Cupcakes 4Ever

That very next morning Twilight was rudely awaken by Spike. “C’mon C’mon C’mon we have to start looking!” Spike explained while jumping on her unicorn friend. Before Spike could land on Twilight again he was caught mid-air by one of Twilights levitation spells then thrown against a book shelf. Spike hit the shelf with a loud thud and slid down the wall. As he hit the ground a gigantic pile of books followed completely covering the dragon in a pile of books.

“Ok Spike!” A sleepy Twilight said as she rubbed her eyes. A few minutes passed and Spike and Twilight were ready to set off to search for their missing friends. But as they opened the door they were greeted by a familiar face. It was Pinkie Pie smiling from ear to ear as she said. “Hey Twilight, how was your vacation?”

“It was great I-.” Twilight was cut short.

“Don’t you think we should get going Twilight?” Spike interrupted.

“Oh, what ya doin?” Pinkie asked.

“WE ARE GOING TO LOOK FOR RARITY! Spike yelled. Twilight turns her head suddenly and stares at her dragon assistant. Then Spike continues “And Rainbow Dash hehe.” Spike laughing uncomfortably while giving Twilight a generic apology face.

“That’s better Spike.” Twilight continued. “So what are you up to Pinkie?”

“I was going to make some CUPCAKES! I would love if you could help me!” The pink pony said jumping up and down in excitement.

Twilight responds “Sorry, I would love to help and catch up but we really need to get going.”

“But I have sooo much special ingredient!” Pinkie laughed.

“Sorry Pinkie, we really need to find out what happened to our friends. Maybe later ok?” Twilight explained. Pinkie being her usual self then says.
“PLEEEEEEEEEEEESE?!? I have such a big order I need to finish!”

“Wait, so what is it? You have too much ingredients or you have a big order?” Spike asked.
Anxiously Pinkie Pie looks around. “Um, er, uhh…BOTH! Yep both of those things!” Pinkie explained while giving the two a nervous smile. As Pinkie started to sweat a little Twilight says.

“Again I’m really sorry Pinkie. You know I would love to help but our friends are missing. I would ask if you would like to help us search. But you seem stressed out maybe you could get another pony to help you with your cupcakes.” Pinkies hair deflates making it strait then she says.
“Well ok I’ll just see you two later.” Twilight put her hoof on Pinkie’s shoulder.
“Don’t worry I’ll help when we find our friends.” As the two walked off Spike turns around and waves at Pinkie.
“Cya later!”

Now upset Pinkamena says to herself. “That puny dragon almost got me caught! Screw the list! He must go first!” Suddenly her hair pops back to normal and she hops back to Sugarcube Corner to devise a plan.

After a Few hours of searching Ponyville, Spike and Twilight have had no luck finding their friends. “I just have no idea where they could have gone!” Twilight said to Spike. Then suddenly someone called out for her.

“Twilight, Come over here! I need to ask you something!” Twilight quickly turns around to see a salespony at a fabric booth waving her over. Twilight and Spike walk over to the salespony.

“I’m sorry but we are not interested in buying anything at the moment.” Twilight said

“Oh no, I just wanted to know if you have seen Rarity at all. A couple weeks ago she asked me to hold this fabric for her and she said she would be back for it in four hours tops!” The salespony explained.

“That’s not like Rarity to miss out on fabric she wanted. Something isn’t right here Spike. But I have no idea what could have happened.” Twilight said while she tried to think of an explanation.

“Eeyup.” Twilight heard from behind. She turns around to see Big Macintosh. “Have you two seen Applejack? She said she was going to Pinkies to help her at her bakery about a week ago. I haven’t seen her sense!” Big Macintosh explained but not in his usual voice. He sounded worried.

“What? Now Applejack is missing? We were just looking for Rainbow Dash and Rarity.”

Big Macintosh replies. “Well if you do see her please tell her I’m very worried. I’m going to continue looking for her. Good luck with your search.”

“Thanks Big Mac you too.” Spike said.

“Eeyup.” Big Macintosh said as he walked away.

“I just have no idea what could have happened to them!” Twilight said in confusion.

“Hey, maybe Fluttershy can help us look for them.” Spike suggested.

“That’s a great idea Spike! Let’s go over to her house and see if see is there.” Twilight and Spike started to walk towards Fluttershy’s house.

