Fluttershy's Wingman the 1st story in the Dragon Hoof Saga
It was a sunny day in Equisteria, the home lands for the “my little pony” ponies, and several of the flying ponies, like Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle, were flying about, in a fit of fun, which made another pony, “Fluttershy” sad, as she was “stuck” taking care of some animals...
She liked to fly, but she had her job, and while she liked taking care of the animals, today, it seemed to be taking forever, when she'd rather like to join in on the fun, but she was also too shy to ask them about joining them, especially with the advanced maneuvers Dash was teaching Twilight...
As she sat there grooming her friend, Angel, a rabbit, she wished she had her own “Wingman,” to teach her how to do such amazing maneuvers that Dash was teaching Twilight, when Twilight wasn't being picky about how none of the lessons were properly “scheduled”...
Meanwhile, in the human world, Kevin was sitting at home, sulking, as there was nothing to do, and no friends he could count on, or to hang with him, and not end up being “sick” or “flaking off” in some manner on a weekly basis...
He knew he couldn't force a friendship on them, but it did become tiresome, when he wanted a friend to talk to, and do things with, including “female companionship...” and there was no one...
Unfortunately, the local girls were either “busy,” “not interested,” they “had someone”, or, he suspected, were lied to, about what sort of teen he was, or given a “him or us” ultimatum”...
Finally, Kevin went off for a walk, usually to a nearby park, which usually soothed his soul, but today, something seemed a bit “off” as he walked into the park, which seemed to be devoid of people at the moment...
Then suddenly, before he could react, a portal opened up, and began to suck anything not secured to the ground, into it! Kevin had nothing to hold onto and ended up being pulled into the portal, yelling many unkind words about the situation...
In Equisteria, meanwhile, it was the beginning of nightfall, and Fluttershy was slowly going to sleep, partially disappointed at not having any fun that day with the others that day...
However, that changed, when Kevin fell out of a portal that was several feet off the ground, yelling, as he then hit the ground with a loud CRASH!, knocking him out cold, and leaving a sizable impact crater in her yard...
Shy ran outside to see what had happened, and gasped at the sight of what Twilight had described as a “Human,” now unconscious, at the bottom of a sizable crater, and still smoking from flying through the portal, now shrinking away in the sky above her place...
She then got a lantern to look the human over, still remembering Twilight's tales of her time in a human world, to get her crown back to Equisteria... Shy saw nothing obviously wrong with him, but needing some security, got a tarp, and with some effort, nosed the human onto it, and with her teeth, dragged him into a larger unused den she had for sheltering sick animals...
Once she'd dragged him inside of it, she looked his face over, and saw signs of a sad life, but still not sure how he'd react to Equisteria, nor herself, and not wanting to see him carted off to be imprisoned, she secured a metal grate across the den's entrance, hoping it was strong enough to hold him there, until she knew he was safe to come out of the den...
The next morning, Kevin woke up with a slight headache from the impact, but that was quickly fading away, so he looked at his surroundings, since he obviously wasn't in the park anymore... Seeing the grate, he easily knocked it over and poked his head out of the entrance to the den and looked around... He tilted his head in slight confusion, as he took in the sight of bright skies, brilliant colors everywhere, and several kinds of animals normally not friendly with one another, playing around together, in an open and grassy yard, near a babbling brook and a bridge, that lead off to someplace...
Kevin liked the animals, but suspiciously eyed the tree-shaped house nearby, never having seen anything quite like it... He crawled out of the small cavern and stood up, stretching and yawing to fix the cramps he’d gotten from “sleeping” in such a place...
The animals, upon seeing the human, yelped in fright and scattered everywhere, diving into several other dens, never having seen something so tall and furless before... Kevin gave an exasperated grunt, and knelt down onto his knees in the yard, and then sitting cross-legged, Kevin patiently extended a hand, palm pointed upwards, to offer in friendship, smiling his best friendly smile...
It took a few minutes, but Angel cautiously approached the strange creature and sniffed his hand...
Kevin had always been good at “reading” an animal's “mood,” and then mostly made friends with them... Once Angel was okay with him, he gently petted the rabbit, until the other animals slowly approached Kevin, enjoying his petting them as well...
