Story 1: Revenge
School had just ended for Scootaloo. Exiting the school house alone she began to head for home. Sweetie Belle had a tutoring section with Ms. Cheerilee after class and Apple Bloom was sick. Scootaloo got towards the edge of the school yard when she noticed her scooter was missing.
“What” Scootaloo exclaimed.
“Oh my, look at the lonely Blank Flank. Missing something are we” a very familiar voice spoke out.
Scootaloo turned to see Dimond Tiara and Silver Spoon standing just a few ways away laughing at her.
“Where’s my scooter Tiara” Scootaloo asked.
“It was blocking the way towards the town, a fire hazard if you ask me. So, I asked my mom to get ride of the old piece of junk” Tiara said.
Scootaloo felt anger and sadness at the same time. That scooter was her prized possession. She’d never gone anywhere without it.
Tears started forming from her eyes. Scootaloo looked at Tiara and yelled. “How could you be so mean. I hate you and hope you burn in Tartarus” Scootaloo ran into town with tears falling through her eyes.
Scootaloo ran through town and passed her home and eventually found herself in the park. She sat down on the edge of the lake and stared into the water. Scootaloo’s eyes turned to anger and hatred as she stared at the water seeing only Tiara’s face. She will get her back for this. That tiara that Dimond Tiara always wears would be the perfect target. She never takes it off. That would show her. Scootaloo birthed an evil smile but lost it upon hearing a familiar voice.
“Hey kid, what’s shacking” Rainbow Dash said.
“R-rainbow Dash. Dimond Tiara had my scooter thrown away” Scootaloo said shedding tears again.
Rainbow Dash looked utterly shocked. “Oh man. I’m sorry Scootaloo, that was your favorite thing in the world right” Rainbow asked.
Scootaloo nodded. “She just told her mom and she threw it away. I don’t even know where it is” Scootaloo said.
“I’m sorry Scootaloo, but I don’t know what to tell you” Rainbow said.
“Don’t worry Rainbow Dash. I already have a plan” Scootaloo said.
“Really” Dash asked.
“Yeah. I’m going to take Dimond Tiara’s Tiara and destroy it. That will teach her that I will not be messed with anymore. I want revenge” Scootaloo said with hatred.
Rainbow Dash looked in shock at Scootaloo. She had never seen her like this. Pure malice was in the girl’s eyes. Rainbow Dash didn’t see anyway to reason with Scootaloo. She didn’t want her little sister figure doing something evil in return for evil being unleashed on her. Rainbow Dash thought of something to say till she remembered something she read not long ago.
“Scootaloo. What is Revenge” Rainbow Dash asked.
“Um, harming or hurting someone who hurt or harmed myself” Scootaloo answered.
“Yes. But what is revenge to you” Dash asked.
“um, something to do to get back at Dimond Tiara for destroying my scooter” Scootaloo said.
“Alright. You know what I think revenge is” Dash asked. Scootaloo shook her head.
“I think it’s a responsibility. Not one for the likes of you or me, but for the one who cares for us” Rainbow Dash said.
“What does that mean” Scootaloo asked.
“You remember me telling you about a book I read right. The only non-Daring Do book” Scootaloo nodded.
that book says that revenge shouldn’t bee tasked to us, but to God” Rainbow Dash said.
“What” Scootaloo asked confused.
“Ok squirt listen. The Bible says in the book of Romans Chapter 12 verses 17-21 ‘Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.’ This tells us that Revenge isn’t ours to take, what we should do is be nice to our neighbors as if we are family. I know that it seems hard to grasp, it was for me to at first. But those words have power behind them. When God is ready he will bestow vengeance on Dimond Tiara, but it will be in his time and in his way. Understand” Rainbow Dash said.
“I mean, I guess. But why must I be nice to her even if she isn’t to me” Scootaloo asked.
“One will pressure or bully to get a negative reaction. If you respond with kindness they will probably rethink their ways” Rainbow Dash said. “So leave vengeance to God and keep yourself positive, and remember one thing. ‘God made you special, and he loves you very much’”
“You’re right Rainbow Dash. It was bad of me to think of hurting Dimond Tiara the way she hurt me. I won’t try anything and will wait to what happens” Scootaloo said.
“Good. Now head home. You still have school tomorrow and I expect things may be different” Rainbow Dash said.
Scootaloo got up and ran for home happy and joyful. Rainbow Dash looked back into the lake, folded her hands, closed her eyes and bowed her head spoke.
“Father, you are our Rock, Fortress and Savior. You are our Rock in whom we find protection. Lord, you always keep Your promises; You are gracious in all that You do. You help those who have fallen, and You lift those who have too much to carry. People everywhere look to You in hope and You give them their food as they need it. When You open Your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing. Thank You for being a refuge of safety for those people who are being hurt by others. Thank You for being our Savior, the one who saves us from violence. Thank You for never leaving or abandoning Your people.