Now arriving at Fluttershy’s House the two walk up to the door and knocked. Several minutes pass but finally the door started opening. “Oh thank Celestia! She’s not missing too.” Twilight said in relief. But when the door became fully opened they didn’t see anypony.
Confused Spike says. “Wait then who opened the door?” He then hears something clear their throat quietly.
“Ahem.”
Twilight and Spike both look down to see Fluttershy’s pet rabbit Angel. “Oh hey there Angel, have you seen Fluttershy?” Angel shook his head is side to side. “No?” When was the last time you seen her?” Angel then taps on the wood floor seven times with his hind leg. “Seven hours?” Angel, giving Twilight an annoyed look he shakes his head once more. “Seven days?!?” Twilight was shocked. Angel agrees by shaking his head up and down. “Do you know where she went?” Angel quickly runs off and a few moments then returns with a letter in his mouth. Angel drops it on the floor. Could you get that for me spike?” Twilight asked.
“Why?”
“Because I have hoofs not fingers…” She said while holding up her right hoof.
Spike says under his breath. “Never stopped you from picking up stuff before.” He then pickups the letter and reads it to Twilight. “Dear Fluttershy, I want to invite you to make some cupcakes with me. Please come and help me. I would mean so much to me. Pinkie Pie.”
“Hmm, let’s try Pinkie Pie’s place maybe she can shed some light on where Applejack and Fluttershy went to.”

Now at sugar cube corner Twilight and Spike knock on the door. Pinkie Pie quickly answers and a big smile comes across her face. “Ghuahh!” She gasps. “You’ve come to help me make cupcakes!” She said with excitement.

“Sorry Pinkie but we actually came here to ask you a few questions.” Twilight explained.

“Okie dokie loki! C’mon in!” Pinkie replied. Twilight and Spike stepped into Sugarcube Corner. As they did they felt the temperature difference because the ovens have been on. The room was filled with a sweet aroma of delicious baked goods. The display cases were filled with magnificently decorated pastries such as cinnamon rolls, fudge bars, cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, and cupcakes.

“Wow, Pinkie is smells great in here!” Twilight said.

“Oh, I just got done making some cupcakes!”

“Ooo, what flavor? All this searching is making me hungry.” Spike said while rubbing his stomach.

“Well I just finished this apple flavored cupcake with tearstain frosting!” Pinkie giggled.

“Tearstain, why is it called that?” Spike asked.

Pinkie replies. “Umm…oh! The frosting is so good it will make you want to cry!”

“Well ok could I try one?”

“Of course, I even made a special cupcake just for you Spikey! I even put some gems in it for you!” Pinkie handed Spike a cupcake.

“Thanks Pinkie!” Spike said before eating the whole cupcake in one bit. Mouth still full of cupcake he says. “Hmm, WOW this is delicious! What did you put in this?”

Pinkie starts to laugh. “Now if I told you it wouldn’t be a secret now would-” Pinkie was interrupted by Twilight.

“So I wanted to ask, have you seen any of our friends?”

“Mmm, nope!” Pinkie replied.

“But this note says you invited Applejack and Fluttershy over here to help you bake.” Twilight gave the note to Pinkie.

“Oh this? Yea they came over. Then they help me make them some cupcakes and they left.”
“So they didn’t tell you where they were going?” Twilight asked.

“Hmm, oh! Now that I think about it Applejack and Fluttershy said they were going to Zecora’s hut!” Pinkie lied.

Puzzled Twilight asks. “Why would they go there?”

“Beats me.” Pinkie shrugged

“Well then we better get going come on spike lets-” Twilight paused and looked around.
“Spike, where are you?”

“Over here.” Moaned Spike from the other room. Twilight walks into the room to see Spike pale sweaty and puking into a bucket.
“Oh Spike! Are you alright? What happened?”

“Ohhh, I don’t know, I was feeling fine a moment ago.” Spike explained

“You’re in no condition to go with me to the Everfree forest with me. Let’s get you home.”

Pinkie interrupts. “Well you can’t just leave him all alone at your house! Tell you what I’ll take care of Spike while you go to Zecora’s!”

“Well I would hate to leave spike alone. You also took good care of Poundcake and Pumpkincake too.” Twilight said.

“Then it’s settled! So you run along and find our friends and I’ll make Spikey feel all better!” Pinkamena promised.

“Ok, Let me just say goodbye to Spike.” Twilight walks over to the pale dragon and says. “Hey there I’m going to look for our friends. Pinkie offered to take care of you ok? I’ll be back here before you know it.”

“Oh, okay twilight I’ll see you soon. Ahhhh!” Spike cringed while holding his stomach.
“Okie dokie lokie! We better let him get some rest! Off you go!” Pinkie Pie started to push Twilight towards the door.

“Ok, I’ll be back soon tell spike I hope he gets better.” Twilight said as she walked out the front door. Pinkie quickly closes the door. Right then Twilight started to get a bad feeling but ignore it. “I’d better hurry to Zecora’s.” Twilight thought as she began galloping towards the Everfree forest.

Back inside Spike moaned. “Oooh, Pinkie could you get me a glass of water please?”

“You see I would love to but I think you’re going to pass out!” Pinkie giggled. Before Spike could answer he was out cold.
