Fluttershy’s Home For Pokemon
The Time When Lillie Found Herself on All Fours
As the day went on, Fluttershy finally saw a vast improvement in her little project. What had started off as a roughly built hut had transformed into a beautiful little house thanks to the effort of her friends and herself. Ashimare and Mimi watched from a distance along with two other Pokémon. The first was a small yellow rat-like Pokémon with red cheeks and a lightning bolt-shaped tail called Pikachu. The other was a brown fox with the fluffiest mane anypony had ever seen, making Rarity rather envious of it for some reason. It called itself Eevee.
Fluttershy took a deep breath as she took in the work she and her friends had managed to accomplish. “You know, I thought that it would’ve taken me the rest of the week to get this done, or probably even longer if things kept happening. You know, I really couldn’t have done this without the help of everyone here.”
“Ya don’t have to thank us, Flutters, it’s just was we do,” Applejack replied modestly, a smile on her face. There wasn’t a single pony, Pokémon, or animal who wasn’t smiling at that moment, save for Angel bunny. “Of course, only the inside is completely finished. We still need the outside painted and all that stuff.”
Applejack looked at the dress maker with curiosity. “Since when did you get into architecture. Seemed like it would be to dirty for a pony like you.”
“Oh nonsense,” Rarity said with a dismissive wave. She looked to Fluttershy as she finished speaking. “So, are we gonna open the doors or are your new friends gonna just sit out here and marvel at the place.”
Fluttershy knew that it was time, but some part of her just wanted to stand there and look onward for a while. She only stopped staring into space after hearing Ashimari bark at her, and her mind was brought back to reality. She turned back to the four Pokémon who waited anxiously to see what had kept their caretaker so busy that last few hours. Fluttershy smiled at them all before approaching the front door to the house.
“Well then, guess it really is time,” She said as she opened up the door, watching the ever growing excitement on the Pokémon’s faces. “Come inside everyone.”
From a distance, Rarity, Rainbow, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie watched from a distance as the pokemon rushed through the doors. Shouting their names or barking cheerfully as they did. Applejack looked the most content out of all of them, as the Pokémon’s behavior reminded her of how she and Bic Mac use to play when they were young. Rainbow took notice of this and nudged her friend, a smug smile on her face.
“You know, none of us would judge you if you wanted to play with them,” She said. “Nothing from with feeling like a foal again.”
“Ah never said anything was wrong with it,” Applejack replied, still slight stuck in a daydream. “Ya know that feeling grandparents have when they look at their grandchildren? The way that Fluttershy acts to all these animals, it reminds me of how Granny Smith was before she busted her hip. Ah just hope that pony remembers her limits.”
“After the breezies, I don’t think we’ll have to worry about that,” Rarity reassured her. “Fluttershy more than knows her limits, like any caretaker should.”
“Oh, ah, what is… eek!” Everypony outside looked at Pinkie Pie, who seemed to be having the most painful Pinkie sense in her life. Her tail was the only normal thing going on, indicating that something was going to fall, but the rest of her body seemed to be cramping and twisting like she had no bones at all. “Something… big is coming!”
“Pinkie darling, are you alright?” Rarity asked in concern as the party planner’s body finally rested. “That might have been the most painful and horrific thing I’ve ever seen the Pinkie sense do to you. In fact, I don’t think any of us have seen you act in this way before.”
“That’s because the only time it happened is when we met Discord, though nopony actually saw it happen for some reason!” Pinkie explained, seeing the look of terror. “If it’s what I think it means, I believe we are about to meet some super duper mega ultra-powerful god-like being! Oh, and they are probably going to be falling from the sky in 3… 2… 1… and- ”
“Hey girls!” Twilight suddenly reappeared in the middle of everypony, not accounting for their individual space in any way. “Sorry that took so long, I just needed to do some things before I came back. I made some rough sketches of Ashimari and Mimikyu contacted Princess Celestia. Turns out these Pokémon have been popping up all over Equestria, and she is… um, why is the sky convulsing?”
Looking in Twilight’s direction, everypony saw exactly what it was that had caught Twilight’s attention. In the sky, somewhere over the Everfree, a giant hole had appeared from out of nowhere. It seemed to bend reality itself, the words ‘physically impossible’ having already reached Twilight’s mouth by the time everypony saw something come out of the wormhole. It was rather far away, but they could make out what looked like an extremely large blue bat dive bombing at the Everfree. Fluttershy had noticed this inside the newly built tiny house and came outside.
“Fluttershy, ya don’t think that was-” Before Applejack could answer Fluttershy had taken off in a sprint. “Well, I guess that answers that question.”
“That Pokémon looked a lot bigger than any of the ones Fluttershy has,” Pinkie commented before letting out a long gasp. “That must have been the godly being that I my Pinkie senses were talking about! We might be meeting an actual god!”
“In that case, we need to do what Fluttershy has already done,” Twilight said, taking a few steps in front of her friends. “Get to their location and welcome them to Equestria. Hopefully they aren’t wrathful or anything like that.”
—- Meanwhile, in the Everfree Forest —-
“Owie,” Nebby said as she rubbed her head with her left wing. “Mommy, my head hurts from all those trees.”
“Y-yeah, probably shouldn’t have opened it up so close to the ground,” Lillie said in a muffled tone, trapped under the weight of the Lunala above her. “Ugh, my body feels weird.”
Nebby looked around, trying to find where Lillie had landed, not feeling the small lump trapped under her right wing. Everything looked so much different from Alola, and it even sounded very different too. Nebby knew that she had found the right dimension, but she didn’t hear the sounds of Pokémon running through the woods. No Fomantis, Sudowoodo, Houndoom, or anything of the like could be heard around her. Arceus was right about this world. Before now, no Pokémon must have lived here.
“Mommy? Where are you?” Nebby called out, feeling rather scared and forgetting how much more powerful she was than most living creatures. “Are you okay?”
“I’m under your wing Nebby, now could you give me at least a little breathing room?” Lillie requested, still finding it impossible to move. She had noticed the moment she exited the portal that something weird had happened to her body, but she knew that she was nowhere near as strong as she once was.
At the request of Lillie, Nebby got off her back and looked to her mommy. However, it was at that moment she realized exactly why Lillie had been feeling so weird in the first place. Instead of a human with a red backpack and white shirt, Nebby found a small white fox with fur as clear as the snow on Mount Lanakila. She instantly recognized as an Alolan Vulpix, the pre-evolution of Alolan Ninetail similar to the one the Luno kept on reserve in case her Aurorus, Fos, needed a rest. That didn’t keep her from realizing who the Vulpix was, though. It could only be one person.
“Mommy, why are you a…” Nebby stopped, the answer coming to her before she even finished. “Mew. ”
“Why am I a what Nebby?” Lillie asked, looking up at the legendary in front of her, noticing the increased size difference. “I knew you were tall but why are… you… oh.”
Lillie had attempted to move her hand and point at the Moon Pokémon, but instead of a hand a snow white paw had appeared in her vision. Confused, she tried moving her hand, this time from side to side, and saw the paw mimic what she had attempted to do. Lillie quickly realized that the paw was suppose to be her hand, and though she didn’t want to looked down in front of her. What she saw was both what she had expected and feared: her body looked exactly like that of an Alolan Vulpix.
“What?!” She screamed, attempting to stand on her hind paws and promptly falling backwards. Her tail moved out of the way as not to be crushed, giving Lillie a good view of it. “No. This isn’t happening. This can not be happening. I… I looked like a Vulpix.”
“Oh, that must have been what Arceus meant by ‘help’,” Nebby quickly realized, watching innocently as the former human attempted to stand on her hind paws again. “Well, I don’t like the idea, but a Vulpix does seem to suit you mommy.”
“That isn’t helping Nebby?!” Lillie exclaimed, rolling back on to her stomach.