Later that afternoon, Fluttershy returned home, worried about the human, but unsure if the other ponies would be as kind to him as she was planning on doing, while she tried to learn how or why he'd gotten there, nurse any injuries he’d gotten from going through the portal/hitting the ground and what he'd now do in Equisteria...
She was “answered”, when she heard a lot of noise from her yard, and upon crossing a bridge, found the human, alive and doing well, as well as the animals, who seemed to be enjoying his company...
Hearing s loud gasp, Kevin turned his head and spotted the odd colored pony, on the bridge, and smiled, hoping to not scare it off, until it spoke to him, “Um, hi there...I'm Fluttershy, and was wondering if you are okay? You hit the ground pretty hard last night...?”
He was left speechless, not expecting a talking and intelligent pony, nor one with wings, but being the sort of person he was, he quickly got over that, and asked, “so0o0o...um, where am I at, and, how did I get here, exactly?”
Fluttershy wasn't sure how he'd gotten there, and said, “You're in Equisteria, and the nearby town of Ponyville... I don't know how you got here...I'm sorry...” she then apologized, as if his trip into Equisteria was her fault...
Kevin had always had a sense of when things got weird and didn't sense that Fluttershy had anything directly to do with the trip, so he replied, “It's okay... I don't think you had anything to do with my being pulled here...”
Fluttershy briefly blushed at Kevin's kind words, but recovered, and asked several questions, so she could see if she could help him out in someway...
Kevin answered each one as best as he could, but in return, he sensed her keeping him from “other” ponies, and when he asked her about that, Fluttershy became flustered, surprised that Kevin could pick up on that, but then stuttered, as she explained about her fears for what the others would do, if they discovered him...
He understood such fears, guessing that if Fluttershy showed up in the human world, she'd be turned into a lab experiment, never to see the light of day again...unless she found a good friend...
Still, Fluttershy was not a rude pony, and offered Kevin to join her in a late lunch... He wasn't sure of what sort of food he could eat, but agreed to “take a look...”
Kevin did have to crawl to get inside her place, and moved slowly when he stood up, so as to not end up knocking something over, or accidentally breaking something, until he reached her table, made from a tree stump, and carefully sat down on the floor... He patiently waited while Fluttershy picked and choose what foods she thought a human ate, based upon Twilight's descriptions of her time in “Canterlot high school” as a human girl...
Most of what was offered, made Kevin frown, but enough of it was to his liking, that when vegetables were offered, he didn't object loudly, but he then did reluctantly explain about “farting,” and upset stomachs, which Fluttershy had to deal with, with her animals, so Kevin wasn't that different as she originally thought...
As they started the lunch, they got to know one another, becoming best of friends, as far as Fluttershy was concerned... Kevin also liked her, as a friend, albeit one with four legs...
Once lunch was over with, Kevin helped out with the animals, as he seemed to be able to calm them down and have something of a healing effect on some of them... He also was interested in flying, seeing Fluttershy's wings, and asked her about them; he then explained about “Pegasi(flying ponies), Unicorns, and “Earth,” or ordinary ponies...
Not having walked anywhere a long distance in awhile, he asked about “transportation” to where he might need to go...Fluttershy was willing to try to carry him wherever, walking outside with him, to see if he could ride her, on the ground, so Kevin, once outside, stood up and spread his legs apart, so she could line herself up for him to settle down on her back...
He used a improvised cane and slowly knelt down onto Fluttershy's back...she quickly realized that he might be able to be carried a short distance, but then she'd fall down, from the effort, too weak to go further, and he'd fall down on top of her and end up “squishing” her, and Kevin didn't want to hurt Fluttershy like that, so any flying on her back was out for him, unless other means became unavailable for him..
However, once Kevin got up off her back, he saw she was still sad and asked her why... She sniffed back a tear, and explained about seeing other flying ponies having a good time flying around with others, and how she wanted to be able to fly around with a friend of her own, her own 'Wingman' if he knew what that was...
Kevin guessed how painfully shy she was, but he had no ideas on how to solve her problem, but when she ran to him and launched herself into the air, to half-tackle him in her sadness, looking for someone to comfort her; Kevin had no problem with hugging her, and stroking her mane, as she quietly cried for a bit...
