//-------------------------------------------------------// A Nightmare In Canterlot -by StopBoi- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A Nightmare In Canterlot //-------------------------------------------------------// A Nightmare In Canterlot It was a dark, gloomy night. It was pouring, and dark clouds filled the sky, with flashes of lightning here and there. Celestia flew out of the castle at a quick speed, with a mysterious and disfigured pony chasing her. The figure appeared in front of her. "Hi there, Celestia..." The figure spoke with a deep voice, with a tinge of pure evil to it. "Who are you?!" Celestia asked, scared. "If you've seen the movies, then you'd know," The figure revealed itself. It was a stallion, but with a burnt, disfigured face with 3 blades attached to a ring that fitted on his hoof, the left one. "Who are you, and what movies?" Celestia asked. "Don't call me who -" The figure took his knife and put it up to Celestia's chin. "- call me... -" he made it go deeper. "- Burnt Dreams." Burnt took his blade and made a slit in Celestia's chin. "AAAH! What was that... Thing in my nightmare?" Celestia felt a wave of pain on her chin. It was the slit, just like from her nightmare. "What? How can... That be? It's a dream, a fictional scene created by her mind..." Celestia used her magic to heal her injury. "Celestia, you're talking to yourself again. Just go back to sleep and everything will be ok." She went back to sleep, with no other nightmares. The next day, Celestia told Luna about her nightmare last night. "How could that be, sister? You're saying... That the injury that you got from the dream... Was brought into reality when you woke up? Luna asked. "I'm not lying Luna. It really happened." Celestia Replied. "Tia, I've been hearing about a certain dream demon whose name is, 'Freddy Krueger' or something. But that's in his world. In our world, his name is, 'Burnt Dreams.' Could that have been thing that haunted your dream?" Luna suggested. "Maybe? I'm not so sure." Celestia replied. "If this thing haunts everypony's dreams, then I think we're in double deep trouble. Please say that you save them..." Celestia explained. "There's no need to worry! I, Princess Luna, shall save thy ponies from that evil demon!" Luna yelled, starting to get into her royal canterlot voice. "Thank you, Luna, I knew I could always trust you!" Celestia thanked Luna. "No probem, sister," Luna went off to save the ponies from Nightmare. Twilight was signing paperwork for an important festival that is supposed to start tonight and end tomorrow night. With all the signing and large amount of papers left, Twilight started to dose off, but she fought it. She continued to fight her drowsiness, until she couldn't do it anymore. She fell asleep, and quickly a dream came. She found herself in a hallway that looked as if it belonged in the royal castle. It was old and worn, with no lights other than candles here and there. No guards were present at all. Twilight used a illumination spell to aid her sight. "Where am I? This must be a dream, I couldn't have just teleported randomly. This must be discord's doing, he loves to just mess around with us," Twilight explained to herself as she walked down the hallway. A door opened by itself, with no visible magic aura around it. "How could that happen? I never saw a door just open like tha- that..." Twilight's eyes opened up with her pupils getting smaller with fear. A bag with a corpse inside of it slid across the floor. Nothing was visibly dragging it, it just slid across the floor into the hallway adjacent to the one Twilight was in. When Twilight went to follow it, it disappeared, with Luna at the end of the hallway. When she got to Luna, she tapped her head to get her attention, but she just vanished, with a clear, evil voice saying, "Look behind you." Twilight slowly turned around, only to see not the hallway, but a boiler room. "No... I've read about this place in my studies," Twilight looked back, she was still in the boiler room, and Burnt Dreams was there. "I don't think we've met. Hi there! My name is Burnt Dreams. Are you enjoying life? I don't like that!" Burnt yelled as he ran towards Twilight. Twilight flew away, but Burnt was slowly catching up to her, using his dream powers to fly. "I'll make sure you burn in my little place." Burnt saying that gave Twilight an idea. "Burn... Burning hot pipes..." Twilight smiled, know she could survive the nightmare. "Thanks