Realizing that her two-legged strategy wasn’t going to work, she decided to see how she managed in a quadruped stance. The moment she stood up, all four paws on the ground below her, she felt at ease. She attempted to walk around, and was shocked out how easy it was. In fact, she couldn’t but feel it was too easy, as if she had always been like this.
“Nebby, I don’t care what Arceus was doing, but you better tell vul to tupix me vulpix vul vul…” Lillie stopped as she felt he human voice seem to drain away, replaced by the familiar cries of the species she now found herself as. “Vulpix… v-v-vul?”
“Aw, don’t worry mommy, I still understand you,” Nebby said as she proceeded to pick up the alolan Vulpix in her wings. She patted Lillie on the head in an attempt to make her feel better. It didn’t help that much. “Don’t worry, we’ll still send Luno letters through the ultra wormhole, and if any of the other legendaries visit I’ll tell them to give you your voice back.”
“Vul ,” Lillie responded, looking at her current body. “Vulpix?”
“Don’t worry, I saw a place nearby the forest as we were falling down,” Nebby told the Vulpix as she set them back on the ground. “I think that might be-”
The Lunala was cut off at the sound of a scream not far away, Lillie’s new ears shifting in the direction it came from. Without a single spoken word, Nebby picked up Lillie and placed her on the her back before gliding through the trees. Lillie barely had enough time to grab the Moon Pokémon’s wing before the wind hit her fur, quickly realizing that the cold wasn’t affecting her at all. Nebby effortlessly dodge the trees, having had plenty of time to practice flying during her and Luno’s many trips to visit Ultra Space.
“Get back ya monster!” Nebby took a sudden stop as she heard the southern accent, looking into a clearing and watching as six ponyta-like creatures did their best to battle something. She noticed one of them, a yellow pony with wings, was standing further back than the rest. “Ya leave my friend alone, you hear me?”
“Grrrr,” Nebby looked slightly to the right, recognizing the figure they were battling as Salamence.
“Vulpix vul,” Lillie whispered to Nebby, hoping that the legendary really could still understand her. “Vulpix pix vul.”
“Yeah, they won’t last long against something like that,” Nebby said as she lowered a wing to the ground, letting Lillie off her back. “Stay here. I’m don’t want you getting hurt.”
—- From the view of the Main Six —-
“Twilight, you’ve already tried blasting multiple times, it’s not gonna work!” Rainbow said as the Princess of Friendship fired another beam at it. The beast in front of them, a large dragon creature with red, bat-shaped wings and a white and blue body, shrugged it off like it had all the others she had. “Twilight! If neither Applejack or I can even move it, what makes you think wasting your magic is going to do?”
“We… gotta try… something,” Twilight reminded her, mentally and physically exhausted from trying to fend of the creature. “It tried to harm Fluttershy, and it would most likely try attacking Ponyville if we don’t do anything!”
No matter how many times she said that, or how true it obviously was, she knew Rainbow Dash was right. Fluttershy could calm this beast, Applejack and Rainbow were nowhere near strong enough to do any harm against it, and Rarity and Twilight’s attempt to use magic against all ended in naught. The Princess of Friendship knew this was one of those Pokémon creatures, but she had no idea what to react to everything that was becoming clear to her. The beast was like an immovable wall, one that was now charging straight toward her and speed seemingly impossible for something that heavy.
“Charge!”
Then, only moments from laying it’s teeth on Twilight, it was swatted away by something else. Everypony looked up to the creature that had saved her, and was left in awe at what they saw. It was a gigantic bat, body seeming to bare the cosmos within it and wings the size of it’s entire body, easily being as tall as all four princesses combined. They were adorned with a golden substance lining their ends, stars of the same material hanging from the bottom of the wings and making up the lower section of it’s main body. It’s face was like a hologram, red eyes and a white mouth seemingly floating on the starry sky that painted it’s head. It looked at them with a smile, Twilight unable to notice the built in crown that seemed to form on it’s head.
“Don’t worry, I’ll try and get the message across to mister nasty over there,” It spoke in clean equish, catching everypony off guard. “You all just sit tight.”
The giant bat seemed to levitated over the massive pile of trees that now layed on the ground, the beast they had been fighting laying in the center of it all. Twilight could feel something about the creature - the one that had just saved them - and focused on the magic surrounding her to get a better idea of what was happening. As she centered her attention around the bat, she was taken back as she realized something. She had confirmed her suspicions, that the bat creature had an absurdly massive amount of magical energy around it, but she then noticed that the beast she had fought had nearly as much as the bat did.
“Is everything okay?” Applejack asked as she looked to Twilight, noticing the shock on her friends face.
“These creatures… these Pokémon… there is no way anything in this world should be able to hold that much magical energy,” the princess stated as she turned to the farmer. “We couldn’t do anything because there magical power is on an entirely different level than anypony here has. The only reason that this bat thing could attack it is because they have nearly the same amount. It should be impossible.”
“Excuse me, mister Salamence?” They turned back to the bat and beast, which was called Salamence if the former was correct. “You must know that attacking things other than Pokémon, even if they are not human, are not something nice.”
“Mence! Sala salamence!” The Salamence barked back in an aggressive tone at it’s fellow Pokémon.
“Oh, you haven’t heard of me? I’m Lunala, guardian of the moon, and that’s all you need to know. Now what seems to be the problem?”
“Salamence sala sa mence.”
The bat, Lunala, sighed as she looked to the Salamence. “Look, I may be new to the whole legendary business, but you don’t attack something because it walked towards you.”
“Mence!”
“What?! She was trying to be sweet to you and you turned her down! Now that isn’t very nice, and absolutely unbelievable. Apologize to the yellow one right now!”
“Sal!”
“Oh, you’re going to act that way? You know, my mommy told me that-”
“Salamence sala.”
“... what did you just call me?”
It was at that moment that the Elements of Harmony decided it was best to take a few steps back. Lunala’s face was inches away from the Salamence she was talking to, and it was clear that things weren’t going very well between the two. Twilight was already preparing a shield spell in case things went south, and considering the sudden change in attitude ‘the legendary’ had had, things weren’t going to be pretty.
“Sala… mence… sala.” The Salamence said, who Rarity and Applejack was surprised to see shaking in fear.
Lunala frowned, Twilight noticing how the magic surrounding the legendary seemed to bounce around uncontrollably. “You think I’m gonna let you free after that?”
Before any response was made, Lunala smacked the Salamence with her left wing, sending it flying to the air without effort. Lunala then took off, a third eye appearing on it’s head which fired a beam of light into the sky. Salamence managed to open it’s wings, steadying itself as it did, but by that point the Moon Pokémon was too close. The beam went right past him, opening up the same kind of wormhole that the ponies saw earlier, and Lunala slammed him inside. The portal closed behind her, but seconds later another one opened, Salamence hitting the ground at mach speed.
Lunala appeared from the wormhole moments later, Twilight noticing the moon that appeared in the wormhole. “Never, ever , call me naive!”
Energy started forming from the tips of Lunala’s wings, the legendary directing the energy around her head as it did. For a good few seconds all the energy did was grow, forming a ball of light as big as Lunala’s head. Than, with an unintelligible cry, the ball of light shot down, forming into a beam so bright it blinded everypony in the immediate area. Twilight was the only one who didn’t look away, her thoughts going back to what Pinkie had said earlier. This Lunala, this Pokémon right in front of them, was the godly being that her friend has sensed. That fact only became more obvious as the beam of light faded away, a crater formed around where it had hit and going several feet deep.
Miraculously, she could still see the Salamence breathing, though it was very heavy.
“Whew, glad that's over with,” Lunala said nonchalantly as she lowered herself over the crater. “Hm, might have overdone it a little bit, but he should be fine in a few hours,” She looked over to the ponies who had watched everything play out, seeing the awe in their faces, and the terror in another. “Um… hey.”
