Chapters Sunset Shimmer woke up after another nightmare. It was the same thing, every time.
○ NIGHTMARE ○
‘Girls, you have to believe me. I didn't post your secrets,’ Sunset said desperately
‘No matter what you tell us, we don’t have to listen,’ Applejack said coldly
‘You betrayed us by posting that online,’ Rainbow Dash said angrily
‘Go away. Secret stealer,’ Pinkie said
• SCENE CHANGE •
‘So, you finally understand they were never your friends,’ the demon said
‘Shut up! Shut up! Shut up,’ Sunset said covering her ears
‘We framed you and you can't do anything about it,’ the CMC taunted
‘There is one thing you can do,’ the demon taunted
‘Never.’
‘Either that, or run back to mommy with your tail between your legs and beg her for forgiveness,’ the demon continued
○ END NIGHTMARE ○
“Fuck. It's just a nightmare,” she said to herself “Well; the second half anyways.”
Looking at the calendar, she realized Christmas was approaching. For two months she had been tortured by the other students over something she never did.
Anon-a-Miss.
The online troublemaker that started her personal hell. She was assaulted by the students with the teachers not helping. They apparently thought she went back to her old ways of manipulating others and thought Sunset deserved what she got.
“Why won't anyone believe me? After all I've done to redeem myself,” she asked
Looking at the diary in front of her, she read the last message she wrote to her friend, Twilight before heading to sleep.
I believe I found who is responsible for this Anon-a-Miss. Unfortunately, they covered their tracks too well and would never admit to it. This will be the last time we talk. Goodbye Twilight
Sunset, PLEASE do not do what I hope you aren't planning. You could come back to Equestria and start over. I love you so much Your mother, Celestia
The next morning she withdrew a box from the bottom of her closet and removed the contents.
“Thank you for giving this to me Discord. I told you how much I feared for my safety and made you a promise not to use it for any other purpose. Unfortunately, this is one promise I have to break. I can't go back home, and I can't stay here. This is my only option as I don't have any paperwork that would allow to transfer schools.”
A simple .32 caliber revolver sat inside along with its bullets. With a sigh, she reluctantly placed it in her backpack and got dressed for her final day at school. Once there, time seemed to drag on. Heading to her locker, were the usual graffiti messages.
‘She-Demon’
‘Anon-a-Miss’
As usual, she just ignored the other students as they intentionally shoved into her. Sunset refused to acknowledge their abuse and carried on without feeling or emotion. In every class, the students decided to pelt her with paper balls and erasers right in front of the teachers.
‘Sunslut Shimmer!’
‘Demon bitch!’
‘What does the pony freak want now?’
‘Do us all a favor and just die already!’
“You don't have to worry about that,” Sunset thought
Just before lunch, she headed into the bathroom and placed a single round in the chamber. After getting a simple salad to eat, she headed over to the table currently occupied by the Rainbooms and sat down.
“Go away, Anon-a-Bitch! We don't want you here,” Rainbow Dash said throwing a french fry at Sunset
“What does Sunslut Shimmer want,” Rarity demanded
Regardless of the comments made or items thrown at her, Sunset ate in silence. After returning from the trash can, she calmly set her backpack on the table and withdrew her pistol.
“Goodbye,” Sunset said calmly
To everyone's horror, she placed the barrel in her mouth and fired. The table behind her ended up getting covered in blood and brain matter as Sunset dropped dead. Students ran screaming while someone went to fetch Principal Celestia. Fluttershy started shaking at the sight while holding back tears. Pinkie’s hair immediately deflated and became dark and straight. Rarity had to hold Applejack’s hat in one hand and her hair back with the other as the latter expelled her lunch into the closest trashcan.
“Call an ambulance,” a student yelled
“An ambulance is for the living, not the deceased,” came a reply
“What. The. Fuck,” was all Dash managed to say
“Oh my god, Sunset. What the hell happened,” Celestia demanded running into the cafeteria
“She, she,” Pinkie managed to stutter before breaking down in tears
“Anon-a-Miss drove her to this end. We could have done something to prevent this,” Luna said trailing behind before pointing a finger at the Rainbooms “You should have prevented this.”
Sweetie Bell, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo looked at each other silently deciding what to do next. Now that Sunset was dead, they could simply delete the account and no one would know. They could also leave it up as a ‘tribute’ to her.
“Everyone, gather your belonging. We must call the authorities. You will all remain outside until they dismiss you,” Celestia ordered
“What about that book? What do we do with it,” Fluttershy asked
“I've already taken the liberty of sending a friend. Ah, Discord. You accomplished what I asked,” Luna asked as he returned
“Of course, Captain. Here's the book you want. Although I wouldn't tell anything to your friend, the Princess, just yet,” Discord answered “I also have a friend working on some paperwork as well. Chrysalis is completing that as we speak.”
“Very well. You made sure no one saw you,” Luna asked
“I wouldn't be who I am, if someone did,” he replied
“Let's get out of here and head to my office. Police are on their way,” Celestia said
The group followed behind and managed to fit everyone in the office. Discord sat on the desk while Luna and Celestia sat down in their chairs. Unbeknownst to anyone else; and seemingly against her will, Scootaloo had put on a pair of rubber gloves and removed the pistol from Sunset’s grasp before walking away.
“Who the hell are you,” Dash asked pointing at Discord
“I was a former commander of Special Forces with my friend Chrysalis. I'm not getting into detail, but we've taken care of events like this before,” Discord answered
“Discord was under my leadership with the Changelings. He was simply known as ‘Chaos’ while I was known as ‘Reaper’,” Luna replied while Discord received a message on his phone
“Changing the topic, every one of you is being detained until further notice,” Celestia replied
“You can’t do that,” Applejack argued
“Considering the five of you were present when she died; yes we can,” Luna countered
The girls heard their phones signal another posting from Anon-a-Miss. Someone decided to post a photo of Sunset’s body with the caption ‘Ding dong the demon’s dead’.
