Toil and 'Trouble'

Spike couldn't stop the chuckle that bubbled out. Twilight was still working on a schedule, and neither she nor Derpy had picked up on any of the other girls acting funny. So, he had a day off of sorts; mainly to let him get a few other things done.

"Spike, there yah are!" Spike looked to see Macintosh hurrying his way. Normally this wouldn't be so odd, but Mac was currently holding onto the side of his face in pain. "Look...could...could ya do me a BIG-OW! a big favor?"

"Um, sure..." Spike looked at him concerned. "What happened?"

"Was havin' lunch and broke a dagnab tooth. Gotta go to the dentist; but Ah still got a few chores to get done. Any chance ya could fill in fer me while Ah'm gettin' this?"

"Sure. No problem."

"Thanks." He patted the dragon the shoulder with his free hand. AJ's out buckin' the last couple of trees; jus' let her know yer there to help out." Wincing from a sharp sting in his jaw, Mac walked to Minuet's office as fast as he could.

"Ouch...that ain't fun." Spike muttered, heading off the farm.

Getting there, it didn't take him long to follow the sound of wood being struck. He made his way through the orchard and found Applejack dropkicking one of the trees. She seemed to be doing ok, so he made his way over. "Hey, AJ. I just ran into Mac..."

He paused when she looked his way, he could've sworn he saw what looked like...like bark protruding from her arm. But it was gone when he blinked. 'Huh, seeing things, I guess.' Part of him was grateful that he'd grown accustomed to the...relaxed way the farmgirl liked to dress sometimes, namely the naked overalls she'd currently decided on. Didn't make the sight any less hot, though; showing off a pair of long, toned legs, and just enough of her impressive chest to tease.

"Howdy, sugarcube." She wiped her forehead off. "Ah take it Mac asked ya to fill in 'cause of his tooth?"

"Yeah. Looked like he was hurting bad."

She sighed. "Still got no clue how that boy managed to get a chisel in his sandwich."

"Ok, that makes my whole head twinge picturing that." Spike cringed briefly. "So, what'd you guys have left to do?"

She shook some hair out of her face, making him notice a few beads of sweat trickle down into the valley between her breasts. "Well, ah just got the last couple here, but we still got another two acres to buck."

"Ok." Luckily he'd managed to get practice in with an old dead tree near Fluttershy's, so he could pack a wallop when needed. "Lead the way."

"Hope ya can keep up, Sugarcube." She jogged offed towards their next stop.

"You wish!" He called back, falling into step behind her. As they weaved through the trees, he couldn't help wondering something; 'Did her ass always bounce like that?'.

*WHUMP!* Spike's tail slammed into a tree, small bits of bark flicking off from the impact. Mac had told him that was normal, given how hard they had to kick the trees. That made it a lot less worrisome when he had to use both a leg and tail on the more stubborn trees.

Applejack, though...she seemed to be having to make herself stay focused on bucking. She did a decent job of hiding it, but on occasion he saw that she was using a bit more force in her kicks than normal. And out of the corner of his eye when he he wasn't really looking her way, he'd spy the bark again.

And it wasn't a piece stuck to her arm or anything innocent like that; the bark was growing out of her skin, like from before. Dark, hidelike bark. But it'd vanish when she knew he was looking. On one occasion, he figured it may've just been the angle, but her snout seemed almost...wolfish. She'd opened her mouth to exhale, and he was sure he'd spotted two little fangs.

She was acting a little peculiar, too; antsy...and every time he made a noise, she'd look around wildly. "Uh, AJ?"

"HUH!? Wha??" She jumped, panting hard.

"You ok?" He asked, more than a little concerned.

"Oh, Ah-Ah'm find, Spike, jus' trying to get this fuck-BUCKIN'! This buckin' done before dick-dinner!" She smiled, chuckling sheepishly.

"Uh, riiight..." He turned back to a tree. Maybe he was just hallucinating?

"....aaand done!" He said, the last tree to be harvested reverberating from his hit. "That took a while."

Looking up proved him right. The sun was already starting to set. "At least we finished with daylight to spare, AJ." He turned to...

nothing.

"AJ?" The baskets she'd set around a tree were still there. But they were empty; and the mare was nowhere to be seen. "AJ?" He called out, looking for any sign of her. "AyyJayyy? Applejack! Come on, this is something I'd expect from the CMC or Dash!"

*rustle...*

"Hrrr...."

"A... J?" Spike turned to the sound-

and froze.

There, on all fours, was Applejack. Oh, horseapples..." He thought. Like the others, she had the same glove and stocking pattern, but it was a barklike pattern instead of just darkening in color. Her upper face was covered with a bark wolf mask, extending over her muzzle which had stretched out to look wolfish. Her tail had become the same whip as everyone, along with an apple shaped tip, but no wings.

In her current state, the first thing that came to mind was 'Timberjack', but he was sure it'd been 'dryad' if she was standing normally.

The overalls she had been wearing were now in tatters; only a few scraps hung on to the bark due to her curves expanding from the transformation. Her hat being the only item she was now wearing.

"New meaning to apple-bottom." Spike quipped, unable to not look as her larger than normal backside and breasts bounced with each step she made towards him.

Applejack let out an exhale and growled softly.

"Uh...AJ..?" He slowly held a hand out. "AJ, are you still there? It's me, Spike." He stood as still as possible as she got closer. Timberwolf teeth and claws didn't stand a chance against dragon hide, but he didn't wanna hurt her by accident.

Applejack sniffed when she got close enough to touch his hand, her eyes glowing a solid green. Then with a vigorous ass wiggle, she pounced on him.
