Foreword
I didn’t write this story for you. This story closely relates to my friends story and us creating it has been very therapeutic for working through the tough feelings and attitude to the core by forcing him to view his life through other people’s eyes. In other words our “protagonist” is real and this helps to dig to his foundation and fix it. I’m not asking for likes or even comments; it’s just good to know there is a community there to help and seeing them see this would help too.
Ch 1 skill of flying
Today was an ordinary Saturday for a 27 year old man; although he was young he acted like a much older and less kindly gentleman. This man had done well for himself in the financial department; he owned a good home that he inherited with a yard and he had a stable job with a good pay.
His days before now were all alone and he knew it, he had preferred to be alone. Ever since childhood this man has been a loner although he didn’t always prefer being alone, he was always the butt of a group of “friends” and most of the time they seemed to just be putting up with him. By middle school he had thought about being alone but all of society and media had convinced him that he should have friends, he made one good friend but he was still trying to get into other groups of friends. By the end of middle school he had experiences that convinced him he would be happier alone; somewhat thanks to his own philosophy he made to convince himself to leave a group of friends. This man had his philosophy and solace but he lost it somewhere in his first year of high school and he was sticking to a group of people that were nerdy punks just because his old one good friend. The man separated with this group of nerdy punks violently and bitter, just like how he left every other group of friends he had encountered. Because of his experiences the man finally decided to commit to his philosophy and he used it everywhere.
This man grew his philosophy to strengthen his resolve. “if a person is mean to you at some time or makes jokes at your expense why are you friends with him? For that matter if this person is mean why do you want to be friends with him? Why do you even need friends?" as time passed this man gave himself other questions to prompt himself to be alone “why be with them they’re immature idiots. Even though they’re not mean to you they’re mean to somebody and do you want to be with them if they do that? They do so little work, you can do better alone then a group of three together, why do you need a partner to ride on your success?” this is how other people were ,or at least how people were in his mind
Kids and his generation in this man’s opinion were terrible and spoiled. If you weren’t apart of the pack you were torn apart. And that’s what people did. They judge you before talking and they insult you when they dislike you, generally most of them lie without thinking about it and are cruel in business and society; He didn’t like that.
This man watched My little pony. This man always loved the kind of shows, videos, and movies that tell you how great the world is or how good it is to be alive. This man didn’t know why he liked My little pony; perhaps because these filled him with hope for something better in the world then the cruel treatment people give each other. Although it was an unobtainable perfect world this man still wished for it; theses thoughts made the man sad at times but it was the truth.
So with nothing for his spare time not used by ponies he had a lot of hobbies and interesting skills and knowledge from books or teachers. One skill was flying a personal air plane which happens to lead into our story...

A Caucasian man fairly tall stood in a small hanger. He had a flat but not monotone speaking manner with a North American accent. He had loose curly dark brown hair and brown eyes. He had high cheekbones but you couldn’t really notice, his cheeks slightly rounded the sides of his face but not his chin or Pointed jaw. This man had a strong medium build. His attitude was always serious and annoyed or at least neutral even though this was a vacation. His perpetual mood choice and speaking manner made it sound as if he were severely talking down to everyone.
The man was renting a personal aircraft for a vacation trip. He had a fedora with a small stiff brim and fabric, like in the mafia or detectives in movies. The man lifted his hat off his head and ruffled his curly dark brown hair then got back to work putting his luggage and other essentials into the plane. He was wearing a dark crimson red shirt and blue jeans. When it was all said and done he thanked the aircraft rental owner and got in the plan, drove it onto the runway, and took off.
The man Felt a heavy sensation as he climbed. The pilot radio terminal told him that today would have a minor rain warning amateur pilots but he was experienced enough. After about an hour and a half He turned his head sideways and saw his brown eyes looking back in reflection of the window, they didn’t show any sigh of light reflection like eyes usually have which was strange; as if his eyes were painted and not glassy. He sighed through his nose as he spotted the dark rainclouds past the reflection. All he could think of is the dreary clouds all around, then suddenly a gigantic cracking sound exploded through the plane; thunder. The man’s thoughts started to pick up as the weather progressively became worse with rain, wind and sleet and blinding lightning, leaving streaks of light all over his vision.
