Chapter Edited by Azure.
Monster.
Equestria… T’was a land known for peace, friendship, and tranquility. However, that peace is broken when monsters began to pour from underground caverns and a mysterious tower that had recently appeared in the far south.
From what the royal sisters could learn, the monsters chose only to communicate through violence, however they held a debilitating fear of civilization for some unknown reason. The princesses had learned much from the last thousand years, such that if those beasts are defeated in battle, the victor would gain untold power, magic, and strength.
For many years, Equestria had changed. Many races, both pony and non pony having grown from the disastrous change.
To this day, it is never safe to travel alone unless the towers and underground caverns of which spawned the monstrosities were first taken care of. This however proved only temporary as the power of the tower always seemed to bring a return to those cursed things.
And in another world...A poor unfortunate human is about to have the worst wake up call in the entirety of his life.
“...Huh? Why won’t my eyes open up- wait, why can’t I move?” He asked as he started to get confused. All that greeted his eyes was total darkness and his ears found a deafening silence. He could not move his body nor could he move his head, his movements were being heavily restricted. He couldn’t even speak besides hearing his own mental voice. He struggled and pushed with all his might until with a satisfying crack, his legs and tail were free.
“Wait, tail?” He asked as his only eye followed the tail where it ended behind him, now more confused than ever. He struggles a little bit more until he managed to crack a hole. He noticed he was in some sort of forest that felt very calm and tranquility.
“Where am I!?” He exclaimed, suddenly there was a shift and a rolling motion as he ends up onto his back. Despite having a few parts of his body free such as his two little legs, he was unable to break the rest of his egg-shell. He spun around on the ground until he managed to get up onto his feet. What he was unable to see were two yellow reptilian feet, so he gave them a wiggle. “Are those really mine? When did that happen?”
[Stage 1: Pre-hatched] “where did that text box come from?” He asked again. Suddenly, a new box appeared, floating in front of him and providing him detail.

“What does this all mean?” He mentally asked, he was now even more confused than before. He took a moment to think of just what happened before he woke up here. He was coming home from school with his friends, they decided to take a shortcut through a junkyard, he came across a shiny figurine toy and… the rest of his memories were a blank.
The poor human-turned-creature took a look at his surroundings; nothing but a forest with foreign plants and herbs that were well beyond his understanding.
[Incoming Threat] Slowly, something started to come out of the bushes. The very sight of the creature scared him with its size. What stood before him was some sort of wolf made out of twigs, logs, and leaves, its eyes were glowing a sickly green. [Timberwolf Attacks.]
The bestial creature leaped out with claws extended and teeth bared. Seeing this monster leap at him made him try to dodge out of the way. [Dodge unsuccessful.]
The Timberwolves fangs attempted to dig through the shell, but was met with quite a lot of resistance. [Shell Armor activated] [8 Damage.]
The egg-encased former human struggled and flailed until it managed to escape the wolf’s maw. The first thought was for him to run for his life, but considering how fast the wolf bounded after him before told him that running would not be an option. “O-ok,let’s try Shock.. How do I..?.” His sentence was cut off as he felt a power flow through him. [Shock] A bolt of electricity shot out of his body and straight at the Timberwolf. [11 damage]
The Timberwolf shook its head before beginning to growl, it did not like that. It leaped again at him. The current human-turned-monster tried to leap out of the way, but the beast managed to clamp its maw around him. “I can’t even move with these small legs!” he complained as his [Shell Armor] took the blunt of the attack, but it did not ease the pain he was feeling. [15 damage.] Taking this moment, he tries his [Shock] attack to send jolts of energy into the wolf. [6 damage.]
The freak of nature shook him wildly in a attempt to break his [Shell Armor][3 damage] as the former-human used [Shock] again for his life. [10]
[Timberwolf has been slain. 291 EXPs] He watched in confusion as the wolf’s body glowed red before fading into a swirling mass, it quickly entered his body. He fell down since there was no longer a wolf holding him. [291/1000 till Stage 2] The human turned monster [Inspected] his body, causing a text box to show him his current condition. [1/27 HP]. Seeing this made his eyes go wide in fear, he knew what this meant since his brothers would play rpg games and if the HP went below 1, it meant the character died.