“Perhaps we can work on something tomorrow Fluttershy...” He offered...
“Please...call me Shy, Kevin...” she said, as she smiled at him, as she slowly let go of Kevin and walked with him into her place to pick him out a place for him to sleep for the night... Unfortunately, the bed she had, was too small and not designed to take his large body, so he helped carry out a thick spare mattress, back to the large den/cave he’d woken up in and then gathered materials for a fire ring, so he could keep his place warm at night if need be... He also dug out a “smoke hole” in the den's roof so any smoke would flow out of it and not choke up his place in smoke... Kevin then somehow summoned blankets and a pillow from his home, to Fluttershy's surprise, covering her offered mattress, and reassured Shy he'd be fine for the night...
The night passed by uneventfully for them both, until the next day, when Kevin's usual time to get up, in the afternoon, was disturbed that morning, by a new development, that did solve Shy's flight “problem”, and yet, made Kevin's life a bit more complicated...
Shy knocked on the outer part of the den, to see if Kevin was awake, but couldn't guess why Kevin was reluctant to come outside, until he sighed deeply and said, “Okay, but I think your looking for a Wingman has been solved, but not the way you wanted to be solved...” and stepped outside...
Kevin then stepped out of the den, and sat down on his new haunches, because he was now a bronze colored, human-sized dragon! He was not entirely sure how it had happened, but he'd been experimenting on himself, to see what he could do in his new form, explaining excitedly “So far, I can breathe fire in a stream, fireballs and even a wide shot...”
Shy wasn't so sure that such abilities should be bragged about, but Kevin reassured her that he had no intentions of going off on a “rampage,” especially now, “Unless you've seen other dragons about Equisteria?”
There was “Princess Twilight Sparkle's” little dragon friend/assistant, “Spike,” and “Discord,” a bad dragon, whom Shy then told Kevin all about who he was, and, how she “reformed” him, and of other dragons that no pony wanted to deal with, as they were very scary, especially to her...
Kevin was impressed by Shy's work with Discord, but then, did his new wings work, and if so, how well would they allow him to fly about...? Obviously, he didn't want the wings to fail him in mid-flight... Shy, knowing something about wings, took Kevin to an open spot and was going to instruct him on everything, but she then learned, that sometimes, he was a little bit slow to learn things, but then Kevin would quickly “pick up” on things, and could then understand advanced things, whatever it might be...
He started things off, by digging his new claws into the ground for traction, and flexed his wings to see what sort of range of motion they had, and then began to flap them up and down... He pushed his wings to flap harder and faster, until there was quit a lot of wind being blown about by the force of his powerful wings... Satisfied that they worked for him, Shy was impressed by his tests, but was unsure of his idea of the next test, as he asked her to stand back... He crouched down, for what he called a “power stroke” for lift off !
Suddenly, he leaped into the air, and flapping his wings as hard as possible... He was quickly airborne and several feet in the air, before Shy realized it, and could then join him in the air... There, she was going to begin lessons in flight maneuvers, but Kevin, being a fan of jet fighters and flight in general, took off and took only a few minutes to refine his maneuvering abilities, as Shy had to struggle to keep up with him, until he saw she wasn't keeping up with him, so he slowed down, and let her catch up with him, for which she gave him a hug and kiss on a cheek in thanks for being considerate of her, and not flying off, and leaving her behind...
Then he lead her on several formation flights, until they were briefly interrupted by a passing flying pony; Kevin dove into a cloud to hide his presence, so as to not freak out any other ponies....
By the end of the day, Shy was happy, now having someone she liked, to go on flights with her, and do all kind of maneuvers with her, if still a bit rough around the edges, which showed, when she landed softly, and Kevin came in, skidding to a stop...
They both laughed at that, and then Shy headed into her place, followed by a careful Kevin, as he carefully sat down at the stump table, on the floor, for Shy's idea of a dinner, while Kevin offered to help Shy cook, explaining that he ‘d taken “cooking lessons” at his own school... “I decided to do so, since I planned on living on my own one day...” he explained, the irony of his current version of that not being lost on himself...
