Twilight’s Grand Digital Adventure Prologue: And So it Begins…. All around the world things were changing, the climate in various regions of the world had turned completely erratic as the weather shifted continuously. Places like the great Sahara desert ended up receiving snow while other places like a rainforest had sandstorms. But that was only the start of the trouble that the world faced for little did anyone know that one group of children was destined to save both their own world and one unknown to all at the time. And it all started in the nation of Japan right in a little summer camp for kids. These kids had been sent by their by their parents with the hope that they might have regular summer experiences despite the erratic weather changes. There were many children in this camp but the group of children you all are familiar with are the ones we are most concerned with. For these were the children destined to save both worlds and unlike in other parallel worlds, there were, in fact, eight from the start here. The first of these kids was the leader that all know as Taichi Kamiya or Tai to his friends, who’s younger sister would end up a DigiDestined herself at a later time. The second was none other than Tai’s future best friend Yamato Ishida or Matt to friends, whose younger brother Takeru Takaishi, though his brother just called him T. K. was also at the camp with them. The third of the children, Joe Kido, was a counselor for the camp as he was the oldest and therefore the most reliable of the group despite how worrisome he always was. The fourth of these children was a girl named Mimi Tachikawa, the daughter of rich parents, who always wore expensive clothes and had a great pink hat on at the time. The fifth of these children was another girl by the name of Sora Takenouchi, a girl who had been friends with Tai since they were in Kindergarten. The sixth of the children was as previously stated Takeru Takaishi, a young boy who just wanted his older brother to like him and treat him as an equal. The 7th of the children was a young boy who loved technology of all kinds but more than anything he loved computers. This child’s name was Koushiro Izumi, known to his friends as Izzy. This young boy was the geek or nerd of the group who liked to show others his work in programming. And finally, the 8th who was previously unknown was a boy about Tai and Matt’s age was an American boy whose name was Richard Sampson who liked to read many kinds of detective novels and hoped to be a private eye when he was grown. He was over in Japan on vacation with his parents who had friends in Tokyo, and so his parents had sent him here to have fun with other kids his age. Now the kids didn’t know anything about the climate change at the time because they were at this camp. But then right in the middle of July, it started to snow and before everyone knew it big blizzards were rushing through camp so the adults got all the kids to safety in different wooden cabins to wait the blizzards out. Once the blizzards had finally died down the whole landscape was covered in white from the snow. Tai was the first one to open the door on a wooden shrine that he and his group had been holding out in. He opened the door to the shrine and looked out at the wintery landscape thinking about how the canoe races that the camp had planned were definitely canceled now. He smiled as a new thought entered his head and he spoke up in a cheerful voice, “So let’s all have toboggan races instead.” The kids all started to exit the shrine as young little T.K called out happily, “I’m going to make the biggest snowman.” T.K.’s older brother Matt wasn’t far behind calling out, “Hey T.K be careful,” as he raced off after his brother. The next to emerge was none other than Sora who shivered as she hugged herself while stuttering, “Brrrr its cold. And I didn’t even bring a jacket.” Right after she exited, Joe emerged saying, “Man, I was worried I’d catch a summer cold, but this is even worse.” Mimi popped up right beside him before he exited as she spoke up in her high pitched cheerful voice, “Ahh Wow, Why didn’t I pack my fluffy pink snow boots?” The kids exited the shrine all except for young Izzy who was still inside trying to connect to the internet on his laptop. He spoke up in frustration, “Still not working. Bummer!” He held up a cell phone like device as he said, “This weather is making a mess of my infrared internet connection.” Richard, on the other hand, was sitting and reading a book about Sherlock Holmes to see if he could find some inspiration before he sighed. “I know I said I wanted something interesting to happen while I was here, But this is ridiculous.” Izzy looked up from his computer for a moment as he frowned, “What are you talking about Richard? Doesn’t enough interesting stuff already happen here at camp?” Before Richard could reply, Tai shouted for them to come outside and see something. They both exited the shrine to see an aurora borealis playing in the air above them. All the kids oohing and aahing at such a beautiful sight as Izzy held his laptop at his side. Mimi spoke up with happiness, “It's beautiful. Magical even.” as Tai replied with, “Yeah.” Izzy replied, “Yeah. But what is it?” Sora was the next to reply tentatively, “Maybe it's an aurora?” Izzy spoke up surprised, “An aurora? You mean the Aurora Borealis? The northern lights? That’s impossible.” He said in disbelief, “You see that in Alaska. We’re way too far south for that.” Sora replied, “Tell that to the snow.” Joe spoke up, “I think we should all go back inside before we catch pneumonia.” Matt frowned as he said, “Man it looks like the sky is short-circuiting.” As all this was going on Sampson was just staring up at it with quiet awe as he kept his sunglasses on his face. It wasn’t long before he saw something he couldn’t explain. A swirling green portal appeared somehow behind the aurora. Tai pointed at it and said, “What’s that?” Suddenly a glowing light appeared in the portal and 8 fiery comets appeared from within. They shot out and down at the kids who looked surprised and scared. However, the comet heading towards Sampson suddenly split in two. The comets all rained down at the kids and caused large impacts in the ground near them causing them to scatter for cover to avoid being hit. They all stopped and covered their heads as they cowered where they were till the explosions and dust finally cleared. Sora finally stood up and looked around as she asked, “Everyone, are you alright?” Matt was kneeling down by his brother T.K. who was down on all fours as Matt said cooly, “We’re all still here.” Mimi was still shaking as she held her hat with both hands down on her head as she replied, “That was so scary.” Joe was splayed down onto his bum as he said anxiously, “W-what was it?” Izzy crawled over to one of the small holes the meteors had left behind as he said questioningly, “Meteors?” Lights started glowing in the holes as shapes of strange devices started to rise up out of the holes. Izzy said in fascination, “Ok. So not meteors.” These devices floated up out of the holes as all the kids stood up, each near a hole. They each grabbed one of the devices out of the air although joe nearly missed his as it rose higher than the others. But he managed to grab it. One of Richard’s devices, on the other hand, looked different than the others. What Richard’s other different device happened to be was none other than the basic data link Digivice from Digimon Data Squad. He of course also had the standard Digivice the others had as well although in a darker blue color. Sora frowned at the device in her hands, “What are these?” Izzy was intrigued as he looked at his, “ My guess is some kind of remote digital apparatus.” And as he spoke the screen of his device started to gleam. And with that, a giant wave surged up out of nowhere as Tai said, “Forget instructions for these things. Surfs up!” He shouted. All the kids were sucked into the wave as it then parted and they fell down through some green void towards a distance line of light. And everything went black for them. Earlier, in another world. “Come on Twilight, you’ve been staring at the device of yours for a while.” a small purple dragon said as he complained to his surrogate mother. “At least tell me what’s so interesting about the device that sunset managed to send you through the mirror.” The device that Twilight was studying was another of those self-sameme digivices the kids on earth had taken hold of. Its gleaming surface looking up at her as she stared at it intensely. Twilight frowned as she replied, “It's strange Spike. It's some kind of digital device from the human world. It's like those computers except smaller and more compact. And it looks a lot older than all the technology they have over there in their world. If I didn’t know better I’d even say it had a magical origin of some kind.” She picked the device up in her magic, “But the strangest thing of all is that no matter what I do it won’t turn on.” She brought the device closer to her with a frown as Spike looked at it uncertainly only to gasp in surprise as the glass screen in the middle started to glow. Twilight was intrigued and immediately brought a parchment and quill to her side as she started furiously writing away with it. The glow became stronger until finally it died down again leaving Twilight frowning. “Huh. It was working for a moment there and now its dead again.” Spike on the other hand was staring at the portal the had opened just above Twilight as he soon felt a suction coming from it. Twilight started to feel the breeze the suction was causing, mistaking it for Spike just leaving a window or something open. “Spike, could close the window?” she asked without looking up from the device. Spike just stammered as the suction started getting stronger. “T-T-Twilight!” He shouted. Twilight frowned as she replied, “What is it Spike? And why haven’t you closed the...window...yet?” she asked as she turned and saw Spike digging his claws into the crystal floors. She was about to ask what he was doing when she felt herself being pulled up from her seat without flapping her wings. The portal’s suction grew stronger and before poor Twilight or Spike could do anything, Twilight was pulled into the portal. “SPIKE!!” Twilight screamed for help as she was pulled in but Spike was unable to do anything. It took all he had to stay in place where he was. And so Twilight fell into the green void as the portal closed behind her. Everything went black for her as she fell towards a distant line of light. Meanwhile the digivice that had been left behind where Twilight had been glowed one final time and shot a beam of bright white light into the space where the portal had been. The beam ended up reaching Twilight and caused something new and strange to happen to her. Her form shifted as it became one with some large monster before she glowed with a yellow light and grew much smaller. The digivice white beam then cut off before the device fell through its own portal to the one who would help save all three worlds. So both the children of destiny and the great princess of friendship were carried through the void to that great wide world known to the inhabitants as the Digital World. The destined children had been deposited on a great big island known as File Island where many different types of terrain was spread out. And it was on this island that our heroes awakened to meet their partners who would help them to save the world. But the curious thing is that the child known as Richard Sampson had been separated from the rest of the digidestined to carry on a destiny greater than that of the rest. For instead of waking up in the forest with the rest of the children, he had been deposited at the treeline near a village where all new digital life started. And it was in this village that this child would meet his partners that would guide him through the future. And it was also in this village that the princess of friendship Twilight Sparkle awoke to face her great new destiny in a form that was both alien yet somehow familiar to her. For the digivice that had changed her into this new form had given her instinctual knowledge that every digital inhabitant was given upon birth and maturation. Now i’m sure your all wondering just what form of digimon she was turned into. Well you need not wonder any longer. For she had been turned into a being known as Kudamon, A Holy Beast Digimon that is always wreathed around a holy cartridge and never separates from it. But she differed from a normal kudamon in that the coloration of her circuitry and jewelry were purple and pink like her old body had been. The other differences were she still had her wings and horn, but both were altered in some way. Finally, the cartridge that a Kudamon normally wreaths itself around would look like it came from a gun, but Twilight’s was her Element of Magic, shaped to look like the very chest she obtained her castle from. Twilight my have been turned into a kudamon, because she was technically a new digimon, her ‘code’ labeled her as “Twiludamon.” But it was now that she woke up in the center square of primary village which was protected and watched over by the champion level digimon known as Elekmon. That gentle caring guardian that would protect the baby digimon there to the death. And the one who had to provide for them all from a river nearby. Another nearby baby digimon that was in one of its cradles was just waking up from its nap with a yawn which is what woke Twilight up in the first place. This baby digimon was a more advanced and rarer type digimon known simply as Petitmon. The small little baby digimon had a single little clawed foot underneath is great big head. A small pair of wings were attached to its back while a pair of horns grew from the top of its head curving back and upwards. It had two small teeth inside of its mouth. Yet this petitemon was different in that it was black in coloration instead of blue yet it didn’t posses any virus at all. So it was somewhat of an outcast among all the other baby digimon. This baby digimon let out a sigh and looked around its cradle and the area in general and blinked as it spotted the coming too kudamon. It let out a cry of “Baa.” As it fluttered out of its cradle to land on the ground near her and nudge her with its nose. Twiludamon groan as she started to regain consciousness, wondering what happened. She mentally checked herself to make sure nothing was damaged. ‘Horn’ she thought as she reached a ‘hoof’ to her horn, not yet noticing anything about her changed appearance.’check’ ‘wings’ she gave them a little flutter before setting them down to rest on her back, ‘check’ ‘front legs’ she then proceeded to move her front legs around in seemingly more complex movements, ‘check and now for the back legs’ Twilight thought as she started trying to move her back legs. However, her legs were at the moment wreathed in her element cartridge, leaving her effectively immobile. The petitmon watched this strange digimon moving its body around trying to move. It watched her with shining blue eyes in fascination as it continued to move around. And then the petitmon laughed as the digimon tried to move forwards only to frown and freak out when it looked back at its holy cartridge. It laughed and laughed, “hahahahahahaha.” Until it finally calmed down only to blink as it saw that the digimon had frozen and was staring at it with wide, fearful eyes. Petitmon gazed into the other digimon’s eyes with its own big wide ones before simply speaking, “Bwaa?” in baby speak. Which would alert this strange digimon that it was only a baby. Sadly it didn’t seem to register to this digimon, something that Petitmon thought was hard coded in all digimon, that it was just a baby. The strange Digimon practically bolted from the area, stumbling or knocking into other digimon as it tried to get away. Petitmon frowned as it watched the strange digimon leave before it let out a sad sigh and just fluttered back into its cradle to lay around and wait for its next meal. It didn’t feel like going out and playing with the other digimon since it was always treated poorly and knocked around most of the time. It just wanted someone to be its friend or love it but sadly that was not forthcoming for it. It looked to where the other outcast digimon, as that was what it had to have been, fled and wondered if he too should just leave. After all, if none of the other baby