“That. Was. The coolest thing I have ever seen! ” Rainbow shouted as she flew over to the Moon Pokémon, the others following her. “How did you do that? That was more powerful than anything I’ve ever seen.”
“Oh, i-i-it was nothing, really,” Lunala responded in a humble manner, doing her best to seem formal. “In fact, even though I didn’t hold back as much as I wanted to, that was still much weaker than how the Moongeist Beam is at full.”
“My that is some power you got there, and your look definitely shows it,” Rarity complimented as she examined Lunala, taking in the majesty of the creature. “You are absolutely gorgeous! The Pokémon Fluttershy are caring for might be cute, but you look like you belong on a thrown.”
“Really?” Lunala said, her mannerism like that of a young foal seeing Celestia’s castle for the first time. “I’ve never thought of myself that way, but I should apologize for-”
“Nonsense darling,” Rarity said. “That beast deserved what it got, and you shouldn’t feel bad about it.”
Despite those words, Twilight saw that Fluttershy wasn’t interested in the Pokémon who had just saved them. In fact, she seemed more concerned about the Salamence that was barely breathing. While Pinkie, Rarity, Rainbow, and Applejack all focused on Lunala, Fluttershy checked Salamence’s injuries. Twilight knew that the others saw this Lunala, guardian of the moon, as some sort of savior, but with power like that she couldn’t help but see it as the opposite.
“This god, this Pokémon, it’s not the merciful creature I was hoping for,” She thought as she looked between the legendary and Fluttershy. “Anything willing to do that over such a tiny insult is… horrible! No, not horrible, merciless.”
—- Meanwhile, in the Alola Region’s Hao’li city —-
“Hau, I told you this would happen,” A dark skinned girl with a black tank-top and a striped black and white skirt said to the boy across. “You can’t just gulf them down, you’re going to hurt yourself.”
“Oh, loosen up Luno,” Hau responded, having finished clearing his throat of the malasada that had refused to go down. “You’re one to talk miss Z-move-dance-enthusiast. You do realize how often you do it, right?”
“That… nevermind,” Luno replied with a dismissive wave. “So, you wanted to call me over because of what exactly?”
“Primarina has been feeling a little down lately, and I’m not exactly sure what’s going on,” Hau reminded her with a smile, mouth already stuffed with another malasada. “I just thought, considering you have the ability to communicate with Pokémon, that maybe you could see what’s wrong.”
Luno sighed, knowing that it was probably something along those lines that Hau had wanted to request of her. It seemed that, no matter how important her duties as champion of Alola was, everyone came to her because of that one specific gift. Every Pokémon on her team, no matter how long she’s had them, joined not just because she won a battle and caught them, but because she could communicate with them. Everyone thought that it was amazing she could do something no one else could, but she couldn’t help but feel it was the only reason some people stayed around her.
“Hau, who is Primarina’s trainer again?” Luno asked, bored out of her mind. “You are. You don’t need some Pokéwhisperer to tell you what’s wrong, because it is a trainer’s duty to be able to help their Pokémon.”
“Oh, right,” Hau said, slightly embarrassed at the fact he had been ratted out by someone younger than him, even if only be a few months. “Sorry, it’s just a habit to ask you considering your reputation with that stuff.”
“Just... please don’t make a habit out of it,” Luno told him. “Also, the Z-dance thing? That was your best comeback?”
“Hey, at least I tried,” Hau said. “Anyways, this thing that Nebby mentioned to you. Is she really taking Lillie to go help another world with Pokémon.”
“Yep,” Luno said, smiling for the first time since they had started eating. “Got a few days off later this week. Figured you and me could maybe take the Recon Squad’s Solgaleo and visit them then. What do you say?”
“What? You never told me she was dimension hopping,” Hau shouted, feeling extremely jealous of his friend. “If you think I’m gonna pass up the opportunity to ride Solgaleo, need I remind you who here is the reigning champion of taurus riding?”
“I do still owe you, so it might as well be for this,” Luno said with a shrug. “Two days from now, Altar of the Moone, got it? That’s when we leave.”
Author's Note
So the next chapter isn't next on my list of things to do. I want to get the first FTE of chapter 3 for Danganronpa V.E. done first, but that shouldn't take too terribly long. I figured I'd just give you all a heads up, but I doubt it will be very noticable.
I'm absolutely shocked at how quickly this story reached not just one hundred, but two hundred views considering my luck with this stuff in the past. Usually it takes a few chapters, but the fact you all are interested did somewhat surprise me. I was worried that, with the plot's premise, most of you would probably just chalk it up as a "New World" side story. There is definitely some influence from those stories, but this is completely separate if it wasn't already clear. So, yeah, thank you all.
Oh, also, I got into doing small contests for all you commenters to take part in, and I decided that Fluttershy's nicknames for the Pokémon she keeps should be part of it. So, I ask you this, what should she nickname Salamence? Leave a comment below if you have a choice.
Feedback would also be nice, so please do that too. I won't be too preachy, but if you point out spelling mistakes or inconsistencies between this and the Pokémon universe please tell me. I will fix it if you do.

The Time Royals Met Legends
Fluttershy looked over Salamence, noticing the bruising and slight wounds it had gained from the battle. She was thankful that Lunala had done what she did, but it didn’t stop the fact she felt bad about what happened to it. It had been angry, torn from its home in the mountains and shoved into the forest where I didn’t belong. None of her friends understood that, and they likely never will, unless they learn to talk to animals in the way she does.
“Sala !” Salamence growled at her, still noticeably unhappy about being around here. “Salamence… Sala sala.”
“I understand how you feel, but you aren’t in shape to go anywhere right now,” Fluttershy explained, motioning to the bruising and scratching that the Pokémon had gained from the Moongeist Beam. “Look, I know you’re angry, but you need to control yourself. I can help you get better, but you have to behave yourself if you do come cwith me. You want Lunala to do this to you again? Or would you rather heal and than go somewhere you can be left alone?”
Salamence looked away, not liking anything that Fluttershy was saying to him. It wasn’t often he get himself into situations like this, as he was known for being tough and unbeatable. To so effortlessly be beaten, even if it was a legendary, it made him angrier than he already was. He wanted to crush this legendary that he had never heard of, but in his current state, as much as he didn’t want to admit it, that would only do more harm than good.
He looked past Fluttershy, watching as Lunala introduced them to an Alolan Vulpix that had come out of the bushes. He could see the way Lunala seemed to enjoy the glory of victory, unaware that he was still awake and watching. Suddenly, Salamence smiled as an idea came to his head, already enjoying the idea of a future battle. If things turned out the way he expect, Lunala would be staying around these pony, and being with Fluttershy would keep him close enough to challenge her when he was powerful enough.
“Sala,” He called out calmly to Fluttershy.
“You will behave?” Fluttershy asked, surprised at how willingly Salamence submitted. He nodded, letting the caretaker know with a growl he wasn’t happy about this predicament. “Okay, but I expect you to be on your best behavior while you heal. I might be an expert in the area, but that doesn’t mean I can take everything.”
Meanwhile, Lunala, or Nebby as she had now introduced herself as, was enjoying all the positive attention she was receiving from the ponies around her. She had introduced Lillie to the four in front of her, the former human still not very happy about the situation she was in, and was now be cuddled by Pinkie. Nebby had kept Lille’s humanity a secret for the sake of simplicity, instead saying that she was an old friend from before she evolved. It was a far cry from everything that was said to her when with the other legendaries, and even the things that people said behind Luno or Lillie’s back when she traveled with them. The feeling of appreciation, even if she had to go a little overboard in order to do it, was something she didn’t feel all that often.
