Sometimes, bad things happen to good people. A good friend can't make those bad things go away, but it can make dealing with them easier. Written for FlashLight Week 2018.

Losing a parent to cancer is never easy. It's even harder when you're losing the only parent you have who still cares about you. For Flash Sentry, it was reality that he didn't even want to face, and eventually, he reaches a point where he can no longer run from it. Fortunately, a certain pretty, purple, bespectacled magical girl ends up reaching out to him in his time of need. This is their story.