digimon don’t like him and the caretaker digimon don’t lift a finger to stop the bullying, then why not follow that other digimon. And so he hopped out of his cradle again and started off in the direction the strange digimon had left in. Young Richard Sampson had finally come around from his unconscious state. He sat up with a groan and looked around the area to see that he was near the edge of some strange forest. As he looked around he saw what seemed to be a village of some sort in the distance composed entirely of what appeared to be baby or toddler’s toys. He scratched his head for a moment as he started to get up only to hear the shrieks and screaming of what appeared to be a hysterical creature. It was long, slender and lavender with a horn between two ears. And its body was curled around some object as it hurried along. He was about to speak out when it zoomed up towards him not even really realizing where it was going and the object it was curled around knocked him hard in the head and stopped the creature as its body was restricted. Its own head was knocked into the object and Richard’s gaze darkened before he collapsed on the ground, once again unconscious alongside the strange creature. And that’s all he knew for a while now. Author's Note Hey guys. This is the advent of a new collab between me and Rainboom Dash So I hope you all like it. If you have any suggestions for digimon they should fight let me know in the comments below please. //-------------------------------------------------------// Prolouge: And So it Begins part 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Prolouge: And So it Begins part 2 Digimon: Digital Ponies Prologue: And so it Begins Part 2 Twilight groaned as she woke up and rubbed her face, before freezing when she felt something off about her hoof. Shakily, Twilight opens her eyes and stares at her new ‘paws’ when she remembered the feeling of her back legs missing. Looking around frantically, Twilight was relieved to see that she had her back legs again, before screaming when she noticed she changed like she had when she had gone to Sunset’s world the first time, but this time it was different. Instead of her pony-legs, she was shocked to see her back legs now were like little stubs, with a single claw on each. Her tail changed to look fox-like with the pink and purple interspaced up the length. Her perspective was also changed, or the world she was in was massive, she was about the size of a small dog. Twilight waddled off from the spot where she had woken up to find a pool of water or a mirror so that she could see her reflection. What she did not realize was the fact that she was walking away from the spot where she had knocked out the young boy and herself. Said boy was currently still unconscious and she had not yet seen him. So she waddled off and finally came to a small pool that was close to a nearby stream. Looking into the pool, she was finally able to see what the rest of her looked like. She had a small round body which her fox-like tail was attached too. Her mouth had changed to where it looked like more of a w shape than anything else. She had a pair of big fox-like ears that appeared to be as tall as her new round body was if not a bit bigger. Although these allowed her to listen more readily to the noise around her, the ears were not that flexible. Her eyes had also changed to be slightly triangular in design with her purple pupils looking back at her from the pool. There were small red triangles above her eyes that were also below her ears that did look slightly cool. Her whole body still retained the purple coloration that her previous body did minus her tail which was ringed like a raccoon's. The darker stripes were a much darker purple than the rest of her. She also still had a small nub that was her horn right between her ears and small stubs for her wings. What she did not know was that after knocking into the human child it had sapped more energy from her causing her to revert to Kudamon’s in training form. She was now a Kyaromon, albeit a purple variation of it. She stood staring down at her reflection for quite a while before the information that she’d changed finally kicked in and she proceeded to have her epic freakout due to having turned into a creature that made no sense to her. She was lucky that she had wandered off to the side of Primary Village and out of sight and hearing of the boy before she had her freakout. And while all this was going on events were proceeding back with the boy and the young little Petitmon. The young boy was finally waking up again with a loud groan as he put his hands to his head. His head throbbed with pain from where the weird animal he had seen for just a moment had knocked into him. He kept his eyes closed for a few moments before he finally reopened them as she quietly whispered to himself, “Ugh. Just what kind of animal was that? It seemed to be in a panic of some sort, and it hit me without realizing it.” He looked around the area to see if he could spot the creature wondering if it had been knocked out as well. He frowned as he realized that it was nowhere in sight. However, he did see a small black creature with tiny wings and a single clawed foot underneath it, coming his way by hopping into the air and then floating for short bursts through the air while flapping its small wings before it would go back down again. The creature seemed to be coming his way with a downcast look about it. It seemed to be continuously glancing back at the strange collection of buildings in the distance that he now realized he could see. He frowned and finally stood up from the ground and brushed his clothes off only to stop as his hands brushed against a device attached to either side of his pants. One of the Devices was the one from before he ended up in this strange place. But the other one appeared to be longer and more rectangular with a tiny square window at the top. He looked at the devices in confusion for a moment before looking back at the little creature that was coming his way. He looked at his surroundings more thoroughly to see that he was at the edge of a vast forest. In the distance was the collection of buildings that looked a lot like a toddler’s play toys from blocks to other things. There was a stream running around bends and turns in the distance that seemed to be full of fish. He finally turned back to look at the approaching creature as he muttered to himself, “Just what kind of a place have you wound up in now Richard?” The tiny creature we all know was Petitmon, moving along the trail, sniffing the air to keep in the strange Digimon's scent to follow it better. The Petitmon was so focused on this with its eyes closed that it had yet to see the human child it was rapidly approaching. Finally, it opened its eyes and froze as it softly settled on the ground and looked at the sight in front of it. The Petitmon let out a scared little, “Bah.” as it entirely saw the human. It looked up at the human child with wide, fearful eyes as the human looked down at it with a confused expression. Richard was indeed confused as he looked down at the creature whose appearance defied physics and reality. “How is this possible. Its wings are too small actually to flutter the way it has, and it's only got a single clawed foot underneath its body that shouldn’t have enough strength actually to hop like that. Just what kind of creature is it and where am I?”, He muttered underneath his breath. He finally noticed that the creature was quivering with wide eyes. Like it was more afraid of him than anything else. He slowly knelt down onto the ground as he held a hand out towards it curiously as he said, “Its okay little guy. My name’s Richard, and I’m a human. I won’t hurt you although I do wonder just what you are.” The Petitmon watched Richard kneel down and reach out with his hand slowly. It still shivered with fear for a few moments before its curiosity started to come to the fore. It knew that this being before it was a human. Every young Digimon was taught what a human was and what they were like. All because of the ancient legends of the past about a group of human children who had fought against dark Digimon in the past and sealed them away. Petitmon continued to watch the human as it held its hand out. Figuring that the human wasn’t going to hurt him, Petitmon moved over to the human with a small short hop and landed near the human’s hand. He sniffed the air around the human’s hand, and the smell he got back was one of someone who was kind and caring, who wanted to know more about the world and how things worked in it. The Petitmon looked up at Richard for a moment before closing his eyes and leaning forwards, so his forehead rested against Richard’s hand. That touch was all the Petitmon needed to Digivolve into Babydmon. This in-training Digimon had a small wispy wind looking tail that was black but at the same time mostly see through. It would generally have had green wings and scales except on its belly, but instead, they were black with a red x on each side. The Digimon's eyes were still a pretty violet color, but its head was more draconic. It had two horns growing out the back of its head that would have been black with red tips but were green with blue tips. Thankfully its belly was still the same golden color as other Babydmon. It had no arms or legs to speak of though and was always floating in the air, and caused the white digivice to become a solid black color. Richard stumbled back in surprise when the small creature evolved into a still little, but now bigger creature that looked similar to what Richard would have expected a sea dragon to look like. His shock increased moments later when he heard a high pitched scream come from the forest, followed by a loud roar. Unnoticed by both human or Digimon, the advanced looking Digivice started to glow. Now by this time you all know what happened with the original DigiDestined. It all started with Tai waking up and meeting his partner Koromon and Izzy meeting his partner Montimon. And the two of them aided by their partners managed to run away from a big red bug Digimon was known as Kuwagamon. Kuwagamon was a champion level Digimon that had claws that could slice through trees like a hot knife through butter. What the two of them had failed to see in their haste to escape it, was another smaller Digimon who was frantically running through the forest looking for a place to hide and avoid it. Tai and Izzy had ended up hiding inside a big hollow digital tree till the bug Digimon had flown off away from the area off towards another part of the island after having lost sight of what had angered it. The two of them then met up with the other children and things proceeded just like we all know they do except for asking if anyone had seen Richard, the American kid. It was at this point that the group saw a small Digimon being chased by the same Kuwagamon they had just escaped from. But as they saw the bug Digimon coming, they also saw two small figures clinging to its back for dear life. One was most definitely a human child like themselves, and the other appeared to be another small Digimon. These two were of course none other than Richard and Babydmon who had hitched a ride on the back of the Kuwagamon after it had been chased off by a rather angry Elecmon who kept it away from his charges. The Kuwagamon had been looking for an easy meal, but it wasn’t going to get one thanks to the guardian of the village. As for how Richard and Babydmon ended up getting on Kuwagamon’s back, well that was an exciting thing in and of itself. You see when Richard and Babydmon had rushed towards the source of the noise, they had gotten there in time to see the big red bug pick up and fly off with the small purple foxy Digimon. Richard was able to recognize it as the Digimon who had knocked him out earlier albeit in a different form. He didn’t know how it had changed, but he figured it was something similar to the small Digimon from earlier changing into its new form. They had watched the bug Digimon fly off into the distance and then out of sight but figured they couldn’t do anything to aid the poor small creature that had been carried off. This led the small Babydmon to end up depressed and sad that he couldn’t help out. That was until Richard's second Digivice started glowing brightly, and a beam of purple light engulfed them, depositing them on the same bug Digimon back. The shock that something had landed on its back caused Kuwagamon to drop its meal. Angered by losing its food, the insect Digimon thrashed around inadvertently starting the sequence of events that led to our heroes in the predicament they were in. The Kuwagamon screeched in anger as it flew towards the kids while trying to get whatever was clinging to its back off. The two had been hanging on since the bug got back to the Primary village and then been chased off by the Elecmon who had spotted it. They were lucky that Elecmon’s lightning attack had only hit the front of the Digimon and hadn’t been conductive enough to engulf the whole Digimon. So they were okay for the most part. But both Richard and Babydmon wanted off. The destined children all ran away from the angry Digimon while one of them quickly picked up the small injured purple Digimon. They ran as fast and far as they could away from the upset bug as their partners hit it with their attacks albeit carefully, so they didn’t hit the figures on its back. Finally, the Kuwagamon ended up chasing them to the edge of the cliff we all know of and landed on the ground before vigorously shaking itself and dislodging Richard and Babydmon. They were sent flying to land on the ground and skidded to a stop by the other children. Richard winced in pain as he slowly uncurled himself off the ground while poor Babydmon laid on the ground unconscious. He looked up at the other kids and quickly nodded to them before turning to face the big red bug while the small purple Digimon struggled out of Mimi’s arms. It landed on the ground and moved up with the other Digimon growling at the monster. “I have had enough of you chasing me around and then tormenting these humans.” The purple Digimon shouted, but like before a subtle glow formed around Richard’s advanced digivice. The other in-training form Digimon moved up by the purple Digimon and replied in the affirmative, “Yeah. We won’t let you hurt our partners. Come on everybody let’s go” They all charged at the bug and ended up using their attacks again, but all it took was one swipe of the bug’s claw to knock them all back injured and almost out of energy again. Except for the purple Digimon, who managed to avoid the claw swipe, and kept peppering it with machine gun bursts of light from the stub on its forehead. Sadly it's assault too was ended, but instead of landing next to the others, it was almost knocked off the cliff, only thanks to the quick reaction of Richard that its fall was prevented. Richard quickly pulled the purple Digimon away from the edge before setting it down again. He looked it over with concern, “Are you okay? It doesn’t look like you’ll be able to fight anymore. You should rest. We’ll figure out some way to take care of it.” Twilight shook her head and resumed the stance with the other Digimon, “No. If I don’t stand up for my friends, then I wouldn’t even be worthy of the title of Princess of Friendship.” Unnoticed by all but one, all the Digivices started glowing as a hard screeching was heard, though it sounds more like a ringing than a yell. A black storm cloud formed overhead before beams of light fell on each of the main DigiDestined Digimon partners. Sampson felt his advanced digivice glowing and picked the glowing thing up before his hand was covered in some digital glow. He frowned at it for a few seconds before he followed his instincts and slammed his fist to the top of the digivice while calling out, “Digisoul Charge!” A beam of light shot forth from the digivice and up into the air to connect with the black storm before another beam of light came down and engulfed the purple Digimon in a beam of light as well. Sampson didn’t know what she had meant by Princess of Friendship, but he knew it was important. Thus the epic Digimon theme song we all know started to play as each of the Digimon began to change and Digivolve. First up was none other than Koromon who circled as the data entered his body, “Koromon Digivolve too…..Agumon” and this was of course preceded by