How could there be a thunder storm? And how did it come about so quickly? And why hadn’t he been warned about it? The man picked up the radio transmitter and talked into it with a hastened voice, he yelled for assistance out off the thunderstorm but when he looked to all the devices there to tell him important stuff like location and altitude and such he found them spinning out of control revealing nothing but random numbers. The man then noticed that there was nothing on the other side of the radio except static.
Lightning and thunder struck all around the man and his aircraft again. He debated in his mind whether to be worried or not. his brain uselessly reminded him that his aircraft wasn’t equipped to handle lighting or thunder at all, on the other hand there were only a few small clouds in the area and these clouds usually didn’t have enough juice to do any real damage. The man thought that this is just a small thunderstorm and he could fly through it; there only problem was that he could see thunderclouds for miles around.
The man decided that he would have to land anywhere he could.
The man descended and looked out the window but to his horror he only saw water as far as the eye could see where just a second before there was land. The man stayed calm as panic tried to worm its way into him. The man knew he couldn’t simply turn around because his instruments had already mislead him in circles probably. The thunder crackled again reminding him of his evident danger.
“if you can’t go sideways or down, why not up?” The man thought that it was worth a try to make it out of here alive. It was a gamble to fly above the clouds to be safe and make it back to any land mass or contact anyone. Flying over the clouds is not recommended for small aircraft or any aircraft for that matter but then again he knew how small aircraft and lighting would react. So the man began to ascend. The engine of the plane whined as he it pushed harder and harder. The clouds came closer and closer to the plane and the man thought he could see sunlight but before he could make ithis plane was struck by lightning. His body went rigid as electricity flowed through his veins and controls sparked and engines blew fire, after several seconds when he could finally move again the plane was losing altitude and starting to dive steeply. He could barely breath and he was in pain as tried the controls but found everything didn’t work; all the controls were fried. The man unbuckled himself and stumbled with the shuddering plane to the back, to the door. The man tore open the box containing the parachute and with some difficulty put it on. The plane was making a whining noise normally found on action movies when the plane goes down and explodes. The man didn’t have plans to go down with the plane so he opened the door, clutched his hat and threw himself out of the plane.
Then freefall. The wind punched the man in the face as he came out of the plane. He pulled the chute with his free hand as early as possible in hopes of directing the parachute to land knowing that he is very well above water. The parachute deployed and jerked the man painfully to a stop and he almost dropped his fedora. He saw the mighty plane already leaving him and diving away trailing fire and smoke, although there was no explosion when he looked after it which told him that he was very well above water. He vaguely wondered how he managed to hold onto his hat at that point.
The man was cold, hanging, painful, and probably going to land in water and die. But luckily or unluckily for him he was flying really high and let out his parachute without waiting so he had a long time before he’d get to water. In the meantime the man had to brave the elements while he floated down. The man realised that he actually should have let the parachute go later to not drift further from land then he was previously, he slapped himself in the face repeatedly.
The man started to ponder what had just happened and thought that a lot of it was very improbable. The area he was flying in didn’t have thunder storms or large bodies of water in it and thunderstorms don’t strike over large bodies of water anyway. Also the lightning shouldn’t have shocked him in the cockpit either. Most important fact is that the man was FLYING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION of the ocean.
