The Chrysi/Cadence Everfree Experience
Sometimes you have to backtrack...
Previous ChapterNext ChapterChrysalis felt a drop of water fall onto her back. She shivered and snuggled closer to the warm body next to her. She wasn't sure how long she had been sleeping but she could only assume it had been a few hours at least. Feeling the her legs starting to cramp, Chryalis shifted around a bit, causing Cadence next to her to stir.
"Morning Chrysi," she said with a yawn.
Chrysalis felt another drop of water hit her back, "Good morning... I think we may have to move soon."
Cadence rolled onto her back and looked up at the sky. Grey clouds loomed over them as a breeze blew past. It was noticeably starting to get colder as well. "Where are we going to move to?"
Chrysalis broke from Cadence's warm embrace, though reluctantly. "There is a cave just a half a days walk up the river. Its not much but it is better than freezing out in the rain."
Cadence nodded, "I hate having to backtrack a bit, but your right. Our survival comes first."
Slowly getting to her feet, Cadence made her way over to the rose bush. She struggled to remove her vest from it. the thorns held onto it tightly and it seemed to be stuck to them like glue. After a bit of finagling and a few hard pulls though, she managed to remove it. Her jeans were beyond help. Just scraps of cloth stuck deeper in the bush.
She returned to her bag and after a bit of searching through it, she let out a annoyed groan. "My shorts are gone. As well as one of my energy bars."
"Some little critter must have found your bag and deciding to take a few things for the road.
Cadence winced, "Why my shorts though?" She looked around, spotting the shirt and dildo near where they had rested. But no sign of her shorts or anything else could be seen. "Fine... I can work with this."
Cadence walked over to Chrysalis with her bag. She grabbed the dildo and stuck in back into the bag. She then handed her vest to Chrysalis, "Since our magic isn't working, I am guessing you can't transform or craft new clothes. It is going to be getting chilly soon."
Chrysalis accepted the gift though an uncomfortable look on her face was noticeable. "Thanks... I'm not used to other people thinking of me. It feels... Weird..." She put on the vest and noticed it had a few small holes it. Better than nothing though. Cadence took the spare shirt and tore it in half down the side. She then wrapped it around Chrysalis' hip. Tying the end of it so that it looked more like a makeshift mini skirt.
"Its not much, but it should help keep some parts of you warm."
Looking down at herself, Chrysalis was once again at a lost for words. "Thankyou," was all she could muster up. Her eyes then landed back on Cadence who had nothing on but a torn shirt, a backpack whose strap was covering her exposed breast and some torn up socks. "Are you sure you are going to be alright?"
"I'll be fine, I tend to live up north so I'm used to colder temperatures."
Chrysalis knew that the Crystal Empire was surrounded by a warm magical dome but decided to let it go."If you say so, lets get moving before the rain starts."
The two made their way back up to the river, Cadence taking the lead, while Chrysalis was close behind. Taking glances at Cadence's ass were a nice treat but something was beginning to nag the back of her mind. As they made their way back to the stream and began to walk upstream, Chrysalis started to wrack her brain. "What was it?"
"Something wrong?" Cadence called back.
"Sort of. You know how both of us can't seem to get our magic to work?"
"Yeah. What about it?'
Chrysalis bit her lower lip as she remembered something from just a day or two ago. "I think I may have come across something, or someone, who was able to perform transformation magic..."
Cadence stopped, she slowly turned to Chrysalis, "Really?"
Chrysalis quickly nodded, "Yes, it was two Finfolk. One of them was able to magic up some fins onto my neck."
Cadence began to walk again as she processed this new information. "If they were able to perform magic, especially high level transformation magic, maybe they have found some way around whatever is canceling out our magic."
"Its possible. Are you thinking we should ask them about it?"
"It would increase our chances of survival..."
"Alright, let's head for the cave first, then see about tracking down those Finfolk."
Suddenly, a thought occurred to Cadence. "By the way Chrysalis, why did they give you gills for anyways? And what made you suddenly think of this?"
Chrysalis shrugged her shoulders as she began walking again. "Oh, it was so I could scissor one of them underwater while the other one watched. The one I fucked had a great ass as well."
Cadence's face stared back unable to say a word. Chrysalis got a good few yards away from her before she remembered how to move again. Quickly she ran to catch up, hoping Chrysalis would be kind enough give some more details.
***
Cadence ran into the cave with Chrysalis just seconds behind her. Rain poured from the skies like a waterfall. The had just sighted the cave when the storm hit. They had very little time before the two found themselves completely soaked to the bone in cold water.
Now in the cave, the two could only stand there, shivering. "I-I'll see if I ca-an find some d-dry wood," Cadence said unable to keep her body from shaking. Despite her boasts about being able to take the cold earlier, Chrysalis could plainly see she had underestimated her abilities.