the others. “Tsunomon Digivolve too…...Gabumon!” The now wolfish Digimon said as he appeared in a flash of light. “Tanemon Digivolve too…….Palmon!” The poison vine Digimon said as she splayed her arms. “Bukamon Digivolve too…….Gomamon!” The seal Digimon said as he appeared with a determined expression. “Tokomon Digivolve too……..Patamon!” The small orange Digimon replied as it appeared in a flash of light. “Montimon Digivolve too……..Tentomon!” The now small red bug Digimon proudly said as he appeared. “Yokomon Digivolve too……...Biyomon!” The pink bird Digimon declared as she appeared looking quite fierce. “I don’t know know what you expected when you chose to pick on those weaker than yourself, but I’ll make sure you regret it,” Twilight shouted as the beam of light engulfed her. The instant it did, something unbelievable happened, the single beam turned into six, all colors of the rainbow. As if by instinct, Twilight shouted “Twilight Harmonize to…..” with that all six beams converged, evolving Twilight. “Salamon!” And with that Twilight Digivolved into Gatomon’s rookie form, somehow wholly bypassing standard evolution lines to end up as this holy Digimon. But instead of the usual white fur that a salmon has, she was of course purple. Her wings had disappeared, but her horn was longer now and no longer a stub. She was also floating in an intense purple glow while her eyes were a bright white. All eight Digimon then charged forwards towards the bug Digimon with the other seven firing off their main signature attacks one after another which knocked it back somewhat. Then it was Twilight’s turn to fire off her own. “Sledge Crash!” She shouted, though instead of the normal attack, Twilight formed an impenetrable shell around herself and flung herself right into the Kuwagamon’s face. The Kuwagamon moved back once more as it screeched in pain and irritation. It flailed its limbs wildly as it rolled around without direction. Agumon looked at the others and nodded, “All together now! Pepper Breath!” Twilight had already cried out, “Sledge Crash!” Once again as an impenetrable shell formed around her yet as she sped towards the Kuwagamon. “Spiral Twister!” Biyomon shouted as her attack charged up. “Super Shocker!” Tentomon cried as electricity moved away from him to knock up behind Twilight while the Pepper Breath and Spiral Twister did as well. All the Digimon’ attacks knocked into her shell as she was propelled towards the Kuwagamon. “Blue Blaster!” Gabumon cried as he fired his blue breath attack. “Boom Bubble! Pah!” Patamon cried while floating in the air. He inflated his body and then let out the explosive blast of wind towards Twilight. Gomamon charged up his attack which was for some reason a couple of fish that knocked up behind Twilight as well propelling her forwards some more. Palmon moved her arms outwards as she called out, “Poison Ivy!” And her vines whipped out of her hands and lashed the back of Twilight’s shell launching her forwards with even more power and speed. Twilight flew through the air with elements surrounding her shield and moving at high speed with a lot of power behind her. She slammed right into the Kuwagamon, denting its exoskeleton on its stomach before she bounced back and off. The Kuwagamon’s screeching increased for a moment before cutting off as the wind was knocked out of it. It fell to its back wheezing for a moment and in pain from the attacks. The children all cheered as they saw the Kuwagamon down on the ground thinking that it was out for the count. Their Digimon rushed to them, and they cheered as they hugged their Digimon and put their hands in the air in victory. The Babydmon had finally come back around and was now floating quietly and nervously near Richard who looked at it curiously for a moment before turning back to Twilight who had come back over to him, “Nice job. You sure packed a punch when you slammed into him. I think he’s down for the count, but I do have to ask, What kind of creature are you?” Richard asked, as even the other Digimon were curious; Even Tentomon, The digital encyclopedia, was confused. While the Digimon looked for all intents and purposes like a Salomon, and before that a Kyromon, Tentomon had never seen any Digimon Jump Digivolution like that. Also, she didn’t Digivolve the same way. So many questions were rattling around Tentomon head that by the time he noticed that the Kuwagamon had gotten back up, it was already too late, as the Bug Digimon had already cut the cliff face away from the rest of the land. All of the children hurtled down towards the raging river below screaming, Believing they were all going to drown and die. And the angry Kuwagamon was falling right behind them with its significant form looming above them. And so the children plunged towards the river below. Author's Note Hey there everyone. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. The prologue is finally over. You'll see that we keep connected with the main canon story while changing it to make things a bit different. So I hope you like what happened with Twilight. Comment below and tell me what you thought of it. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Birth of Greymon Part 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Birth of Greymon Part 1 Digimon: Digital Ponies Chapter 1: Birth of Greymon Part 1 When we last left off our destined children had been falling towards their doom to the river below after defeating the bug Digimon known as Kuwagamon. So shall we see how their fate turned out? The children fell towards the river below as the rock crumbled underneath them. As the children fell, the flying Digimon Tentomon, Biyomon, and Patamon tried to save their partners by grabbing hold of them and trying to fly back up with them. Sadly their strength gave out just a small amount of time later. Mimi’s partner Palmon attempted to use her ivy to grab hold of a piece of rock to stabilize them and stop their fall but after her vines went taught the foundation gave out as another large section broke off and they continued to plummet down to the river. Babydmon had also tried to help out Richard by grabbing hold of the back of his jacket with his wispy tail and flapping his little wings as hard as possible. Sadly that didn’t really work as his tail was more like air and so his grip gave out a few seconds later as he exhausted himself for no reason. Twilight was already tired as her form glowed yellow while falling. She ended up changing back into Kyaromon as she fell towards the river as well. Thankfully the seal Digimon, known as Gomamon, was able to act quickly enough as he called out upon splashing into the river. “Fishnet!” as he said that a whole bunch of colorful fish that came together, forming under those in the river as a raft, while those still falling landed safely on it. Tai was on his back next to Agumon as he said in a dazed voice, “Wow this is some ride.” They heard the roaring above them as the Kuwagamon fell as well and Matt pointed upwards as it continued falling and shouted, “Hey. Lookout.” And frantic Gomamon looked at the fishes and shouted, “Go!” So the fish started to move faster to get out of the way of where the Kuwagamon was going to land. The Kuwagamon and the rest of the cliff hit the water, and a massive wave threatened to overtake the raft and the group on it. The wave managed to flow underneath them, but the fish raft was caught up on the upswell so that the children and their partners were riding it on top of the wave. They had to hold on for dear life as they were pushed along at high speed by the water underneath them. Bits of rock flowing together in the stream alongside them as they closed their eyes. The water finally pushed them onto a bank and splashed up against the trees there. Thankfully the clearing they landed in was big enough to hold them all while they gained their bearings. Unfortunately for the Kuwagamon, he was washed along the river without a chance to pull himself out. And so he has swept on ahead of the children and out of sight. Fortunately for the bug Digimon, he was able to later pull himself out upon reaching the stream. But he decided to leave the kids alone for the time being as he didn’t want to be humiliated by them again. And so after pulling himself out, he went flying off to a different part of the island hoping to have better luck there. After a bit of time recovering, Mat felt the need to speak up and act all cool and collected as he said,”I knew we would be alright. I wasn’t worried.” Joe was down on all fours with his glasses askew on his face and eyes closed. He asked in a relieved voice, “What was that thing? A floating fish market?” “Lucky for us those fish were having a school reunion, haha,” Gomamon said with a laugh as he moved over to Joe. Seeing the confusion on his face, Gomamon couldn’t keep his joke up any longer and simply replied, “I’m kidding. Those fish are good friends of mine, and I just asked them for a lift.” Joe, having just sat back up and pushed his glasses back on his face, replied. “A-and all these years I thought I was allergic to seafood, thank you,” he said, before the realization that Bukamon was different. “Um, I guess it’s not Bukamon?” he asked. The seal Digimon grinned as a flashback of his Digivolution played in Joe’s head, and he replied, “Gomamon now.” He wagged his tail happily as he kept the grin in place on his face. Joe repeated his name firmly to make sure he had it right, “Gomamon.” T.K. was over by his own partner and leaned forwards as he asked, “And I guess you're not Tokomon anymore?” Patamon nodded as his ears flapped and he responded,”uh-uh. Now I’m Patamon.” Agumon and Tai both got to them as Agumon spoke happily, “It's all because we digivolved.” Tai was puzzled as he replied, “I don’t think that word is in my dictionary.” Izzy got to his feet as Tentomon hovered in the air by him. Izzy looked curious as he said in a tone of awe, “So digivolving is what happens when they advance to the next level and become more powerful than before.” Tentomon moved forwards as he confirmed it, “Right. All of us digivolved. I want from Motomon to Tentomon.” he was pointing one of his small taloned legs at Izzy as he said this. Sora looked down at her partner with curiosity as well while Biyomon spoke up while putting a wing claw up to her beak. “I digivolved from Yokomon to Biyomon.” Gabumon started to speak as Matt looked down at him as well, “First I was Tsunomon, then Gabumon.” Mimi was kneeling down near Palmon as Palmon gestured to herself, “And I went from Tanemon to Palmon.” Agumon lifted a claw and pointed at himself as well, “And me. I was Koromon. I digivolved to Agumon.” Tai put his arms and hands behind his head as he replied, “Mmmmhmmm. When you digivolved, you certainly got way bigger. Does this mean your something different now? Or are you still Digimon?” Agumon smiled as he replied, “Digimon! But I needed your help, Tai.” Richard watched the exchanges with interest as he looked down at the purple Digimon who had resumed her form from before. He frowned as he looked down at the unconscious Digimon. “Hmm. The question is why did she end up going back to her previous form instead of staying in her new one? I can’t ask her right now cause she’s unconscious.” He looked over at the softly floating Babydmon and said, “And you didn’t digivolve with the others because you were unconscious yourself. What’s your name anyway?” Babydmon smiled as it floated around him, “My names Babydmon. But you can just call me Shadow cause I’m as dark as shadows. It’s a nickname I gave myself because I didn’t look like other Digimon. I looked more like a bad Digimon to others than a good one. So I learned to hide and watch in the shadows.” He said, clarifying what he meant to Richard. “But I don’t know what kind of Digimon she is, as no Digimon, ever, has jumped lines before.” Richard frowned as he listened and kept his sunglasses on his face to hide his eyes. He finally asked after a moment, “Lines? Are you saying that you Digimon each has some sort of evolutionary line that you go through?” Shadow nodded with a smile as he floated around, “That’s right! Each of us has our own line that we follow as we digivolve.” He then looked at the unconscious Digimon, “But she did something completely different by jumping from her own evolutionary line to a completely different one. That’s something that’s never been done before and breaks the natural order of things.” Richard nodded as he continued to look down at her, “Maybe she’s somehow different from the standard Digimon. She did say something about being a ‘Princess of Friendship’ while you were out. Have you ever heard of something like that before?” Shadow shook his head as he floated closer to Richard and replied in confusion, “Uh no. Never heard of anything like that before. I mean there are Digimon out there that are princesses I’m sure, but I’ve never heard of one that was a princess of friendship.” He went silent as he looked upon the purple Digimon. Richard went silent as well as he looked at her as well, “I hope that she wakes up soon.” Richard went back to listening to the exchanges. Tai was continuing in a questioning tone, “Me? For what?” Agumon replied with a factual tone, “You see. Digivolving is a complicated process. To be successful, I had to share your energy.” Tai tilted his head as his tone went to disbelief, “Really?” Sora bent down towards Biyomon with her hands on her knees as she addressed Biyomon, “I guess you don’t run on batteries.” Biyomon turned to Sora as she looked up at her human partner as she smiled, “Sure don’t!” Izzy turned to Tentomon with his curiosity in his voice, “But how do you access my energy?” Tentomon laughed a bit, “hehe. Not even we know everything.” He continued to hover in the air in front of his partner. Palmon did a twirl in front of Mimi as she happily said, “Thanks for my magical power.” Mimi placed a hand under her chin as she replied, “The whole thing makes my head spiny.” T.K. moved around his partner with his arms behind his head as he said in wonder, “I helped you change? That is so cool!” Patamon had an unsure look on his face as he replied, “Yeah. Sure is!” Joe now had his arms crossed as he looked away, “Mom warned me about strangers!” His eyes were closed as he looked stern. Gomamon looked hurt as he replied, “I’m not a stranger Joe. I’m your friend for life!” Joe folded his arms more tightly as he bowed his head a bit, “Hmmm.” He made the noise in a disapproving tone. Mat turned and to the others as he said, “Ok come on. What are we going to do?” The others looked around unsure until Joe spoke up, “If only there were a payphone nearby. We could call the police or the fire department or my mother!” Tai replied with disbelief in his voice, “But we don’t even know where we are!” And looked up into the air with the others as Sora spoke up next. They were all looking up at the mountain in the middle of the island as she said, “We know where we started. Up there on that mountain.” Matt proposed, “I say we forget about going back and explore around here!” Joe stood resolute as he replied, “I’m not exploring anywhere. I say we stay right where we are!” Matt replied with sarcasm, “Yeah. Let’s wait for that giant bug to come get us. We need to find a road leading someplace to get away from here!” Izzy turned to him with a more neutral expression but replied affirmative, “Matt’s right. But without a compass, we don’t even know which way is north.” Tentomon spoke up almost immediately causing Izzy to turn to him as he looked down, “Wait I do!” Izzy replied, “Well which way is it?” Tentomon started to move around as he began to point, “Its the opposite of south.” And so his talon just looked in a random direction. Izzy let out a sigh of disbelief as he closed his eyes and shook his head. Joe was scowling as he continued to stand where he was and complained, “I shouldn’t wear these pants. They ride up on me when I do a lot of walking.” Sora put a hand to her hip as she said, “You know if we could get back to where we were before we might at least find some clue as to why we’re here in this place.” Mimi looked up at Sora in despair a bit, “Wait! Are there more monsters around like that big flying beetle?” Palmon spoke up before Sora could, “Yes indeed.” And Mimi responded in disgust, “Ick.” Matt continued to play cool as he looked out over the area, “Those monsters don’t scare me.” Tai asked Agumon, “Are there humans? Agumon looked up at him