She heard something rattling in the ceiling, as if going through the vents.
“Oh joy,” Celestia muttered to herself. “Not only are there faulty lights, there are rats, too.” She sighed. She went back into her office and picked up a spray bottle in case she had an encounter with a rodent and needed some way to scare it off.
She resumed her walk down the hall, wondering how she supposed to get through all this paperwork and come out the other side in one piece.
She heard the rattling resume, then stop.
“Hmph,” Celestia muttered. “At least they’ve settled down. Maybe I can finally leave this place in peace.”