The man slouched in the saddle of the parachute, his body and brain hurt. The adrenalin from the event was wearing off letting the man truly feel the pain he had. Somehow hours passed without him seeing the ground. Every time there was a thunder strike the deafening sound made his headache worsen. A large bolt of lightning exploded right in front of the man, blinding and deafening him for a few moments. When he could see again he noticed that he was starting to fall faster; The bolt of lightning hadn’t passed through him but set a gaping burning hole in his parachute. The man couldn’t believe his luckiness and unluckiness. Quickly he started to descend at dangerous speeds and the buffeting winds started to pound him harder; the man put his fedora on his head to free his hand even though he feared he would lose his hat. Fighting for control was having almost no effect on the parachute as the man continued to pick up speed, pretty soon he was basically plummeting. On the verge of death the man was dropping like a stone, through the buffeting wind rain and darkness he finally saw ground and a town somehow, about a half a mile away. SALVATION. The town was small with small buildings except for one large pointed domed building in the center; there was circular space between this building and all others. The man tried his best to hone in on this town and to his delight he thought he was going to make it; until he remembered how fast he was falling. The man panicked like never before, He was Thrashing and kicking to try to do something. The man braced for impact a second before slamming into the ground at a 45 degree angle; he fainted when his head made contact with the ground.

The man felt the sun on his back and his face in the dirt, the parachute had dragged him 30 feet after landing so his clothes and face were scratched and torn. The man groaned without the energy to sit up and his breath was shallow, raspy and his mouth had dirt in it; The lighting shock made his muscles scream like a banshee and his condition made him feel like he was on fire. A strange sound was in the air; it sounded like high pitched grumbling echoes which didn’t make sense.
The man placed his hands on the ground and pushed himself to a kneeling position. The man looked up and opened his eyes but all he saw was blinding white light; the man sat back on his butt and fell down onto his back while struggling to open his eyes. A figure of something came over the man’s head casting a silhouette but all he could make out was a black blob. The man tried to speak to the figure but what came out was a high pitched dry rasping. The ambient noise grew a bit louder. The black silhouetted figure turned away from the man for a second then returned with a transparent object that shimmered from within; the figure held the object out to the man. The man realised it was water in a glass cup so he slowly raised a shaking hand and grasped it. The man tried to drink from the glass but as he brought the glass close ,his shaking hands dropped it, spilling all of the water on his face. The man’s hand fell down ,disheartened, at his failure. The silhouetted figure shifted closer and pulled the man to a sitting position then presented the glass to his mouth; he drank a few mouthfuls before coughing out water. The silhouetted figure said something in a comforting tone but the man couldn’t tell what it was. thanks with a drink of water the man was just able to croak out the words “t-thank yy-ou.” Just forming those simple words made his throat burn and after he said them there was a burst in the background noise from before.
The man tried to get up but the arms holding him suddenly got firm; he heard the figure speak something again in a worried tone as it gently put him on the ground. Suddenly the man had a sensation of being completely wrapped in cloth as he was lifted onto something wooden which started moving with a lurch; his back was lifted up by something crunchy and soft. The man was already exhausted since waking so he closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

The man awoke in a house with a light brown wooden ceiling with painted flowers and hanging bird cages and bird houses. Dark wood walls with tiny staircases running up and down led to more small houses on the walls. The floor was green hardwood. Bright Light was streaming through windows making the man’s headache worsen; He felt like someone had taken an ice-cream scoop to his brain. The man opened his eyes for a second before shutting them again at the blinding light; after a minute his eyes adjusted and he was able to see. The man was in a blue bed and had a moist towel on his head that fell down as he sat up. He felt his head bandaged up and a lot of Band-Aids on his face and for arms. Something was wrong; the man could clearly see object and colors but he couldn’t see any real detail like the threads in the blanket.
The man jumped slightly at the sound of a tiny female voice from his right side; somehow he had not spotted the woman yet. “awww its okay you don’t have to be afraid of me” said a tiny female voice sweetly. He somehow recognized the voice as the one that talked to him before; the man started to turn around to face the woman.
“it’s not that I’m scared its- WHAT THE HELL” the man said. Before him was a small yellow pony with wings and long pink hair that went around the sides of her face well; he recognised this immediately as Fluttershy. She was currently cowering in a corner and hiding behind her hooves due to his loud outburst.