Burnt! See ya later!" Twilight yelled as she slammed her foreleg against a scorching hot pipe. Twilight clenched her teeth. It worked, but not fast enough. Burnt quickly jammed his hoofknives into Twilights foreleg, the one that was touching the pipe. Just as that happened, Twilight jolted awake, with a scream of pain. "It worked, but not fast enough, it seems," she looked at her injury. "Oh Celestia, this gash is bleeding fast!" Twilight quickly went to a medical room and patched the injury up, since she didn't have the healing spell like Celestia does. "How could've I been attacked like that in a dream? I must do research on this!" Twilight did so, and got a lot of useful information. After a few hours, she thought she had enough. She then went back on the paperwork. The next day, Twilight told Luna and Celestia about her dream last night, and the injury she got. "Are you okay, Twilight? Your leg... It has a bloody cast around it!" Celestia was worried. "Oh... This... Yeah..." Twilight inhaled sharply. "Its 3 large slits, and they go in deep. It's probably better if you don't see," Twilight was looked at Celestia with a "you really don't want to know what is under this" look. "Are you 100% sure?" Celestia asked. "Yep, applejack-level honesty here," Twilight replied. "Alright, alright. I'll leave it on. And you said that you had information on this topic?" Twilight got her research when Celestia asked this. "Yes I do. Burnt Dreams is a dream demon. He, apparently, was a foal murderer in his days as a mortal being. He killed around 20 foals with his hoof-made knives, which were attached to a ring that fitted on his left arm. He was sent to jail, but, since the search warrant was placed in the wrong place, he was released on a technicality. He was then chased down by a angry mob of parents of the dead foals, and was chased into a boiler room, were the placed was doused with gasoline and was set on fire. Then, as he burned, he was met by 3 dream demons who liked his work, and, to put it short, he was turned into the thing that we all know and hate," Twilight explained. "Interesting. But that's just his history. Maybe tomorrow you can tell us some more about him." Celestia suggested. "And you have the party to get to, so, if you can, go to the party, an then tell us more about this," Celestia said. "I'll see if I have the time. But I have to go now, see ya later!" Twilight flew off to the party. "Alright, she's gone. Luna, do you think you have any information on this?" Celestia asked Luna. "On the demon?" "Yep," "I'm afraid I don't have much info on it, other than what Twilight told us," Luna replied. "I expected so," After the party, Twilight needed more about the demon. "Alright, time to do some more research." Twilight got out her books about all things magic and nightmares. Meanwhile, Garble was inside a Nightmare. He was alone, inside a dark cave, with the rocks of the cave being colored the usual dark red of the dragon lands, with small lanterns placed here and there. Garble lazily grabbed a lantern to help his sight. "Woah, so scary! Alone in a cave! BOY, IM TERRIFIED!" Garble yelled with sarcasm. His voiced echoed throughout the cave. As he explored the cave, he gradually got more and more lost. "This total shit, why am I even wasting my time here?" Garble muttered as he walked around. After a while, he met Burnt Dreams. "You might not know me. My name is Burnt Dreams. So, you are that one antagonist, eh? I don't like that. I'M THE ANTAGONIST NOW!" Burnt yelled as he ran towards Garble. "What the buck is that?! IM OUTTA HERE!" Garble flew away as fast as he could. He flew everywhere, but Burnt appeared at the exits of the cave. Eventually, Burnt cornered Garble. "Alright, I've had enough of this," Garble walked up and and punched Burnt in the face, really hard, and a kick to the leg. Burnt fell to the ground, with green blood slowly leaking out of his mouth. "Hold up, we got a badass over here!" Burnt got up, and used his magic to take his hoofknives. She brought up his right hoof. "Watch this," Burnt said as he cut off the top part of his hoof, with a evil laugh and grin. Green blood squirted out of the leg. "WHAT THE FUCK, DUDE?! GET AWAY FROM ME!" Garble yelled, and Burnt was unaffected by the yelling, and laughed at it. Burnt put his hoofknives back on his left hoof, and stabbed all 3 of them into Garbles chest. "Shhh, little one," Burnt said as he pulled out her hoofknives. Garble fell to