“Girls, what do we do,” Apple Bloom asked quietly as they sat outside
“Leave it up. Make it a memorial page,” Sweetie Bell suggested
“I agree. It could be suspicious if we delete it now,” Scootaloo replied with nervousness in her voice
“Agreed. It stays up,” they decided
“Something to add Scoots,” Bloom asked
“No. Nothing. Why would you think I'm hiding something,” Scootaloo asked quickly and defensively
“Definitely hiding something,” Sweetie said
“Alright, I am. Just not here,” a defeated Scootaloo said
“Let's go. The police are here,” Celestia said
“Who exactly are these five,” a police officer asked as he approached the principal’s office
“Shining Armor, these five were friends with the deceased,” Celestia said
“Why did she do it? Any note or something,” Shining asked
“Something called Anon-a-Miss. An online profile that started sharing secrets about our students. Many believed Sunset Shimmer to be the culprit,” Luna replied
“Her last word to us was ‘goodbye’ before she pulled the trigger,” Applejack said before crying
“We left her when our secrets were revealed. We're shitty friends,” Rainbow Dash said sadly
“In my personal opinion, I agree with you,” Officer Shining Armor said
“What will happen to her now,” Fluttershy whispered
“Fortunately, Miss Shimmer had a guardian looking after her. It is their responsibility to set up funeral arraignments,” Shining said
“What about Anon-a-Miss? What happens with that,” Rarity asked
“Our computer experts tracked her to this school, but that's where it stops. If they do not come forward, we cannot do anything more,” Shining said sadly
Shining had multiple officers take Rainbow Dash and her friends home. The rest of the student body was already questioned and dismissed to go home.
“So, Discord; what are we going to do with Sunset,” Luna asked as they stood outside the school
“I'm going to have a closed-casket funeral for her. It's the least I could do for her,” Discord answered
“So; Chaos has a soft side, after all,” a voice said “Captain, Commander.”
“Sergeant. It's nice to see the Queen has a sense of humor,” Discord countered
“Thank you Chrysalis for your help,” Luna replied hugging her friend
“You're welcome. It's the least I could do. I saw the photo that was uploaded earlier today. Such a shame to see a beautiful young woman do that. I would gladly have became her mother if it meant having a proper family,” Chrysalis said
Due to the nature of what happened, Canterlot High School was closed for the reminder of the week. On Friday, the funeral for Sunset Shimmer was held in the school gym for anyone that wanted to pay their final respects. Surprisingly, the entire student body and teachers showed up, with everyone wearing red and gold in Sunset’s honor.
“Sunset Shimmer had a very rough time. While she may have started manipulating others, she changed with the assistance of Twilight Sparkle. One incident changed all the progress that was made. Farewell Sunset Shimmer. I hope you are at peace,” Celestia said sadly before kissing the casket lid
“The five of us were horrible friends to you in the end. We're so very sorry that it ended like this,” Pinkie Pie said speaking for the others
After that, the rest of the school stayed quiet knowing they played a role in the death of Sunset. Apple Bloom and the others agreed to quit the account, but leave it up as a tribute. Flash Sentry joined Applejack and the others as pallbearers as they carried the casket to the gravesite.
“Goodbye Sunset,” Dash said as she threw the first shovel of dirt in the hole
“I'm sorry I never listened,” AJ said next
“You really deserved more credit then we gave you,” Rarity added
“Thank you for all the help at the shelter,” Fluttershy said
“I'm sorry we fucked up,” Pinkie added throwing more dirt as the girls filled in the grave
The following Monday, Celestia headed to work and saw someone she knew couldn't be there. She rubbed her eyes to see if it wasn't from a lack of sleep.
“That can't be. Sunset died last week,” she said
Following behind the path taken, Celestia was led to a bathroom where Sunset left and headed to the cafeteria. Moments later, she watched the entire scene of Sunset’s death be replayed and was shocked to see it clearly. Celestia willed her body to move and headed to the lockers to begin cleaning the graffiti left on Sunset’s locker. While she cleaned the locker; a single message was written on three particular lockers, in what seemed like blood.
‘Anon-a-Miss’.
Celestia immediately recognized the owners as Sweetie Bell, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo and was shocked at the sight. Another message showed up on dozens of other lockers.
‘Guilty’.
“Each of them shared secrets to those three,” Celestia commented out loud
A new message appeared on the message board, that was not there previously. It just appeared and was written in ink.
‘Yes. Bring them to justice’.
“I will do what I can,” Celestia said
‘Thank you’.
● HUMANE FIVE ●
“We have to tell Twilight what happened,” Applejack said
“I'm afraid of what will when we do tell her,” Fluttershy said quietly
“Let's just get this over with,” Dash said “Rarity would you do the honors of starting? You have the best handwriting out of us.”
‘Twilight, this is Rarity. I am with the others.’
‘What do you TRAITORS want? Let me contact Sunset.’
‘That is what this about. I'm Applejack.’
‘Let. Me. Speak. To. Sunset.’
‘You can't. She's not here. This is Fluttershy now.’
‘FIND HER AND LET HER KNOW I WANT TO TALK TO HER!’
‘Not unless you have a Ouija board. It's Rainbow Dash.’
‘Tell me you aren't kidding!?’
