispered back to her saying, "Well either she is partially taste deaf like me and can eat spicy foods no problem or that Saddle Arabian hot sauce isn't as powerful as ponies say it is."
Rainbow then gulped, hoping for the latter, as she took a bite of her Melon Bread not wanting Satania to know anything had happened. Unfortunately it soon became apparent that it was the former as steam came out of her ears and she burst back out the window looking for a large source of water.
Pinkie Pie giggled at how much Rainbow's plan had backfired on her as Satania confusedly said, "What was that about?"
Pinkie said, "Oh, I guess Rainbow just had somewhere to be," before her glance turned away from the erratically flying Rainbow Dash to the now darkening sky as she said, "Oh cupcakes, speaking of places to be it's getting dark out and I should probably take you back to Twilight's castle while anypony working day jobs is getting home and before anypony working night jobs goes out."
"OK then Pink Pony," said Satania before she glanced back at the table and said, "Can I take some of the Melon Bread with me?"
Pinkie smiled as she said, "Take as much as you want, I made them for you silly." Satania then grabbed acouple and put them in a nearby bag before they headed out the door and Pinkie added, "Just be sure not to add that special sauce if you share them with Twilight or Spike, let's just say they may not appreciate it as much as you do."
Satania simple laughed at this as she said, "Why of course they wouldn't. FOR NO ONE CAN TRULY APPRECIATE THE GLORY OF MELON BREAD LIKE THE GREAT ARCH DEMON SATANIA DAH HA HA!"
Pinkie simply smiled and joined in on her, admittedly over the top, laughter as they walked.

So Pinkie and Satania have now bounded and Rainbow got her just deserts for trying to prank a new friend (get it because it was hot sauce on a desert and ah.... Chapter 1 A Demon in a Ponies World
Twilight sat with her friends as she munched on a daffodil and daisy sandwich and looked around. Pinkie Pie was laughing away over some joke somepony said awhile ago, she honestly could not remember who said it that's how long it's been. Rarity and Fluttershy where discussing how to get the new outfit Rarity had made for Opal on her without her getting mad, good look with that she didn't even think The Stair would be able to calm Opal down enough for that. Finally Rainbow Dash and Applejack where engaged in a "who can eat more of Pinkie Pie's quadruple sugar cupcakes without getting sick contest" and for the shake of Rarity's freshly embroidered picnic blanket she hoped it ended in a tie without ether of them getting sick. Twilight just took all of this in and smiled as she had not been able to just sit and enjoy the company of her friends in so long. It felt like every time she tried to hang out with them lately some Princess duties would come up, or the map would call one of them on an adventure, or there was some kind of terrifying villain from a thousand years ago, as apparently that was a good year for evil, who has suddenly returned to take over Equestria. Twilight was just about to say all of this to her friends, in her one of her typical Magic of Friendship lectures which even she thought were getting old, when all of a sudden she and everypony else where blinded by a flash of light in the middle of there picnic blanket.
"DUH HUH HUH AT LONG LAST THE GREAT ARCH DEMON SATANIA HAS USED HER NEWLY ACQUIRED PORTAL SPELL TO INFILTRATE HEAVEN WHERE SHE SHALL SHOW UP THAT PATHETIC GABRIEL ONCE AND FAR! DUH HUH HUH!"
Twilight just stared at the creature, apparently named Satania, who was now standing on there picnic blanket with her eyes closed while she laughing smugly. She appeared to a human, like her friends from Canterlot High and she even wore a uniform with a brown jacket and red and black skirt that reminded her of her human world counterpart. She had red hair with two circular pig tails that seemed to defy logic with how the stayed on her head in that shape. It was at this moment that Satania finally opened her eyes and looked around.
"HUH HUH HUH Heee.... this doesn't look like the pictures of heaven I've seen before." She then pulled what appeared to be a playing card from her pocket and started yelling at it, "STUPID DEMON SHOPPING NETWORK I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT A TRANSPORT SPELL TO ENTER HEAVEN WOULD COST MORE THEN 3000 Yen."
