The Fire

Sweetie Belle was at Rarity's place playing in her room while she heard a knock on Rarity's door but she didn't think much of it so she continued to play. Rarity answered the door and talked to whoever knocked on it. As time passed Rarity continued to talk to the person.

Sweetie Belle thought that Rarity would have finished talking to whoever she was talking to but she continued to talk to that person. Sweetie Belle finally decided to stop playing and went see who it was by going downstairs. When she got downstairs she saw Twilight talking to Rarity franticly Twilight and Rarity both stopped and looked at her.

"Well I guess that's my cue to leave. I'll tell you when everyone is safe." Twilight said as she left. She left which left the two sisters staring at eachother.

"What was that about?" Sweetie Belle asked. Rarity held her forehead in distress and that concerned Sweetie Belle. Sweetie Belle sensed that something was wrong and that made her uneasy. She slowly walked down to Rarity in order to get closer to her.

"Rarity? Why are you so silent?" Sweetie Belle asked. Rarity didn't answer her as she sat down at the kitchen table. Sweetie Belle waited for her sister to answer her. When she didn't though.

"Did Twilight say something to upset you? Because if she did then that isn't nice of her. I thought friends didn't do that." Sweetie Belle said. Rarity took a deep breath to collect herself and looked at Sweetie Belle and spoke.

"The Apple Family's house caught on fire." Rarity explained as she now regretted telling Sweetie Belle as she might have scared Sweetie Belle. Sweetie Belle processed the information and wanted to know more as she wanted to know if Apple Bloom and her family were safe.

"Is everyone okay? Or...." Sweetie Belle asked. Rarity didn't answer so Sweetie Belle waited for her to answer. When she didn't answer at all Sweetie Belle started to walk back to her room as she didn't want to bother Rarity. She wondered if everyone was safe.

When Sweetie Belle went up to her room Rarity immediate ran out the front door and headed on over to Applejack's. She already knew that it was to late to save her friend. Although she didn't hear that Applejack was dead she figured that she was.

When she got there she saw that a fire was still going on in the home as they tried to put it out. It wasn't good. Smoke reached up into the sky. She immediately went to try and see if Applejack was alive. She asked numerous witnesses and the witnesses said that she was in the hospital along with the rest of the family.

She wondered who caused the fire as she had never imagined that Applejack's farm would catch on fire. She decided to go to the hospital immediately. When she got to the hospital she entered and asked to see her friend. They told her that her friend was still being treated so she asked when she would be available and they said that they didn't know.

Rarity went back home and updated her sister about Applejack's family, Sweetie Belle asked her if she could see them but she said that would be impossible as they were still being treated.

Rarity decided to wait for a few days until she was able to see Applejack and her family. She knew that she had waited enough so she went back and asked to see her friend again and they said yes but they told her that didn't look good which she said that she understood.

They led Rarity to her friend and when they got to her room they stopped Rarity from going in to tell her a few things.

"When you get in their your friend won't look good to you. I'm going to try and put this as gently as possible but Applejack has burns all over her body so just be prepared when you enter." A doctor said. Rarity nodded and went in to see her friend.

When she got into the room she saw that her friend was sleeping. She went over and woke Applejack up. Applejack slowly opened her eyes and saw her friend. She spoke weakly.

"Howdy...Rarity....I know I look pretty ugly to you don't I?" Applejack asked. Rarity looked her friend over and saw that her whole body was bandaged. Rarity couldn't believe that her friend looked that bad.

"Ugly is an understatement. What the hell happened? How did the fire start?" Rarity asked. Applejack frowned.

"Apple Bloom played with some matches while I wasn't looking....short story short this happened. Apple Bloom and my family are in this same hospital but they are undergoing treatment." Applejack said.

"Well why was Apple Bloom so careless? Shouldn't she have known better? She should have been taught about fire safety. But by hearing this I can confirm she didn't learn about fire safety." Rarity asked.

"No she never did and I didn't think that was a problem but now I know that she should have been taught it somewhere as they never taught her in school." Applejack explained.

"How much are the repairs going to cost?" Rarity asked. Applejack shrugged.

"I don't know but I can tell that I will be able to pay for repairs. I have a lot of money." Applejack explained. Rarity nodded.

So when do you think your burns will heal?" Rarity asked. Applejack shrugged.

"I honestly don't know that they never told me. They just told me that they would heal overtime." Applejack said.

"Do our other friends know besides Twilight? Were they all told about what happened?" Rarity asked. Applejack shrugged.

"How should I know. If they don't know then you have to tell them by yourself as am unable to" Applejack said.

"I'll tell them myself. I'll see you soon." Rarity said. Rarity then left and told her other friends about what happened and they all visited Applejack and Applejack's family in the hospital. Soon Applejack was finally healed and was released from the hospital along with the rest of her family.

The ordered repairs on their house which were completed after a few weeks. They were so glad that they were safe and their friends were glad that they were safe. Applejack' Applejack's family and Applejack's friends hoped that nothing like that would ever happen again.
