“How about that mare?”

“Too small.”

“Of course she is… What about that pegasus over there?”

“Too tall.”

“Oh come on… Fine, how about him?”

“Too skinny.”

“But… he’s so handsome, look at his cute flanks… no? Alright alright, sheesh.”

Starlight gave a silent farewell to the attractive stallion, his firm, athletic flanks seeming to taunt her as he trotted away, oblivious to the attention he was getting. He was swallowed by the crowd, lost amongst the throngs of ponies milling around the Las Pegasus food-court. Starlight’s disappointment was soon forgotten as she spied another potential candidate, a burly earth pony with a rugged look and a muscled barrel. She shifted on her seat to get a better look at him, her tail swishing with interest.

“Well hello there gorgeous,” she cooed, a hungry smile on her lips, “Trixie, check out that stud over there!”

Trixie threw a distracted glance towards the stallion, barely looking at him before she raised her nose in the air. “Too big.”

Starlight groaned out loud, exasperated. She let her head bang against their table, their cutlery rattling between them. She should have known… She should have known better than to hope Trixie wouldn’t be too difficult.

The plan was simple: take Trixie on a romantic getaway in Las Pegasus, treat her girlfriend like a princess, and then have the naughtiest and most debauched sex, every single night. It had been three days since they had arrived, and everything had gone off without a hitch. Trixie was happy, Starlight’s bank account was screaming for mercy, and they had wrecked two bed frames thus far. Three, if you counted the hole Trixie’s horn had punched through their current headboard.

So why… WHY, in the wide, wide world of Equestria had Starlight tried to spice things up? Why had she proposed they bring a third pony to their nightly activities? Trixie had instantly agreed, but at this point Starlight almost wished her girlfriend had just said no.

They had been stuck for hours now, sitting in this crowded food-court, Starlight desperately trying to find a suitable partner while Trixie shot them down without a second glance. It was a good thing she loved the showmare so very, very much, or Starlight might just have acted on her urge to strangle her marefriend a few dozen candidates ago.

“Hey, why are you getting angry?” Trixie accused, her hooves crossed over her chest with a stubborn pout. “The Great and Generous Trixie agreed to your threesome idea, but she will not let just any other pony in her bed!”

“Shhhh!” Starlight desperately shushed her lover, her head whipping around the open-air restaurant. She gulped when she found more than a few ponies looking back at her, their eyes wide and staring. “Keep your voice down!”

“Humph”. Trixie pretended to be angry for a few more seconds, then she smirked. “That’s not what you said last night. You know, when you were pounding into Trixie with that giant strap-on dil—”

“Trixie!”

Trixie snickered, her eyes twinkling with mischief. “Relaaax, this is Las Pegasus!” She leaned over the table, running her hoof over Starlight’s blushing cheeks, unconcerned by the eavesdropping ponies around them. “No one cares what ponies do here. What happens in Las Pegasus…”

“Stays in Las Pegasus.” Starlight completed with a grumble. She had become very familiar with the saying since they had arrived, it was Trixie’s favorite excuse when she did something crazy. “Fine, but will you please just choose already?”

“Trixie won’t jump into bed with just anypony.” Trixie snorted, seeming offended by the very idea.

“Then just tell me if you don’t want to do it, and we’ll think of something else!” Starlight groaned. “We’ve been here for hours!”

“No. It sounds like fun.” Trixie shook her head. “We just have to find the right pony!”

“Well either you pick someone,” Starlight put on a cheeky smile, “or I swear I’ll invite Twilight to our bed when we get back.”

Trixie stared at her marefriend with a shocked expression. “You wouldn’t…”

“Are you sure about that?” Starlight reclined on her chair, holding her confident grin. “Do you want to risk it?”

Truthfully, Starlight would never have the nerve to present such an indecent proposal to her friend and teacher. Not that she didn’t find Twilight very pretty and adorkably cute, but she was convinced the mare would faint outright if she was invited to a casual threesome. The alicorn was so innocent, Starlight suspected she had never even held hooves with anypony before.

“Alright, alright.” Trixie grumbled. She looked at the ponies walking all around, her ears perked and eyes focused. “Trixie will find somepony.”