‘No we aren't. It's Pinkie now’
‘I'm coming to see her. Don't try stopping me OR ELSE’
“Yikes. I think she's ticked,” Dash said
“You think? We'll be lucky to make it out of this unscathed,” Applejack said sarcastically

“Alright, spill,” Bloom asked as the three sat in their clubhouse
“I stole this when no one was looking,” Scootaloo said removing the pistol
"Why did you take it,” Sweetie asked
“I don't know. My body felt like it was acting on its own,” Scoots replied
"For now, this stays between us,” Apple Bloom decided as the others nodded in agreement

“Discord, can you help me,” Luna asked
“What can I do for you,” Discord asked
“I need you to contact Queen to create some paperwork. I don't care the legality of it; just do it. Can you please retrieve a book from Sunset’s house,” she asked “And find this ‘Anon-a-Miss’ user.”
“Will do,” he said with a salute “We're getting the Changelings back together, huh?”
“Temporary reunion,” she replied
“Fine with me.”
Discord headed into Luna’s office and changed into a Kevlar bodysuit and grabbed his earpiece and black motorcycle helmet before getting his boots on and running out the school.
“Queen; it's Chaos. I need your help,” Discord said
“Long time since I heard that name before. What can I do for you commander,” Chrysalis asked
“I need you to create some documents for me being Sunset Shimmer’s guardian. Just say that I permitted her to live in the apartment near me. Look into finding who Anon-a-Miss is also,” he said
“Will do,” she said
Discord headed to his apartment block and to Sunset’s residence to retrieve the requested item. Having lived there for years, he knew the activities of everyone to not get caught; of course none of them would report him for breaking & entering.
“Ah, apartment 13. Sunset, I'm sorry,” Discord said to himself
Once he picked the lock on the door, he crept in and lifted his visor to see clearly. The book in question was sitting open on the living room table.
‘Answer me now, dammit! Don't commit suicide! We love you! Twilight Sparkle & Celestia’
“I guess that's the book Luna wanted,” he said
He closed the book and stuck it in his pocket before heading back to the school.
“Reaper, the package is retrieved. Any word from Queen yet,” he asked
“Nothing. Get back ASAP. Something bad is going to happen soon,” Luna replied through his earpiece looking at the school's CCTV cameras
“Queen; how's it coming?”
“Paperwork is done. Congrats on being the guardian. As to the second, I've found some information about the culprit. They're a student at CHS. I can't pin down an exact suspect without assistance,” Chrysalis replied
Discord headed back to school a few minutes before noon. He ducked into Luna’s office and changed into his regular patchwork suit before throwing the other in a drawer and heading out.
“Ah, Discord. You accomplished what I asked,” Luna asked as he returned
“Of course, Captain. Here's the book you want. Although I wouldn't tell anything to your friend, the Princess, just yet,” Discord answered “I also have a friend working on some paperwork as well. Chrysalis is completing that as we speak.”

Sitting in her house, Chrysalis began working on her assignments. Creating falsified documents was child's play, but finding this Anon-a-Miss wasn't to easy.
“Let's see, ‘Discord Drago is the legal guardian of Sunset Shimmer. He gave permission to her to take resistance in the apartment as long as he could keep track of her’,” she said to herself
“That's the easy part. Let's see; Anon-a-Miss is a user on MyStable. Logins originate from Canterlot High Stop, but there's a wall. I can't access specific users without having police involvement.”
“Queen; how's it coming,” he asked through the earpiece
“Paperwork is done. Congrats on being the guardian. As to the second, I've found some information about the culprit. They're a student at CHS. I can't pin down an exact suspect without assistance.”

“That's all I can do on my end. Guess I have to call him up,” she thought
“Sombra? It's Chrysalis. I found an online user that's been terrorizing Canterlot High School. That’s the one. I can't get any further in my search. Let him know for me. You're kidding right? Fuck, that's not supposed to happen. It's been posted to that page. The user is ‘DmondSpoon517’. I recommend their arrest. Farewell, old friend. I wish this would have been under more pleasant circumstances.”
● CURRENT TIME ●

Luna removed her jacket and examined the tattoo on her right forearm. A full-body grim reaper sat on a throne with a rifle at it's side and two headstones with a clown head and a crown on them. Discord’s right forearm had a similar design of a harlequin with a rifle and tombstones with a scythe and crown. Chrysalis had herself stylized with a crown on and her friend's marks.
“The Changelings watch their own. I contacted Sombra to inform him of my discovery earlier. He informed me of miss Shimmer’s unfortunate passing,” Chrysalis said
“Speaking of him; how's he doing,” Discord asked
“If you remembered, he became Captain of the anti-terror task force for the police's cyber division,” Chrysalis replied
“Apparently with that book you asked me to retrieve, Sunset did receive a final message. I am sorry to have to do that. I wouldn't have minded being her adopted father,” Discord said sadly
“And I would gladly been her mother. I hope those bastards who created that ‘Anon-a-Miss’ shit get punished. I'd gladly kill them myself,” Chrysalis said
“As would I, but we may not find out anything. I just heard from my sister that the school will be closed the rest of the week and Sunset’s funeral will be held on Friday at school,” Luna added
“Who do you think did it,” Discord asked
“I hope those spoiled bitches get punished for that post about Sunset’s body,” Discord said
“I wonder when we will face Twilight Sparkle’s wrath,” Luna said
“We're just a phone call away if you need help,” Discord said before they departed
‘Twilight, this is Rarity. I am with the others.’

‘That is what this about. I'm Applejack.’
‘Let me speak to Sunset.’
‘You can't. She's not here. This is Fluttershy now.’

“Princess Celestia, I have to go,” Twilight said trying to hold back tears as she approached the the throne room
“What happened,” Celestia asked
Wordlessly; Twilight handed her mentor the book used to contact Sunset, that was open to a particular page. Celestia immediately broke down afterwards.