Holy Father, Your Word says that we are to treat people in the way that we want to be treated. We confess that we will practice this command and be kind and fair. We will be good friends and tell an adult when someone is being mean to another person. We will not push, shove, or fight. We declare that You, Lord will be the light and salvation for those who are being bullied and mistreated so they will not have to be afraid. We declare that God, You will cause the bad people who go around bullying people to fail in their actions. We confess that Your angels will protect those people who are being bullied wherever they go. We declare that You, will rescue those who love You and will protect those who trust in Your Name. Amen”
Rainbow Dash opened her eyes and stood up. She spread her wings and flew into the sky heading off to home.
The next day Scootaloo was eating lunch with Sweetie belle and Apple Bloom who got over being sick. She also told them about what happened the day before.
“I can’t believe that Dimond Tiara would go so far as to throw away your scooter.” Sweetie Belle said.
“Yeah. It sucks” Scootaloo said.
“Well aren’t you going to get her back” Apple Bloom asked.
“no. it’s not my responsibility to give vengeance. So I’m going to wait. She will get what’s coming to her in time.” Scootaloo said.
“Wow. I’ve never heard you talk like that before” Sweetie Belle said.
“Yeah, normally you’re the one that says, ‘let get them’ or ‘I have a plan’ or something like that” Apple Bloom said.
“repay no evil with evil, live peaceful with all. Rainbow Dash told me those words and I will live by them.” Scootaloo said.
The bell rang and the students all headed back towards the school house. After her friends headed in Scootaloo saw Dimond Tiara getting scolded by Ms. Cheerilee in the distance. Scootaloo gave a smirk knowing that God’s responsibility isn’t taken lightly.

a Prayer for those who seek vengeance for something done to them.
"Lord. please calm the hearts of those seeking to hurt another for something hurtful done to them or a loved one. these individuals act out blinded by their anger. these people act out of malice and wish ill intent. Lord cleanse their body and soul of the demons corrupting their mind and heart. take your rightful place in their hearts and help them see that consequences for actions will always be brought upon by you and you alone. in Jesus name, Amen."
Thank you. this is a day the Lord has made. let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Story 2: Being Scared
Flutter Shy was walking through the Everfree Forest heading home to her nice warm cottage. She had some errands that needed to be done and one of them lead her to Zecora’s place. After getting what she needed Flutter Shy found it to be dark outside. Pulling what bravery she had she marched her way home.
After a near thirty minutes of walking Flutter Shy found herself lost. It didn’t take this long to get to her home from Zecora’s. Flutter Shy continued to walk and walk. After another half hour Flutter Shy found herself even deeper in the forest.
Timber Wolves howled in the dark and Flutter Shy seemed to be seeing glowing eyes in the trees and bushes. Getting terrified Flutter Shy ran. She ran until she tripped and landed by a tree. The tree had what looked like an evil face ready to eat her and use her bones for tooth picks.
Flutter Shy rolled herself into a ball and wept. After a few minutes Flutter Shy calmed down and remembered she had something to help her. Sitting besides the tree Flutter Shy opened her back pack and pulled out her Bible.
Holding it in her hands Flutter Shy closed her eyes and said. “Oh Lord give me the strength to make it home. Tell me words of courage that I may be no longer afraid.” Flutter Shy opened the book and read the first sentence she saw.
“Isaiah Chapter 41 Verse 13. For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Flutter Shy calmed down upon reading this. “That’s right. Whenever I feel scared I feel as if someone is holding my hand. There is no need to be frightened in Gods presence. He scares away all the monsters and evil that try to seep into my mind.”
Flutter Shy closed the Bible and opened it again to another page. “Proverbs Chapter 3 Verses 5-6. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Flutter Shy took a deep breath and closed her eyes and bowed her head. “Lord, You are a good Father. Your love and care is endless. You care more about my wellbeing that even I do, no matter how much I worry over it. And you are all powerful – able to protect me completely and fully from anything that might arise. Lord, I confess I forget these truths. I confess I am prone to believe that I am alone and without any protection. Lord, I know that this is a lie I tell myself, and it only works me up into worry and fear. I repent of that worry and fear now… ultimately, I know it stems from not trusting in Your goodness toward me. Help me believe and live out of the truth that you are always close, always protecting me, always watching over every step of my life. Thank you Lord for your great love for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.” Flutter shy let out a sigh of relief. She no longer felt overwhelming fear of the dark or the forest. She felt God drape his arm around her and take her hand. With her new-found courage Flutter Shy confidently walked through the dark.
After another hour Flutter Shy reached home. Upon reaching the door, she felt cooler. Looking back into the forest Flutter Shy felt she had new found courage she never had before. She knew she could and would brave the forest again. Because she knew God would be with her.