the ground, with blood leaking from his injury. "Go to tartarus and burn, you devil..." Garble manage to get out before dying. Burnt smiled, letting his more sadistic side show. Later the next day, Ember was visiting Ponyville once more. While there, Spike told Ember about Garbles strange death. "Really? Someone dying in their sleep? Sounds like something out of a horror/slasher movie," Ember told Spike. "I bet Twilight has stuff on this. She has library of thousands of books, anyway," She and Spike went over to Twilight. "Uh, Twilight, do you have a minute?" Ember asked. "Of course I do! What is it?" Twilight replied. "That red dragon, you know, Garble, died in his sleep. Apparently, I heard that its caused by some dream demon or something. Any info on this?" Twilight perked up when she heard the words dream demon. "Yes, I do! Garble died by Burnt Dreams, the dream demon you probably heard about. They haunt dreams and messes with them to weaken the victim, and usually use their own ways to finish him or her off. Anything that happens in the dream happens in real life as well. For example, if the demon broke a hole in your wall, then that same exact hole would be in reality as well," Twilight explained. Ember looked at Twilight with a face of interest, but also with a "what the fuck?" face. "Uh, cool, I've heard enough. Thanks!" Ember walked off. "Well, I think that's bad, because you gave her knowledge of that thing, which means she gonna dream her. Which means she's going to DIE!" Spike warned Twilight. "Don't be silly. Ember is very tough, I predict that she can survive a stab in the chest," Spike looked at her with a eyebrow raised. "Ok, maybe going a little too far. A few slits on the arm... Yeah, she can survive that for sure," Spike lowed his eyebrow and raised both of them, and looked at Twilight with a more approving look. "That's more reasonable," Spike walked off. Twilight shook her head. "There has to be a way to stop this demon..." She sighed as she researched even more about Nightmare. After hours of research, Twilight found this a good time to update Celestia and Luna on what happened. "A death in a dream? Now that's something that defies all laws of dreams," Luna told Twilight. "Basically, its because the dream demon part. Burnt's powers allow him to manipulate between the real and dream world. Its complicated how," Celestia opened her mouth to say something. "So, you're saying, that the powers that the demon possesses... Allows them to haunt and make dreams nightmares?" Celestia asked. "Yep," Twilight blatantly replied. "I need to get back to Ember in my castle, so I have to go, see you later!" Twilight trotted off. "2 more things before you go!" Twilight turned around. "Yes, Celestia?" Twilight asked. "How's your Injury? And did Luna ever appear in your dreams?" Twilight turned around. "For the first one, its doing fine, not much pain, and I'd rather not look at it. For the second one, she did, but when I tapped her to get her attention, which is weird because I thought she'd notice in the first place. Anyway, she vanished when I tapped her," Twilight explained. "But I have to go, I have check on Ember, see ya later!" Twilight trotted away. Celestia found this time to talk to Luna about something. "Luna. You told me that you would protect the ponies and dragons from their sleep. Why didn't you do that?" Celestia asked, a little annoyed. "I try, sister, I try, but when I do, the bolt just reflects away from Burnt. I heard that those demons are immortal in dreams, that must be why. And when it reflects away from the demon, it hits me, it like, homes in on me. Then, im out of the dream. But others can't see it. All they see is probably me just vanishing from the dream," Luna explained. "That's... Strange..." Celestia replied. Later, that same night, Burnt appeared inside Luna's room, though not right away. He physically appeared when Luna got inside. "Hello there, miss princess-of-the-night-and-stopping-nightmares! How are you doing, huh?" Burnt got up close to Luna's face, and Luna pushed him away. "Why are you here?" Luna asked, pointing her hoof towards Burnt. "Your mom," Burnt replied, laughing after he said that. "Of course. What else would it be?" Burnt took lifted his hoofknives. "So. You can stop nightmares? Too bad. When I'm here, you just can't! HAH!" Burnt yelled. Luna really just wanted to go help ponies their nightmares, but can't with Burnt meddling like this. "Just go away, please. Or