“Sister, what is it,” Luna asked only to be handed the book as a response
“My daughter; gone. They must pay,” Celestia said angrily
“Then we all go tomorrow. Twilight, you will lead as you have been there previously,” Luna decided
“Very well. We're going to need some kind of clothing to keep us covered,” Celestia said
“Some kind of robe, it seems,” Twilight said
“We leave in a few days and will be there Wednesday,” Celestia said
The rest of the day past painfully slow as the three princesses couldn't believe what they read. Sunset was actually gone, by her own hand, no less. Although she did have help pulling the trigger, in a manner of speaking.
“Twilight, what's wrong,” Spike asked curiously as she returned home
“Read this,” she said sadly handing him the book
“She's,” he started as Twilight nodded
“Let me go with you. I want to give them a piece of my mind,” he said angrily
“I'm sorry, but that isn't going to happen,” Twilight replied “I want you to stay here where it's safe. You don't want to see what happens.”
“If you believe that to be best,” a defeated Spike said
“Twilight, darling; they're finished,” Rarity said hugging her friend “I'm sorry you have to do this.”
“Thank you Rarity. I'm sorry, too.”
Twilight modified the portal to allow objects to pass through as the princesses donned their hooded robes. They gave a final goodbye to their friends and stepped through.
“So, this is what the other side is. It really is similar to home,” Celestia mused
“Indeed. This new form is hard to get used to,” Luna said
“We're going inside the school,” Twilight directed
Twilight led the two through the doors where she was surprised by the sight. The students weren't running around or acting cheerfully. A pin drop would echo around the school.
“That's ominous,” Luna said looking at the writing on the lockers reading ‘Guilty’
“Miss, Sparkle; shall we head to my office,” principal Celestia asked
“Lead the way,” Twilight said simply
Principal Celestia directed the three princesses down another hall that didn't contain any lockers and straight into her office. Once inside, Twilight casually closed the door behind them.
“What brings you here,” Celestia asked as Vice-Principal Luna entered the office from a side door
“Where is she,” Princess Celestia said with a low growl
“Where is who,” VP Luna asked
“MY DAUGHTER, THAT'S WHO,” Celestia roared, causing her hood to hall backwards
“You look like you've seen a ghost,” Twilight said
“I have. Every day starting on Monday,” principal Celestia replied sadly
“After lunch, you WILL set up a mandatory assembly for everyone,” Twilight ordered
“What do you mean about seeing a ghost,” Luna asked lowering her hood
“Sunset Shimmer. Just before noon, her spirit heads to the bathroom for a moment before leaving. You have to see it for yourself,” Celestia said
“It's 11:00 now; around 11:45 you'll see,” VP Luna added
“What's with the writing,” Luna asked
“Sunset’s spirit wrote those on the lockers Monday morning. Three have ‘Anon-a-Miss’ as the culprits, while anyone who ever supplied secrets received ‘Guilty’ on their lockers,” Celestia explained
“I want to see the lockers,” Twilight said
She took a walk around the school and the message written on dozens of lockers that were accused of sending secrets to Anon-a-Miss. Amongst the graffiti, on Sunset’s locker was a mural of Sunset as an angel.
“In life she's hated, yet in death Sunset is revered,” Twilight said with a chuckle
A poster on the wall to Twilight’s left caught her attention as writing appeared out of nowhere in ink.
‘Hello Twilight’.
“Sunset,” Twilight whispered
‘Yes. Sorry for everything’.
“Your mom and aunt are here with me.”
‘Tell them I love them’.
“You just did,” Celestia said approaching
“Why did you do this,” Twilight asked
‘I couldn't take the pain any more. I didn't feel that I could return either’.
Twilight walked over and removed the papers before sticking them in her backpack. Even in death, she couldn't leave her friend's last message behind. Celestia headed to the locker and kissed it, wishing it was her daughter.
“Twi, it's time to look,” Luna whispered motioning to a nearby clock
Twilight headed down the hall with the princesses following behind and saw Sunset’s spirit head inside and leave the bathroom. Entering the cafeteria, the three were holding each other as they watched the moment where Sunset died.
“I'm sorry. It's my fault,” Twilight said through tears as she fell to her knees
“You are not at fault,” Celestia said helping Twilight to her feet
The three headed back to Principal Celestia’s office and were surprised to see three salads waiting for them to eat.
“We thought you'd like something to eat before the assembly. We're sorry you had to see that,” Principal Celestia said
“These are some papers I removed from your message board. I hope you don't mind,” Twilight said
“Of course not. Those are personal,” VP Luna replied “After school, I have some friends that are going to see Sunset. Feel free to join.”
“Thank you very much. I'd like to see my daughter's grave,” Celestia said as Twilight and Luna nodded
The five of ate in peace until just before the end of lunch where principal Celestia made her announcement.
“To all students and staff, there will be a mandatory assembly held in the gym immediately after lunch,” Celestia said
“My friends that are on their way to assist with the assembly,” VP Luna said before her phone beeped
‘Reaper- Queen, Sombra & I are here and dressed to kill, so to speak, Chaos’
Both principals headed into the gym as the princesses stayed behind for their introduction. Three people in armor and black motorcycle helmets entered through the opposite doors and stood there, guarding them.
“You're probably wondering why this assembly was called. There are a few people that want to speak with you,” principal Celestia said cryptically
“Keep your hoods up until I tell you to remove them,” Twilight said as they nodded
The doors opened and the hooded princesses entered first followed by Twilight. The students noticed her demeanor wasn't the same.
“There are five students in particular I address first. Get up here now,” Twilight demanded
Reluctantly, Rainbow Dash and the others made their way towards Twilight and the group in front of them.
“Give me that book,” Twilight demanded
“Are you sure,” Applejack asked
“Shut your mouth until I ask you to speak,” Twilight replied firmly, with a hint of disgust in her voice
AJ reached into her backpack and lifted it out, only to have it ripped out of her grasp by Twilight.
