It was a dark night in Ponyville, many ponies slept hard at this hour, their deep slumber kept many of them unaware of the mare that begged for help.

"Somepony help! I beg for mercy on my soul." A tan mare cried out as the deranged stallion slowly walked towards her. The mare had taken quite the beating, blood oozed out of her mouth, it was apparent she would need to consult a doctor if she were to somehow survive this encounter.

The stallion seemed to have unstable mind, all he wanted was to cause harm to ponies for self pleasure, he was very sick in the head "Yes, scream for help. You... arouse my thirst for pleasure." He spoke cool and calm, he would give chills to even the most brave souls in Equestria.

The tan mare was about to scream once more before she locked her eyes onto a dark figure approaching fast from behind the stallion.

The stallion turned to look, he met a remarkably fast fist approaching, before the stallion could react it was far to late, he already was knocked onto the ground by a shockingly powerful hit. The stallion smiled to himself before getting back up "Ah, a brave co-" he was shocked when he looked at hairless pony "Hmm... you certainly look different, let me fix that for you." the stallion swung as hard he could, he was confused when his target moved quicker than anything he had ever seen before, he couldn't even react before being body slammed onto the ground, the ground vibrated underneath him from the impact.

The mare watched in awe at her hero, she observed his features closely. This creature was most definitely different, he had no hair except for the large patch on his head and some on his face, he had no shirt and torn blue jeans, it looked like he'd been wearing them for months on end. This creature was not weak, he had more muscle mass than even your top of the line Royal Guards, he definitely had been trained to the extreme.

The stallion felt the being climb onto him before having a set of hands slam onto his throat, he felt his wind pipe get shut as the creature squeezed the life out of him. The stallion tried to pry the hands off but his grip was way to tight, he tried kneeing the being in the back but it didn't even budge a bit, it was like as if it didn't even feel it. The stallion tried twisting and turning but the creature had his torso locked in place with its knees, it was like as if the being already thought of every possible escape before hand. The stallion tried biting the beings wrists but that only caused the creature to slam the stallions skull onto the concrete, the slam was powerful, this caused the stallions head to ooze blood out of the back of it. There was no escape for the stallion, his eyes rolled into the back of his head before his life left the body.

The creature made a quick snap of the stallions neck to make sure he was dead, this was hardly a battle for the creature, it had already won before it even landed the first strike. The being looked at the mare before bolting off back towards the woods it had come from, the Everfree.

The mare watched the creature run off before looking back towards the stallions body, she saw a small puddle of blood forming underneath the head of the lifeless body. The mare was saved for absolutely no reason, the creature wasn't even pony but it saved the mare, why?

"That was The Protector wasn't it? It had to of been, the creature everypony has been talking about, the creature with a pure heart." The tan mare spoke to herself.

Ponies eventually came out of their homes to see what the commotion was, a small group came to see if the mare was okay, the guard was immediately called to come and investigate.

The scene had been secured by sunrise, most of the higher ups in the guard arrived, even the captain himself.

"This one's an add-on to your case, looks like the work of The Protector." An older black stallion guard said to his captain "I don't know what this things goal is Shining, I really don't."

Shining as in Shining Armor, he was the captain of the guard and husband of the princess of love, Cadence "Me neither Gleam, all I've gotta say is it's one ruthless thing." he crouched down to inspect the body "What's the time of death?" he asked the coroner that was on scene.

The coroner looked to the captain before responding "The mare that was attacked said it was roughly midnight, the bodies been secured since four this morning." he informed Shining.

Shining sighed "You'd think they'd be quicker with all of the new technology." he picked the head up and inspected the badly injured skull "You have any guesses to as of what caused this?" he asked the coroner.

The coroner crouched down on the opposite side of the body "Judging from the splatter marks on the ground then I'm assuming his head was smashed into the ground, that would also tie into the bruising on the throat, from all of the marks the stallion has it would be best to assume this protector has the strength of a titan. I'd hate to mess with it, that's for sure." he gave his info.

Shining observed the marks on the neck "Do you think you could bring the report to my office later after further observation? I'd love to know more about the grip strength of this thing."

"Absolutely, I'll also fax over a copy of the stallions overall injuries and the end conclusion of the cause of death." the coroner said before standing up.

Shining stood up as well and shook the coroners hand before heading over to the mare that was the victim of the incident "How are you doing? I'd like to ask you a few questions if you don't mind, this case is connected to many others and this one may have more information that may lead to a reveal of our vigilante." he asked the mare.

The mare was still slightly shaken "U-umm, sure. Anything I could do to help." she was also smoking a cigarette.

Shining got out his pen and notepad "I already know about the time it happened but could you tell me what exactly happened?" he asked, cool as a cucumber.

The mare sighed "Well, I was on my way home after working a extra shift at my job and this nut job just randomly attacks me" she was referring to the body "he got me pretty good, asshole busted my lip." she rubbed her mouth.

Shining nodded "So this guy was the bad guy. What happened next?" he said after catching up with his writing.

The mare took a puff of her cigarette before proceeding "Then I saw the guy about to go for another swing, real whack job I tell ya, but before he could hit me this creature came out of no where before knocking crazy here off of his feet with just one punch, this thing was strong I tell ya. The stallion was all shocked but tried to fight back but this protector guy, he's all bite, he dodged every swing like he already knew what the guy was gonna do. The Protector eventually knocked him onto the ground and started choking the crazy stallion, the guy fought back but the thing slammed his head onto the ground a few times, the stallion stopped after that, he was pretty much dead at that point. The Protector thing looked at me with these magnificent blue eyes before running back towards the Everfree." she finished her story.

Shining wrote down everything she said "The Everfree, huh. Maybe I could get Twily and her friends to go and check it out, it's been a while since they've had any fun." he sighed before looking up to the mare "Do you remember the things build? I heard you mention its blue eyes and that you think it's a he, did you pick up anymore details?" he asked her.

The mare perked at this "Oh yeah, the guys ripped, I mean shredded, if he got all cleaned up then I'd maybe even flirt with him. The guy walks like we do, he even had some old blue jeans on, has no fur or no snout, he's also got a patch of hair on his head. I honestly think he's intellectual after what I saw. The guys got long straight blondish hair, other than that then I've got nothing else." she described The Protector.

Shining nodded "Strong build, blondish hair, blue eyes, possibly intellectual, no fur, no snout, has hair on head and wears jeans. I think that's it ma'am, you're free to leave whenever you want." he said before closing his notebook and putting back into his pocket.

The mare nodded before puffing on her cigarette once more.

Shining turned to go back to his car so he could so some further investigating on the case, no pony stopped him so he went ahead and started the thing up, he drove a classic muscle car "I'm gonna go and inform Twilight on what's going on, she could solve the case if she and her friends could find this 'protector'" he put the car into gear before driving off.

Author's Note

Yup, it has happened. The Protector is being remade into a world that is crafted perfectly for his style, this guy is back and he is better than ever. Cars, whores, realism, and all other kinds of cool shit has been thrown into the mix in this new world, you can most certainly expect The Protectors limits to be pushed to the max. If you prefer the OG then don't read this, but if you felt like the OG was rushed, lacked details and had poor character development then you clicked correctly. Also, don't be dick and make fun of mistakes, just let me know what's up and I'll fix it, no biggy. Also, this is my last story, I will be retiring from FIMfiction after this but don't stress, this story will only have a few loose ends so that you guys can complete the story to your liking, like I said before, this is a open topic, this is a free to use universe, I encourage people to take this hero and make him even cooler.
P.S. This one isn't gonna be thirteen chapters, it'll be at least thirty.