Then as he cooked the dinner in part, he worried about what to do, having heard how ponies usually viewed dragons in general, when others found out about him, and what he'd gone through... He wasn't sure if they'd be okay with his current Draconian look, or even as a human, never mind Fluttershy’s friendship with him in either form, and then have a fit, getting 'ugly' before things could be calmed down...
Shy then imagined Kevin being discovered, his 'past' revealed, and how much she was beginning to like her new friend... She didn't think the others would go 'too far' in reacting to Kevin, but she didn't want to risk losing her own 'Wingman', when the others learned who he was and what had been happening over the past few days...
Then as Kevin set the dinner on the table with her help, Shy's thoughts drifted to Kevin as a stallion, because so far, his personality was everything any filly could wish for in a stallion, but his current form would be a bit of a problem to be called a stallion, and the only person whom might be able to fix that would be Princess Celestia, but she may not approve of her “friendship” with Kevin, and send him back to the human world, and she was beginning to not want to lose Kevin, even if it meant following him to the human world!
The next day, Shy decided that if she could get hold of Rainbow Dash, at the Wonderbolt Academy, she might be able to help them in getting the others to not panic, etc...
Kevin had several doubts about such an effort, but then again, they did have to start fixing things at some point... That afternoon, Shy got a few things to give to Dash, mostly as a cover for their visit, while Kevin cleaned his den up, to make sure nothing would happen, while they were gone for the day, like moving his mattress away from the fire ring, just “in case”...
She knew the way, but doubted the balloon gondola, she normally took there, would be able to lift Kevin, without drawing unwanted attention, so they planned on a direct flight there, when Shy noticed several things wrong with her home's roof, and got out a ladder to make repairs, at the top of it...
By late that afternoon, Shy was almost finished, but was tired from all the work, and turned to reach for a tool, but she tipped over and began to fall to the ground! The animals squealed in fear, and alerted to trouble, Kevin looked out from his den and upon seeing Shy falling and too tired to right herself and fly to the ground, he was off like a shot, launching himself into flight, and caught Shy before she could hit the ground, but, because of his speed, he flew upwards a sizable distance, and took a few moments to properly slow down, and not hurt Shy by suddenly stopping...
He then gently fluttered to the ground, where Shy was grateful for his rescuing her, as was the animals, and before he could react, she thankedhim repeatedly, as she gave him a big kiss on his lips for saving her life, for which Kevin smiled back, giving a surprised Shy a gentle hug, to say 'you're welcome' to her...
With the roof finally repaired and the animals fed, the pair took off for Wonderbolt Academy, hoping their appearance wouldn't cause too much trouble...
Once among the clouds, they had to hide among the clouds, when a passing pony flew by, because they didn't want to have anypony throw a fit over Kevin's appearance... However, as they flew along, Shy discovered it wasn't as easy a trip by wings, as it had been by balloon, but she kept on flying, even as she was getting tired, because she didn't want Kevin thinking she was too weak to make the trip by wing...
Then, Shy got woozy and nodded off, falling asleep in mid flight! Then, Kevin's “inner red flag” went off, and he turned to check on Shy, only to see her drop out of sight into the surrounding clouds!
Kevin gave a yelp of protest, and banked around, doing a hard dive to catch up to Shy! It took a few nerve-racking moments, before Kevin caught up to Shy, and move carefully, as he did have a set of claws and didn't want to injure her when he grabbed her body...
Once in his arms, Kevin began to try and pull out of the dive, just in time for Shy to wake up because of all the shaking Kevin was doing, in his struggle to recover from the dive... She was grateful and thanked Kevin, until he said, “Don't thank me yet...I was diving at a good speed to catch up to you, and I don't know how close we are to the ground or a mountain...”
Shy quickly wrapped her fore-hooves around his neck and closed her eyes tight, hoping that they didn't crash, while Kevin looked for some sign of landmarks... Suddenly, he got his land marks, when he saw the main runway for Wonderbolt Academy, coming up fast! Kevin leveled out his wings to try and avoid a painful crash for the both of them, his wings shaking with the effort...