“You don't deserve this. Now I want an answer. Why did you abandon Sunset,” Twilight asked placing the book in her bag
“She was Anon-a-Miss,” Rainbow Dash replied only to receive a slap in the face
“Try again. This time answer honestly.”
“She returned to her demon nature,” Rarity said getting slapped
“Bullshit.”
“She was a big meanie,” Pinkie said getting slapped
“She broke up our friendship,” Applejack tried to argue before getting a slap of her own
“It wasn't Sunset’s fault. It was ours. We fucked up and abandoned her,” Fluttershy yelled finally realizing what Twilight wanted
“I am not going to punish you, but she will,” Twilight said motioning to the hooded Luna, who lowered her hood on cue
“Normally I shouldn't do this, but an exception can be made. The five of you will feel everyone that Sunset felt until her last moments,” Luna said holding out a hand
“You can't do this,” Rainbow Dash said desperately
“You will live, but are going to suffer. Had we been in Equestria, I would be able to do much worse,” Luna said evilly before putting them in a trance “I'm not called ‘Nightmare Moon’ for no reason.”
“I'm getting out of here,” Gilda yelled jumping over the bleachers
“Where do you think you're going,” Discord asked
“Through you apparently,” Gilda replied only to be taken down by Chrysalis with a palm strike to the solar plexus
“Anyone else want to try,” Chrysalis asked
Almost half and hour later, the five were brought out of their state and couldn't believe all the beating Sunset received. Even her final moments were torture, knowing they should have been there for her.
“We fucked up big time. I didn't know that Sunset went through that,” Applejack said
“Yes you did. Because of you, I lost someone I love,” Celestia said lowering her hood “I could deal with her running away out of anger, but now I lost her forever.”
“Now; where are the three that created ‘Anon-a-Miss’,” Twilight asked as the CMC approached “Why am I not surprised? Let's here your explanations.”
“I wanted to spend time with my sister, but Applejack brushed me off for Sunset,” Apple Bloom said
“Rarity kicked me out of her sleepover because it was a school night. I wanted to get back at Sunset,” Sweetie Belle said hanging her head
“I wanted to have Dash help me out with soccer practice but she hung out with Sunset instead,” Scootaloo said
“You created Anon-a-Miss because you were jealous,” Twilight exclaimed as her hair became enflamed
“The three of you are guilty of driving my daughter to committing suicide. YOU MIGHT HAVE WELL PULLED THE TRIGGER YOURSELVES,” Celestia roared, causing her hair to enflame as well
A message appeared on the back wall above the students with a single word.
‘Punish’.
“You three will be receiving a special punishment for your actions,” Celestia said sadistically
“If you do not mind, I have school-wide punishments to hand out,” principal Celestia said
“Be our guest,” Twilight replied motioning to the students
“Firstly, Apple Bloom and company; you three are to be split up in all classes and will be forbidden to be together on school grounds. Next, all computers will be blocked from accessing all websites that are not school approved. All extra curricular activities are hereby disbanded. Finally, the Rainbooms are no longer permitted to practice on school grounds again,” Celestia said as many students groaned “Unfortunately, due to the amount of students involved with the incident you will not be punished. Be warned that any further incidents involving bullying or assaults will result in immediate expulsion.”
“You're dismissed,” VP Luna said to the students “You eight, however aren't.”
“One last thing. I, Princess Twilight Sparkle; hereby strip the five of your Elements of Harmony. I hope you do not have a crisis that requires help, because it will never come. Once we leave, the portal will be destroyed,” Twilight said
Discord and his companions stepped aside to allow everyone to leave except the Rainbooms and their siblings.
“We're sorry,” Apple Bloom said
“Don't apologize to me. Let's go to who needs it,” Twilight said
“We're heading there,” Discord asked cryptically as VP Luna nodded
“Get to stepping,” Chrysalis ordered
Principal Celestia led the CMC and Rainbooms out of the gym as the Changelings were directly behind them, ending with the princesses. They stopped in front of a particular locker no one would ever forget.
“Why are we here,” Scootaloo asked in disbelief
“Simple. You're going to apologize to Sunset for the hell you put her through,” Twilight ordered
“Sunset, I don't know if you can hear us, but we're sorry. Anon-a-Miss was created only so we could spend more time with our families. It was never supposed to go that far,” Apple Bloom said sadly
“We didn't know you were suffering as bad as you were. Everyone thought you got what you deserved by getting assaulted,” Sweetie Belle added
“We hope you could possibly forgive us for our actions,” Scootaloo said hanging her head
Without warning, Sunset’s spirit completely manifested itself in front of everyone. She held her left hand in the shape of a gun and ‘fired’ it at the CMC at their mouths one by one, causing them to fall to their knees in surprise.
‘They just felt the pain I suffered’.
“Someone care to explain this,” Applejack demanded ripping paper with the message off the wall “Is this some sick joke?”
“You all saw the spirit of my daughter dish out her punishment for them. They should be okay physically. Mentally,” Celestia said with a shrug
“Get out of here now. Take those bitches with you,” Twilight said angrily “You deserve everything you felt for betraying Sunset and I.”
The Rainbooms brought their siblings to their feet and led them out of the school and towards home.
“Changelings, remove your helmets,” Luna directed
“Discord, Sombra, Chrysalis? This is a surprise,” Twilight said “Sorry, the three of you are in our world as villains.”
“Before we head out, mind if we change,” Discord asked as Luna nodded
The three stopped by the office and retrieved dufflebags with a change of clothes and ducked into the closest restroom. VP Luna also removed her blazer and Twilight was surprised.
“Curious to the meaning, Twilight,” VP Luna asked
“Yes. It is nice art, from what I can see,” Twilight replied
“Sorry for the wait Captain,” Discord said “Changelings are present and accounted for.”
