Accidental Dimensional Tranportation

Chapter 1 – The Device

“Princess, power levels at 79% and rising” “Solar panels at 100% efficiency” “Portal active, Princess Luna!” Oh god, Princess, power levels at 200%” “Shut it down.” “We can’t!”

~~~Two hours earlier~~~

Princess Luna had commissioned the construction of a device to control dimensional travel, and she knew of the dangers of inter-dimensional travel. Midnight Nightingale was in charge of construction, and various other servants were in charge of various other things, such as the solar power collector unit and monitoring. Luna herself was in charge of everyone. The device looked like the gate of Immortality, if you know what that looks like. Passing through it when activated and calibrated would transport you to another dimension. However, wrong calibration or power overload would cause the device to explode, transporting anypony within 10 feet to the targeted dimension, with no way back.

After the explosion of the device, Princess Luna and Midnight Nightingale awoke to find themselves in a pastel-colored dimension that resembled islands that could disobey the laws of Gravity, while whatever was upon them had to. “Princess, any idea where we are?” asked Midnight. “I have no idea, which is fairly rare indeed.” Responded Princess Luna.