else or you are going to regret standing there," Luna walked up to Burnt and looked at him intensely. "No you," Burnt blurted out. Luna truly made Burnt regret standing there by lifting him and throwing him across the room. Even though it hurt a lot, which was signaled by Burnt's struggle to get up, he still got back up. "Ok. Nice job. Now fuck off." Luna was surprised by Burnt using such a word. "Watch your language!" Burnt laughed like hell at that. "Oh. My. Celestia. You are against profanity? Yep, you're insane." Burnt managed to get out in-between laughs. "I am because it's offensive and rude. And I said go away, you are insane thinking that," Luna saying that just made Burnt laugh even more. "Stop! I'm gonna pass out!" Burnt was on the floor, rolling around. "I hope you do..." Luna muttered. Burnt heard what Luna said, and instantly stopped laughing. "What?" Burnt turned to look at Luna. "I hope you die and go to hell!" Luna rolled her eyes. "I can't die. I'm immortal," Burnt got up and placed his hoofknives on Luna's throat. "Ok then, let's see about that, then," Burnt thrusted his hoofknives into Luna's throat. Luna gagged, and blood came out of her mouth, but, she didn't die. Luna used her magic to force Burnt away, but Burnt landed on all 4 of his hoofs. Luna healed herself with her magic. "Nice one, just go away, and never come back," Burnt was really wanting to cause some trouble elsewhere as well. "Sayonara, I guess," Burnt vanished into the dream realm, and so did Luna. Luna, inside the dream realm with Burnt, looked around for said dream demon. "Where are you?" She kept repeating. Luna caught glimpses of the demon here and there, and flew towards those glimpses. After a while, Luna finally clearly saw Burnt flying into a filly's dream, and Luna followed quickly after. When she got there, she didn't see Burnt, instead, she was inside a old, worn down room. The white wallpaper was peeling away, revealing the brick underneath, which has seen some wear too. There was no furniture, only one window, one light, which revealed a chair with a filly in it. When Luna went to save the filly, the filly was trapped in the chair by magical beams, made by Burnt. "Hahaha... You can't run now, little filly... " Burnt slowly walked over to the filly, who had tears in her eyes and was quietly pleading for Burnt to not kill her, and for Luna to save her. She was squirming around, hoping to get out, all to no avail. Burnt noticed Luna. "Oh.. Hey there. How are you doing? You are really determined for following me here," Burnt turned his attention to the filly. "You think you can kill that filly... But you won't. I'll save everypony from you!" Burnt looked at Luna with a "you sure about that?" face. Luna shot a bolt from her horn and it hit Burnt, and he flew across the room. Luna shot another one and it turned Burnt into a ice statue. Luna, using the time she had, quickly undid the magical beams that held the filly to the chair. Then, she changed the area they were in from the room into the place that the filly wanted, which was the beach. Luna changed the area to that, and little did she know, Burnt dreams was right behind her. Luna set the filly down to have a better dream, and then turned around. "Hi! Nice job on saving that filly. NOT!" Burnt smacked Luna with the non-ringed hoof. Luna retaliated by punching Burnt. Luna grabbed Burnt and flew out of the dream, successfully saving somepony. "See? I saved somepony, like I said," Burnt was not amused. "I don't give a fuck," Burnt managed to get out of Luna's grasp, and he dived down and faded away into his own little lair. "When will he learn NOT to use those words around a princess?" Luna rolled her eyes and went on with what she had to do. Back in his lair, Burnt was talking to himself about how he could possibly attack another pony without being disrupted by Luna. "This girl is gonna annoy me so damn much if she keeps this up." Burnt looked around. He saw a board of pictures of ponies, which he made himself. it had pictures of Big Mac, Sugar Belle, Scootaloo, Button Mash, Apple Bloom, Thorax, Shining armor, Princess Cadance, Garble, which was crossed off in blood, Thunderlane, Tempest Shadow, Spitfire, Soarin', Flurry heart, A unicorn guard, Pipsqueak, Smolder, and Sunburst. Burnt pointed his knife at the unicorn guard. "You will die nicely!" Burnt snickered. A unicorn guardsman was in the middle of a nightmare as well. This time, he was already inside the