“Why do only three of you have that,” Twilight asked
“The three of us: Discord, Chrysalis and myself were an elite combat unit known as the Changelings, if you didn't know. We were known respectively as Chaos, Queen and Reaper; respectively. Sombra was our tech expert,” VP Luna explained
“Everyone has secrets, it seems,” Twilight replied “Who would have expected you to be awesome?”
“Sadly, some secrets are worth killing for or being killed over,” VP Luna added sadly
“If we're ready; let's go,” principal Celestia said holding a wrapped item in her hands
Once at the parking lot, the three princesses climbed in principal Celestia’s car, while her sister jumped on her motorcycle. The remaining members of the Changelings jumped in Sombra’s truck as the three vehicles headed to the cemetery. Moments later they arrived at their destination towards the back.
“Sunset, I'm so sorry I caused you to run away. It was selfish of me to not allow you to continue your training. One little incident didn't mean you were bad. I was glad you were doing so well until this incident. I love you dearly and wish you could be here,” Celestia said through tears “Rest well.”
“I'm sorry I didn't come through the portal and help you. I could have taken you home to be with real friends. You were a promising friend. Rest in peace,” Twilight said
“Sunset, I'm sorry you resorted to such methods. I gave you that pistol as you feared being attacked. Chrysalis and I were talking about adopting you to give you a family,” Discord said sadly
“I may not be your mom; but goodbye sweetheart. At least you can be at peace,” Chrysalis said
Sunset’s spirit appeared in front of them before disappearing.
“I'd like you to have this,” principal Celeatia said handing Twilight the item
“Sunset’s diploma. Thank you very much. Valedictorian? What's that,” Twilight replied putting it in her bag
“Valedictorian is the student with the highest grade point average. Sunset had a 4.0 GPA,” principal Celestia replied
“Goodbye Sunset,” Twilight said before they headed back to school
“I'm sorry you had to see what's been happening at school,” VP Luna said
“I'd like to apologize for our actions. Keep an eye on those students. It's unknown how they might be mentally,” Luna said
The three headed back through the portal and destroyed it, before being joined by the rest of the mane-six. Twilight removed the papers and placed them inside the journal before handing it to Celestia.
“Sunset would want you to have that,” Twilight said handing her the diploma as well
“Thank you Twilight. There is something I want to do,” Celestia said
Celestia had a statue made of her daughter with alicorn wings spread open. Due to it being made from marble, the statue would take a month to complete. Once done; Celestia had it placed underneath her room as a makeshift monument to her daughter.
“She's really gone,” Rarity asked
“Yes, she died. I'm glad we were able to see her one final time,” Celestia said
“Rest in peace, Sunset Shimmer,” everyone said
Sunset’s spirit appeared momentarily to the three princesses before completely disappearing, giving her family one last view.

“She must have been disturbed by Sunset’s body. Along with Apple Bloom and Scootaloo; the three created the MyStable account Anon-a-Miss,” Rarity answered
“You mean, the three of them created the account that you blamed miss Shimmer for,” Cookie Crumbles asked
“The very same. I fucked up as a friend. Twilight Sparkle’s friend showed us the hell Sunset went through,” Rarity said
“Normally, I wouldn't approve of your use of foul language; but it seems you understand what you did,” Hondo replied
“I'd ask what you meant by showing you the pain; but I guess it would be related to magic,” Cookie said
“Sunset gun dead,” Sweetie Belle said

“Sunset gun dead,” Apple Bloom said
“What is she babbling about,” Granny Smith asked
“The death of Sunset Shimmer,” Applejack said with a shudder
“You ever find out that Anonymous person you kept on about,” Granny asked
“Bloom and her friends,” Big Mac replied
“Thinking about her made me remember a friend of Twilight’s showing us what we put Sunset through,” AJ replied sadly
“I'd punish you, but it seems someone's done it for me,” Granny commented

“Sunset gun dead,” Scootaloo repeated
“Dash, why is your sister repeating that,” their father Bow Hothoof asked
“Punishment for her actions as Anon-a-Miss,” Dash replied “I've received mine from Twilight’s friend. Seeing the hell I put Sunset through is enough.”
“We'll have to keep an eye on Scoots. In this state, I don't want to think of what might happen,” their mother Windy Whistles commented
In just a few hours from when they left school, the creators of ‘Anon-a-Miss’ were already feeling the pain of their actions. Their parents mutually agreed to keep an eye on the trio whenever they were together; in fear of what they do. They reluctantly agreed to them having a sleepover, unaware of the plan they devised.
“You have it right, Scoots,” Sweetie Bell asked
“Yeah. When no one was looking, I swiped the pistol Sunset had,” Scootaloo replied
“Next Friday we do it at Sunset’s apartment,” Apple Bloom said as the others nodded

“Dear, take a look at this,” Cookie said motioning to her husband “Grab Rarity. She needs to see this.”
“Granny, you need to see this,” Big Mac said running into the living room “AJ, get over here.”