Never fails. Starlight thought smugly, chuckling to herself. “So, stallion or mare?”

“Trixie thinks a stallion will be more fun.” The showmare mumbled offhandedly, her eyes roaming the crowd. “He has to be perfect, he has to be handsome, he has to be strong and worthy of Trixie...”

“Hey, we’re looking for a one-night-stand, we’re not going to start a herd with him.” Starlight reminded teasingly.

“He has to have a gorgeous coat and a beautiful mane…” Trixie went on with her mumbling, ignoring her lover. “He has to be… him!”

Starlight blinked in surprise. That was fast. She followed Trixie’s hoof, looking for the stallion she had set her sights on… and she quickly spotted him; her eyes rolled so hard she almost felt dizzy. Of course. Of course, of all the stallions in Las Pegasus, Trixie would choose the one that looked exactly like herself.

“Really?” Starlight sighed, shooting an unimpressed glance at her lover.

“What?” Trixie blinked, apparently genuinely confused by Starlight’s reaction. “You don’t like him?”

“I do, but…” She searched her marefriend’s eyes, wondering if Trixie really was so narcissistic she didn’t realize she had basically chosen a stallion version of herself. She quickly decided to just shrug it off, in the name of her deep love for the mare. And, to be honest, that stallion did look very handsome. “Alright, let’s do this.”

Starlight quickly paid the bill and they hurried out of the restaurant’s fenced area, afraid to lose the stallion from view. She found it somewhat amusing that Trixie now seemed even more eager than herself, the blue unicorn almost cantering in her haste to reach the stallion. Not a few instants before Trixie was dragging her hooves to choose someone, and now she looked like a filly on Hearth’s Warming’s Eve rushing to open a present.

“Uh…” Starlight tilted her head as they came close enough to see the finer details of the stallion’s muzzle. “He’s older than I thought.”

“Even better.” Trixie smiled naughtily. “A stallion with experience!”

“I’d say, he’s old enough to be your… father… wait…” Starlight looked from the blue stallion to the equally blue mare trotting at her side. She eyed their identical coats, their identical manes, and most disturbingly their very similar muzzles. She quirked an eyebrow, a nagging thought coming to her. It was unlikely, astronomically so, but she still had to make sure. “Say, Trixie… What happened to your dad again?”

“How could you forget? Trixie’s father was a hero, a royal guard who died in a great battle before she was born.” Trixie said proudly, reciting the story her mother had told her. “Why?”

“Oh, no reason.” Starlight smiled, glad to put that worry to rest.

They were now close enough to hear his voice, the stallion surrounded by a bunch of foals, his strong voice easily carrying over the ambient noise. Starlight perked her ears in interest, wondering what kind of pony he was.

“… And that is how I, Jack Pot, vanquished the dreaded Shadow Pony and sent him back to Tartarus!” Jack declared grandiosely, rearing back for greater effect. The foals around him gasped in awe, their mouths open in adoration.

“So cool…” One filly mumbled.

“Please, I am but a humble magician.” Jack said with fake modesty. “But, what’s this behind your ear?” He reached around the filly’s head, and produced a bundle of tickets he had hidden in his sleeves. “Why, these are free entries for my midday show tomorrow!”

“Ooooh!” The foals crowded around him, their eyes fixed on the tickets.

“Now, what should I do with these, hmmm?” He rubbed his chin, pretending to think about it.

A little colt shyly tugged at his jacket, his puppy dog eyes shining with hope. “Can… can we have them, pwease?”

“Why, that’s a great idea!” Jack ruffled the colt’s mane, and to the delight of his audience he started to hand out one ticket to each foal. “Here you go kids!”

The herd of young admirers thanked him, and they scattered everywhere, each one running to their watching parents with a ticket in their mouths. Jack chuckled good naturally as the last ticket was given away, a little filly scampering off. It warmed his heart to see his little fans so happy.

He watched the cheering foals to make sure each returned to their family, waving back at his little admirers, and he noticed two mares making their way to him. Two very pretty mares, he was quick to notice. Jack resisted the urge to smile, for he knew the look on their faces; he was about to get some company for the night, if he wasn’t mistaken.

