Pinkie's person

The mirror

Previous Chapter

It was the sewing that woke 'Pinkie'.

The soft ticks of the sewing needle were harmless to any other pony, but the metallic clicks had somehow weaved it's way into pinkie's mind, and roused her from unconsciousness. She made out to prop herself up, using her front limbs to push, while she completely got up on just her hind.

"Hey Rarity!"

The shout woke Rarity out of her stupor and she jolted up from her work, a white sundress with blue stitching. She did not tear her eyes off the tall biped when she had called for twilight.

Twilight dashed into the room with the frantic scrambling sound of fast hooves on wood floor, the lack of friction propelling her straight into a machine that was hidden in the corner of the lab. "PINKIE!"

"Yeah?"

"Where did you get that MIRROR?"

Pinkie paused and put a hairless paw up to her muzzle.
"At the dump."

"What."

"At the dump. I was throwing away some baked bads when i saw a shiiiiiiny light. After I touched it, i felt so energized, I could party forever! It's my good luck charm!" Pinkie suddenly turned serious. "I NEED it."

The purple unicorn could only stare in shock. "It took me a whole year to perfect the first portal to the human world, not to mention that it runs on more energy than Manehattan itself! How did you find a self-sustaining portal in the MIDDLE of the DUMP?!"

"Actually, it was more off to the side."

"PINKIE!"

Twilight teleported away in a flash of purple mana and reappeared with a golden spellbook. She flipped through the pages frantically and stopped on a page hard enough to rip it out.
"Pinkie, this is the ultimate guide to the use of mana and thaum. According to this book, a self sustaining portal of this size woul..."

Pinkie tuned out twilight and looked around the dark, bleak room. Pinkie felt weird, she hadn't been cooped up this long... The machines in the room beeped sadly and the dark atmosphere became too much to handle. The human stood upright and crouched down to fit into the tiny pony-sized doorway.

"Pinkie, where are you going? I still have questions!"

"Outside." Pinkie looked out the window of the library. "Or at least I would if it wasn't too dark, we wasted our whole day away!"

"Pinkie, it's barley sunset."

"Well it doesn't look like it." Pinkie huffed and crossed her legs as she sank to the ground.

"Fascinating. The human eye seems to be weaker than the monokerous." Twilight scribbled a note in a journal.

Twilight was so preoccupied that she didn't see Pinkie tiptoe to the door. With a silent hand, the library door was opened, and Pinkie had escaped into the damp spring air.

"Pinkie? Pinkie!?" Twilight looked up from her book.

"I wonder if it would be unethical to put her on a leash."

Author's Note

Ayy lmao. Sorry this small chapter took forever. I was whisked away to a camp for a week, and then sent to live with my grandparents, who have a zero tolerance policy for devices. I managed to write this late at night when I knew they wouldn't be awake. New updates soon! (I hope)