questioningly, “Humans? Others like you?” Tai nodded his head and made an affirmative noise as Agumon continued factually, “You’re the first ever! There’s never been anything but Digimon.” Tai replied factually as well, “So, ok, You’re all Digimon.” He turned to look at some of the trees as he continued, “But what about these monsters? They’re all Digimon too?” Sora sighed as she replied, “It's creepy and dangerous. And what happens when it gets dark?” Matt frowned, “Whoever says it gets dark here?” Izzy folded his arms as he replied, “That phenomenon would be unnatural!” Joe worriedly replied, “You call this natural?” Tai looked at the rest of the group as he replied, “Well we’re not going to find out anything by sitting around here.” And with that, he started to walk off as he began to grin. Matt asked in frustration, “Where do you think you’re going?” Tai replied happily, “Upon that cliff, that’s where I saw the ocean.” Mat replied in confusion, “The ocean?” “Yup,” Tai replied as he looked back, “There might be a boat or something.” And then continued to walk on down along a trail. Matt said in disbelief, “Huh. Let’s water ski home.” Sora looked at him with a frown, “Ha. Funny.” Joe looked resolute as he closed his eyes and held his fist close to himself, “At a time like this I think we’d be far better of to just find a cave and hide. We keep our eyes open and when a camp counselor comes…” He was cut off as Gomamon called out, “Hey Joe everyone’s leaving us.” He then started off after the others. Joe ran after the group with hand raised, “Wait for me. Richard didn’t want to be left behind as well, so he carefully picked up the unconscious purple Digimon and followed along behind Joe to catch up with the group. Shadow the Babydmon floated alongside him as he commented, “Everyone in this group sure likes to speculate and complain. That Joe fellow seems to be such a worrywart. I mean, is there anything he ‘doesn’t complain about?” Shadow giggled at the comment before leaving the clearing along with the other, barely noticing a small purple shard in the sand. He swooped down to it as he proclaimed, “Ooo a shiny gem. I like it.” He grabbed it in his mouth before fluttering off after Richard happily. He landed on Richard’s shoulder with the shard held in his mouth as he waved a wing to get Richard’s attention. Looking over, Richard saw the strange gem before a little tug-of-war broke out as he tried to get Shadow to let go of it. When he finally did, it slipped out of his hand and landed on the still unconscious Digimon. To the shock of both, the shard seemed to merge with the Digimon, digivolving her back to the Kudamon Richard remembered seeing right before he was knocked out. Shadow blinked in surprise before shaking his head roughly, “What the heck is going on? She shouldn’t be able to digivolve that easily. And now I don’t have my shiny gem.” He said this last part in a disappointed tone. “Well, at least she’s no longer an in-training like me.” He floated closer to to the now gently sleeping Digimon unaware that she would be able to lash out and pull him close. He was caught off guard however when the sleeping Digimon latched onto him and pulled him into her sleeping embrace, causing a series of unfortunate squeaks to erupt from Shadow. Richard just burst out laughing as he continued to walk along with the rest of the group. The other children had noticed the movement and started laughing as well as the purple Digimon proceeded to make the Babydmon squeak by gently squeezing him in her sleep. Shadow, on the other hand, was somewhat indignant about it as between squeals he said, “It's….not….funny. Stop….laughing!” Richard continued laughing as he said, “Haha. It seems that she’s found her new squeaky plush toy. You’re never going to live this down Shadow.” Shadow was about to squeeze out of the Digimon grip when he noticed something none of the others, nor Richard had; tears. In a soft voice, the only shadow heard, he could make out just one word, “Spike.” This caused him to freeze and think for a moment before just allowing himself to be cuddled and squeezed by the silently crying Digimon. He sighed to himself before glaring at the others who were still laughing, “I’ll….get...you...all….for….this!” Matt laughed a bit as he said, “Nice try Babydmon, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. You're stuck there for now.” Tai and Agumon laughed as well before Agumon replied, “It’s not that bad Babydmon. It could be worse.” Sora finally spoke up after calming down, “So Richard. What brought you all the way to Japan anyway? Not that it’s not great and all but I’m curious as to why.” “Well, my dad landed a job at one of the leading game companies in Tokyo and saved up money for my mom and me to have summer vacation over here,” Richard replied, while silently glad that Shadow’s squeaking finally stopped for a moment. Sora blinked for a moment as she smiled, “Cool.” Tai asked the next question, “What game company does he work at? Is it that Sony company?” Richard just smiled a little smugly when he replied, “Nope, Nintendo. Lead designer.” Tai’s jaw dropped, “Nintendo. No way! That company’s hard to get into. That’s awesome!” The others nodded in agreement before Izzy broke the silence with his own question, “So where did you appear when we got here? We noticed you weren’t with the rest of us. And why do you have two partners instead of one like us?” “Both questions I don’t know the answer to, but the first at least I can somewhat answer thanks to what Babydmon has told me. Apparently, I woke up near what he called the Primary Village. He said it was where all new Digimon get their start,” Richard said, before holding up the strange digivice, “As for the other Digimon partner, I don’t know, but my instincts are telling me that she is the key to… something.” Izzy nodded his head as he replied inquisitively, “I see. But how did you end up on the back of that Kuwagamon? Surely you didn’t just jump on its back while you were in the first village.” This time it was the Babydmon that spoke, “See that’s the thing, we didn’t,” upon seeing the confused looks the others were giving him Shadow clarified. “What I mean to say is that we tried to stop it from taking this Digimon,” he said pointing to Twilight, “But by then we were too late. After it was out of sight, however, That second digivice lit up, and somehow we found ourselves on the Kuwgamon’s back.” Izzy frowned in thought, “Hmm. The digivice must be linked to your partner Digimon in some way. A way that will let you get to your partner if she’s in trouble and you need to save her.” Tai responded, “Seems cool to me. That just means you can protect your partner if she’s in trouble and she can’t protect you.” They all nodded in response to this and fell back into silence as Richard started to just listen to the others talk again. As the group walked along the trail on the riverbank, Gomamon swam next to the shore in the river itself as he kept up with them. His tail was showing up above the water as he smiled. Sora finally spoke up again, “These trees are beautiful.” Izzy responded more happily, “Yeah they’re really different, and I just thought they were subtropical.” Joe walked along with his hands on the straps of his bag, “Whatever they are, they’re aggravating my hay fever.” Mat spoke up next, “Hey Joe. Is there anything you don’t complain about?” He was a bit irritated with Joe’s constant complaining. Izzy spoke to himself, “Digital Monsters. Who came up with that name anyway?” Tentomon overheard and replied, “Just call us Digimon. We like that!” Izzy turned to look at him, “I only ask because your composition isn’t at all machine-like.” Tentomon replied a bit peeved, “Oh really?” And leaned forwards as he sparked his electricity between his wings. Izzy put his arms and hands up to his face as he said, “Hey! Watch it!” he exclaimed. T.K. smiled at his partner as he asked, “So Patamon, can you really fly?” Patamon smiled as he jumped into the air, “Of course.” He flapped the wings on his head with an effort and started flying. T.K. looked at him happily, “That’s cool. But you’re going the wrong way.” For indeed Patamon was moving backward rather than forwards. Biyomon bragged as she flapped her wings in the air, “I’m faster than that. Watch!” And tried to fly faster than Patmon but ended up going the same pace and falling behind the others as Sora replied questioningly, “Wouldn’t be faster just to walk?” Mimi walked alongside Palmon as she asked her partner, “Palmon, I’ve been meaning to ask. Who does your hair?” Palmon replied happily, “It’s natural. I wake up in the morning like this.” Mimi smiled herself happily as she put her hands together, “Wow. Maybe you could let me work with it.” Palmon looked up at her with her toothy smile, “Do you think you put too much emphasis on appearance?” Mimi looked confused as she replied, “Well. Honestly, I’ve never really thought about it.” Palmon looked embarrassed as her face lit up red a bit, “Honestly, I kind of like my hair the way it is. Tai walked along with his head down a bit as he talked to Agumon, “Once I get back this is going to make one great story. Yup, but of course not a single soul will ever believe me.” Agumon looked up at him with a smile and nodded. Izzy started speaking irritatedly, “That Kuwagamon back there. He was huge.” Tentomon replied, “And he’s not the only one.” Gabumon was the next to speak up as they walked along as he sniffed the air with his snout, “Aah. Nothing like the ocean.” Gomamon started laughing happily, “Haha. Everybody in the water!” T.K. grinned as the neared the ocean, “Hey let’s build a giant sandcastle.” And of course, Mimi complained about it, “Oh and I forgot my bathing suit.” And that’s when Matt told the others, “Wait. Everybody listen.” And that’s when in the distance they heard the sound of phones ringing. “What is that?” Tai replied in wonder, “A phone.” Sora looked in disbelief, “Either that or we’re all hearing things.” And so the group rushed off towards the ocean even as Babydmon said, “Whatever it is. I hope we can get there soon. I don’t know how much more of this squeezing I can take!” For once again the purple Digimon was squeezing him as she held him close making him squeak like crazy. Only this time she was doing it more happily than anything else. And so our group of destined children ran off towards the beach to see what they could find. Author's Note Hey everyone. I hope you liked this part of the first chapter. It took a lot for us to do but it was worth it. We had fun adding in our own content. Sorry that there's now battles in this part but that's just the way things work. Here we at least saw some background for Richard and some funny moments. So Enjoy everyone. And comment below on what you liked. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Birth of Greymon: Part 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Birth of Greymon: Part 2 Digimon: Digital Ponies Chapter 1: Birth of Greymon: Part 2 The kids were heading towards the beach by the ocean ahead of them on the trail as the phones in the distance kept on ringing. Poor Babydmon was still being squeezed by the still unconscious purple Digimon held in Richard’s arms. The kids all hustled to the beach until they had rounded the corner and off in the distance they saw five phone booths with one of them ringing, which was the closest one to them. As the group ran towards the phone booths, Joe spoke up with a shout, “I told you! All we needed was a phone. We’re saved!” The group panted for air as they ran for the booths. They finally reached the phone booths as they slowed down except for Tai and Agumon who sped to the first phone booth. Tai ran towards the phone booth and moved aside the glass door that kept it closed. As he did so the phone just stopped ringing which caused Agumon to ask in curiosity, “Why did it stop ringing Tai?” Tai looked at the phone confused as he said, “A Wrong number?” He turned to the rest of the group with that look of confusion on his face. Sora frowned as she said, “Well that’s bizarre.” She folded her arms as she looked at the rest of the children. Izzy spoke up in his curious way, “My theory is aliens. They’ve set these phone booths out as a trap.” Matt promptly ignored Izzy’s theory as he added his own opinion, “If we can find a place that delivers let’s order pizza.” Mimi spoke up in agreement with this idea as she happily said, “Whatever you get, no anchovies for me!” “I’d rather have a supreme,” Richard said, drooling a bit; and even though he couldn’t see it, so did Shadow. Sora shook her head at them as she tried to get them back on track, “The question is what are these doing here at the beach?” Joe had a fist at chest level as he sternly replied, “So people can call their parents for a ride home!” Gomamon asked both confused and curious, “Parents? What exactly is a parents?” Joe just looked back at him with a deadpan neutral expression. Joe turned back to the rest of the group with an expression that said he was done with everything at the moment even as he said, “That’s it! I’m out of here.” Tai stood by the phone booth with a hand placed on the glass sliding door and his other hand out towards the rest of the group. He asked calmly, “Does anybody have any loose change?” Izzy looked questioningly at Tai as he asked, “Why?” Tai continued to reply calmly, “Obviously I’m going to make a phone call to get some help.” Izzy gasped in understanding as he reached towards a pocket, “Ah! You can use my phone card. The aliens can bill me! Here.” He handed the phone card over to Tai who took it from him gently while giving him a bizarre look before shaking his head and stepping into the phone booth. T.K. looked at them all unsurely as he said, “Maybe there’s a quarter in one of the slots.” And he started to move to one of the other phone booths. Mimi wasn’t one to be left out as she said out loud to no one in particular. “I’m calling Daddy,” she said as she ran towards one of the other unoccupied phone booths. As the other kids ran to their respective booths, Richard stayed behind a bit and looked down at his Digimon. “I hope I can get a hold of mom,” he thought as he entered the furthest booth. Izzy moved past Tai’s booth while saying, “I’m going to hook up to the internet.” Tai was typing in a number at the moment that Izzy walked by him. Matt and Sora both walked past him as well. Matt seemed to have lost his cool a bit as he walked towards a phone booth as well, “I’m going to call collect.” Sora was only a little slower than him at walking as she said at the same time as him, “Dibs on booth four.” Joe also didn’t want to be left out as he walked after them, “Hey guys. Wait for me. Come on.” His bag was bouncing against his side as he tried to keep up with them. Tai finished punching in the number and held the phone up to his ear and mouth in cupped hands. The phone started to ring as he looked at the main green machine in the booth. He had dialed his home phone and began to speak, “Hello? Hey, Mom, it’s me!” But the voice at the other end wasn’t his mother at all. It was a female voice that sounded like it came from a synthesizer or a digital computer. It replied to him smoothly, “At the tone, the time will be 49 miles an hour; and ninety seconds.” Tai was bewildered as he held the phone with both hands and his expression changed to one of confusion. Agumon just looked straight up at him with a frown wondering what was going on. Tai held the phone away from his face as he said in dismay, “Something’s wrong or Mom’s flipped.” Each of the other children in the phone booths each also got a strange response. Mimi’s reaction was, “Tomorrow’s forecast calls for clear skies with occasional ice cream.” Mimi’s puzzled question was, “What do you wear for that?” Matt and T.K. looked at the phone in the third booth with disappointment and confusion as another female voice said, “This number only exists in your imagination. Please hang up and don’t call back.” Matt’s bewildered response was, “What planet did I dial?” Izzy just looked down at his phone with bewilderment yet somewhat smugly as he said, “I’m telling you, it's a twisted alien joke.” Tentomon’s buzzed up into the air as he floated in front of Izzy and the pointed at one of the other phone booths as he replied, “Why don’t you try that one over there?” Biyomon looked up at Tentomon with a shrug as she said, “I don’t think this one’s any better.” Sora was holding the phone up to the side of her head as she listened to the buggy, glitched voice tell her, “No phones are working in your service area. Please hang up and have a nice day.” Sora hung the phone up with a huff as she turned around to face away from it with folded arms. Tai walked on over to her to check on her and see if she had it any better than he did even as she humphed, “huh.” Tai looked at her with concern as he asked, “Any luck?” Sora scowled as she looked at the ground, “No!” Tai frown as he continued with concern, “Huh weird. I’ve got a strange feeling about this.” They moved away from the phone booths talking about it even as they passed Richard who had tried to call his mother. Babydmon was floating in the air around him even as Twilight lay on the ground sleeping at his feet. “Mom?” Richard said as a small tone rung from his booth. “At the time, the future is unclear; please try again.” Richard sighed as the third number he tried was another bust. After a little bit longer, he finally left the booth in defeat. Joe meanwhile was still in the last booth frantically trying to get a number working. When one didn’t work, he would move to the next as he said, “Maybe this one.” One one of them he sighed in disappointment as the voice said, “To leave a message press 1. To leave a fingerprint press 2. 