Skate Bluestar is not your ordinary mare. She was born and raised in Canterlot, but hated the posh upper class culture. Happiness was uncommon for her, and her only friend was Luna's daughter. But now Skate is a young mare, and ready for change. When she moves to Ponyville and meets the Mane 6, they thought Skate was the most perfect pony in Equestria. But as their friendship grows, they discover this is not a mare of happiness, but a mare full of secrets, pain, grief, and desperately looking for closure.