Chrysalis rubbed her arms quickly, trying to warm herself as Cadence ran to the back of the cave. The cave was large. Easily twice as tall as she was and several yards wide. It did little to protect her from the wind as it hollowed into the cave but it did protect her from the rain somewhat as she walked further inside.
Chrysalis knelt down, her body continuing to shake, the rain soaking right through what little fabric she had. If Cadence didn't find some wood soon, they might be in trouble.
The back of the cave was dark, Chrysalis could barely see Cadence moving around back there. After a few minutes of silence, Cadence called out from a lot deeper in the cave then Chrysalis had estimated it to be. Unable to make out what was said, Chrysalis called back. "What was that? I didn't catch that."
Cadence quickly re-appeared in the dim light, "I said you need to come back here." She answered quickly, "I've found something you need to see."
Chrysalis, now very curious, picked herself up and followed Cadence back into the darkness. She put a hand to the cold walls as she did so. "Cadence, its too dark in here, how am I expected to see anything around here?"
"Trust me, that won't be a problem in a minute."
Chrysalis continued walking until the cave suddenly took a sharp turn to the left. Chrysalis blinked as light suddenly filtered into her vision. A large pool could be seen glowing just a few feet in front of her. A blue light seemed to be radiating from the pool that was just three yards across in diameter. Chrysalis knelt down and put her hand in the water. To her surprise, it was warm. "I don't understand, there isn't any volcanic activity near here. How is this pool so warm?"
Cadence knelt down beside her, "I think it has to do with the glowing blue crystals along the walls of this submerged part of the cave. This pool appears to lead somewhere."
Chrysalis' eyes widened, "They could be magic powered. If this pool leads into a chamber full of them..."
"Then maybe we could get a clue about how to use our magic around here, or at the very least, learn why it doesn't work like it should." Cadence finished.
Chrysalis began to remove her cold wet clothes, leaving them laid out on the cave floor. "How long can you hold your breath?"
Cadence smiled, "Longer than an average human. I uh... Tended to challenge my aunt Celestia on how long we could hold our breath whenever we went to the beach. She always won."
Chrysalis laughed, "You tried to win against an immortal sun goddess in a game of holding your breath?!"
Cadence gave Chrysalis a friendly shove, "Hey, I thought I had a chance at the time okay? I was young and stupid back then."
"And what are you now?"
Cadence grinned, "A much older princess of love who has come close to winning a few times since." With that, she let her bag fall unto the ground, she took off her ruined shirt and slapped it onto the ground. She bent down to remove her socks, giving Chrysalis another view of her wonderful rear. Chrysalis felt her heart skip of beat and looked away. Is she doing this on purpose?
Standing back up, Cadence turned and stared at the pool in anticipation. Taking a few deep breaths, Cadence prepared herself. She glanced at Chrysalis who was already preparing to dive in. "Ready?"
"Ready, lets see what secrets this cave has to give us."
Chrysalis could help but steal one last glance at Cadence's naked body before she plunged into the warm water. As the water enveloped her, Chrysalis made sure to slow her heart rate down as much as possible. She was going to be a bit rusty at this due to having gotten used to turning into a sea creature or giving herself gills while doing this. Now she was going to have to attempt this on her own abilities alone.
Chrysalis was surprised at how clear the water was. She looked down and could clearly see the bottom as well as the curve that led to some unknown part of the cave. Cadence was already working her way to the bottom. Chrysalis kicked off and swam after her, careful not to over extend herself. As both reached the bottom, Chrysalis could see the cave extended a ways before it appeared to curve back upwards again. Light from the chrysalis illuminated their path.
Cadence quickly began swimming forward, glancing at the crystals as she did so. Chrysalis was right behind her. About half way through the underwater tunnel, curiosity got the better of Chrysalis as she stopped next to one of the glowing crystals. Its faded blue look seemed to almost pulsate heat around it. Chrysalis rose her hand up to touch it.
Cadence looked back just in time to see Chrysalis about to touch the crystal. She felt her heart skip of beat as she raised her hand as a warning, but it was too late. Chrysalis put her hand on the crystal and was immediately hit with a pulse of pure arcane magic. Chrysalis' hand shot back as air left her lungs. Bubbles escaped her mouth as Chrysalis' body shook from the shock. The shock of the magic shooting into her body caused her to loose focus for second and that's all took before Chrysalis realized how big of a mistake that was.
Her vision was already starting to go blurry. Her body was starting to sink as Chrysalis watched her precious air bubbles float away from her. Cadence swam over, taking Chrysalis' hand and trying to lead her the rest of the way but she could tell that Chrysalis was fading fast. Cadence knew she needed to do something fast.