15 dollars for the next 3 minutes.” He sighed but ignored it as he reached for the machine again, “Okay. Next one.” Tai was sitting on the ground with his legs outstretched as he watched Joe messing around in his phone booth. Agumon was beside Tai and looked at Joe and Gomamon pityingly. In fact, everyone was watching Joe frantically try to get a number that worked. Finally, Izzy spoke up with curiosity, ‘Very curious. Does Joe always behave like this?” Tai sighed as he continued to watch Joe, “Every single day.” He went silent after that as he just watched with pity. Matt spoke right after Tai exasperated, “No matter what number or how many times he dials those phones aren’t going to work.” Tai started to get up as he told everybody, “Well I’m going to keep searching for a boat or something.” Mat scowled at him as he said, “Hey wait a minute. Even though we can’t call out of here, there’s still a chance that somebody will be able to call us.” Tai turned to him with a raised eyebrow in disbelief as he replied, “It's a waste of time doing nothing but sitting here.” Matt put both hands in his pockets as he glared back at Tai. He argumentatively said, “I’m going to stay here for a little while and see if anyone calls. Besides, everyone could use a little rest.” Tai looked at the rest of the group after turning away from Matt. Mimi had her knees curled up to her head as T.K. was plopped on the ground exhausted. Their Digimon partners were next to them looking equally tired. Izzy looked at Tai as his stomach rumbled, “And I’m getting pretty hungry too.” Tai tilted his head a bit as he asked, “Do you know why? Because we haven’t eaten anything all day.” He pondered for a moment before saying more happily, “Okay everybody. Break time.” Sora was also sitting down with her knees more towards her chest, and Biyomon plopped down beside her. She looked up at the other three in relief as she asked, “Does anybody else have any food? I think the only thing I have is…” And she trailed off as she reached for her pocket. Her hand closed around the digivice that was attached to the outside of it. She picked up where she left off, “Is that gadget that fell out of the sky at camp.” Tai reached to his waist and pulled his digivice off his belt as he said, “Man. I forgot all about those weird gizmos.” Mimi held the strap of her bag with both hands as she pulled it forwards. She looked over her shoulder at the back of the belt down near her purse where her digivice was. She spoke in a complaining tone, “If anyone has a pink one I’ll trade.” T.K. asked curiously, “What are they anyway?” Matt stood by his younger brother as he spoke his own opinion, “We wouldn’t have them if they weren’t important.” Izzy also looked down at his digivice curiously as he spoke his thoughts out loud, “If I could take mine apart….” And at that exact moment his stomach rumbled as he looked embarrassed, “Um that is after I get something to eat. I’m really famished.” Sora rooted around in the pink hip bag at her waist with both hands while Biyomon watched her silently like a hawk. Sora sighed as she said, “Well the only thing I’ve got is my emergency supplies. It's got a first aid kit, some bandages, and some medicine but that’s about all I got.” Izzy knelt down in the sand as he set his laptop down and opened it up even as he said, “And I’ve got my trusty laptop computer and a digital camera.” As an afterthought, he added, “Oh and I’ve got a small cellphone too.” He always kept his laptop in his green backpack when he wasn’t using it. The pack was actually underneath the computer so that it didn’t get any sand in it. He sighed as he looked down at his laptop and continued, “Of course not one of them’s worked since we got here.” Tai crouched down beside him as he replied in disbelief, “I can’t believe you dragged all that computer stuff to summer camp.” Izzy turned to him as he asked annoyed, “And what do you have?” Tai pointed his thumb at himself as he replied, “Uh. Let’s see.” He reached behind himself with a hand and into his pockets as he rooted around with it. He pulled an object out and held it up, “There’s my mini telescope.” Matt shook his head as he said, “Sorry. But I don’t have anything to eat either.” Tai looked at Richard, “Do you have anything Richard?” He hoped that maybe he’d have something to eat. Tai looked incredulous when he saw Richard eating a snickers before his stomach grumbled and what he saw wasn’t food but just the weird second device that Richard had. “I only have my cell phone, and detective novels,” Richard said as he pulled out a few objects. The was a cellphone, laptop, a few books, and a strange looking keychain that had a purple starburst on it. Seeing the keychain, Tai had to ask, “Why do you have a keychain with you?” Richard picked it up and blushed a bit when he saw it. “It was my mom’s idea. Said it was a good luck charm that she had when she was a kid, though strangely she also said that ‘when the world is at it bleakest, call on the twilight.’ she’s into a lot of superstitions,” Richard said as he put the stuff back in his bag before resuming his examination of the device. Tai sighed as he nodded, “A little wacky I have to say, but that still doesn’t help us overall.” T.K. finally spoke up beside Matt, “Hey look what I’ve got.” He stood up and set his backpack on the ground as he continued, “Check it out.” He flipped the top of his backpack up to show that it was stuffed full of all sorts of snacks and food. Mimi gasped, “Wow. Look at all those goodies. Why don’t you be a good little boy and share those treats with your sweet Mimi?” She asked, smiling happily as she gazed down at T.K. T.K. was smiling himself happily as he replied, “Ah You don’t have to be so nice Mimi. I’m happy to share. You’re the best.” He turned his head to the others as he asked, “Isn’t she cute?” Matt looked at him in disbelief and with a bit of a scowl as he replied, “Forget it.” Tai whispered to Izzy, “I’m so hungry that I could eat a horse.” Izzy sighed in reply, “I would settle for a small cow.” little did either of the two notice a small, sleeping Digimon's ears twitch at that. Sora smiled a bit as she shook her head and turned to Mimi, “Mimi what’ve you got in that big bag? and makeup?” Mimi looked up in thought for a few seconds, “uh. Well, let’s take a look.” She flipped off the top of the bag and rooted around in it before pulling objects out. She set various objects down onto the ground like a few makeup items, a set of camping silverware and a camping tin that served to hold food in it when it was cooked. Then she started talking, “Well here’s a compass and cooking fuel, flashlight, one of those knives with all the things and some other stuff.” All the kids gasped in wonder and amazement as they looked at her. Matt asked in disbelief, “Why didn’t you tell us you had a compass back when we needed one?” Mimi just smiled up at them as she replied happily, “I thought it’d be kinda fun to see how far we could get without one? And besides its broken.” Tai sighed, “Well so much for finding our way out of here.” Matt hummed in thought for a moment as he looked at the objects Mimi had placed on the ground. “Although, we could use the cooking fuel to make a signal fire.” Sora nodded, “That’s true. Or I guess we could barbecue some telephones.” Tai turned to the rest of them as he looked back at Joe, “Oh boy. Check out the genius. See he’s trying to call the telephone repairman cause the telephones don’t work. Problem is… Look!” He pointed at Joe’s bag which was gray with a big red cross stitched on the flap over the top of it. He gasped and said, “Joe’s got the emergency supplies.” Everyone gasped yet again in disbelief as Izzy turned to look, “What?! No way!” Tai called out hurriedly and loudly at Joe, “Joe, Hey Joe! Look you’ve got all the food.” Joe turned his head away from the phone while holding it as he replied, “Hey don’t you know it's rude to interrupt someone when they’re on the telephone?” Izzy protested, “But that bag….” Joe frowned, “This? I just bought it to give to Mimi. Today was her day to carry the bag.” Palmon finally spoke up beside Mimi, “I think he likes ya.” Mimi shook her head emphatically, “No way.” Joe stumbled on over to the group as he held the bag in both hands, “Ugh. Mimi, you have got to stop thinking of yourself and do something to help somebody else for once. Take a little responsibility!” Mimi whined at him, “But that bag’s to heavy for me.” Joe scowled, “Listen. You never hear me complaining.” Richard just rolled his eyes at Joe’s comment while holding back Shadow’s snickers. Tai came over to stop their arguing as he waved his hands. He said in a peaceful tone, “Guys, guys. The most important thing now is that we’ve got some food to eat. So let’s sit down and have some lunch.” Sora nodded her head along with Tai’s answer. Gomamon floated in the ocean water on his back happily as the others sat around in a circle on the sand. Joe knelt down above the ground as he said, “Alright let’s figure this out. There are eight people in the group times three days. Times three meals that come too….” He trailed off as he tried to figure out the problem. Izzy spoke up immediately, “72 meals.” Joe nodded as he looked at Izzy, “Alright so...split evenly between us we have um…” Izzy sighed as he replied, “Enough food for three days.” Joe responded immediately, “Right. Oh exactly. I guess you already knew that.” Sora spoke up with a valid point, “But you guys you forgot to add in the Digimon meaning we only have enough for about half an hour.” Joe scratched his head with a wince, “Oh right….” Gabumon smiled as he replied, “Not a problem at all. We Digimon hunt and forage for ourselves.” Everyone asked simultaneously, “You do?” Tentomon nodded, “No need to include us in your calculations.” Sora turned to her partner concerned, “You sure Biyomon?” Biyomon smiled, “Oh absolutely. We can do alright for ourselves.” Joe started smiling happily again as he looked at the others, “Ok. Now that that’s taken care of. Let’s go ahead and divide this between the eight people here.” Unknown to them all Tai was already off to the side with Agumon chomping away on some food as he grinned, “This is great. I could eat a dozen of these.” Agumon nodded his head as he ate some of the food himself. Joe turned to them with a scowl. “Just what do you think you’re doing?” He growled. Shadow the Babydmon looked at Tai and Agumon with a frown as he floated by his partner. He was drooling a bit and looked disappointed, “That’s just not fair,” he whined, before drifting over and battling Agumon for the piece of food in his claws. Tai turned to face Joe with a resigned look on his face as he said sarcastically, “I’m glad we never hear you complaining.” Joe growled, “You people make me crazy!” Richard was watching the scene with some amusement before he felt the strange Digimon start to stir. Twilight moaned as she felt herself return to the waking world, though was still a bit dazed thanks to the blow to the head. “Spike. Remind me never to have a cider drinking contest with Rainbow Dash again,” she said in a slur, before blinking her eyes and having the memories of the past twelve hours returning to her. “Oh. it wasn’t just a drunken fever dream,” she said with a little less cheer. Babydmon had finally wrestled the food away from Agumon and floated back over towards Richard and Twilight as he held the food in his mouth carefully with a smile. He came back over and set a bit of it down in front of Twilight and put a bit in Richard’s hand. The last bit he kept for himself to eat as he munched away at it. He was happy to have won the little fight and even more happy to see the strange Digimon was awake. He moved down to the ground as he waved a wing at her, “Hiya. I’m Shadow the Babydmon. Who are you?” Twilight was a little shocked that the creatures she had seen earlier were real, though she quickly overcame that. “I’m Twilight Sparkle…” Twilight trailed off as she once again saw the same paws that she had the first time, though thankfully for the rest of the group she didn’t start screaming again. “Why do I look like this?” she asked as she looked over her paws as if they were entirely new; which, in a way, is correct. Shadow blinked and frowned in confusion, “What are you talking about? Your a Digimon just like I am. Albeit a different kind but still a Digimon. And what kind of name is Twilight Sparkle? That doesn’t seem like a real Digimon name. You sure it isn’t Sparklemon or something like that?” he asked. What she said next, however, made him concerned. “Digimon? What’s a ‘Digimon?’ and why do you think I am one. Cause I know I’m not one,” she asked as her speech started getting faster and faster as questions poured out without a stopper. Shadow’s frown increased as he watched her speaking rapidly before shaking his head and finally spoke firmly, “Stop. All the quick questions are giving me a headache, and I can’t understand them. And you're a Digimon just like me. You should know that it stands for a Digital monster. And I think you’re one because you are one. You digivolve just like the rest of us or close to it anyway. You look like a mutated version of a Kudamon at the moment.” He finished calmly. Before Babydmon could get another answer from ‘Twilight; Gomamon out in the ocean tensed up as well as Twilight. A growling could be heard both under the water and above it as it sounded like someone gargling salt water. The kids were all unaware of it, but Biyomon turned her heat to look out towards the ocean as she had caught the tail end of the sound. She looked determined as she stood up and glared out at sea. Sora turned to look at her in concern as she asked, “Now what is it?” Biyomon replied firmly, “Trouble.” The kids all looked up in surprise and concern as they looked out towards the ocean. From under the sand in the beach itself, a massive spout of water sprung into the air. All the kids stood up in fear and surprise as they backed up. The waterspout moved and crashed into each of the phone booths, sending them flying. The kids ran away from the water spouts and flying phone booths while leaving their bags and food behind. They didn’t want to get hit and crushed after all. The water spot died down and disappeared. The kids ran for a little distance before stopping, and Tai asked, “What was that?” The phone booths hit the ground and crumbled into pieces as glass shattered. At the same time, a mound of sand started rising from the field. Finally, a giant spiked shell rose from the ground as the sand burst apart into a flurry. Tentomon hovered in the air near Izzy while saying, “Shellmon!” Izzy backed up as he looked scared and frantically asked, “What’s a Shellmon?” Tentomon replied just as frantically, “Something that gets mad for no reason.” The top of the shell, which had been spinning like a drill slowly, stopped and the main body of Shellmon appeared out from the shell. Its two front legs underneath its dinosaurian head which had a bunch of green squiggly tentacle hair on top for some reason. And boy did that thing look angry. It roared into the air as it finished pulling itself out of its shell. Joe complained once again as he