“So, yer a legendary Pokémon, which are not only more powerful than any other Pokémon ever found, but are worshipped and respected by the inhabitants as well?” Applejack asked, both intrigued and annoyed at Nebby’s place in her world. “That must be a pretty comfy life if ah do say so myself.”
“Oh, it’s been far from comfortable,” Nebby said, looking away and rubbing the tips of her wings together embarrassed. “The very day I evolved into Lunala I got attacked by this Pokémon called Necrozma. He’s… not the easiest to be around to say the least, but things are better now. I think he is still slightly embarrassed about the entire thing after Luno talked to him.”
The ponies looked to each other, and then look back at Nebby in confusion. “Luno?”
“I’ll tell you about her later,” She responded. “Anyway, I probably should have said this earlier, but is there some sort of figure of high authority I can talk to? I’m here to make sure things go smoothly with the Pokémon around here.”
“Is that all you want?” Twilight said, finally pulling herself together and confronting the creature in front of her. “You came out of nowhere and almost killed that… thing, all because it insulted you,” Nebby sighed internally, her high intelligence (most of which was thanks to evolving) seeing this argument as illogical. “You came here to take over the world, right? Why else would some being with immense power come to our world with all their own kind? Will Nebby, f you think I’m gonna sit by while you-”
“You want to know what a Salamence can do to a non-Pokémon with those jaws of it?” Nebby asked, interrupting Twilight in the middle of her rant. “It’s a dragon-type, one of the most powerful types of Pokémon there is. Most types won’t deny it, and only fairy types overpower it. We Pokémon have an aura that protects us in battle from anything, and the most that happens to us is faint. Do you have that?”
Twilight, even as a researcher of magic, had no idea what most of that meant. She wanted to retaliate, but one look at her friends told her that they weren’t on her side. Instead, she thought over Nebby’s question, the one thing she was certain she could answer. Yes, ponies did have an aura that protected them, but one look at the one both Nebby and the Salamence had told her it was far greater.
“I’ll take the silence as a no,” Nebby said. “So, anyways, who's the leader of this place?”
“You’re standing in front of one right now,” Twilight told her. “I’m Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship and the former bearer of the element of magic. The ones in front of you are the other element bearers and my closest friends. I’m sure they also see how dangerous you must be and that you can’t stay here.”
“Twi, why are you acting this way?” Applejack asked, baffled at the way Twilight was currently acting. “Neb’s just saved us from what could have been the death of everypony here, and yer acting like she is the villain.”
“Don’t you see, that was only her way of getting close to us!” Twilight exclaimed in a worried manner. “Next thing you know she’ll brainwash all of you into serving for her and take Ponyville, and then she’ll take Canterlot! This Nebby only did this because it was in her best interest.”
Nebby looked to Lillie for advise, the human-turned-Pokémon doing the Vulpix equivalent of a shrug.
“Princess Twilight, sorry if I made a bad first impression, but your life was in serious danger,” The Moon Pokémon reminded the Princess. “Salamence and it’s kind have killed people from my world before, and without an aura you couldn’t hurt it. It would have killed you!”
“Excuse me, miss Lunala?” Nebby looked to see who had spoken, seeing Fluttershy looking at her with worry in her eyes. “As much as I understand what you were trying to do, we should still help mister Salamence. Besides, as the element of kindness, I can’t just turn away from somepony or something that is hurt. I have medicine and a place for it to heal, but I can’t carry it.”
Nebby looked to the injured Pokémon, and then back to the pony who had talked to her. The eyes, it was like the one she always used on Lillie when she was still a Cosmog (and continue to use on Luno, though it was far less effective). No Pokémon, pony, or human could refuse eyes like that unless they were truly soulless. There was no way Nebby couldn’t assist, because even though she was immune to it herself, she could help but approve of the method.
“I’ll carry him, just show me where you’re going!” Nebby said in a chipper tone, doing a small flip in the air much to Rainbow’s approval.
“We’ll I need to get back to the farm, so ah’ll leave that to you two,” Applejack explained, tipping her hat before walking off.
“Yes, it is getting rather late in the day, I think it would be a good idea to head home and discuss things tomorrow,” Rarity nodded in agreement as she followed after Applejack. While Rainbow and Pinkie didn’t say anything, they nonetheless did the same, the latter putting Lillie back on the ground.
“Vul,” She said, proceeding to hug the ground.
“You know, I could have told Pinkie you didn’t enjoy that,” Fluttershy told her, much to the surprise of both Nebby and the Vulpix. “Oh, right. I probably should have said this sooner, but I can talk with animals, or as I’ve found out Pokémon too. It comes with the trade.”
“Wow, so your just like Luno than!” Nebby responded, laying flat so that her head was at level with Fluttershy. “That’s so cool . For the longest time no one could understand me except for her. When I became a Lunala I still couldn’t speak, but one of the perks of being a legendary is that learning another language is easy.”
“Oh, that explains why the other Pokémon I’ve met can’t speak it,” Fluttershy said as she thought it over. “Anyways, would you mind giving me a hand over here? Who knows what could happen if we leave those injuries unattended.”
Nebby nodded, following Fluttershy into the crater that had formed. Her thin frame allowed her to effortlessly slip under Salamence, lifting him up and balancing him on her back. Twilight watched this all from a distance as the two made their way out of the forest, Lillie hurrying after them and shouting for them to wait for her. Much of this reminded her of Cadance and Shining Armor’s wedding, but it was the day she came back to see her friends hanging out with Discord that took hold in her mind.
“Yeah, I guess it is a lot like that day, isn’t it?” She said to herself, starting after Fluttershy and Nebby. “Guess I have to apologize for all this.”
—- Meanwhile, at the Castle of Friendship (whatever the heck it’s name is) —-
“Yeah, she hasn’t come back yet,” Starlight told the two alicorns next to her. “Twilight said it might be a while, but I expected her to stay here for when you two arrive. Guess these new species she told me about must be more exciting than I thought.”
“It only makes sense that Twilight is curious, she has not lived as long as we have,” Luna told the unicorn, as they looked out from the balcony to the horizon, Celestia lowering the sun next to her. “I must admit that I’m also rather curious about these Pokémon creatures, and I know that of anypony here she is the one who would want to do the research.”
“So… the wormhole from earlier doesn’t concern you?” Starlight asked, not understanding why they were so calm. “That was a much bigger creature than the ones she mentioned before heading back.”
“In that case, we should go see if they are at Fluttershy’s place,” Celestia suggested, the sun completely out of view. “It would be a good idea to make sure they are safe in case some threat has suddenly appeared.”
—- Meanwhile, outside of Fluttershy’s cottage —-
Fluttershy and Nebby parted the trees as they finally arrived at the former’s residence. Salamence was resting on the Moon Pokémon’s back, though Fluttershy would have to wake him up to make sure he didn’t suffer a concussion. Lillie stayed not far behind them, mostly following Nebby due to her trust in the legendary. The last to exit was Twilight, thinking of exactly how to apologize for her accusations. However, each time her thought process was stalled by Nebby, who told Fluttershy all about her world and friends.
“I’m a little confused. Is this Gladion nice or not? You seem to go back and forth between the two,” Fluttershy asked before noticing where they were. “Oh, we’re back. Nebby, follow me. I’m going to put Salamence somewhere else since I don’t think he would enjoy being around the other Pokémon here. Lillie, my house and the Pokémon house have doggy doors, so you can stay in one you want for tonight.”
“Vulpix?” Lillie looked too Nebby, her head tilting to a slight angle out of instinct. “Vul.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll be right back,” The legendary said nuzzling the Alolan Vulpix on the nose.