At that moment, he broke down crying, he started to ask so many questions of how he got here, why he got here, how this was even possible, why he’s a monster. He quickly rolled and got back onto his feet, he needed to get out of this forest and get somewhere safe before he ran into another one of those things.
Despite his desperate running, the poor guy was having trouble finding his way out, everywhere he looked it was all nothing but trees, trees, trees!

“That would be helpful…. IF I KNEW WHERE THE REST OF ME WAS!” He screamed mentally and in annoyance at the strange rpg-like mechanics.
Due to him not watching where he was going, he ended up running into somebody's front legs, causing him to fall over and onto his back. He wiggled and flailed in a attempt to get back onto his feet, but his attempts were in vain. He tried to talk and call for help, but all that came out were pathetic squeaks and lizard like whines. He heard someone… talking? But he couldn’t understand their language.
[New Skill Learned: ??? Language, level 1] Seeing that text box made him calm down a little, but he continued to try and get back onto his feet. “Darn those small legs!” he mentally screamed.
Suddenly he was lifted up from the ground and when he turned his egg-shell, he saw something that he knew right away looked just as out of place than his own forced transformation. It looked like a young pink haired girl with blue eyes- no, scratch that, it was some sort of yellow skinned pegasus like girl with a long pink flowing tail that reached her knees. She had the body of a human but her head and face was that of a horse. She was wearing a bright yellow dress with a flower pattern on her chest. She looked like she was saying something, but again, her words were to foreign to understand. The strange pony-girl started to pat his head and body as if trying to remove his egg prison.
“I ------- egg -----” He heard her say, some of her words in english all of a sudden while the rest were all gibberish to him. She removed more broken shell-bits from his head, and gently started to wipe the tears that were coming out of his eyes.
While he was now able to see more clearly with both of his eyes now, he wasn’t able to remove the other parts of the egg as it was still stuck to his body. Realization soon dawned on him. “Wait… if everything is kind of like an rpg, does that mean my [??? Language] will level up if I listen to her enough?” He mentally said to himself. He frowned behind his egg. “If I could speak it, she’ll help me get home! And if she can’t… she’ll probably know who can!”
“----- inside -----------” She said between english and some foreign language as she held him in her arms, she made her way over to a home that looked quite cozy, although too peaceful looking compared to the forest he just got out of. “------ looked ------”
“Ok, that’s kind of annoying hearing her phase in and out of english.” He mentally said to himself as he was placed on top of a table with a warm blanket wrapped around him. The young pony-girl took out a book and started to flipping through the pages till she found what she was looking for.
“------ Type ---- and ---- “ The rest of her words were mumbles to his ears. She turned the book around to him to show him something that looked like what he would be if he were looking into a mirror. The words on the book were just as jumbled as the language the young girl speaks. “---- name ---- “ She said before appearing excited, she started talking up quite a storm as she turned to read the book somewhere.
While she did her thing, the human-turned-monster took a look at his surroundings. One thing for sure, he saw all sorts of small creatures look like they’d belong in a fantasy world or something from an rpg, like scalie lizards, giant spiders, wet slimes and goos, young cyclopians, winged demons and- “Wait, is that a wind elemental, a beholder and a harpy!? They look like those monsters my brother played with in his tabletop rpgs..” he mentally exclaimed.
“----- oh ------ and ------” the pegasus girl said as she checked out his scalie legs. “Can’t --------”
[ It appears Fluttershy is trying to name you, but she’s having trouble]
“...Fluttershy? Is that what her name is?” He asked mentally in curiosity. “Also, why did you decide to help me now by telling me what she was trying to do, text boxes?”
[ Unable to answer that question. ]
“Figures.” He said with a soft sigh.