boiler room, and a little disoriented. "Huh? Where am I? I don't think I was here before..." He mumbled as he looked around. "This place looks so... Like... Surreal. Its weird. Am I going insane?" The guard was very confused. He walked around, and kept watch for anything suspicious. "I feel like something is going to jump out and kill me," He felt like somepony was watching him from behind. He looked back, and saw nothing. "Do you know the way?" A voice said. The guard drew his spear at the sudden voice. "What way do you speak of?" He asked. "The way of the nightmare," The voice echoed. "What do you mean?!" He asked once more. "Oh, c'mon! You know, those conversation you were at, I know you overheard them," The voice perused. "Ok, yes. I did overhear the conversations. You're that Burnt Dreams guy, right?" "Yep," Burnt appeared after saying that. The guard became a little scared at his appearance. "Oh no you don't! I'm not dying tonight!" He yelled as he took his spear with his magic, and pointed it at Burnt. "What's that?" Burnt put his knifed hoof to his ear and leaned in. "Oh? You're scared? Yay!" Burnt smiled evilly. "Ok, lets fight," The guard threw his spear and it landed right into Burnts right eye. Burnt instantly turned his head back, mocking what enemies would do if such a thing happened to them. "Fighting back, eh? Nice, we got a though boy here," He said as he slowly took the spear out of his eye, revealing a black and bloody hole. He blinked and the eye was back there. "How the hell?!" The guard backed off a little. Burnt laughed evilly at the guard cowardice. "You're absolutely hilarious," Burnt said as he lifted a pipe with his magic and threw it right against the guards cheek, and again harder, snapping his neck, killing him. "Make it snappy!" He cackled as the guard fell. He turned around and walked away. Back in his lair, Burnt took some blood that leaked from the guards mouth and made a "X" over the picture of that same guard, like the "X" over Garble's picture. "Dead boy," Burnt muttered as he drew the X. In the afternoon, Celestia found an empty spot where a guard should be. "Don't tell me... He was killed by Burnt Dreams?" She suggested. "I think so. I heard about a guard dead in his bed, and a very strange looking neck, I think it might have been broken," One guard explained. "I bet so," Celestia turned back. "This is getting really bad..." She muttered. "Anything that we can do to help?" The guard asked. "No, no. I can handle this," Celestia replied. "If a third pony dies, then that double deep trouble will become double deep trouble," Celestia heard a voice. "Then maybe you should do something about it..." Celestia briefly heard inside her head. The voice was the same as Burnt Dreams'. "I try, Burnt, I do. But I fail because of you. Now don't call in my head again," Burnt wasn't inside Celestia's mind, but was inside his lair using his magic to speak into Celestia's ears. Luna looked at her, confused. "You cant kill me. I'm immortal, I am everything," "Of course you are. What else would you be?" Celestia looked at Luna, who was looking at her with the same confused face. She was awaiting an answer to Celestia talking to herself. Suddenly, Luna heard Burnt's voice in her mind ad well. "This is the answer you're looking for..." Luna found that the best answer. That was the final time they heard Burnt in their heads. Later that night, Spike saw Burnt inside his room. There were 2 flashes that appeared briefly: one on the door and another all over the walls. "If you are wondering what those flashes were, they were 2 spells I casted, magical sealing and deafening. You can't get out nor can anypony hear you!" Spike was scared and confused, but he knew who he was dealing with. "I know who you are. You are that Dream demon guy," Burnt nodded and backed off a little, not in fear, though. "I just wanted to see how you'd react to seeing something like me. Oh yeah, here's something," Burnt lifted his ringed hoof and retracted the first and third knife. "What's that?" Spike saw Garble doing that to other dragons at times, though he didn't know what it meant. Burnt rolled his eyes when Spike asked that. "It means... Fuck you!" Spike gasped with his eyes opening up. He was offended. "How could you use language like that? That's offensive you know! Garble was doing something wrong with that hand of his..." Burnt laughed. Spike looked at Burnt, unamused. "Can you go away, please? I need sleep," Burnt