“What the hell? Mom, dad; get in here,” Dash called from her room
‘Greetings. I'd like to introduce myself. I am Anon-a-Miss,’ a masked voice said
“What the fuck? Discord, check this out,” Chrysalis called
“WE are Anon-a-Miss. Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle and me; Apple Bloom are the creators of this page. We'd like to provide an explanation of our actions,” Apple Bloom said, removing the masking program
“We each wanted to spend time with our families; only for them brush us off for a student named Sunset Shimmer,” Sweetie Belle continued
“In retribution, the three of us decided to spill secrets about our families and pass the blame to Sunset. The plan was for them to dump her as a friend so we could be together,” Scootaloo added
“What we didn't know, was for the two months this account was active; Sunset was being bullied mercilessly by other students. Canterlot High School staff did not care about the attacks as they believed Sunset returned to her old attitude of manipulating others,” Bloom admitted
“The three of us were given a look at the pain that was inflicted on Sunset by her own hand. For our families that may be watching; we are sorry for our actions and love you very much. These next actions are our own and we would ask you not to blame yourselves,” Scootaloo said
“That looks like Sunset’s apartment,” Chrysalis commented looking at the background
“It is. Get you helmet on, we got business to take care of,” Discord said with a sense of urgency
A wrapped item was produced and revealed to be a pistol. One by one the girls placed it to their temples and fired. The sound of wood breaking was heard as two people in all black broke in to the house.
“Shows over,” Discord said ending the transmission
“Fuck! We're too late,” Chrysalis said
"Let's go. Cops will be here shortly,” Discord said
“Why did they do it,” Cookie asked
“We should have put them under suicide watch. Where did they get that gun,” Hondo asked
“Sunset. That was the same pistol she used,” Rarity answered
“We buried one friend and lost three family members,” Dash said to her parents
“Bloom’s dead? I can't believe it,” Granny Smith said
“We all saw it. Just who were those two masked people,” Big Mac commented
The next day, the families buried Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. Principal Celestia was shocked that four students were dead over Anon-a-Miss.
“Miss Belle,” Dash said trying to avoid her friend
“This is the end of the Rainbooms, isn't it,” Pinkie asked looking at her friends
“The Rainbooms ended when Twilight called us out,” Applejack said
The rest of the funeral passed without incident as the girls parted ways with their families. Pinkie and Fluttershy remained friends while the others drifted away from one another. Once the new year started, they acted like total strangers to one another, never acknowledging one another.
○ DISCORD & CHRYSALIS ○
The two decided on getting married officially in a ceremony that was attended by Luna, Sombra and Celestia. Shortly later, Chrysalis was confirmed to be pregnant.
“It’s a girl. The doctor showed me,” Chrysalis said
“Sunrise Sparkle. If you don’t mind,” Discord said
“Named in tribute of the girls. I like it,” she replied
Once her hair started growing, everyone noticed Sunrise had purple and red hair eerily similar to Sunset’s actual design. When she was older, Discord planned on telling her about the two girls that created her namesake.
Remembering the design on the journal he had retrieved for Luna, Discord had it drawn out and had it tattooed on the other arm. Both Luna and Celestia had it tattooed as well in remembrance of their fallen student.
○ GILDA, LIGHTNING DUST & DIAMOND DOGS ○
After the seemingly slap on the wrist they received for spilling secrets to Anon-a-Miss and assaulting Sunset; the gang turned to other criminal activity under the belief they wouldn't get in trouble.
“So, we rob the store next,” Lightning Dust asked
“Yeah. Just make sure to wear the masks,” Gilda replied
They proceeded to commit armed robbery and during their escape, Gilda ended up shooting a security guard in the chest, which later resulted in her death. Four more armed robberies were also committed, without them getting caught.
Unbeknownst to them; the house was occupied by Silver Spoon while Diamond Tiara and Spoiled Rich went out for an errand.
“Shit! Scram,” Gilda ordered as the group split, hearing sirens
“Diamond, there's something you need to know. Silver Spoon was trapped inside the house when it ignited. We pulled her out, but she unfortunately suffered smoke inhalation,” a firefighter said
“Who did this? They needed to be arrested,” Diamond asked
“Unfortunately, we do not know,” the fire chief replied
“Perhaps I can help. This was committed by Gilda Griffin and her friends. I monitored communications about a robbery and heard this. I am Captain Sombra of the anti-terror task force for the police's cyber division,” he said
“I have the suspects arrested,” Officer Shining Armor said “A couple friends of yours assisted with the capture.”
A few days later, the group was brought before Judge Lead for their crimes and sentencing.
“Gilda Griffin; you are charged with one count of arson; five counts of armed robbery and two counts of murder,” Judge Lead said
“Murder? I've never killed anyone,” Gilda argued
“Your companions said differently. They admitted it was you who shot the security guard while escaping and who devised the plan for arson,” the judge countered
“How'd they die,” Gilda asked
“The security guard died of her injuries after arriving at the hospital. The house you torched was occupied by a young lady who died of smoke inhalation,” the judge said
“What's going to happen to the others,” she asked
“The four of them accepted a plea bargain in order for lesser sentences by giving you up as the mastermind. Gilda Griffin; you are hereby sentenced to two counts of life in prison without the possibility for parole,” Judge Lead finished
○ PRINCIPAL CELESTIA ○
“Celestia, you know what this looks like. Four of your students are deceased after this ‘Anon-a-Miss’ event; including its creators. I'm telling you this as a friend; you and Luna need to retire from teaching,” Chancellor Neighsay said
“Vlad, I know it's bad. It was more than enough to lose a student on campus, only to have a visitor verbally berate the students over their actions. But for Faust knows how many people to see that live-stream is worse. I'll never get that image out of my head. There's one thing I want,” Celestia replied
“Very well. After that, the school will be demolished. Reports of a haunting isn't something parents want to send their children to,” he continued “I'll be accompanying you to the school when you want to go.”
“I'll see if my friends aren't busy and we can just get this done now,” she said
After calling her sister to find about the Changelings, she headed inside to tell Neighsay the news.
“My sister and her friends will be meeting us at the school.”
The two of them arrived at CHS to find Discord carrying a box of tools inside. Celestia headed to one location in particular that already had Sombra and Chrysalis waiting.
