//-------------------------------------------------------// Imaginary -by Gogetpaulie- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Two Millennia Earlier //-------------------------------------------------------// Two Millennia Earlier Again, the clash of swords echoed throughout the forest clearing. The combat of the three god creatures punctuated by shrill blasts of weaponry marking the fighting of the grunt soldiers surrounding them. Whilst it may have been two against one, the bipedal creature was far stronger and more proficient with his weapon than the two ponies. The human's greatsword was magnificent to behold, a glowing blue blade spouting lightning atop a golden handle with a flawless ruby on it's pommel. But the weapon itself was nothing when compared to the skill with which it's wielder used it, the strokes were fast yet soft and flowed like water. Yet, as battle dragged on, the human seemed to slow, his movements became more clunky and powered by momentum more than anything else. But he was still able to beat back the sisters, the two gradually having their guards whittled down by the relentless heavy strikes. Finally, the younger of the two, Luna, collapses to the ground, a grave wound crossing her chest. Her older sister cries out to her, but is quickly forced back on the defence. With the human being seemingly revitalised by Luna's faltering, he swung out thrive in quick succession, Celestia's guard breaking underneath the sword. She was thrown backwards, collapsing heavily onto the ground, the human standing but metres from her began to speak: "Do you not see Celestia? You are defeated! I, Gideon, am master of Equestria," he howled in victory, his voice warped by unseen dark forces. As he strode towards her, sword prepared to land the killing blow, a shout of defiance erupted from the forest. A single golden armoured Royal Guard charged the human Gideon, spear raised. With a malicious laugh, Gideon sliced the pony in twain with his sword, barely a glance given to the pony which lay perfectly halved next to him. As Gideon raised his sword to slide off Celestia's head, she launched all that remained of her magic power at him. He dropped his sword to guard position, as if having expected her to try such a thing. "You think you can defeat me?" He sneered, "you were but a filly when I found you; you will be dust when I'm through with you!" He slowly began advancing. "No!" A magically enhanced voice echoed behind him, before the resucitated Luna launched a similar bolt into his back. As the bolts struck him, his sword fell, implanting into the ground. His body spasmed as he bellowed: "NO! I WILL NOT BE DENIED!" With a final scream of anger and agony, he fell backwards to the ground. Body now stone and face forever contorted in a murderous snarl. Author's Note So. Here it is. The mutated love child of my imagination and My Little Pony. My question is, does we allow this to live and continue. Or do I simply put a bolt shell through it's head and bury it out back. //-------------------------------------------------------// Gods and Cowponies //-------------------------------------------------------// Gods and Cowponies I awoke. Usually something like that wouldn't be too profound, after all sleeping and waking up are just a normal part of everyday life. Not for me. This is the first time I've woken up in two thousand years. My breath came out in choked gasps, somewhat between a laugh and a sob. My jaw quivered and eyelids fluttered. My skin felt as though it was being burned by the grass, such was a symptom of being trapped in stone for millennia. I pushed through the pain and attempted as best as possible to push myself to my feet. My gauntleted hands felt as though they were being bitten all over, but after several minutes of agonising pain, I was on my feet and ready. My skin had now readjusted, and I was no longer almost collapsed in pain, instead I was back l my powerful self. Black steel armour covering my body with a crimson red cloak over my shoulders. A thin breeze blew through the edge of the forest. My long, jet black hair blew magnificently in the wind, cloak doing the same. I struck a pose for no one in particular, before doubling over as the full force of two millennia old hunger hit me. I barely pulled myself to my feet before stumbling forwards in search of food. Through my delirium I was able to catch a glimpse of trees adorned with red splotches. I hoped for my sake that they were what I thought they were; which to my satisfaction they were... Apples! And what Apples they were, the perfect balance of sweet and sour, juicy and the perfect way to sate my hunger. I greedily wolfed it down before grabbing three more and gorging myself on the exquisite fruits. It sat back in the shade of the tree, content with my surroundings. That was until a heavily accented voice shouted at me: "Hey! Wha'dya think yer doin'?" An orange pony with blonde hair and a Stetson hat on her head was standing over me, her face showing no attempt to hide her anger. "I'm sorry Miss. Are these apples yours?" "Yeah." "My deepest apologies Miss. I was starving just beyond the forest edge. I chanced upon these trees. I had no idea they were yours." The pony seemed to accept my apology, albeit reluctantly, "A'right. You can have mah apples. But ah'm gonna take you inta town. What were a creature like you don't in the Everfree anyways?" I rose and bore the pony to lead on, whilst I began my story... "Cast your mind back. To a time long ago, it is the 3rd Millennium. And war had come to Equestria." The pony, now identified as Applejack had remained in awe throughout the entire journey. Sometimes even backing away from me before I mentioned my desire to recompense for my deeds. She was surprisingly accepting given the circumstances, even openly weeping at one point. What confused me was the fact she didn't recognise my name, I should have been infamous throughout Equestria and vast pony armies should have been bearing down on me the second I woke up. Yet I had been forgotten. Or covered up. What also confused me was Applejack's lack of aversion to my form, if I had been truly forgotten surely she would have asked me what I was first? But now was not the time for rhetorical questions, for we had arrived at the town Applejack had referred to as Ponyville, it appeared as a rural market village. What few ponies were around stared in disbelief as I strode past, now that was the reaction I had been expecting from Applejack. At the centre of the town stood a crystal tree. The prismatic structure glowed various shades of blue and purple, it was a marvellous sight, I even stopped and stood in awe and a childish smile crept across my face. Applejack seemed to notice my halt, and she turned and answered the question I had yet to ask: "Oh. Tha's Princess Twilight's castle. She's a friend o' mine." "Wait! Did you say PRINCESS Twilight?" I placed extra emphasis on the Princess. There were more Alicorns! "Oh my Gosh!" "Look out!" "There's a monster outside!" Well this could have gone better than expected.