With that, Fluttershy and Nebby walked out of view from Twilight and Lillie, leaving the two alone and the latter worried. Lillie didn’t know why she was worried, but something told her that she had to stay and wait for Nebby to return. However, it wasn’t the fact her body wouldn’t move that scared her, but rather the idea that something might happen. That was something she hadn’t felt since Nebby evolve into Cosmoem, but she was a legendary Pokémon now. Lillie had no reason to worry, and yet she couldn’t worry more.
“You two must be close, huh?” Lillie felt a hoof rub her head. She looked up to see Twilight next to her, sitting down with a mixture of a smile and concern. “I’ve seen the way Fluttershy’s animals get when she’s gone for a long time. It’s a lot like you are now. You two must have known each other for a very long time.”
“Pix,” Lillie answered, nodding. It was then that she felt something touch her tail, and saw a velvet aura surrounding it.
“Wow, I thought it was just a single tail, but you have six?!” Twilight said in excitement. “I’ve never seen anything like that in my life! You’re a Vulpix right? An Alolan Vulpix? Do normal ones have the same amount?” Lillie, despite everything telling her not to, nodded in reply. “Eee ! This is amazing! Hope you don’t mind if I just take a little hair sample.”
Twilight didn’t wait for a response before doing just that, taking a few strands of hair from Lillie’s tails. The slight pain caused her to jump, her fur freezing in a mean to protect herself. Twilight had seen this action herself, noticing how it glistened as the moon started to rise slowly into the air.
“Oh, eheheh, sorry about that,” Twilight said as she messed the back of her mane.
“I see somepony has been busy today.”
The princess’ eyes widened as she turned around, Lillie doing the same though with more curiosity than shock. Standing in front of her were two ponies much taller than any of the ones she had met, both of which had both wings and horns. One had a pure white coat and the other pitch black, their manes flowing in the wind. She looked to Twilight’s mane and pawed at it, expecting some sort of reaction. Nothing happened.
“Vulpix vul vul?” Lillie asked pointing from the two new ponies and then to her. “Pix vulpix pix vul?”
“Celestia! Luna!” Twilight called out, ignoring the Pokémon next to her and rushing to greet her fellow princesses. “I’m so glad you’re here, I have so much to tell you about. I mean, I would have told you sooner but this wormhole appeared in the sky suddenly and my friends and I went to go investigate only to get attacked by-”
“Deep breath Twilight,” Celestia reminded her old student. Twilight proceeded to do just that, letting out an exaggerated sigh. “Now then, you were attacked?”
“Yes, by a Pokémon called a Salamence. I thought we were goners, but then Nebby showed up and beat it with some kind of incredibly powerful magic,” The Princess of Friendship explained. “Honestly, if it wasn’t for the incredibly powerful aura these creatures seem to have, it probably wouldn’t have survived.”
The two princesses shared a glance real quickly, taking in everything that had just been told to them.
“Nebby? Is that what came out of the portal?” Luna asked, turning back to Twilight.
“Oh, hello there!” Without warning, the moon legendary appeared in the middle of the princesses upside down, causing Twilight to shout in fright, falling backwards. “I’m Lunala, but please call me Nebby, it’s far more comfortable for me. So, what are you talking about?”
Celestia was less shocked about Nebby’s appearance than she was about the legendary’s attitude. One look at the Moon Pokémon told the Princess of the Sun that she was royalty, and yet she acted nothing like it. It was like a child in the body of an adult, something both she and her sister were very familiar with. Luna, on the other hoof, was more surprised that she was alive at all. Nebby’s entire body looked like wings with a head. There was no way she should talking, flying, or doing practically anything.
“Nebby, right?” Celestia spoke up, knowing that the legendary was waiting for her. “I am Celestia and this here is my sister Luna. We’re the rulers of Equestria, the land you find yourself in right now, and the arrival of your… race, has cause lots of trouble and confusion over the past few days. That said, we welcome you as the ruler of these Pokémon.”
“Ambassador? Yep! Ruler? Nah,” Nebby waved a wing dismissively as she said that. “I might be the reason the Pokémon are here, but the title of ruler goes to mister Arceus. He’s not here because he doesn’t want to interfere with the current rulers, and because this is my punishment for opening hundred of wormholes to your world.”
“You may call yourself an ambassador, but for the sake of the public it would be best to call you royalty,” Luna explain. “That said, I do wish to understand what you’re reasoning is for bringing your citizens here in the first place. If your world was in trouble, we would have been more than happy to shelter, but you made it clear that isn’t the case.”
“Y-y-yeah, about that,” Nebby said, looking away in embarrassment. “Me and one of Arceus’ sons, Giratina, might have accidently dropped Pokémon into the reverse world and then threw them out using one of my ultra wormholes.” None of the princesses responded to that, something which instantly made the legendary nervous. “So, um, sorry?”
“That’s not why we are silent Nebby,” Celestia explained. “I must ask, considering what you just referred to. Do you know of a place called Ultra Megapolis?”
—- Meanwhile, somewhere in Unova —-
“And you’re sure he will be safe?” Virizion asked Xerneas, looking behind her fellow legendary to that of Keldeo, her adopted son. “I know Terrakion said this would be good experience for him, and Cobalion is, well, Cobalion, but I worry. You sure it’s a good idea to take him to this world?”
Xerneas knew of the fears Virizion kept locked away in the stoic appears of hers. It wasn’t shown to any of the other sacred sword, her son, or really anyone she knew, save for Xerneas. Keeping something from the Life Pokémon was like keeping a Munchlax from his meal. Even with Arceus around, most of the legendaries agreed that she was the most wise of any, having experienced everything with Yveltal.
“You worry you might never see him again, I understand,” Xerneas replied calmly, her voice as soothing as the leaves around her. “If I had a son or daughter, I would worry for him just as much. Yet one thing I’ve learned from my time resting, listening to news the branches give me, is that at a point the mother most realize her boy has grown up,” Xerneas turned around, watching Keldeo pace impatiently, excited to leave on an adventure. “He’s got youth, excitement, hope, and a hunger for adventure. Reminds me of how Cobalion use to be before you three fought all those years ago. That is good for him, and you should let him experience the good that will come from it.”
“If you say so,” The Grassland Pokémon replied, knowing that it was impossible to make Xerneas change her mind. “Just… make sure he stays safe. Adventure is good but it won’t do him good to come back battered and injured.”
The Life Pokémon nodded in reply. “Of course.”

Whelp, so much for finishing the FTE first. I got it in the works, but it’s just so easy to pick this up and write something that I sometimes forget what I actually said I would do. Not that I’m complaining of course.
In other words, who knows what the next chapters might look like. I’ve got a lot of ideas and plenty of time to use them, so most definitely will.
Fluttershy’s Home For Pokemon
The Night in Which Cultures are Question
Lillie, feeling excluded from the conversation Nebby was having with the Princesses, decided to go ahead and see where Fluttershy had gone off to. She hadn’t seen the pony since she went to go take care of Salamence, and the thought of leaving her with something that terrifying scared her. She didn’t know what she could do, having not attempted to use any Pokemon moves yet, but having a Pokémon with her would be better than nothing.
As she circled behind Fluttershy’s cottage she, saw the pegasus at work, hanging a sign over a small building in the back. It was smaller than her house, but it was also bigger than a typical shed. Her wonder at what this place is was satisfied as she read the sign (which she had realized what in english), the words ‘Fluttershy’s House for Pokémon etched into it. Lillie realized that this must have been why she was so willing to take in the Salamence, as she was taking care of some herself.
“Pix!” Lillie shouted, getting the pegasus’ attention. “Vulpix!”
“Oh, hey Lillie,” Fluttershy said as she fluttered down to the ground. She rested a hoof on Lillie’s head, the motion causing the former human to jump back. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to hug you or anything.”
“Vulpix pix!” Lillie said, Fluttershy gasping in shock as she heard what was being said. “Pix vulpix vul vulpix.”