While everyone else struggled to make sense of what was going on Pinkie Pie burst from the group and stopped right in front Satania with a look of pure excitement on her face.
"OOOOOH! I've never a creature like before you said you where an Arch Demon, whatever that is, right? I've never met an Arch Demon before. Hi my names Pinkie Pie," she then grabbed Satania's hand with here hoof and started vigorously shaking it, "Welcome to Ponyville and judging by that bang zoom flash of light you arrived in I'm guessing your from another world so Welcome to Equestria too. I wish I could give you a proper welcome but I accidentally brook my welcome wagon when I did a marathon of welcome parties for each of the reformed changelings that are our now friends. Twilight said I didn't have to give them all a welcome but I figured it was only 468 changelings to welcome in one day so I might as well. Unfortunately my wagon didn't agree and gave out around 286....what was I saying? OH YEAH Welcome to Equestria." She then pulled her party cannon out of nowhere and sprinkled confetti all over Satania.
Satania stood there with a look of pure confusion on her face, a typical reaction to meeting Pinkie Pie for the first time, before regaining her composure and having her smug look return to her face. "DUH HUH HUH. Foolish horse creature you do not realise who you are dealing with. I am the great Arch Demon and future Demon Queen Satania and soon you and all of your little horse friends will bow to me as your new lord and master. DUH HUH HUH."
"Pffth sound like we got another Trixie on her hands. I mean seriously what is with someponies getting such a big ego," said Rainbow Dash.
"Your one to talk Rainbow always strutting your stuff about being the best flyer around," said Applejack.
"Yeah but that's different because......It's true!" said Rainbow looking a little embarrassed.
"I just don't know how someone can call themselves a queen when there wearing such a horrid outfit. I mean seriously moonlight black and chestnut brown with crimson accents those are much to similar colors to be together like that," said Rarity.
"Um excuse me Miss Satania are you sure just don't need a nice peace of lettuce or something, I know my bunny angel always starts saying similar things whenever he's hungry," said Fluttershy.
"Actually I am kind of hungry do you happen to have any onion noodles with you?" She paused for a minute before a look of realization came to her face "WAIT A MINUTE YOU CAN NOT DISTRACT AN ARCH DEMON THAT EASILY! HOW DARE YOU ALL NOT TAKE MY THREATS SO SERIOUSLY I AM ALL POWERFUL AND ALL EVIL ACROSS ALL WORLDS EXISTS ONLY TO SERVE ME! PERHAPS YOU NEED A DEMONSTRATION OF MY AWESOME POWER!" Satania said before a black aura formed around her and horns appeared on her head.
Twilight lurched back as Satania's new form instantly reminded her of Tirek and she was not about to let a repeat of the library incident happen now. She instantly teleported into the air, charged, and fired her horn at Satania expecting her to use her power to put up a barrier spell just like Tirek did. Instead the spell hit Satania dead on and she did a somersault straight into a tree before plopping on the ground flat on her stomach. Twilight ran up to her expecting this to be some kind of trick and ready to continue the fight only to see that Satania was now standing on her knees and crying.
"Waa waa. WHY IS IT THAT EVERYONE IN EVERY WORLD IS STRONGER THAN ME! FIRST THAT DETESTABLE ANGEL GABRIEL AND NOW THESE COLORFUL HORSE THINGS TO. Waa waa." Satania said tears running down her face and fists in the air.
Twilight mentally grunted as she glanced at her friends and saw that they were feeling the same mix of sadness and pity she was and know what this meant. She walked up to Satania put here hoof on her shoulder and smiled saying, "Look I am sorry I blasted you and while I do not yet understand all the details of what you're saying it looks like you could use our help."
"Really you would help me?" she said with tears still on her face.
"Yes," said Twilight, though she was instantly regretted saying that as Satania sprung upright, put her hands on hips, and had her now trademark smug look returned to her.
"Of course you want to help me. After all it would be best to gain the favor of your future queen now come tiny horse creatures, to hear the tale of the great Satania and her rival the detestable angel Gabriel." Satania said any trace of tears now gone from her face.
Twilight simply shied as her day was shaping up to be far less relaxing then she had hoped it would be.