Then, just as guards spotted him, and launched fliers, he got control of his dive and flattened his flight trajectory out, just in time to ROAR down the runway, and create his 1st “sonic rainboom”!
The shock-wave from the boom flew across the grounds, knocking the CO, Spitfire, over, as well as any pony unlucky enough to be caught by it, until it struck the “Dizzytron,” which promptly shorted out, before being knocked over...! Kevin, meanwhile had “bled off” his speed, in order to turn around at a much slower speed, and land at the academy' s runway, under several guards “escorting” him in...
As the strange dragon landed, Spitfire could tell that if the strange dragon wanted to fight, her pilots would be in for a world of hurt, and yet it was putting up with a lot of being threatened and shoved about, as it flapped its wings backwards several times to gently land on it's back legs and and set a pony to the ground, whom she recognized as Fluttershy...
Kevin gently held onto a shoulder of Shy's, who was still wobbly from experiencing her 1st sonic rainboom, but Kevin remained calm, as Spitfire stepped up to him and eyeballed the stranger, as she whipped off her shades... Once in his face, she demanded to know what they thought they were doing at the academy, without authorization...
Shy managed to explain that “Kevin” had crashed near her place and while recovering, she thought Dash could help the other ponies get used to him, and keep them calm upon seeing him, instead of panicking about him, at least until he could find a place of his own...
Spitfire then looked at Kevin and stared him down, trying to figure him out, as she suspected he was hiding something... Then she put her shades back on and ordered them to follow her, to her office...
Once in her office, she had them close the door, after she “chased” her subordinates out of the office, and on her intercom/speaker, barked an order for Dash to report to her office “pronto!” Once the guards were gone, Spitfire sat behind her desk, and placed her forehooves together, calmly asked “What are you two not telling me..? I'm not stupid...” and then leaning forward slightly, “I know when someone is lying to me...”
Shy sighed deeply, and quietly told her the whole story, keeping out the part about her increasingly liking Kevin more than just a friend, making Kevin raise an eyebrow at Shy's “confession”... Spitfire then eyed Kevin closely, making him sweat, along with Shy, as neither one of then wanted further trouble, nor their time together exposed to the rest of Equisteria...yet...
Then Dash showed up, and was pleasantly surprised to see Shy in Spitfire's office, but not the dragon sitting next to Shy! She stepped back a few steps, as she fearfully pointed a hoof at Kevin, and yelped, “Wa...wa...what is that doing here!?” looking like it was about to get a bunch of hoofs to the face...
Instead of “blowing their cover” Spitfire explained about Kevin's crash etc, and ordered Dash to help her friends in Ponyville get used to Kevin... Dash bemoaned her assignment, as they were dismissed...
Outside, Dash showed them around the area, and Kevin worried Shy might not make the trip back, telling Dash of the trip there, and how proud he was for her to have made such a long trip by wing, rather than balloon... He also did not wanting her to risk a 2nd “sleep dive” and hoped Dash had some means to carry her back, so she wouldn't have to worry about falling asleep on the way back to her home...
As they walked about, Dash asked Kevin about how he did the Rainboom, and Kevin explained how some dragons back in his homeland could fly that fast, if not faster, but rarely did so, as the chances of it suddenly causing a problem in middle of doing so, was fairly high, so it was rarely done, unless they had to be some place really fast...
Finally, Shy and Kevin got their own flight goggles, but Spitfire insisted on seeing how good Kevin was, even through Shy protested he was good enough for her, before he was given a harness to carry Shy on his back...
Kevin rolled his eyes, but shrugging his shoulders said,” Okay...its your course, “ like he knew something was going to happen Spitfire would not like... The Dizzytron would've been 1st, but his earlier fly by ruined that, making both Shy and Dash quietly giggle at Spitfire, who grunted at not being able to give Kevin the Dizzytron test...