“I’m so very sorry Lillie, I didn’t realize Twilight had done that,” She responded, making a mental note to remind her friend about researching her animals without permission. “Twilight is a scientist, which means that she… well you probably know what a scientist is. I promise not to pull your hair or squeeze you like or do anything like that.”
Lillie didn’t enjoy the way she was being treated, but she figured this is what it would be like until Nebby is done with her mission. She still hated the idea of being pet after what had happened moments before, but she remembered how Luno’s Mawile, Eaie, had been when they first met. Lillie was there when the trainer caught the Mawile, and seeing how Eaie slowly went from being unwilling to do anything to one of Luno’s most trusted Pokémon. She didn’t want to be like Eaie was during the start of the adventure, and being willing to let Fluttershy pet her would prove that.
Slowly and cautiously, Lillie walked back up to Fluttershy until she was within petting distance. “There we go,” Fluttershy said as she rubbed the Alolan Vulpix’s head. “That feels nice, doesn’t it?”
“Vulpix ,” Lillie answered, nodding slightly.
All her worries seemed to melt away as Fluttershy stroked her, a feeling that should have worried her more than it did. The pegasus was gentle, her hoof only leaving as Lillie fell to her side in bliss. Her tails wagged, not wanting it to end, but it sadly did. She noticed that her fur had started to harden again, though she never meant to in the first place. Fluttershy had stopped as soon as she felt the fur on Lillie’s body turn to ice, intrigue taking over.
“Well, I guess you’re still rather young,” Fluttershy said with a giggle. “Pikachu told me that younger Pokémon don’t always have the best control over their powers. Oh, you want to meet the other Pokémon here?”
Fluttershy didn’t wait for an answer, but Lillie decided it was for the best. Having someone around who would be able to understand her during her time here was much better than the alternative. She just hoped that none of them asked her to battle. That would be a disaster for her.
Fluttershy watched the Vulpix walk into the shelter, smiling as she saw how much Lillie was willing to trust her. With that taken care of, she made her way to the edge of her forest where Salamence was currently resting. She had heard from Nebby that her world had ways of almost instantly healing a Pokémon’s wounds, but the method did not exist in Equestria. Instead, she used a mixture that Zecora had made for her, as the zebra was the only one who knew of the Pokémon before today. Taking out a wet washcloth, she poured a small amount of the mixture into the center. Next, at the suggestion of Nebby, she took a few berries she had squeezed it with the cloth.
“I really do wonder if this will work,” She mumbled to herself, looking over the blue and yellow substance that was now covering the mixture. “Well, she is a legendary, so she must know what she’s talking about.”
Carefully and gently, Fluttershy placed the washcloth over one of the many injured areas on the Salamence's body. After a little bit she put more pressure on the spot she was rubbing, her mind completely focused on what was in front of her. Suddenly, Salamence moved, causing her to drop her focus. He turned to face the pony, growling at her to show his discomfort.
“Stay still, you don’t want to hurt yourself more than you already are,” Fluttershy told him. “Besides, you did promise to behave.”
—- Meanwhile, not too far away —-
“So Necrozma tried to take your light too long ago?” Nebby asked, making sure she had received the info correctly. “Then, you must have helped seal him, right?”
“No, but we did drive him out,” Luna answered. “My sister and I fought him for a while, but we was more powerful than anything Equestria has ever witnessed. Tirek, Discord, none of them compare to his power.”
“Yeah, that sounds correct,” Nebby nodded in agreement, the painful memories of being controlled by Necrozma coming back to her. “I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for Luno, and I owe her my life for what she did. Necrozma he… used my body as a source of energy in order to take Alola’s light for himself. Everything about this body felt so great and then he just took it away.”
“You’ve mentioned this Luno before, though you haven’t told us who they are,” Celestia acknowledge, noticing how often Nebby seemed to refer to this character. “They must be very important to you, and a hero no doubt.”
The moment Nebby heard the word hero she got nervous, knowing well that Luno would break at the word. Yes, she was a hero in more ways than one, but she didn’t like the idea of being called one for one simple reason: attention. She took the island challenge not for popularity, but for self-recognition and the experience. Becoming a champion was not something she had expected, but she was okay with it because Alola needed one. Being know as the hero who defeated Ultra Necrozma and Rainbow Rocket on the other hand, it was one of the few things that pushed her buttons. Nebby swore she heard someone hit a wall somewhere.
“Yeah, probably not the best idea to say that in front of her,” Nebby told them with no context, hoping that the warning would be enough. “As for who Luno is, she is my trainer, or more broadly a Pokémon trainer; someone who journeys with Pokémon and battle other trainers for the title of champion. She’s really laid back, to the point were almost nothing can really phase her. In fact, she is so laid back that it’s near impossible to tell if she is sad, angry, annoyed, excited, or really anything other than happy.”
“Whoa now,” Twilight said, a certain description concerning her. “Did you just say these Pokémon trainers… battle others! Like they use Pokémon to fight and simply watch!”
“No, the trainer doesn’t just watch. They wouldn’t be a trainer if they didn’t take part,” Nebby reassured, though it was only Twilight who needed reassuring. “I guess, if you want to be fancy about it, the trainer is like a strategist or tactician and we are the soldiers. One Pokémon can only bare a small number of moves, usually around four or so, and it’s a trainers job in the heat of battle to strategize the best way to defeat the opponent. Again we can’t die from a Pokémon battle since our aura’s protect us.”
Both Celestia and Luna had found themselves intrigued at the explanation Nebby had given them. Twilight, however, was still overwhelmingly uncomfortable about the entire situation. An entire civilization battling for fun, using creatures of mystical power in a way that seemed absolutely wrong to her, and both sides enjoying it was not something she could imagine. Her rational side was overthrown by her more irrational side, starting to panic as Nebby continued.
“Let’s see, an example,” The Lunala mumbled to herself, before being reminded of a particular battle she had experienced. “Oh, right! I remember this one time Luno, the rest of her team, and I had found this Gethsis guy from another world. That was not long after Moonlight had joined us, but it was Eaie and Angel, the former being a Mawile and the latter a Furfrou, who carried most of the fight. A Mawile can do this thing called mega evolution that allows them to take a more powerful form, and she took down half of Gethsis team of five before fainting. Fainting is what happens when a Pokémon can no longer battle.”
“You’re not getting the point Nebby!” Twilight exclaimed, no longer able to contain herself. “Battling isn’t right! You’re hurting other Pokémon that didn’t do anything wrong, and even than I’ve found that talking can be more effective. If you are willing to do something like that, than I was clearly right before when I said-”
“Twilight, enough!” Celestia shouted in the Canterlot voice, instantly shutting down her former pupil’s argument and cause a chill through Nebby’s spine. Celestia, glad to see Twilight had stopped, cleared her voice before explain. “I’m sorry to go against you Twilight, but I fear you are taking what she is saying wrong.”
“But Celestia-”
“Tell me, Princess Twilight, do you know anything about the history of Nebby’s world?” Luna asked, picking up where her sister had left off. When the Princess of Friendship attempted to speak again, Luna had already prepared a reply.“I can see that lie from miles away Twilight, nopony is going to be fooled. The answer to my question is no, whether you want to believe it or not, and it will always stay no matter what books you read or what beliefs you have. These battles, these trainers, and these Pokémon are complete unknowns from a place we know nothing about, and it is not our place to try and force change on something so natural.”
“You don’t understand Luna, these trainers are making these creatures battle,” Twilight said convincingly, trying her best to get her viewpoints across to the others. Her eyes looked away, back to the Everfree that she had been in not so long ago. “How in the world can that do any good for anypony?”
“In order to understand that, I ask you to change ‘the world’ to ‘their world’,” Celestia explained, approaching her former pupil and using her front hooves to shift her gave towards the Princess. “Our world is not their world, and as such the beliefs, histories, cultures, and morals they live by are different. I can tell from the way Nebby has explained that this isn’t something Pokémon are forced to do, at least in that way. It’s clear that their view of battling is different from that of ours, and we have no business changing it.”