They were now at the end of the tunnel but still need to swim upwards to the surface. Cadence glanced back at Chrysalis who was starting to pass out. Without another thought, she swam up close to Chrysalis and pressed her mouth up against Chrysalis'. She forced as much air she could give into Chrysalis' mouth who suddenly felt her lungs expand a bit again. Realizing what Cadence had done and how much trouble she was now in, Chrysalis, now on the edge of consciousness, did the one thing she could think to do. Fighting back against her own body, Chrysalis began to take stock of what was just forced into her.
She could still feel a bit of the arcane energy coursing through her body so she decided her best action was to use it. It was going to be painful though. This wasn't her own magic but something else's. To use another's magic as their own was dangerous but she knew that she needed to get both of them out of the water now.
Pointing her feet at the ground, Chrysalis focused the magic into the bottoms of her feet. She could already feel her body protesting but she ignored it. She focused all the energy she could muster and released it in one solid burst. She grabbed tightly onto Cadence as she felt herself shoot upwards at high speeds. Unfortunately, she did not slow down once she breached the surface and flew several feet into the air.
Cadence let out a gasp as air rushed back into her lungs before crashing back down into the water with a loud splash.
Chrysalis soon splashed into the water a second later. Her mind drifted as she slipped into unconsciousness.
**
Cadence's head breached the water as she sucked in more air and coughed up a bit of water. Now treading water, Cadence could see that Chrysalis was no longer conscious and was beginning to slip back under water. Taking a deep breath, Cadence dove back under water and retrieved Chrysalis, breaking out above the surface again. She made she to keep both there heads about water as she started swimming with all her might towards the shore.
She gripped tightly to Chrysalis' body. Her legs and arms acted but she refused to give up. The ground below her was starting to curve upwards slightly and soon she able to stand. She grunted and continued to move forward. It was a struggle but eventually, she could feel bother her and Chrysalis leave the water. She quickly but carefully dragged herself and Chrysalis onto land.
Once on firm dry land, Cadence set Chrysalis down and made sure she was still breathing. She put two fingers up to her neck and waited. To her relief, she could feel a pulse. Chrysalis coughed up some water but quickly returned to her unconscious state. Now knowing the Chrysalis was alright, she collapsed onto the ground. Taking a few minutes to catch her breath, she could see that they were in large room. Glowing blue crystals lined the walls and an opening could be seen as rain poured in from above. Cadence could also make out the distant sounds of thunder.
Slowly sitting up, Cadence looked around her and realized the opening above was feeding a tree down below as well as some flowers that Cadence had never seen before. Green grass grew around them and suddenly it occurred to Cadence that she and Chrysalis were currently on white florescent sand.
Taking a deep breath and regaining some of her strength, Cadence lifted Chrysalis up and onto her back. She could feel her warm body pressing up against her back and that reminded her of how important it was to make sure she stayed that way. She brought Chrysalis over to the tree and set her down against it. She carefully set Chrysalis down so that her back could learn against the tree. After making sure Chrysalis was in a good position, Cadence sat down in front of her.
Cadence suddenly realized how strange this all was to her. Here she was, suddenly taking care of the one person who had imprisoned her, tried to steal Shining Armor, even came back for revenge and was still at it even now. And yet despite all that, Chrysalis had just saved her life. Technically it was both their lives but Chrysalis could have easily launched out of the water without her. She could have left Cadence to drown but she didn't.
Cadence knew that giving love was something that she did and she was happy to do it. She thought up till now that all she had to do was treat Chrysalis well and perhaps they could make it out alive together. But now it was different. Chrysalis seemed to really care about Cadence on some level it seemed. She figured it was going to be a one sided love most likely. Even hearing Chrysalis say she loved her she would have not actually believed it until now.
So how did she truly feel about Chrysalis now? Now she knew that she had to do everything in her power to get Chrysalis off the path of revenge and show her what the power of love could really do. If she did, she could actually see Chrysalis as more then a love buddy. Perhaps...
Cadence shook her head, right now those thoughts are for later. She needed to get Chrysalis back up to full health again. With Chrysalis having most likely drained her energy after that and damaged her magical abilities, she was going to need some ether.
It was not an easy thing to make out in the wild but it was possible. She was going to have to hope that a certain rare plant grew around here. Cupping her hand over Chrysalis' cheek, Cadence let out a small sigh, "Hang on for just a bit Chrysalis, I will be back as soon as I can, I promise."
Cadence let her hand fall as she stared at Chrysalis a moment longer. She then turned and with a determined look on her face, she headed back towards the pool, ready to adventure out and find the ether Chrysalis needed.
Author's Note
Sorry there isn't much sex this chapter but this is going to be a bit of story and sex mixed together. Next up, Cadence needs to find the right plant to make the either. Finding the plant will be easier then she thinks but getting it will be a whole other deal entirely.