Next was the maneuvering course, through a series of cloud-based “holes” in mid air, for the fastest time possible, and when Spitfire barked, “go!” Kevin was off like a shot, proving to be an even bigger showoff than Dash had originally been, as he performed barrel rolls through the almost too small for his body, holes, and then a cavern tunnel came up, but, much to Shy's concern, as Kevin wasn't slowing down, and then, Spitfire and Dash also got concerned, as Kevin might get stuck or hurt, but instead, Kevin let loose a stream of his fiery breath, actually smoothing out the tunnel, and fortunately because of his high speed and his wings being leathery, he dove through the newly warmed up tunnel, as the flame slightly widened it...
Once out of the tunnel, Kevin unfurled his wings, and finished off the course, by dusting up the main runway with a high speed fly by, making Spitfire cough, from all the dust he stirred up, and the two ponies snigger, but since Kevin had proven his skills to Spitfire, who was now okay with Kevin's plan to secure Shy into a harness on his back, so she could enjoy a ride home, and not worry about falling asleep and taking another dive on the way home...
Once Shy was secured, the trio took off for Ponyville, while Shy got her wish for a Wingman, as Dash and Kevin performed maneuvers together, testing one another's flying skills in a friendly competition....
Shy finally whooped it up, yelling “whoo hoo..!” which the others completely understood...smiling, as they performed several maneuvers, slowly, for Shy's benefit.... Once they got back to Shy's place and she was “let loose” from the harness, Kevin put it into his den, in case Shy wanted to go on another flight sometime in the future...
They then sat down at an outdoor table, for lunch, in view of Kevin's larger body, and it was there that they then revealed Kevin was once human, which startled Dash, but after looking him over she asked, annoyed “Okay...and just how did he end up becoming a dragon then!?”
Kevin nor Shy had any idea, and turned the conversation about how to best introduce Kevin, whom they all agreed to pass off as a dragon, rather than a human turned dragon...seeing his large body would cause enough fuss as it was...
They also decided that they had to find out what Kevin was capable of and not capable of, including magically, so there would be no surprises that no one wanted to experience... His making a bed for himself and that blast of dragon fire at the cavern tunnel still unnerved the ponies a little bit...
Still, Dash gave Kevin exaggerated description of the ponies who were her friends, and their personalities, finally suggesting that their leader, “Princess Celestia,” might be able to figure him out, describing her as a white unicorn with wings, which, if she was anything like the legends from back home, Kevin realized that Celestia would be a powerful pony indeed...
Kevin was reluctant to visit her, as she had guards/soldiers, and Shy had learned how Kevin felt about authority figures, and dreaded a brawl, but Shy, along with Dash, were confident that the visit would be alright...
Ever the pessimist, as they flew off for Canterlot castle, for which Kevin agreed to, while images of mayhem ran through his head, when a guard or two pointed a spear at him or “his” Shy, which startled him for a moment, to even think of Shy as more than just a friend to him... She had shown signs of increasing affection towards him, and when she looked at him, it was more than just friendship, he felt towards her, but then, how to find out more, without offending or scaring Shy off?
When they landed at the front gate to “Castle Canterlot”, there were guards, all of whom had big long spears, and they didn't like Kevin one little bit, and were all for running him and the ponies off, which Kevin was frowning on the spears being pointed at Shy, and Shy swallowed nervously, as she knew what that could result in, unless she stepped in...
Shy spoke up and finally one of the guards went inside to “speak” to Princess Celestia about the visitors, acting like they'd be told to go away... However, to the amazement of the guards, the lone guard returned, saying she'd given them the ok to enter the castle...
Somehow Kevin could already sense the princess's great power from the entrance, as they entered the castle with reverence and awe until they arrived at the throne room... Sitting on a sort of throne was Princess Celestia, as a wind seemingly blew her green magical mane about in a majestic way... The ponies bowed respectfully, but Celestia eyed Kevin in slight surprise, as he did of her, to figure one another out, while the other ponies thanked her for seeing them and hopefully to answer some questions that they had about Kevin...
She waved formalities aside, commenting on her wanting to meet her 1st human, albeit it changed in form... The trio was surprised that she knew of their “problems,” but stared, as she offered to return Kevin to his true form, which was interrupted by Kevin's wanting to keep on flying, like he had been doing, but changing him back into a human would “be a bit of a problem,” to continue to fly... Celestia smiled, glad that the human could still make jokes about his situation, and marked him as a good person...