Twilight couldn’t believe what she had just heard the princesses say, having always seen Celestia as someone who hated things such as violence and harm. She understood where Celestia was coming from, but that didn’t make Twilight think she was any less right. This was not a position she was use to being in, having always felt she made the right call and that she was correct in the end. To be told she was wrong, that this ‘battling’ wasn’t as bad as she thought it was, seemed absurd.
“As much as I would like to continue this, I believe that it’s time we turned in for the night,” Celestia suggested, stretching her wings as she looked to Luna. The younger sister nodded in agreement, and the two turned back for Ponyville. “Twilight I recommend you think this over and give some thought as to what I’m saying. Till then, we bid you farewell.”
—- I’ve started to realize how repetitive these are —-
Lillie groaned in annoyance, looking behind her to Popplio, Ashimari, who had decided to snuggle with her tail and fall asleep. Neither Fluttershy or Nebby had come to check on her or any of the other Pokémon inside since she last saw them. Looking out, she saw the moon was high in the sky now.
“They’re liking asleep by now,” she thought with a yawn. “I guess it makes sense for that Fluttershy… pony? Right pony.”
Lillie ended her thought there, noticing how heavy her body was. She looked at Ashi, who wouldn’t wake up no matter how much she moved. Her tails were stuck, which meant she was as well. So, with a heavy sigh (or ‘vul’ as she heard), Lillie resigned herself to the fate of sleeping right there, Popplio crushing her tail, and closed her eyes.

From this point forth, I’ll try and focus more on what I actually wanted to do: have Fluttershy take care of some Pokémon. Sorry it took so long getting to this point.

Fluttershy’s Home For Pokemon
The Prologue in Which Twilight Has a Heart Attack
Fluttershy hummed happily to herself as she prepared breakfast. Angel was still asleep, and so was the many other animals that she cared for around her cottage. She was more than happy to let them sleep in this morning, especially when things had been far more hectic the past few days. Pouring herself a box of cereal, the pegasus quickly floated around her kitchen, checking cabinets to make sure she didn’t need to head into town today.
“Hm, looks like I’m gonna need some more fish,” She said quietly before giggling. “Ashimari does seem to enjoy eating.”
Putting down her full bowl of cereal, she quickly grabbed a pencil and added “a dozen fresh fish” to an already bizarre list. She also remembered what she had heard Ashimari say to her yesterday and put down “a ridiculously large variety of berries” afterwards. Even after taking care of bears, goats, and many other different animals, she was sometimes surprised at some of the things that she needed to buy. She could only hope that everything was in town.
Even after the wonderful sleep she had the night before Fluttershy could feel just how drained she was. She had been home for the better part of the week putting together a project that didn’t seem to end. Everytime she thought she had it finished, something quickly proved her otherwise. Everytime she wanted to work, her animals needed her attention or her newest arrival wanted to play. She had no problem with it all, but just because her talent is taking care of animals doesn’t mean she doesn’t get tired from it.
All she wanted was to eat her cereal in the peace and quiet of another thursday morning.
Knock knock
“Fluttershy? Are you home?”
Though Fluttershy knew, being the element of kindness, in a town that many agree is a total disaster field, on the edge of the everfree, and her own timid personality keeping her away from many things made her friends uncomfortable. The last few days had been so busy for her that she barely had time to hang out with any of them. It disappointed her, but that was the life of any animal caretaker: those she looked after had to come first. Fluttershy sighed, walking away from her cereal and to the door in order to answer it.
“Bwark?”
“No Ashi, stay in the living room for the time being. I don’t want Twilight to… well I’ve told you what happens when she sees something she doesn’t understand,” She said just loud for Ashimari to hear from the other room. “Don’t worry, everything will be fine.”
That taken care of, Fluttershy turned back to the door in front of her and creaked it open. She checked to make sure it was her closest friends, though she already knew it was. Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Spike, and of course Twilight Sparkle were all waiting for her to open the door. Her worries satisfied, Fluttershy opened the door up and saw the relief on her friends face as she entered their sight. Twilight in particular was relieved to see Fluttershy was okay.
“Hey girls,” She greeted with a smile. “I think I know why you are here.”
“If ya didn’t I would think something bad had happened,” Applejack told her. “You spending a few days away from all the crazy in Ponyville is normal, but you haven’t even been in town for food for the better half of the week. We were worried you had gotten sick.”
“Oh you don’t need to worry yourself about me,” Fluttershy assured the farm pony, knowing it was best not to hide anything with Applejack around. “I’ve been rather busy the last few days because I found some new animal friends who needed somewhere to stay.”
“New animal friends?” Twilight looked at her with a sense of curiosity. “We didn’t see any new animals one the way here. You aren’t lying, are you?”
“I’m pretty sure AJ would have picked up on it if that was the case,” Pinkie said excitedly, getting a proud nod from Applejack. “Besides, my pinkie senses have been going nuts the past few days by telling me somepony new is in town. Perhaps it was these new animal friends, considering I haven’t seen anypony knew as of recently,” Suddenly, Pinkie got an absolutely terrifying idea. “Oh! I should throw them a ‘welcome-to-Fluttershy’s-place-lets-all-be-friends’ party!”
“Um, Pinkie?” Fluttershy quickly answered back with a look fear on her face. “Need I remind you of the last time you gave my animal friends a party.”
Not a single member of the elements of harmony could get forget about the mess of a party Pinkie tried to through last week. It wasn’t often that things went haywire at a party, but Pinkie had never put into mind that Fluttershy’s animal friends weren’t ponies. Everything, absolutely everything had gone wrong, and they had all agreed to never speak of it again. Heck, Pinkie even made me, the narrator , keep quiet about the events for the sake of her reputation.
“I still wake up screaming,” Rarity mumbled with a shiver.
“Okay, so maybe not a party, but I still need to meet them,” Pinkie told Fluttershy before she rushed past the pegasi and into her cottage. Before Fluttershy could say anything, it was too late.
“Ark!”
“Oh my gosh, you are adorable !” Pinkie said as she hugged the new friend Fluttershy had made.
The others quickly rushed after the pink party pony, and found themselves both stunned or, in Twilight’s case, flabbergasted at what was in her arms. In Pinkies arms, struggling to get free from the earth pony’s death grip, was a small blue seal creature. It had a large pink nose and a frill around its neck that reminded the ponies of a circus clown. Of course, the creature was the exact opposite of a clown, have large, adorable eyes and being small enough to hold by even a foal if they were strong enough.
“Bark bark bark bark!” The blue seal called out in fear as Pinkie tighten her hug.
“Um… I think you’re hurting it Pinkie,” Rainbow warned as she watched the creature struggle.
“Oh, right,” Pinkie said as she realized what she was doing it, quickly dropping the hug and watching as the small seal crawled over to Fluttershy. “You can’t blame me though. She is absolutely adorable !”
“That… what?” Everypony’s attention turned from the seal to Twilight, who was on the verge of a mental breakdown. “New… thing. New, strange thing. New… species?!”
Twilight’s eyes rolled back before fainting, the others quickly preparing a makeshift bed for her before she hit the hard wooden floor. Fluttershy and Rainbow grabbed and placed blankets, Rarity used the couch cushions as a quick mattress, Pinkie got a pillow, and Spike gave her a stuffed animal to snuggle with. The little seal had no idea how to react to this, both because of how odd it was and the fact they managed to do it in a matter of seconds. Fluttershy quickly took notice of this.
“Oh, don’t worry about it Ashimari,” She said with a smile. “I did expect her to ask question or something, but fainting isn’t that uncommon either. We’ve had lots of practice with both scenarios.”
