Yay For A Day
Fluttershy flew down the semi-crowded streets of Ponyville with a to-do list grasped firmly in her hand. As she ran, her mind was filled with all the possibilities of what could go wrong the next day. All those thoughts, however, were immediately shot down by one of the few things Fluttershy found that could end all her worries: Twilight's love. Fluttershy was on a mission to make tomorrow enjoyable for Twilight, and her own doubts were not going to stop her. Twilight had been called on by her duties to go to various cities and towns across Equestria in order to do... whatever princesses are supposed to do, Fluttershy guessed. Twilight tried explaining why she was leaving, but every single piece of information manage to enter Shy's left ear, and promptly peace it out her right...
Whatever the reason Twilight was gone didn't matter. What mattered was that today she came back, and more important than that, tomorrow she had the day off. The rest of the gang had somehow managed to find themselves too busy to spend a day with Twilight, and Shy was faced with a minour internal struggle. She debated whether she was happy about the others' absence or not, and in the end, she decided she didn't care. She got the day with her love, and that's what she was focused on.
Shy was headed to a new shop in town that offered a selection of souvenirs. It seemed weird to get Twi a souvenir from her own home town, but Shy decided Twi could keep it to remind herself about home, and the adoring lover that was waiting patiently for Twi's return. As Shy bobbed and weaved between the people in the street, she glanced at her 9x11 sheet of paper in her hand. She had gotten meal plans sorted; she passed off her animal keeping duties to Discord, who was entirely supportive of the chaotic experience called romance; and had cleaned her house for Twi's arrival. Seeing as how the three item list was no longer necessary, she tossed it in the trash and continued her way to the gift shop.
The store was small, rustic, and honestly quite plain. Ther was nothing, barring a lone sign post, to distinguish it apart from any of the neighbouring buildings. Shy stepped into the store and was immediately greeted by the three employees simultaneously saying, "Welcome! Please take a good look around!" before silently returning to their individual directives.
Shy shyly stumbled toward the counter and was greeted with a smiling red haired man with red eyes. "Hiya! What can I do for you? Looking for anything in particular?"
"Um... Yes. I'm looking for... um... a souvenir. Maybe not a souvenir... Just a... I would like..."
Shy's bashful stammering was interrupted by the red haired cashier. "A souvenir? Ah! Someone important to you coming to town?" he inquired. Shy nodded slowly, but gave a sigh of relief and a small smile to thank the man. "Hm... Let's see... You could look at some of the hats we have." Shy shook her head. "The scarves?" More shaking. "Snow globes?" More shaking. "Walking Cane?" No. "Bobblehead?" No. Harmonica?" No.
"Hm..." The cashier pondered with his fingers on his chin. "What kind of person are you shopping for? Is this for anything in particular?"
Shy perked up before perking down again. Uh... Y-yeah. It's for my... my girlfriend. I really want tomorrow to be... to be memorable."
"Hm? Can you speak up please." he responded while leaning in with curiousity.
"I said I wanted tomorrow to be memorable."
"Ah... To be memorable...? Hm... You looking for... 'special' products?" the cashier asked. "I can look around back for something you two could... um..." Shy was surprised he asked such a blatantly obscene question, but she was also curious as to what 'special' products they had. What could a shop like this have that wasn't plain and ordinary. She had already cut her losses on finding an appropriate souvenir, seeing as this was the fourth shop she had visited, and was disappointed in her inability to find anything. The cashier noticed her unhidden feelings and proposed to her, "If you can't find anything, then why don't you make something?" Shy perked up omce again, filled by curiousity and confusion. "Like you said, instead of giving her something to remember you by, why don't you make tomorrow memorable? Try something new. Nudge nudge wink wink."
Shy thought it over in her head. She wondered if Twi would even care about a nick-knack. Shy eventually concluded that, either way, Twi would only really care about the thought put into the gift. Now emboldened, Shy worked up her courage and nodded to the cashier. She took a deep breath, puffed out her chest, stood taller and prouder, and gave her final answer. "O-okay..."
The cashier went through a door behind the counter and didn't come back out for several minutes. When he did, all he had was a 9x11 sheet of paper. "Sorry, it's still a little cluttered back there. Here." he said as he handed Shy the paper. Before Shy could open the folded paper, the cashier put his hand of it and gave her a warning. "This is a spell. A special spell. Don't be shaken or disappointed about your girlfriend turning your offer down. On this paper is the warnings, how to cast it, and how to reverse it." The cashier took his hand off the paper and took out another 9x11 sheet of paper. "Now, we have a love it or your money back policy. Just sign here on the dotted line."
Shy did as she was told, and then smiled warmly to the cashier. "What's your name?"
"Ah. Speaking at volume now, eh? The name's Roze. These other two are Gabe and Electro. I hope you come around again!" As he waved her goodbye, Roze rested his arms on the counter and gave a sigh of contentment as he watched his customer leave. "Hey Gabe?"
"Yeah?" replied another employee who was working on organising products behind the counter.
"You ever think about working at a sex shop?"
Gabe recoiled slightly. "Uh... Why?"
"Because, you see what we just did? We made someone happy." Roze answered while looking wistfully out the front window. "I bet that in another universe, that's my job. I bet he AUme must be so happy."
Meanwhile, in another universe...
Roze sat at the table of his beach resort hotel room with his computer and the now answered survey. the top 9x11 page had three questions in large letters and obnoxious hearts all over it.
How would you say this experience affected your relationship?
I'd certainly say we are closer now!
If you had to guess, without measuring, how wide is your partner's cock/clitoris?
What!? How are you supposed to know just from looking?
0.7cm
Would you compare your experience as akin to a pillow being slipped into a pillow case, or more akin to a marshmallow being violated by a chocolate bar?
(Surprisingly, the last question was left unanswered...)
Roze had just finished emailing the results to his tyrant overlord of a boss before he closed his laptop, pushed it away, slammed his head on the desk, and began sobbing...
Gabe gave a small smile, understanding that Roze's only wish in life is to make others happy. "I bet he is."
Roze turned to Electro, who was stacking things onto the shelves, and then to Gabe, and shared his thoughts with them. "You know what I learned today? I learned that Sex Is Magic."