Still she understood, as she looked the trio over and eyed Shy's looking at Kevin as more than just a friend.... She thought for a moment, and then, with a wave of her horn, Kevin found himself lifted up into the air, to Shy's concern, until in a series of magical flashes, Kevin was changed into a robust(very strong)bronze-colored stallion, with a blue mane/tail, as well as three stubby dark brown “claws” on all of his hooves, instead of the long sharp ones he'd had as a dragon, but he still had his dragon-like wings!
Kevin was gently set down onto the ground, where Celestia asked, “So, what do you think, “Dragonhoof?”
He slowly sat on his haunches, stunned, as he then looked over his fore-hooves, wiggling his semi stubby claws, and then, he saw his own 'cutie mark' on his right hip appear; a fireball and opened dragon wings on either side of the fireball... He then looked back at his new wings and flexed them, and after a few 'test flaps', took off to fly about the throne room, as good as, if not better than before!
Dash was impressed, and upon landing, Dragon found himself tackled by an overjoyed Shy, as she flew right at him, knocking him backwards, onto his back in surprise, as she sent them skidding across the floor, with Shy sitting on top of him...
However the surprise got bigger, when Shy then planted a passionate kiss on his lips, making Dragon fail about, and for Dash's jaw to threaten to drop off and onto the floor, while Celestia smiled in knowing and understanding of the situation...
Then she cleared her throat, to remind Shy where she was, and Shy stopped, and shyly got off of Kevin, as they stood back up, her cheeks now bright pink in embarrassment... Celestia was alright with Shy's behavior, but reminded her, “Kevin does not belong in Equisteria..” and was interrupted by Shy, assuming the worst, cried out, “NOOOOOO!” Tackling Kevin, again, and this time crying her eyes out...
Kevin gritted his teeth, and had been able to brace for Shy's impact, finally slapping a fore-“cloof” (clawed hoof) over his face in embarrassment, until Celestia, ever the calm pony, explained, “He doesn't have to go home right away, and, in the future, should you or him wish to visit one another, I see no problems in granting you both such ongoing access between our worlds, until he’s settled into Equisteria fully...”
Celestia then walked down from her throne to Kevin and tossed a necklace with a glowing blue jewel on it, around his neck, as Celestia explained, “This is your main key to enter Equisteria whenever you want to, and I'll give a similar one to Fluttershy as well and if you are ever needed, by Fluttershy or Equisteria itself, it will glow brightly, and portal will open up for either one of you...”
Kevin thanked her, and stepped back to see what was “next,” unsure of what his new future would bring, for himself and for Shy...
They were dismissed, and so they left Castle Canterlot, their lives considerably changed, Dragon's and Shy's lives especially.... Once outside, Dash's “assignment” was over with, so she left for the academy with a new story or two, to tell her squad and Spitfire, and the new couple decided to celebrate their new found love by “blasting off” into the sky at FULLSPEED, knocking the guards over in the process!
Looking at one another and smiling lovingly at one another, they then rolled over and after diving out of the sky, blasted through Applejack's farm, “Sweet Apple Acres,” startling Applejack so much, that she missed her usual “Apple Bucking” (back hooves kicking of her apple trees, to knock several apples into a waiting basket)...
Then they reached the town, and blew through it, without hitting any pony or thing, stunning many of the ponies there as Shy and her new “friend” flew by, performing such advanced aerobatics in the air, until with a grin, Shy clamped onto Kevin's neck, as she landed on his back, and he took off for the upper atmosphere, where he rolled over and upon speed diving, flattened out just above the ground, and generated a sonic rainboom just outside of town, to minimize any damages...
After a bit of time, they turned around, and landed in town, where Fluttershy reassured the other ponies as she then introduced Dragonhoof as a “friend” from out of town... Dragonhoof then quickly made friends with Fluttershy's friends, even putting up with Pinkie Pie's loud and franticRANT of how she was happy to meet Fluttershy's new friend...
After shaking his head to make sure he'd not gone deaf from Pinkie's rant, he said to himself, “Well... I did want some new friends... Just didn't expect them to have four legs...” and ran off to join the other ponies in playing around Ponyville...