“Bwark!” Ashimari said happily, feeling a little bit better now.
“So, Fluttershy,” Rarity said as she finished messing with the sheets. “I assume this is the new friend you mentioned?”
“Well, he’s one of them,” Fluttershy explained. “I found Ashimari at the lake a few days ago, and he seemed so scared and sad that I had to help him. Next day I went back and found another new creature I’ve never seen before.”
Fluttershy pointed to one of her window sills, but nopony saw what she was talking about. What they did see was a small, lumpy piece of cloth with a crudely drawn face on it. Applejack was starting to wonder if her friend was going a little crazy, but than she saw something move under the cloth. Rarity had already made her way over to the window, and was looking at the drawn confused. She poked it, but nothing happened.
“Fluttershy, I hate to tell you but this is not aaah! ”
Rarity fell back as she saw the top part of the cloth crack horribly before falling over. She was even more surprised as, even after it’s head looked like it had been snapped, the cloth jumped off the window. It ran over to Fluttershy just like Ashimari had done, all the while making a devilish cackling sound. Everypony in the room, save for Fluttershy, found themself terrified at the living cloth.
“I hate to be rude ‘shy, but what is that?” Rainbow asked, doing her best to not run away in terror.
“Oh, this here is Mimikyu, or Mimi for short,” Fluttershy said as she picked up Mimikyu with her hooves. “The poor thing, all it ever wanted was to be loved. It told me that it wears the cloth because it’s so ugly it killed somepony just by looking at it’s real body. No one, even if they are ugly, she ever be hated because of that,” She put Mimikyu back on the floor, her friends watching as the creature looked over all of them in curiosity. “Oh, and they aren’t actually animals. Apparently they’re called Pokémon.”
“Pokémon?” Spike said as he watched Twilight. “I’ve never heard about them in any of the books Twilight read me.”
“Well, they aren’t actually from here. They’re from another world, and for some reason none of them remember how they got here in the first place,” Fluttershy explained as she patted Ashimare. “Since I don’t know how to get them home, I decided that I would try to give them a home here with all my other animals.”
“Didyousayanotherworld?!” As if she had never fallen asleep, Twilight sprang up and into Fluttershy’s face. The pegasus stumbled back at the sudden lack of personal space. “Oh my gosh. You know what this means, right? It means that I have the chance to research an entirely new set of species in Equestria! Fluttershy, please, you must let me do this. Imagine what we can learn from them, and what new kinds of magic we can learn about from their world!”
“Oh, well, as long as you don’t hurt-”
“Thank you!” Twilight didn’t wait for Fluttershy’s confirmation before teleporting away, most likely to grab everything she would need to do her research.
The room fell silent for a few seconds before Applejack spoke up again. “Flutters, I don’t mean to state the obvious, but your house doesn’t look like it will be enough space for these two, let alone all the others that Poké-whatsit that might show up.”
“Actually, that’s the real reason I’ve been away these last few days,” The caretaker explained. “You see, I’ve been trying to build a place behind my house for them to stay, but it hasn’t worked out very well. I, well, am having a lot of trouble building it.”
“Than you should have told us sooner darling. You know that we would’ve helped if you explain what was going on,” Rarity reminded her friend, putting a hoof on Fluttershy’s shoulder. “Friends help each other out, and I’m sure everyone is more than willing to help you with this little project of yours.
Fluttershy could help but smile as she heard this. She knew that they would be willing to help, but some part of her didn’t feel like it was right to get them involved in this project. That said, knowing that her friends were by her side, it made her feel more comfortable about everything happening.
“Thank you girls.”
— Meanwhile, in another dimension—
Arceus eyed Giratina, who looked at the ground slightly embarrassed at what was happening. It was rare to see the ruler of the reverse world standing in front of his father embarrassed about anything. Many of the other Legenary’s were also in the room, though they weren’t giving the death glare that Arceus was giving.
“Let me get this straight,” The Alpha Pokémon said. “You ‘accidentally’ opened up some portals to the reverse world all around the world. Pokémon of all different types ‘accidentally’ fell into these portals, and in an attempt to save face you forced them back out through a wormhole to another dimension !”
“Okay, in my defense, that last part was Lunala’s idea,” Giratina told Arceus, causing the Alpha Pokémon’s gaze to turn to that of the moon legendary, and the youngest of all the ones present. “She was visiting when all of that happened and-”
“You thought that, since you’ve been able to get those Lillie and Luno people to safety using ultra wormholes, you could do the same now?” Arceus interrupted, looking at Lunala, getting a nod in response. “You do know that, unlike ultra space, the reverse world lies on the same plane of existence as Earth does, right? You can’t open a wormhole to our dimension when you are already in our dimension.”
“Oh, um, hehehe… sorry?” Lunala, like a young naive child, tried to hide her mistake with an innocent smile. The Alpha Pokémon wasn’t buying it for a second. “Okay, I didn’t know that. I’m so sorry mister Arceus, but if it makes you feel any better I do know what dimension I sent them to. Thankfully, it wasn’t ultra space.”
Arceus knew that he couldn’t blame the Moon Pokémon for thinking the way she did. The girl had spent her entire lifetime hiding in a bag, hiding from people who she didn’t realize were trying to help save the Alola Region. That alone made her more of an outcast compared to the rest of the Legendary’s in the room, especially considering she was fine being called upon by the human girl known as Luno for battle. The others might have judged her at times for that, but Arceus knew that it wasn’t completely her fault for her lack of professionalism.
“You don’t need to tell me where you sent them, I have already figured that out myself,” Arceus said in comfort. Arceus knew that she didn’t like him treating her like the rest of his children, both because the two weren’t actually related and because she saw Lillie as her ‘mommy’. “However, you two did keep this knowledge from me for quite some time, so I do have to give some form of punishment. Also, I’ve decided that, with the time that has past, some of the inhabitants of this world you brought all of those Pokémon to have probably created a bond with each other in that time. It would be wrong to separate them, but it wouldn’t be wise to leave them without some form of insight on our kind. Lun- I mean, Nebby , as the one responsible for this I’m sending you as an ambassador of sorts.”
Lunala didn’t seem upset by this. In fact, she was actually really excited about it all. “Oh, oh, can I bring Luno and Mommy with me. Please .”
“Luno is the champion of Alola and has responsibilities that can’t be left. You know that means she can’t come,” Arceus told Nebby, who was disappointed as she heard the Alpha Pokémon say this. “However, I think Lillie would feel more than happy to accompany you on this mission. Just know that we expect her to… help you teach these ponies how Pokémon are.”
That was all Nebby needed to hear before flying out of the room with the energy of a child as she did. However, both Arceus and Giratina knew that the young Legendary didn’t catch the context of his last few words. Not that she would care, as compared to the other legendaries Nebby wanted nothing less than to play, talk, battle of she felt like it, and lighten the mood. She might have been naive, but even the most stubborn could help but bare a smile at some of her antics… save for Palkia. Palkia is the designated ‘party pooper’ and he is therefore not allowed to smile, though he never does anyway.
“Excuse me, dad,” Mew said, raising a paw into the air. “As much as I understand what you are trying to do, we both know that Lunala, even with her mommy’s help, is probably not the best option for this. Why not someone like me or Dialga?”
“As much as I would usually agree with you, I think that Lunala would be more to this worlds… taste,” Arceus said. “Besides, I think we can all agree that watching a human learn to walk on all fours would be fun.”
The two stared at each other for a while, Mew not sure whether to be proud or disappointed at what her father had just did.
“Alolan Vulpix?”
“I think the internet would agree it fits her most.”

This is not the kind of story I usually do on my account, but when you stress yourself out writing mystery and adventure stories all the time you need a little break. This here is a story I feel I can write without feeling increasingly streesed out about, and that’s why it’s here!