“o-oh i-im so sorry. D-did I do something wrong?” Fluttershy said sheepishly while trying to hide behind her hair.
“no no no it’s that...” the man sighed and cupped his face in his palms for a second before looking back up “ I can’t explain it; at least not now”
Fluttershy while trying her best to not look at the floor said “Oh ok. But um if you don’t mind me asking how did you learn to talk? If it’s not too much trouble...”
“I’m sorry Fluttershy but it is too much trouble”
“h-how do you know my name?”
“as i said before ; too much trouble right now, at least, for me”
“do you have a name?”
“yes, my name is Enton” they stayed in silence for a moment until the man, Enton, said “can I ask you a few questions?”
“I guess it’s ok” Fluttershy said.
“where are my clothes?”

After Fluttershy had given Enton’s ragged clothes back Enton made her swear to never tell anyone about what she could’ve seen. He first urgently questioned her about the whereabouts of his hat and was relieved and annoyed to hear that spike had it. Soon afterward Fluttershy had brought up some food (bananas) and water. As Enton ate he asked her more questions.
“why am I here?” Enton asked.
“well I don’t know why you’re in Ponyville but-“ Fluttershy said before being cut off.
“NO, not in Ponyville. Why am I in your house?”
“because you hit your head”
“I KNOW THAT” Fluttershy cowered at his loud voice again and Enton just sighed and said in a quieter voice “ sorry but not why am I in Ponyville and not why I am in your house. WHY am I here as in, in your house specifically. I fell from the sky and then something happened and now I’m here.”
Fluttershy looked reluctant to speak but then finally retold the tale to Enton.
(warning flashback)
Fluttershy was walking through the town to do some shopping for Angel when she saw a crowd of ponies near town center focused intensely on something; she went over to investigate but she couldn’t get through the crowd. having given up hope and not having an urge to fly to the center led Fluttershy to walk away until she heard an urgent voice.
“Fluttershy quickly come here!” it was Twilightsparkle, she had somehow spotted her from the middle of the crowd. Fluttershy quickly hurried over and the crowd parted for her this time. When she got to the middle she saw something horrible-
“wait why am I horrible? It’s not that bad” Enton said interrupting the flashback.
“well... I...It-was-just a little scary” Fluttershy said.
Some being lay on the ground; he had cuts ,scrapes ,bruises and it seemed that somepony had painted red marks crawling all over his upper appendages ,neck ,and face.
Enton self-consciously looked at his hands and they were ,in fact, riddled with these strange marks. Enton whispered to himself “these are from when I was struck by lightning”
Fluttershy knew that this creature was hurt bad and needed immediate medical attention; just then the creature began to stir. The creature pushed itself up and Fluttershy could see its face. The creature had small sunken in eyes, a nose that stuck out like a pyramid instead of following the mouth into a snout, a small mouth that didn’t point outward. The being was garbed in clothing that was plastered with mud, torn in many places and singed at the collar of the shirt and the ends of the sleeves. Fluttershy had never seen an animal like this and certainly never seen anything this injured before. As if to punctuate the situation a fedora rolled across the empty space much like tumbleweed.
Twilightsparkle was urgently talking to Fluttershy; panicking about how a medical book and an animal book hadn’t prepared her for this. The creature fell backwards and it was wheezing softly; it seemed to barley have the strength to draw breath. The crowd murmured anxiously and nervously about the events transpiring.
“twilight, quickly, you need to get some water; you’no...for him” Fluttershy said turning to the creature. Twilightsparkle ran off to get the water while Fluttershy took care of the creature. As Fluttershy approached she could see the creature was straining to look at her. Fluttershy examined him quickly to see if there were any major injuries or any kind.
“well I guess you know what happened after that” Fluttershy said kindly. After the account Enton was satisfied with his questions. Fluttershy left and the rest of the day carried on uneventfully.