watched the thing in fear, “Attacked by two digital monsters in the same day. And doesn’t Shellmon know I’m allergic to shellfish?” Joe turned around to the cliff and started to climb even as the Shellmon started pulling itself towards them with ground pounding steps. Its shell dragged behind it as Joe yelled, “Everyone up here.” The Shellmon lowered its head as it glared at them with its eyes and the waterspout shot out the top of its head from the green squiggly hair. It ran up against the rather small cliffs and slammed into Joe making him let go with a cry of pain and fear as he lost his grip and fell. Gomamon cried out in terror, “Joe!” before he got hit in the face with the water spout. The waterspout stopped for a moment as the Shellmon repositioned itself while glaring at them. Agumon growled, “Digimon attack!” The ones still up and able to move, nodded and followed along behind him. They all charged towards the Shellmon as Tai yelled, “Agumon, You show him!” Agumon’s mouth lit up with fire as he shouted, “Pepper Breath.” The fireball shot from his mouth towards the Shellmon. It slammed into the Shellmon’s chin making him flinch and turn his head from the impact. Gabumon was next as he yelled, “Blue Blaster!” The thin stream of blue flame was streaking from his mouth towards Shellmon. But sadly it died before it could do anything. Gabumon was just too tired to do anything. The same went for Biyomon who tried to use Spiral Twister only for it to short out and for Tentomon with his Super Shocker. Izzy asked in fear, “What’s happening to them?” Twilight was still too weak to help as she looked at the other Digimon battling the monster. And Shadow was too small and thin to help the other rookie Digimon fight it as well as he floated by his partner. Matt stammered, “They look like they’ve lost their powers.” The Shellmon lowered his head again, and the water spout started up again. It moved its head, and the waterspout hit the four Digimon as it moved its head. They cried out in pain as they were pushed away by the flat water. Tai cried out, “Agumon!” only to watch as Agumon got back up determinedly and headed towards the Shellmon again. Patamon tried to help out with Boom Bubble but it too failed, and he got whacked out of the air by one of Shellmon tentacle hair things. Palmon stood only a few feet away from the Shellmon as she raised her arms and tried to use Poison Ivy to fail and asked herself, “Huh. What happened?” Shellmon rammed its head sideways into her and sent her flying away. Agumon fired yet another Pepper Breath, and it had the same effect as the last one as it slammed into Shellmon’s face. Twilight and Shadow both were feeling better as they had eaten the bit of food that Shadow had brought over for them. Shadow wanted to protect his partner and was about ready to dash in regardless of being an in-training form. Tai cheered, “Go get him Agumon!” he was standing in front of the other kids looking determined as he saluted his partner on. Izzy was dismayed at the way Tentomon had been knocked out and looked back at the Shellmon as he asked, “Why is it only Agumon?” Tentomon stirred beside him hurting from the pain but also from hunger as he replied, “We’re just too hungry.” Izzy turned to him in confusion as he said, “Wha?” Matt was right beside his partner holding onto him as he said, “Gabumon.” Gabumon looked up at him weakly as he replied, “I just don’t have any strength.” Sora stood up holding her injured partner as the idea sparked in her head, “That’s it. Agumon’s the only one who had anything to eat besides Babydmon and that other Digimon partner of Richard’s.” Izzy frowned as it made sense, “I see.” He held Tentomon with his hands. Matt said in dismay, “Then the other Digimon don’t have enough strength left to fight except those three. And the other two still seem too tired to do much.” Tai turned to Agumon as he shouted, “Agumon, It looks like it's just you and me.” Agumon nodded back as he replied, “Then give me a diversion!” Tai ran towards the Shellmon shouting, “Hey Shellmon, Ugly, over here!” And he ran along the side of the Shellmon as it turned his head to track him and watch him. As this happened Shadow, the Babydmon moved in as fast as his tiny wings would carry him and flew above the Shellmon where he let out his small attack which was a little fireball that caused him to go flying backward. The Shellmon growled in annoyance at the tiny fireball that didn’t hurt him as he glared up at the minuscule Digimon. Sora cried out to the both of them, “No don’t!” As the Shellmon focused on both Babydmon and Tai, Agumon fired off another Pepper Breath attack. The fireball hit the Shellmon in the side of the face causing him to flinch in pain. Tai ran over to one of the shattered phone booths and picked up a metal pole even as Shadow fired another of his tiny fireballs as another distraction. Tai picked up the pole while saying, “This will work.” he said as he ran back over towards the Shellmon with the metal pole. He knocked the pole against the Shellmon’s actual shell as he emphasized each word with a jab, “How! Do! You! Like! That!” But after that the Shellmon finally got fed up with the constant distractions; its green tentacle hair grabbed hold of Tai and lifted him off the ground. Another strand of it had lashed out and knocked Babydmon out of the air to land in the dirt, rolling for a couple of feet before stopping with a groan of pain and his body shaking. Richard had just started running towards the Shellmon to help when he saw his partner go down and hurting badly. He yelled, “Babydmon no!” Agumon watched as his partner was caught and he yelled out, “Hang on Tai!” Shellmon was growling again as he swung his head around and lifted a massive foot which caused Agumon to start running away. Sadly he wasn’t fast enough, and the foot came crashing down on him and left only his head sticking out from under the paw. The Shellmon then fired the water spout from its head again and hit all the kids and Digimon in a line, minus Twilight who had been just a little lower than the stream of water. The waterspout knocked the kids onto the ground and further hurt the rookie Digimon who was beside them. Richard was slammed to the ground near the cliffs as Shadow was sent flying into the cliffs themselves making him let out a squeak of pain. He slid down the cliff side to the ground as his form shivered and blurred showing just how damaged he was. His data close to breaking apart from all the significant damage he’d taken. Tai watched what happened and yelled in pain and frustration, “Look out! He’s going to get everyone. And there’s nothing I can do,” He cried out in pain as he was squeezed harder. Agumon cried out, “Tai. No!” And suddenly Tai’s digivice started to glow brightly. When Twilight saw Babydmon slam into the cliff, while also seeing Richard get knocked out, something in her snapped. Izzy had been the closest to Richard as he saw the glow on the outside looking digivice. Agumon yelled out, “Digivolve!” And the digivice sent up a beam of light into the sky. It shot into the air and created the dark storm cloud only for the rainbow light to come down and envelop him and create a dark cloud around him that was filled with shining light as the stormcloud disappeared. Music started to play out of nowhere as the change happened. Digital data came down from over Agumon’s head and flowed down into him as he spun around quickly and said, “Agumon digivolve too…..” he finished spinning around quickly, and a new form took its place. One that was larger and looked more like an armored tyrannosaurus. “Greymon!” During the digivolution, Tai asked, “What’s going on?” When Twilight shouted “Harmonize!” in sync with Agumon, something happened. The rainbow lights, all six of them, merge into the same data stream the was digivolving Agumon. “Twilight Harmonize with…” with those words shouted, the rainbow merged data started to flow into Twilight, surrounding her in a bright glowing orb. When the orb burst a few seconds later, it was revealed that Twilight jumped digivolution lines yet again, though this time she jumped to a champion line. “GeoGreymon!” she shouted. The difference between her and regular Greymon is that she had far fewer stripes as there were two on each leg and three on her back. And four on her tail with two on the back of her neck and they were all colored pink. Further, she had a spike growing from either shoulder with pink tips and the stripes on the top of her bone covered head were purple colored. Other than that she was the same purple color as she had been before the digivolving. One other thing to note was the horns were curved a bit, with the center horn resembling what her horn looked like as a Kudamon, along with the tattered wings that looked like they couldn’t even kick up a breeze. In other words, Twilight’s wings looked a lot like Metal Greymon’s tattered wings which seemed rather odd on a champion level Digimon. After Agumon had finished digivolving into Greymon, his new form pushed Shellmon up and back which released Tai. Tai went flying and tumbled across the ground only to watch as Greymon roared in pleasure at his form. He was also surprised when he heard Twilight roar in just the same way, at precisely the same time; even more strangely, both of the two Digimon were moving in sync with each other, as if they were the same while also being separated. Tai watched the both of them in awe as he said, “Whoa. They did it again. Agumon’s now Greymon, and that purple Digimon is now GeoGreymon! And they seem to be moving in sync.” Greymon and Twilight both growled in pleasure and chuckled a bit as they faced the Shellmon who set himself back upright and glared at the both of them. Babydmon had finally managed to get back up and winced at his fizzing form. There was only one way, and he had to do it quickly as he looked back at his unconscious partner. He whispered, “Forgive me!” He turned to the sky and yelled, “Digivolve!” Richard’s regular digivice glowed as it sent up the white light which came back down on him as rainbow-colored light. He yelled, “Babydmon digivolve too…..” He swirled around in the black cloud, and his form changed, “Dracomon!” He burst out of the black cloud now bigger and firmer. The digivolution had reinforced his data although he was still injured but not as bad as before. He was no longer in danger of being deleted. Sadly, his digivolve only last long enough to stabilize him before the energy he gained from the food ran out, thankfully, however, when he slipped back into unconsciousness, his rookie form stayed, though with a small change. One that you wouldn’t think was a change unless you knew what it looked like beforehand. The horns and wings both had a pink and purple stripe, as well as a lavender tip on his horns. The rest of him was, of course, colored black except his belly which was a stark white to his black. His horns were the color of polished ivory, and so were his wings. Twilight and Greymon faced off against the Shellmon as it charged towards them and tried to ram them. Only for them each to grab a side of it while growling at the effort of holding it back. Tai yelled out, “Now you’re getting them! Go Greymon and GeoGreymon!” They both pushed back against the Shellmon and pushed it back a bit before the Shellmon fired its waterspout again which they both dodged by moving their bodies and heads a bit. Fire welled up in their mouths as they glared at the Digimon. They both let out streams of fire that clashed against the water spout and instantly turned the water into steam that floated on either side of them. The Shellmon’s waterspout eventually ran out, and Greymon took the opportunity to rush forward and get his horns under the Shellmon. He lifted his body and headed up into the air which ended up launching the Shellmon far into the air in an arc. As this happened, he stepped back and readied an attack. “Digi Nova Blast!” Greymon yelled as a massive fireball launched from his mouth up at the Shellmon. “Harmonic Nova Blast!” Twilight shouted in time with Greymon’s as a rainbow fireball launched from her mouth. The two attacks merged into one and hit the Shellmon, sending him flying far out towards the ocean. The Shellmon hit the water far into the distance with a giant splash that everyone could see. Greymon watched it splash down before he let out a sigh of exhaustion and glowed yellow as his data was released. He shifted back down into his rookie form Agumon as Twilight’s data released as well and she changed back to Kudamon. Twilight pulled herself over to the now bigger Dracomon and the now conscious Richard only to drape herself exhausted between Dracomon’s horns. Richard nodded to Twilight for a job well done as Tai raced over to his partner yelling, “What? Agumon!” Tai skidded to a stop next to his partner as he asked, “Are you alright? You poor little guy. Agumon.” Agumon called up to him weakly. “Tai….Tai. Do you have anything to eat?” He said causing Tai to chuckle weakly in relief now that his partner was safe and the danger was over. Later Gomamon was watching Joe from the ocean as Joe frantically held the phone of one of the machines buried in the sand as he said frantically, “Hello? Come on. I know you're there. Operator! Operator!” Tai and the other kids were gathered together in a group as Tai said, “There’s no reason to stay here now.” Mat nodded in agreement as he said, “Who wants to break the bad news to Joe?” All the Digimon were busy scarfing down the food that the kids had given to them. Shadow was quite pleased with finally being in rookie form and being able to eat alongside a group of friendly Digimon; Although Twilight kept on questioning him about his wings and horns for some reason. He finally looked up at Twilight who was nibbling on some food as he said, “I don’t know why they’re like that. I don’t know how many times I have to say that. What possible significance could there be to that?” Twilight sighed as she realized that she wasn’t getting any further in trying to understand this strange world she found herself in. It took awhile, but Twilight managed to convince the others that she wasn’t a Digimon, had never been a Digimon, nor had ever seen a Digimon before. It was thanks to Tentomon that the others believed her, along with Izzy’s help. Sora knelt down by the Digimon and said, “If you want some more just say so!” Izzy made an excellent point to the other children as they continued to talk, “Shellmon wasn’t destroyed. He was just temporarily removed. We should pack up and leave before he decides to come back for round 2.” Matt agreed with him as he said, “Good idea.” Joe spoke up a little distance from the others, “In that case, we should go back to the forest. Because if anybody is looking for us, that’s the place they’ll go.” Sora sighed as she looked at Joe, “Joe I’ve said this before. We fell off a cliff and floated down a river to get here. And getting back there is a really big job.” Mimi turned her attention away from the Digimon as she heard the last comment as she whined, “And we could run into Kuwagamon.” Izzy sighed as well as he looked at them, “Now listen. Logically speaking, if there are telephones here, there must be people to use them. So I think it makes good sense to try and find those people.” Joe blinked at the logic as he replied, “That makes sense,” And Sora agreed with,” It certainly does.” Tai grinned as he put his fist in his palm, “Then let’s all get going!” Agumon was grinning happily as he came over and said, “Anywhere you want to go, I’ll go Tai. You just pick the direction.” Tai smiled as he said, “Then let’s get out of this place.” Mat spoke up beside him, “Then let the monsters beware.” Joe still looked quite worried but nodded his head in confirmation and said, “Well my plan is to avoid all monsters. Yup, that’s my plan.” Tai set his foot on the ground and started walking as he yelled, “Alright here we go!” All the kids cheered behind him as they yelled, “Digimon!” And so they set off down the beach to get out of the area. Twilight, Richard, and Shadow all cheered right after with, “Yay!” And they all continued down the beach. Author's Note Hello everyone. I hope you like this. It took some time to do but its finally done. And I've gone back and checked all the digimon names and they are the correct ones. They are the spellings form the english dub anime. So they are all correct. But please let me know below what you think of the chapter. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Garurumon part 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Garurumon part 1 Digimon: Digital Ponies Chapter 2: Garurumon And Reppamon Part 1 The kids had almost searched the entire island it felt like, for they had found no other people. They had only seen some monsters with attitude, but these monsters couldn’t stand up to their Digimon friends because their friends could turn into formidable fighters. Just like when Agumon digivolved into Greymon, and Twilight managed to slide digivolve into GeoGreymon entirely bypassing her standard digivolution line. They both kicked Shellmon to the curb; they had both been so cool working in perfect synchronicity with each other. The kids were standing at the edge of a cliff looking out upon the sea with Tai grinning before he said, “Yo Agumon?” Agumon walked closer to Tai as he asked, “What’s up Tai?” He was curious as to what his partner wanted to ask him. Tai turned to him with a curious look as he said, “I like it when your Greymon. No offense but why don’t you stay that way?” Agumon turned his head with a sigh, “I can’t.” Tai let out a humph as he folded his arms and started out to the sea a bit grumpily, “Hmph.” Agumon turned back to him as he replied, “But even superheroes need a rest.” Agumon's words caused Tai to lose his cool as he stumbled a bit and his arms flailed around wildly as he fought to regain his balance. In fact, he nearly fell right off the cliff, and all it took was Agumon reaching out with a claw and grabbing the back of his pants to hold him steady while the rest of the kids laughed at him. “And here I thought I would be the one falling more often,” Twilight said with a tired chuckle. Shadow the Dracomon looked up at Twilight and shrugged, “Geeze Twilight. I thought you would have recovered by now like Agumon. What gives?” As Twilight opened her mouth to reply, the kids all heard a loud roaring, which belonged to another big Digimon. A big gray horn broke through a rock wall behind them as they turned to face the noise and the head burst through right behind the horn. The Digimon in question appeared to be some mutated triceratops dinosaur with monochrome colored skin on his legs, head, and upper body. The rest of his body seemed to be white leathery skin. The Digimon stomped around the area roaring for some reason and looking a bit silly. But Izzy was curious as he asked, “Who’s that Digimon?” Tentomon being the encyclopedic wealth of knowledge he is just looked at the Digimon dismissively before turning his head to Izzy and replying, “It's a Monochromon. But don’t worry about him. He’s a laidback Digimon.” The Monochromon, however, did not look very laid back. He seemed to be rather upset and angry about something as he faced the children and started roaring and growling again as his body trembled. It looked like he was about to charge them. Tentomon started to look a bit uneasy as he continued, “Although it is wise to be a bit cautious with a Monochromon. They do tend to get a bit miffed when they’re hungry.” Tai uneasily said with a bit of fear, “Then he must be starving because he looks really mad.” The Monochromon kept on stomping their way looking very menacing as they talked. As it continued towards them and closed the distance rapidly Mimi spoke up in a scared tone, “And I think he wants to eat us!” The monochrome stopped 6 feet away from there where it opened up its mouth and started roaring yet again. The kids were staring at it in fear as well as a couple of their Digimon partners. Tai and Agumon, however, were turning around as their ears caught the sound of something else. While this was going on Dracomon started to growl as he punched his clawed fist into the flat palm of his other hand. He growled, “Let me at him. I’ll tear him to pieces!” He started to head for the Monochromon even though Twilight was still lying on top of his head exhausted, Though, from the heavy breathing, though he didn’t want to say anything about it, sounded like she was getting worse with every breath. He was forced to stop where he was and back up towards his partner again as he pulled her off his head and held her in his claws, “Come on Twilight. Pull yourself together.” That’s when they heard more roaring from behind them and turned to see a second Monochromon roaring behind them. Joe gasped in shock and fear as he said, “There are two of them.” Even Matt had lost his cool a bit when he said, “We’re caught between a rock and two sets of teeth.” Richard glanced at the two bigger Digimon, before looking down at Twilight who didn’t look so good. He quickly leaned down to Dracomon for a moment and gently took Twilight from him, though, as Shadow held the poor mutated Digimon, Twilight glowed softly as if being held by him was slowly restoring her. After the glow stopped, Richard had a small worried frown on his face as he noticed that the pink stripe in Twilight’s hair was now a crimson red, while her fur was a slightly darker shade of purple than before. His attention was drawn back to the Monochromon in front of the group who started to roar again before charging. This caused the group of kids to run to the side out of the way of the two big Digimon while screaming. They got to safety behind a couple of big boulders as the two big triceratopses Digimon clashed their heads against each other. Their horns locked up as they roared at each other. The two Digimon kept on clashing with each other before moving by each other as they prepared to fight yet again. One of their tails whipped around and smashed a boulder to pieces sending chunks of rock flying. One of them knocked the other Monochromon in the face as it collapsed into shards which made it angrier. Tai poked his head out from behind a boulder, “Something must have set those Monochromon off, “He said in wonder. Tentomon explained what was going on in his exasperating way as he watched the fight, “They are fighting over territory.” Palmon just watched with a bit of worry as she replied, “Well they can just have it then.” She turned and started running away towards the forest causing Mimi to turn and shout, “Hey. Don’t leave without me.” And the rest of the kids weren’t too far behind as Richard kept up with the group. Dracomon did his best to keep up as well as he glared back at the Triceratops Digimon while running. Tai grunted while running fast, “They don’t need us hanging around.” Shadow growled as he turned to face forward while running, “I could have taken the both of them by myself. They’re just a couple of pushovers,” he said before a stray rock managed to smack him in the head, causing him to slur his next sentence, “They’re just two fluffy burpees with aptitude.” The one who had knocked the boulder into pieces ran and charged into the other Digimon as it cried out in pain. As they ran, poor young T.K. tripped and fell flat onto the ground. Matt stopped down next to him and knelt while he said, “T.K. Come on!” Tai looked back at them as he stopped and said worriedly, “Better hurry up you guys.” T.K. got back up with determination as he fiercely replied, “Alright. We’re coming.” Matt was a little surprised by how easily T.K. got back up and continued running which left him kneeling for a few seconds in shock. The Monochromon who had rammed the other was now biting into the other Digimon's side as hard as it could. But unfortunately for the both of them, their fight caused them both to slip on the ground, and they plummeted over the edge of the cliff down to the water below. And this is what spelled their doom as it was not possible for them to swim and survive. The kids had finally stopped running and walked down a trail as the time passed them by. Finally, it was nearing sunset as the sky started turning a deep orange. The path they were walking on had a few random stray street signs on the side of the trail as they walked along. Mimi finally spoke up in her whiny voice, “I don’t walk this much unless I’m at a mall. And as you can see we’re nowhere near one.” She stopped by a thick-trunked tree and pressed her arm against it with her head on top. It looked like she was trying to cry as she turned her back on the rest of the group. Tai just walked on by with a tired sigh as he replied, “Mimi quit your whining.” Mimi’s muffled voice answered back in frustration, “No. My feet hurt!” What she hadn’t realized was that Agumon had stopped right next to her. He was looking up at her curiously wondering what she was doing. Agumon replied calmly, “Maybe if you took off your boots and socks you’d feel better Mimi. It's much more practical I think.” Mimi moved her face away from the tree and turned so she was facing Agumon and could answer more clearly. There was also no sign of tears on her face meaning she had just been being dramatic. She was quite a lot like one certain white coated pony that Twilight was friends with. Dracomon watched them from a distance as he scowled and shook his head, “Geeze. She’s such a drama queen. It’s so annoying to deal with.” Twilight groaned in slight pain as her fever grew, before calling out to Mimi in a fevered daze. “R-Rarity, please stop with the dramatics, I-I don’t f-feel too good,” she said as she tried curling up into a ball even further. Richard winced as he continued to hold her and the others looked back at him curiously. Tai asked in curiosity, “Who is Rarity? And is Twilight okay?” Richard grit his teeth as he shook his head and continued to look down at Twilight who had stopped glowing as the changes to her body had stopped a while ago. She was still hot to the touch though, so even just holding her was like holding a hot plate. “I-I don’t know,” Richard said as he moved Twilight to the other arm, “I have no clue who this Rarity is, nor do I know what kind of Digimon she must be, but judging by how Twilight mentioned her name by how Mimi was acting, I think it’s a close friend of hers. Maybe. As for twilight here, I don’t know.” Shadow moved over to Richard and looked at Twilight with an appraising eye. He frowned before motioning Tentomon to come on over. Tentomon gave Twilight a look over as well before turning back to Shadow who whispered, “It's not just me right? It looks like she has the symptoms of Digi-mutation. That would explain why she’s burning up and her data has changed as it has. It looks like a bit of it has been corrupted. I remember Elecmon muttering about it to himself as he was taking care of one of the other baby Digimon.” Tentomon nodded with worry before his expression became grim, “Though it looks like the same symptoms, it's much worse. Her code isn’t just changing; it’s deleting itself.” Shadow was shocked and turned to look at Twilight with fear in his eyes, “No…..Elecmon said that strain had gone extinct long ago. I can’t remember the name of it, but it's worse than Digi-mutation. I think he mentioned that there was one cure but I can’t for the life of me remember what.” Tentomon nodded, glad that only Shadow was able to hear what he said. “The only thing we can do is hope that she’ll pull through, slim as it may be,” he said, before grabbing a few leafs and fed them to Twilight as he spoke to the others with his best lie, as he didn’t want them to worry, “It’s just a fever, nothing too serious. Must be from her recent battle with that Shellmon.” Shadow looked back up at Twilight in Richard’s arms as a worried frown worked its way across his face. He turned back to Tentomon as a weak smile appeared on his face, “Thanks Tentomon. I just needed a second opinion.” The others had been watching them with concern and worry on their faces but as they heard what Tentomon said their worries and tension eased somewhat. Mimi finally turned back to Agumon as she continued in her whiny voice, “I’m not going to walk in the dirt in my bare feet.” Palmon jogged on over to the pair of them as she happily spread her arms, “I love the feel of dirt under my feet. Especially between my toes.” Mimi’s face scrunched up in disgust as she replied, “Gross.” Palmon just knelt down onto the ground with content and happy expression on her face. Izzy turned to look up at the sky as he said in worry, “it appears that we are losing our light source.” Sora looked up at the sky with her hands on her hips. “What a weird sunset, “She contemplated as she stared at the orange-yellow sky.” Izzy sighed and shook his head, “This whole island is weird. And who knows what will come out at night.” Tentomon quickly jerked up into the air as he spoke happily, “Wait. I detect water. You guys stay here while I go check it out.” He flew through the trees towards where he had detected the water. He flew up into the air above the trees and saw what he was looking for and smugly said, “Yes, as usual, I am right. Its a lake with fresh, clean water and a variety of tasty fish. It’s a perfect campsite,” Tentomon said as he sat in a tree. He flew back to the others to tell them what he had seen. Mimi looked up into the air as she sighed with relief, “Finally, I can soak my poor achy feet.” Palmon was still kneeling beside her with her plant hands pressed into the dirt. Gomamon was ecstatic as he started heading towards the lake shouting, “Yay! We get to swim!” Only to stop in his tracks as his tail was held in place by Joe, who looked less than pleased. Joe sharply told Gomamon, “Gomamon, You’d better wait and make sure its safe first.” Matt looked down at his exhausted little brother who was sitting on his but alongside and equally exhausted Patamon. He turned to look at the others as he said cooly, “That’s why I think we should keep walking and stop all the complaining.” Tai stood up from where he’d been sitting down and stated, “Everybody’s hungry. We have to find some food.” Joe turned to look at the others a bit more calm himself as he replied, “That is a good plan. I like that plan a lot.” And meanwhile, the sun was continuing to set which would soon mean they’d have no more sunlight. So they kept on walking till they finally reached the banks of the lake. The lake was somewhat weird as a collection of metal towers used for electricity lines were clustered right in the middle of the lake sticking up out of the water. There were even still some powerlines hanging limply from a couple of the towers. Biyomon spoke up happily, “It should be safe to rest here tonight!” She stood beside Sora as she looked out across the lake. Sora replied in turn, “Yeah. I love camping outside,” She smiled in relief as she gazed at the cold water. Mimi turned to gaze at the others with a frustrated look on her face, “If I won’t walk in dirt what makes you think I’ll sleep in it?” Tai groaned and looked at her in exasperation, “Mimi do you see a hotel here?” Mimi frowned as she looked at Tai. She was about to complain when she gasped and looked over his shoulder further out at the lake where she saw something sparkling. There appeared to be a couple of metal constructs on top of a vehicle out in the middle of a small island some distance into the lake. Headlights sparked at the front of the trolly as they tried lighting up. Tai asked in wonder, “What’s that?” He was amazed to see a vehicle out here in the middle of nowhere. T.K. spoke up in awe, “It looks like a trolley car.” He wanted to get closer to it to check it out.” Izzy spoke up in curiosity, “Interesting. The lights just….came on.” Sora speculatively replied, “Well maybe there are some people in there?” At their current distance, they couldn’t make out if there was anybody in the car or not. Tai raced towards the car as he shouted, “Let’s go check it out.” Agumon was right on his heels as he ran behind his partner. The kids raced towards the car around the sides of the lake towards the large round mound which was connected to the shore by a small narrow bridge of dirt. As they crossed the bridge, Mimi started to speak hopefully, “Maybe they could take us home in air-conditioned comfort.” Tai ran for the car as he called out to Mimi, “Mimi wait up.” And then quickly passed her as he got to the car and ran towards the door on the side. The door slide to the side automatically to let him in. He gazed around the inside of the car and sighed in disappointment, “Bummer. It's empty.” Sora came in through another automatic door further down the car and commented, “Totally empty.” Izzy came in and knelt down on the ground as he inspected the floor and said in wonder, “No trolley car is this clean.” Mimi sat down on one of the green seats that lined a wall as she happily