“That was very generous of you.” One of the mares said as they stopped before him. She had a beautiful pale pink coat that matched her purple mane, gorgeous eyes that twinkled with intelligence, and a pair of full-bodied lips currently stretched into a knowing grin.

“Only the best for my fans.” Jack tipped them his hat, putting on his most charming smile. The second mare looked up at him with stars in her eyes, completely awestruck, but the first only smirked wider.

“And it doesn’t hurt that their parents will have to buy full-price tickets to accompany them, does it?” She teased.

Ah, she’s smart. He thought, considering the pink mare with new interest. “Why yes, it’s a fortunate turn of events.” He smiled roguishly, cranking up his charm to eleven. The mare’s cheeky expression crumbled a little, a deep blush decorating her muzzle. He chuckled to himself: he knew full well he was a dashing fellow, and he had a lot of experience when it came to seducing younger mares.

After a few moments the pink mare gathered her wits, her blush softening. She cleared her throat, and spoke with renewed confidence. “I’m Starlight Glimmer.” She offered him her hoof. “Pleasure to meet you.”

“Jack Pot, the pleasure is all mine.” He took her hoof, but instead of shaking it he carefully kissed the tip, bowing like a gentlestallion. He looked up, and was somewhat chagrined to find that his chivalrous act had little effect on the mare: she was smirking at him again, unimpressed. This one is going to be difficult… good, I enjoy a challenge. He held Starlight’s gaze for a few moments, then turned to the second unicorn. “And who might this pretty lady be?”

The petite blue mare was startled out of her dazzled state, a few strands of drool decorating her chin. “Trixie is Trixie!” She blurted, her blue cheeks reddening quite fetchingly. “Trixie is trixy to treex you!” She eagerly thrust her hoof at him, her tail wagging frantically.

And this one is going to be wonderfully easy to tease. He thought as he took her hoof, the mare mewling happily as their matching fur made contact. Instead of kissing her hoof he brushed his lips against her fetlock, a very intimate gesture one usually reserved for a lover. He said nothing, and only looked up at her, holding on to her hoof. She seemed to melt under his smoldering gaze, and Starlight had to support her friend to keep Trixie from literally falling head over heels. He chuckled and finally released the flustered mare, lest she faint outright.

“Always nice to meet a fan.” He stood back up, and gently ran a hoof through Trixie’s mane. He felt a strange tingle as he touched her brow, his heart beating with an unfamiliar warmth, a strange feeling of deep longing filling his chest; he assumed it was the effect of some sort of illusion spell. “What kind of magic did you use to change your colors to mine? You’re the most accurate impersonator I’ve ever seen.”

Starlight quirked an eyebrow. “She isn’t your f—”

“Trixie is your biggest fan, yes!” Trixie interrupted. She elbowed her friend in the ribs, Starlight grunting in surprise. “Right Starlight?”

“Fine, fine, she is.” Starlight rolled her eyes. She looked back at Jack, and her bravado seemed to falter somewhat. She coughed, rubbed her mane, and generally seemed uncomfortable with the obvious question on her lips. “Say…” She began. “I was wondering… If you want… later today…”

“I’m staying at the Golden Stables hotel.” Jack Pot interrupted, his magic gently closing Starlight’s flapping mouth. “Ask for my room number at the reception, I’ll warn them I’ll be expecting company. I’ll be there after my show tonight, and you’re both welcome to drop by.”

Starlight flushed deeper, but she managed to give him a confident smile in return. “We’ll be there.”

“Great!” Jack Pot smiled. “I’ll bring the refreshments, you gals bring the other... necessities, deal?”

Trixie nodded, her eyes wide and obedient. “We will!”

“Very well. But for now, I’m afraid I must bid you adieu, I have a show coming up.” He tipped them his hat again. “Until tonight ladies.” He gave them a wink, and turned to leave without another word. He heard them mumble their farewell, and he could practically feel their eyes on his flanks as he walked away.

Tonight was going to be fun, he could already tell.
