Shining huffed in defeat; no, it was not unusual for Twilight to forget about the outside world when her focus was stuck on whatever current project had her attention. But still, his gut feeling screamed that something was amiss. It had been ever since his sister announced she was headed west on her own, and the feeling had never gone away since. But Twilight was in trouble. He was sure of it.
His shoulders drooping slightly, Shining Armor sighed in defeat once more. "Maybe you're right. Maybe."
Cadance gave him a quick peck on the cheek while wrapping him in her warm embrace. "I promise, you're worrying about nothing." she reassured him.
Another spray of cold sea water burst up and soaked Shining Armor once more, but the stinging salt water did little to break his steely gaze from the gray land mass that was slowly growing larger on the horizon. Ever since the ship's lookout had called out that the coastline of the Minotaur Nation was now within sight, Shining Armor had been standing alone at the ship's bow, one hand tightly grasping the hilt of his sword as his eyes remained locked forward.
"I'm coming, Twily." he growled.
Despite being reassured every day, he could no longer stand by idly and wait once Twilight's absence reached two months. Barely finding time to scribble a hasty note to his wife, he quickly assembled a crew to set out across the North Luna Ocean to the one city the Minotaur's occupied despite their large territory. The ship he had chosen to take was the fastest in Equestria's Western fleet, and though the captain was doubtful one lone ship would survive any hostile activity, Shining Armor assured him that their mission was to simply find Princess Twilight Sparkle and return home peacefully.
There was an air of uneasiness among the entire crew as well; Minotaurs rarely visited Equestria, not to mention the two nations barely had any sort of formal diplomatic ties before Twilight's mission. While there was the one Minotaur embassy in Canterlot, Equestria held no such office in the Minotaur Nation. In fact, Princess Twilight and her escorts were believed to be the first ponies to visit the solitary land in hundreds of years.
"There it is, sir! City of Cretan, dead ahead!" the lookout called, spying the port through his spyglass.
However, the captain's attention was focused to the ship's starboard side. With an uneasy gulp, he quickly approached Shining Armor and pointed to what he had seen.
"Sir, there's a ship approaching to intercept us. It's... it's the Waning Crescent." he said with worry.
Finally tearing his eyes away from the mass of land in front of him, Shining Armor grabbed the captain's spyglass and looked towards the other ship. Confusion wracked his mind as he saw the ship that had transported Twilight to the Minotaur Nation now approaching with a crew made up entirely of minotaurs, not a single pony in sight. "Raise sails. Let's see what they wan't but do not let a single one board." Shining Armor commanded.
The crew carried out his orders, the last sailor managing to arm himself just as the commandeered ship pulled up alongside theirs. The minotaurs made no indication that they wished to come aboard; instead, one of the beasts donning an officer's uniform approached the rail of his ship and bellowed out his message.
"Unidentified ship, you are trespassing in waters claimed by the mighty Minotaur Nation! Turn and leave now, you are permitted to travel no further!"
The pony captain looked to Shining Armor for orders to turn the ship around, but Shining Armor had no intention of leaving empty-hoofed. "I am Captain Shining Armor of the Equestrian Royal Guard! I am here to bring Princess Twilight Sparkle and her entourage home and demand to speak to your superiors!" he challenged back.
Shining Armor's reply caught the Minotaur officer of guard. "You may not continue, now turn around-" he started after a pause.
"Then I shall return with the entire Western Fleet if you do not allow me!" Shining countered.
The minotaur stood silent at a loss for words for a few more moments before conceding. "Very well, follow us to the docks but do not stray!"
Satisfied with his first victory, Shining relayed his orders to his crew before returning to his private quarters to change into his battle armor. Just as he secured his sword in place Shining's second in command knocked and entered, having changed outfits as well in preparation for things to go badly. "Sir, shall I prepare all squads for trouble?" he inquired.
Shining Armor shook his head no. "Just have Quick Blitz and Sapphire Light prepared to join me. You and the rest shall remain on the ship."

Shining Armor left the enclosed cabin moments later, finding the ship had now entered the calm waters as shore was now just minutes away. The dockyard of Cretan was clearly visible as were the burly guards awaiting the two ships to dock. Tall columns rose from the ground up hundreds of feet to support the stone roof which was adorned in thousands of intricate carvings and designs. Four minotaur guards stood on either side of them, moving only to open the heavy doors for the unexpected visitors. "What creature encroaches on my empire without permission?" the minotaur roared once Shining Armor stopped and stood in front of him.
Puffing out his chest, Shining Armor spoke up assertively but respectfully. "I am Captain Shining Armor of Princess Celestia's Royal Guard. I am here seeking Princess Twilight Sparkle of Equestria to bring her back-"
The minotaur sitting atop the throne suddenly stood up, his massive size fully on display as he easily towered over Shining Armor. "You shall NOT take her back, for she is now property of Minos, Caesar of the Minotaur Nation!"