said, “Oh goody. These cushions are comfy.” Tai frowned as he looked around the area, “Something’s wrong here.” He finally stood back up in a normal stance from his legs splayed out position. The gang all looked around the car as Shadow waited outside and glared at the metal contraption, “Looks stupid to me. Why would you humans ride around in a contraption like this?” He shook his head and turned back to Richard as a worried frown replaced his scowl, “Is Twilight any better?” Shaking his head, Richard sighed. “No. she’s still burning up,” he said after replacing the ice pack on Twilight’s head. Shadow’s worried frown increased as he continued to watch Twilight and replied, “That’s not good. If I could remember the cure……...but I can’t. Curse my memory of being a baby.” He watched Richard hold Twilight before he spoke softly, “I don’t know what it is about Twilight, but she makes me feel different. Like some warm, fuzzy feeling I can’t describe. When she digivolved to save us, it felt like she was especially protecting me for some reason. I don’t know how to describe my feelings.” “I.. know what you mean Shadow. Even I feel that she is someone that would be willing to do everything to protect us, yet at the same time, it also feels like she’s capable of pulling the entire world on her shoulders and not even feel the strain.” Richard said as he moved Twilight to a little bed of leaves. Shadow continued to watch Twilight with worry, “I hope that she will be okay soon. It's hard to see her like this.” Tai meanwhile continued where he had left off before after saying something was wrong as he looked around the car. “Remember those weird phone booths we saw on the beach? Something as freaky could happen here!” Matt and T.K. were both outside of the car looking at it along with their partners in curiosity. They were wondering why this thing was out here on this mound. Joe was sitting at the front of the trolley car in the driver’s seat right behind the headlights. In fact, Biyomon was perched on the glass window looking in at Joe with wonder as she gazed into the car. Joe was smiling happily as he replied, “Yeah. Like this suddenly moving by itself.” His hand was holding the lever that could be moved in an arc to make the car run and speed up or slow down. Tai had his arms folded as he contemplated the car and Joe’s answer. He finally said, “Possibly. But then maybe that’s how we’re going to get home.” Sora was sitting on one of the seats right next to Tentomon with her arms splayed out wide to the sides on top of the seats. She smiled up at the ceiling as she replied happily, “So we have nothing to lose by staying here.” Tentomon funnily enough just whined next to Sora, “Ohhhh. Can we eat now?” He seemed both tired and hungry at the moment. Tai continued his contemplation as he looked out the window of the trolley car. He sighed, “That’s right. I forgot.” A little bit later Gomamon was messing around in the water happy to have an area where he could swim. He moved underneath the surface as a trail of bubbles showed where he was. Before he finally surfaced and Izzy complained, “Gomamon stop playing in the water.” He was currently trying to fish in the lake using a long wooden stick with a string tied to the end and T.K. standing next to him watching curiously. Gomamon swam past them happily while Izzy continued, “I can’t catch any fish if you keep warning them away.” Tentomon meanwhile was up in a tree in the forest line, on a branch with leaves that had clusters of berries growing from them. He buzzed happily as Joe and Sora passed underneath him carrying arms of kindling and firewood. He graciously said, “Yum Yum. You can’t get too many berries down the hatch.” Agumon and Patamon were out foraging for food themselves and had spotted a small cluster of bananas up in a tree in another part of the forest line. Patamon blew himself up big as he struggled to contain the air on top of Agumon’s head before letting out the massive blast of air as a boom bubble that knocked the fruit to the ground. Unfortunately, poor Gabumon was standing right underneath the tree and branch the bananas has been hanging on. The bananas fell towards the ground and impaled themselves right on Gabumon’s horn making him let out a cry of pain as he put his paws up to his head on either side of his horn. Though she was still delirious from her fever, even Twilight winced in pain as she knew just how sensitive horns were. Biyomon turned her head as she put a winged hand underneath her beak and started to laugh. Patamon moved to stand next to Gabumon with a worried expression on his face. Biyomon laughed for a bit before turning to Patamon and chuckled, “Oh boy. You’d better watch that killer breath of yours Patamon.” She took flight as she flew away from the two of them. She flew up to fruit on another tree and struggled to pull it off by its stim with her beak but wasn’t having any luck. In another area, Mimi was working with Palmon to pick mushrooms for their meal but nearly ended up picking up bad mushrooms. Luckily, Palmon shook her head and held out a hand to stop her. She firmly said, “Those are bad mushrooms. You shouldn’t pick them. They’ll make you sick.” Mimi moved her hand away as she gasped, “Oh. I’d be a big mess without you Palmon. You’re the best.” Palmon smugly turned to face the lake with chest puffed out as she grew a foot taller thanks to her legs stretching. She replied happily, “That’s right.” Dracomon watched from a distance but managed to hear them as he snorted, “A mess is right. Mimi has a hard time doing anything right without help. I still think she’s a conceited, spoiled brat.” He looked up at Richard with a raised eyebrow as he said this. Richard looked over to where Mimi was, before letting out a sigh. “You think so too, huh. It would be one thing if she just complained about one thing, like sore feet or even that she was hungry, but to complain about dirt even though we are literally outside, to even completely clueless about what’s safe to eat, makes me wonder just how sheltered she was.” Richard said, before turning back to Twilight, who did look slightly better, but a worried frown appeared on his face the longer he saw the encroaching black spot that appeared on her stomach. Dracomon turned to look at Twilight as well with worry as he quietly said to himself, “I hope she gets better soon.” A bit later both Sora and Matt had finished making a fire pit and set the wood in it in a tent-like shape. Matt looked down at it as he said, “Well we have all we need to cook dinner. Now, all we need is the grub.” Tai was with them as well as he had helped to make the stone ring around the pit. Sora looked down at the pit as well as she replied, “Yeah. But how are we supposed to light the fire?” Agumon came running over happily with a grin on his face as he said, “Like this.” And stopped at the edge of the pit and breathed a stream of fire into it which lit the campfire and gave them a nice crackling campfire. Tai grinned after watching Agumon light the fire and said happily, “Wow Agumon. You’re the man!” Agumon looked rather pleased with himself at Tai’s remark. He let out a happy, “Ahhh.” and stared into the campfire he’d made. T.K. ran behind Agumon alongside Izzy causing him to turn and face them as T.K. shouted, “Look at it.” Izzy was pleased as well as he held up a bunch of fish on sticks wrapped in leaves and said, “We caught a lot of fish.” Tai took one of the sticks from Izzy, “Awesome Izzy. Let’s eat them.” Matt took another stick from his brother as he smiled down at him. He was rather proud of his little brother at the moment. “Thanks squirt.” And T.K. smiled happily up at his big brother as he handed over the stick of fish. Richard also grabbed a few fish skewers, though he and Dracomon chuckled at the near stupidity Tai did by holding the fish by hand over the fire. “This is where I wish we had microwaves,” Tai said as he held the fish over the flames. “Me too,” Matt said as he walked over to Tai and Richard, “because you’re about to lose your fingers. Why don’t you use a stick?” “How did you come up with that, Matt?” Tai said curiously as Matt placed the fish on the stick and stuck it in the dirt. “Because I’m the man,” Matt said boastfully as he watched the fish cook on the flames. With time the fish were all cooked, and they all had a hearty meal, which humans and Digimon alike enjoyed. Both Biyomon and Tentomon were chewing on the sizeable weird fruit that Biyomon had finally been able to pull off the tree. Tentomon spoke up between mouthfuls, “This is surprisingly good.” Izzy chewed on his fish before saying, “Delicious.” By now it was night time, and the fire had died down entirely by the side of the lake. T.K. looked up from his still uneaten fish as he looked at his older brother. He finally said, “Matt. Mom only lets me eat fish sticks.” Matt sighed as he listened to his younger brother and replied, “I won’t tell.” T.K. looked worried as he moved his head up from his fish on a stick and said, “I’ve never eaten with my hands before.” Matt sighed in exasperation. Matt looked at his brother and snapped, “T.K. It’s all right.” Tai grinned as he moved over and reached out with a hand and pointed at T.K., “Yeah. You’re hanging with the big boys now.” T.K. nodded before he dug into the fish, “Ok.” He hungrily ate his fish as Matt watched in worry and annoyance. Tai walked away from the other children towards sora who was filling a piece of hollow bamboo wood she’d found with water. He stopped a few feet away from her as he got her attention, “Hey Sora?” Sora looked up from her water gathering, “What?” She was crouching down with the water-filled bamboo piece in her hand. Tai frowned as he replied to Sora and said, “Matt doesn’t treat T.K. like a brother. Only as a bother. Is it just me or have you noticed that too?” Sora replied calmly with her own opinion, “Yeah.” She sighed as she looked down at the bamboo piece in her hands. Tai continued to look at her as he contemplated before finally speaking his thoughts, “I wonder….” But he was cut off as Sora spoke up before he could continue, “Mat’s still learning to be a big brother.” Tai looked up into the air, “Maybe.” He was still contemplative as he did so. Joe walked up to them and stopped by the edge of the lake. He put his hands on his hips as he looked up at the night sky and let out a hum of pleasure.” Sora stood up before turning to him and asked, “Hey Joe. What are you looking at?” Joe responded in thought, “I’ve been trying to figure out which direction we’ve been going. But the stars seem to be all mixed up.” He looked around at the stars in the night sky. He finally continued, “I haven’t been able to find the north star anywhere.” Sora replied in worry, “I know. I haven’t recognized any of these constellations.” Tai dismissively said, “You forget your astronomy. If you can’t find the north star, then it must be on the other side of the world.” Sora replied worriedly, “Do you think we could be in the southern hemisphere?” Joe turned to face the both of them as he lowered his gaze from the stars, “Yes. I guess it's possible. That is if we’re still on Earth.” Tai frowned as he asked, “What’s that supposed to mean?” Dracomon and Richard weren’t too far away from the trio and heard the comment. Dracomon was puzzled as he turned to Richard and asked, “What’s Earth?” Richard had already long figured that they weren’t on planet earth anymore, just because of the Digimon roaming around. If they were, then the rest of the world would have known about them or even taught about them in classes and such. “It’s where we’re from. As for how we even got here, that’s still a mystery,” he said as he looked down at Twilight, “and for some strange reason, I feel like she isn’t either, but at the same time, is as much a part of the world as you are.” Dracomon frowned as he folded his arms, “Yeah I get that feeling too. Still, there’s not too much we can ask or do unless she gets better.” His attention was torn away from Twilight as he looked over to a yawning Patamon who started to settle onto the ground sleepily. T.K. looked at his tired partner and said, “Hey look. Patamon is tired.” Several of the other Digimon like Palmon and Gomamon were already fast asleep and cuddled up into a pile. Tai stretched his arms out as he let out a yawn, “I’m getting tired myself.” Izzy walked over to stand by him to express his idea. He spoke up firmly, “Wait a minute. I think we should take turns standing guard.” Joe nodded with his hands on his hips, “Alright. Who wants to go first?” Tai turned to face Joe as he replied, “How about each of us stand’s guard for about an hour.” Matt stood up to full height from next to T.K. and replied calmly but firmly, “Not T.K.” T.K., however, wasn’t happy about it as he grabbed hold of matt’s green shirt with a hand. He complained, “Oh. Come on, me too Matt.” Matt snapped his attention back to T.K. with annoyance as he snapped, “No! You’re too young, and you need your rest.” Mimi stood up from the ground as well and walked to stand by the both of them as she said. “I’m getting cold. I need a warm blanket to help me sleep.” Tai got the brilliant idea to pull a prank on Gabumon after hearing this remark. He smiled mischievously and held out his hands with fingers crooked creepily. He walked towards Gabumon and said in a spooky way, “Hey Gabumon. Watch out! Mimi may sneak up on you and steal your fur. So if you feel a little tug, it might be her about to cut your tail off.” He grabbed hold of the back of Gabumon’s pelt as he did this. Gabumon looked both worried and unhappy as he heard this and tried to take a few steps away from Tai. He said in worry, “Stop Tai! That’s not funny!” He ran away from Tai as Tai started to laugh at his successful prank. Matt was less than happy as he rushed over and shoved Tai right in the chest. He yelled, “Stop it!” Tai let out a groan of pain before facing Matt angrily with hands clenched into fists. He scowled at Matt and growled, “What are you bugging out about?” T.K. was much concerned and a little scared as he saw the two of them fight with the now more awake Patamon perched on his shoulder. Matt shouted, “Gabumon told you to stop. So knock it off.” The shouting match had woken all the Digimon up from their sleep, and they stood around awkwardly with their partners as they watched the argument. Tai growled and shouted back, “Hey you can’t tell me what to do!” The arguments even woke Twilight up, though only barely, as she started to glow and send out pulses of strange calming energy, somehow stopping Matt and Tai from getting into a full-blown fight. When the pulses came to a stop, everyone looked over to the little Digimon in awe, and concern as it was now looking even worse than before. T.K. took this opportunity to run over to the two still angry older children and said, “Hey. Stop fighting.” The two of them growled and turned away from each other with arms folded and arms closed. They were like two little kids throwing a tantrum. Joe took the opportunity to walk over to them and speak up, “Hey, You’ll both make great guards. Who goes first?” Tai turned to him angrily as he jabbed his thumb into his chest as he responded, “I will.” But Matt turned around only a second later as he growled, “I’m next.” T.K. smiled in relief as he watched the both of them with Patamon still on his shoulder. Patamon let out another yawn as he continued to watch. Joe smiled at the both of them and replied, “How about Izzy takes over after that and I finish up the night? I propose that the rest of us trek back to the bus and get some shut eye.” They all nodded in agreement and did so with Tai taking the first watch. As they walked along back to the bus, Shadow the Dracomon growled, “They’d better not argue again tonight, or I’m going to knock both their heads together. I’m not going to have my sleep ruined by two fools who can’t see they’re on the same side.” T.K was nearly half asleep when he turned around before thanking Twilight for calming Matt an Tai down, even though he knew that until she got better, she wouldn’t hear what he said. He was pretty shocked, and glad when Twilight said “you're… welcome...” before falling back into her slumber. Author's Note Hey guys. Sorry its been a while but. Real life caught up and stuff needed to be done. But this next part is finally out. I feel bad for poor Twilight. But as always please leave a comment on what you like or any corrections you think need to be made.