“This is,” Neighsay started
“Yes, Vlad it is,” Luna said simply
Discord opened the box and removed a grinder as Celestia opened the locker. Stuffed inside were various cards and pictures in Sunset’s memory. Chrysalis carefully placed them inside the crate as Discord sliced the door off its hinges. Both he and Sombra carried it out to the truck while Chrysalis brought the crate and grinder.
“Why that,” Neighsay asked
“Let's just say it has something to do with spirits,” Celestia replied
“Understood. It's something personal for you,” he said ignoring her answer
After departing, Luna popped the lock itself off and sprayed a clear sealer on the door to preserve the mural of Sunset as they stored it away in a private memorial in their house. Celestia and Luna decided afterwards that they would retire, then face the court of public opinion.
○ COLLEGE ○
Years after graduating CHS, college saw Vinyl and Octavia, along with Lyra and Bon Bon officially getting together as girlfriends. Pinkie and Fluttershy continued their relationship, while their friends completely split apart.
“Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Applejack; I'm going to have you three work together on this project,” their professor said
“If it's all the same to you professor; I'd rather fail this project than work with these two,” AJ said motioning to the others
“I don't care about any personal issues you three have with one another; I'm telling you to work together. I don't care how you do it, just figure it out,” the professor said
“Yes sir,” they said hesitantly
“Professor; do you mind if Fluttershy and I join them,” Pinkie asked hopefully
“If it helps them work together, go ahead,” he said
“Girls look at me. I know what happened those years ago, like you do. Your damn stubbornness is going to get you into trouble. Dash, are you really going to throw away your sports scholarship? Rarity, do you want to lose your opportunity to make an impression on the fashion world? How about you Applejack? Do you want to make sure you can live in your house,” Fluttershy asked directly
“It was our fault for everything. You two followed us when we left Sunset behind, regardless of how you really felt. The three of us should have helped our sisters out. What they were shown that day really fucked them up mentally. Perhaps if the three of us worked together, they could have gotten help,” Dash said
“None of it was your fault. They created Anon-a-Miss for the wrong reason and it grew out of control. No one could have predicted they would do that,” Pinkie added
“Pinkie, shut the fuck up. You have no right to say anything if you haven't lost someone,” AJ countered
“Actually I have. My sister Limestone committed suicide when I was in high school. She came over to a family reunion and proceeded to slit her throat in front of us. I never mentioned it, because I wanted to forget it. You never forget, all you can do is move on. Sweetie Bell, Scootaloo and Apple Bloom wouldn't want you to fight,” Pinkie replied
“Can we at least be civil to one another,” Shy asked
“How's about this. Let's get through this assignment and we'll see,” Rarity suggested
“Deal,” AJ and Dash said
As they agreed, the five of them slowly reunited their friendship, but under unstable ground. They agreed not to bring up Anon-a-Miss or the suicides, so as to no reopen old wounds. Many years later after graduating college did they actually decide to speak freely.

Spirits
“Congrats. You actually did it,” the demon taunted looking at the body
“I never did have a name for you,” Sunset mused
“Call me whatever you want,” the demon said
“Sundown. That way you have a name. So, that's what I look like dead," Sunset commented looking at her corpse on the ground
“How's about some fun. Haunting the school,” Sundown suggested
Sundown bent down and infused a little energy into the pistol. She proceeded to find Scootaloo and guide her to taking the pistol.
“Why do you want them to have that?”
“You'll have to wait and see,” Sundown replied
The two later attended the memorial, finding humor in actually attending their own.
“In life they hate me, and in death they're sorry. How contradictory is that?”
Sundown decided to inform the school about the culprits. Finding most of the school at fault, she marked everyone's locker as guilty.
“Celestia’s here?”
“Each of them shared secrets to those three,” Celestia commented out loud
‘Yes. Bring them to justice’.
“I will do what I can,” Celestia said
‘Thank you’.
“Why would you talk to her,” Sundown asked curiously
“If you're writing messages to everyone, why can't I write a little?”
"I'll give you that. Besides, your spirit energy causes the incident to repeat, so they'll never forget that,” Sundown replied
As spirits; time passed endlessly as they had no way to know when the day truly ended. Almost an eternity later, Sundown recognized an old friend.
“Isn't that the princess,” Sundown taunted
‘Hello Twilight’.
“Sunset,” Twilight whispered
‘Yes. Sorry for everything’.
“Your mom and aunt are here with me.”
‘Tell them I love them’.
“You just did,” Celestia said approaching
“Why did you do this,” Twilight asked
‘I couldn't take the pain any more. I didn't feel that I could return either’.
“Hey, an assembly, let's go,” Sundown
The two watched as Twilight tore into everyone for their actions and Sunset was impressed that Twilight had a mean side to her.
“Look, the three bitches. I've got a message for them,” Sundown said evily
‘Punish’.
“Let me borrow your appearance for a while. You're going to like this,” Sundown said evilly
Sundown manifested in front of everyone. She held her left hand in the shape of a gun and ‘fired’ it at the CMC at their mouths one by one, causing them to fall to their knees in surprise.
‘They just felt the pain I suffered’.
“You're right. They deserved to feel that. Thank you.”
They decided to follow Twilight and the others as they headed to pay their final respects to Sunset. As a sign of respect, Sunset herself appeared before them so they could see her one last time.
Another eternity later (weeks later) the Sundown had another surprise for her partner to see.
“Remember when I placed some energy in that pistol? Now you'll get to see why,” Sundown replied
The two were summoned to a place that they remembered quite well, with three unexpected guests.
“Why are they here in my old apartment?”
"I honestly don't know why," Sundown answered
After the speech by the trio, they produced the pistol. Sundown proceeded to assist in their suicide, making sure they got what they truly deserved.
A month later, Sunset was able to step through the portal to see the statue her mother had created in her memory.
“Goodbye mom, everyone,” Sunset said letting her soul finally be at peace and disappearing