got closer to Spike and looked at him and lifted his arm. "Look. When I'm here, you're gonna be hurt. When you're sleeping, you're gonna be hurt. 2 doors leading to same place," Burnt took 3 of his knives and stabbed them into Spike's arm, though not too deep, only the tips went in. Spike screamed in pain, and once that happened, the 2 spells faded away, and so did Burnt. Twilight heard the scream and ran over to Spike's room. Spike was crying and holding his injured arm. Twilight went over to Spike. "Spike! Are you okay? What happened?" Spike turned to Twilight, tears in eyes, and then looked back at his injury, which was bleeding, but not too much. "Uh... Burnt D-Dreams came to my ro-room and s-s-stabbed me with his kn-knives..." Twilight put her hoof on Spike's shoulder. "Don't worry Spike. Just come with me and everything will be better," Spike nodded and Twilight went to a medical room with Spike following. When they got there, Twilight patched up Spike's injury with a cast. "Thanks Twilight..." Twilight nodded and hugged Spike. When they let go, Spike walked off with Twilight following. "Good night, Spike," Twilight closed the door, and Spike went back to sleep. The next day, Twilight went to Celestia to tell her and Luna about Spike being attacked by Burnt. "Now Spike is getting attacked? What does this thing have against dragons?" "I have no idea. Is he bored and that's why he attacks things at times?" Twilight asked. "He hurts things for fun? That's crazy," Luna was hoping this threat would be neutralized so nothing bad will happen next. "Where did Burnt hurt Spike and how?" Luna asked. "From what I saw, Burnt stabbed Spike in the arm with 3 of his knives," Celestia lidded her eyes. She was thinking as to why Burnt keeps attacking like that. But, she also doesn't want Burnt to come up with another way to attack, so she'd rather not think about it, since Burnt may be reading her thoughts. "I know 7 ways the demon can be defeated. They are the power of disbelief, the power of love, burial on something called holy ground, rhyming, turning against it, pipe bombs, and, this is the Equestria-only one, bashing it against the crystal heart. And I know how to get the demon out of the dream. All you have to do is grab it and burn yourself. Literally. That's it," "Huh. This information is very useful! Thank you Twilight. Be sure to look after Spike a little more, you never know when Burnt might appear again," Twilight nodded and walked off. Night glider was having a dream as well that night. She was flying around, the sun was up, and it was bright and clear, with only a few clouds here and there. She happily humming her favorite song. She stopped on a cloud to have a rest. "Man, I've been flying for a while," She explained. She curled up, and fell asleep. When she got up, it was nighttime. The moon was shining bright. "How long have I been sleeping? Must've been a while. I gotta get back home," Glider flew back home. But when she opened the door, Burnt Dreams was there. "Who are you?!" Glider asked. "A old guy who likes haunting dreams and killing things in them. Or, Burnt Dreams!" Glider flew away with Burnt following. "You wont kill me!" She yelled. Burnt laughed lowly. "That's what they want you to think," Burnt said as she increased his speed. Glider did the same. The 2 flew around in strange patterns, knocking out multiple clouds in the process. When she lost Burnt, Glider stopped on a cloud and looked around for him. "Where is that thing..?" She asked herself. While she was looking around, Burnt's un-knived hoof came up from the cloud and grabbed Glider's back right leg. "NO! NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" She yelled as she was taken into the cloud. Not long after, a fountain of blood erupted from the cloud, blood filled the sky. "Tell 'em Burnt sent ya!" Burnt bellowed. That was the end of the dream. Back in his lair, Burnt went over to the board with the pictures, which he now calls the victim board. He went over to the board, and with some of the blood from Glider, he drew and "X" through Glider's picture, the exact X like on Garbles and the guards. "I'm not sure if I'm gonna get through this entire board..." Burnt muttered as he drew the X. A group of pegasus ponies were studying the giant pool of blood, and how it was floating strangely. "I have no idea how this could happen. According to that cloud down there, it seems like it came from that cloud... But how?" One pegasus