Despite the confidence behind Minos's words, Shining Armor refused to believe him. 'He's wrong, I can still save her. She's going to be okay.' But the minotaur saw the glimmer of hope in his eyes and decided to crush it once and for all.
"Would you like to hear about the first night I fucked your sister? I didn't even need to hold her down, she was that easy to talk into letting me fuck her. Shining would have traded the Crystal Empire to be able to punch Minos once. Just once. But the minotaur knew he was getting to his captive and continued on.

Minos watched in satisfaction as his words sunk in. Shining gritted his teeth in frustration and anger, his fists tightly clenched, but ultimately he remained helpless to retaliate. Choosing his words carefully, Minos decided it was time for the final blow.
"I'm sure you're wondering what I plan on doing with you. Well, I don't plan on killing you." he said. "You yourself are of no worth to me as far as I can tell, but I was told all about your lovely wife, Princess Cadance."
Shining Armor's gut wrenched at the mention of his wife. "You'll never be able to get me to betray her. No matter what you do to me, I'm never going to give her up to you." he spat. "You and your minotaurs will never be able to invade the Crystal Empire. Stronger villains than you have tried and failed."
"I have no intention of leaving my homeland. Instead, she will come to me." Minos said.
"Cadance won't come just because you're holding me hostage."
"No, she's going to come because you asked her to." Minos replies. "That other pegasus that came over with my pet, I sent him back to your homeland on your ship. He has a message for your wife, that her expertise is needed to finalize our diplomatic talks. He assured me that she'd be more than happy to come help with something like that. Once she is here I'll allow you to watch every step as we make her into another breeding machine for our race."
Two loud, sharp knocks on the cell door interrupted Minos's talk. "It seems your two guards broke sooner than I thought." he said, turning to leave. "I'll keep my word and send you that broken mare in a bit. I'm sure you'd enjoy some relief after hearing how I took your sister."
Shining let out a roar as he tried once more to break free of his shackles, earning a smirk from Minos who spoke up just before leaving the cell. "You won't break free. You may as well accept your fate and thank The Creator I don't plan on killing you. Besides, you should be happy. You're about to be an uncle."
Even after the door slammed shut, Shining struggled urgently to free himself. Hours passed before he allowed exhaustion to overwhelm him and he collapsed onto the cold stone floor, panting heavily as the last remnants of hope slipped away. Everything inside his cell was solidly built to stand up to the toughest of minotaur prisoners, so surely a mere pony would have no chance.
The cell door creaked open once more, but Shining Armor didn't bother getting up or even looking up as a minotaur guard entered and tossed a large bucket of water within his range of movement. The minotaur left without a word as well, but after the door slammed shut again Shining Armor heard that he was not alone anymore.
"Cock..."
Snapping his head up, Shining Armor saw the source of the feminine yet scratchy voice he just heard. Crawling towards him was a familiar, rainbow-haired mare that was one of his sister's best friends, but the usual bright sparkle he had been so used to seeing in her eyes was now replaced with a crazed, wild thirst. Her body, while still toned thanks to a lifetime of athletics, bore countless scars and marks from beatings and torture Shining couldn't possibly begin to imagine. A strand of drool escaped from her agape mouth as she continued her crawl towards him, her eyes scanning his body before focusing straight at his crotch and the body part that lay hidden underneath his clothes.

Shining sat up and shuffled backwards, away from her advances. "Rainbow! Rainbow Dash, snap out of it! It's me!" he tried to reason with her, but his words failed to register in her broken mind.

With no other option, Shining lashed out with his other leg and connected his foot to the side of Rainbow Dash's head, causing her to crumple to the ground as she was knocked unconscious.
"Shit! Rainbow Dash!" Shining exclaimed. Rushing to her side, he made sure she was still breathing and not too seriously hurt before he cautiously examined the rest of her worn, battered body. Most of the scars on her body were a month old or older, no doubt inflicted on her as the minotaurs attempted to break her spirit, mind, and body. However, there were plenty of fresh bruises all over her body as well, evidence that some of her abusers enjoyed beating the helpless mare while raping her. In an attempt to retain some modesty Shining avoided inspecting her genitals at all, though he shuddered to guess how badly she had been tortured around those parts of her body as well. With his quick examination over, he was slightly relieved that she wasn't forced to carry around an unborn beast inside her own belly, though he quickly remembered what Minos has said earlier about her and retracted his feeling of relief. Whatever she had endured, it was a miracle she wasn't dead.
In one last attempt of decency, Shining removed his shirt and covered Rainbow's upper body with it before shuffling away a few feet. He prayed that Rainbow would be her old self when she came to, that she could somehow free him from his shackles and they could go rescue Twilight and all escape before Cadance fell into the trap set before her. It didn't take long before his own exhaustion began to catch up with him, and though he tried his best to fight the urge to sleep he eventually lost the fight and let slumber overcome him. He was out of energy, out of ideas, and almost out of hope. All he could do now was hope that somepony, anypony out there, could save them all now.