explained. One curious and brave pegasus flew into the cloud and searched. A scream came out of the hole that was in the cloud, and shortly after the pegasus came flying out. He was scared of what was inside that cloud. "What was in there?" A pegasus asked. The scared pegasus shaked his head. "A body... Of some kind of pegasus… I'm not sleeping tonight..." The pegasus was shaking, with his eyes open and his pupils tiny, looking down at the cloud. One pegasus, whose name was aerial bolt, put his hoof over his shoulder. "An actual body? That's... Creepy... How could that happen?" Aerial heard something coming from the cloud the pegasus flew out from. "What was that?" Aerial asked. The once brave pegasus shrugged. "Who knows. Don't look down there," Another pegasus pony didn't listen and flew down there. Instead of the body, he found Burnt Dreams. "Who are you?" the pony asked. "Some guy you probably don't know about. I'm Burnt Dreams, the guy who killed this mare here. I think that's a good enough answer. Bye!" Burnt disappeared. The pegasus was utterly confused at to what he just witnessed. "The heck?" He asked himself. "Hey dude, did you find anything other than that... That body?" Aerial asked. The pegasus down there popped his head out. "Yep. I found the answer to everything..." He replied. Twilight was ready to end this. "Find Burnt, grab him, burn myself. Easy as pie, I hope." She recited. Once she fell asleep, a dream quickly followed. She was back inside the same hallway from her last nightmare. "Back here, huh?" She trotted around, and the open door was still there, with nothing inside, except for a few shelfs with torn books on them. The original blood trail was still there, though it looked as if it was there for a few weeks. As she walked down the corridor, she saw the same hallway adjacent to the one she was in, except, instead of Luna being there, Burnt was there. "There you are. Come on, Come on, Come here!" She persuaded. Burnt ran towards Twilight, not flying. "Lemme guess, you're gonna stop me?" He asked. "Maybe," Twilight replied. While she was running, the room Twilight was in turned into the boiler room. "Wow, he is an idiot," Twilight said under her breath. Twilight stopped, turned around and faced Burnt, who was running towards her. "Thanks for making this easy!" Burnt didn't expect what was coming up next, however. Twilight dodged Burnt and tripped him, grabbed him and put her hoof against a pipe, waking her up. However, once she grabbed Brunt, the area quickly went from the boiler room to Celestia's room. Because of that, Twilight woke up inside Celestia's room. "Why am I in Celestia's room?" She quietly asked herself. The flashes of the deafening spell and the sealing spell appeared briefly, though there was no sound. While Twilight searched for Burnt, she did it almost silently, to not accidentally wake Celestia up. Twilight opened up a closet and sure enough, Burnt was there. He jumped out to Twilight, making a loud "bang!", which woke Celestia up. "What's with the sound?" She groaned. She perked up when she noticed Twilight, though she didn't say anything, to not interrupt Twilight. Twilight wasn't directly hurting Burnt, she was trying to tire her out, so she could try disbelief, though she was getting tired herself. When was knocked into a wall on her hind legs, she managed to stand up just long enough to kick Burnt in the leg to make her fall. When Burnt started to get up, Twilight turned back. "No..." Burnt muttered. He backed away, though just a little bit. "Go away. All you do is kill ponies, and traumatize the poor things. No-one needs you here, we all want this to stop. To bring back peace. We don't want some dream-haunting, pony-killing thing. All that energy we gave you? Taken back to their rightful positions. I can't believe I'm saying this, but go to Tartarus," The words weakened Burnt to the core. He tried to attack Twilight, but since he was weakened, he dissolved away into nothingness. "You did it! I'm so proud of you!" Celestia congratulated Twilight. Twilight turned around and smiled. "Thanks! But I gotta get going now. I'm very tired and I need sleep, so, see ya tomorrow!" Celestia waved, and Twilight flew off. Burnt, now locked inside the nightmare realm, didn't lose confidence just yet. "I heard about some kind of crystal empire... Heh... Sounds fun," He said to himself. Burnt laughed evilly into the darkness, ready to plan his next move for when he comes back.
