Chapter 2

Previous Chapter

Connor, Equestria.
After Twilight’s lecture about magic, Twilight wanted Connor to go and meet some of the girls, but she said it would have to wait as they had all left a few minutes ago, but she could introduce me to Spike and Starlight, once she found them of course. Connor and Twilight were walking around the castle, and Twilight decided to show Connor to his room, and give him a tour of the castle before dark.

“So, Connor what do you think,” Twilight said as Connor looked around the room, it was a nice little room for Connor to rest in, that is if Connor actually needed to sleep, it had a red rug sitting on the floor in the center of the room, a small bed in the far left corner, a dresser that was made from complete crystal, and to top it all off a huge walk in closet.

“It’s nice, though I thought it was implied that, I don’t need sleep,” Connor answered, “Though I think it’s a bit much anyway.”

“Oh, how so?” Twilight quickly questioned.

“Well for starters, 80% of the room is made of crystal, which to this scale, is probably not cheap, and the other 20% is made of an unknown substance,” Connor abruptly addressed, “And most of the furniture is also made of crystal, which again is not cheap, and as for me not needing sleep, i’m an Android, like I said before, I don’t need sleep.”

Twilight pondered what Connor said, after a few seconds she decided to just move on to the next room, just to move things along so she could try and introduce him to the others. On the remainder of the tour Connor was awfully silent, Twilight had shown him the Kitchen, Her Room, The Library, The Study, and finally The Map room where she and her friends spend 70% of their time in the castle.

“Hey Connor?” Twilight asked, after Connor responded with a quick and simple Yes? “Why were you being chased?” Twilight continued.

This question caught Connor of guard, in that moment he completely froze, as the memories of him being chased in his mind, the destruction of Jericho, being cut off from Markus, falling through the portal, it all raced through his mind as he started to shake.

“Why?” Connor said in a dark voice.

“Why? What? Why do I want to know?” Twilight inquired, “Because your my newest friend and I would like to know what’s bothering you.” 'Also i'd like to learn more as to where your from'

“Alright, I can understand that answer but,” Connor exclaimed a bit sadly, “I don’t want to talk about it yet, so please don’t try and pry it from me.” Connor began to show more and more emotions this time being sadness, Twilight noticed, the change of emotions, so she didn’t want to bring it up anymore. And as if on cue, Starlight walked into the room cutting off the conversation, so she could talk to Twilight, she walked right next to me without noticing I was there.

“Hey Twilight I was wondering if you cou-” Starlight abruptly cut herself off as she finally noticed, a look of fear being plastered on her face, the ‘thing’ that landed on Twilight was standing right next to her, in that moment she froze not wanting to make the first move, but Twilight realized what was going on, so she quickly stepped in between both of us.

“Uhh, Starlight this is Connor, Connor meet Starlight.” Twilight tried to calm Starlight down, and succeeded, Starlight visibly relaxed and looked at Twilight.

Connor replied with a short “Hello.” As he was still a bit agitated from Twilight's earlier question to manage a proper greeting.

“Twilight, can you please tell me what it’s still doing here?” Starlight nervously asked.

“Well Starlight, it turns out that, when I casted the spell, I kind of saved their life, and he said he was being chased and he was about to... Get hurt, but the portal helped him escape, but he didn’t go into much details as he still seems, a bit shaken up from the experience,” Twilight explained, “Also he has nowhere else to go until I can find his homeworld and see if the spell can work without me getting crushed by something,”

Starlight looked at Connor, in hopes of what Twilight said about him were wrong, but all she got was sorrowful look inside his eyes. “Well, I suppose I could put up with him, but if I have to start dragging him around expect me to just ditch him,” Starlight Countered, “But hey I wonder how Spike will react?”

"Where is he anyway?" Twilight asked inquisitively.

"Probably helping rarity with some sort of Dress," Starlight answered calmly, "Besides i'm sure he'll be happy to have somepony new around,"

Connor finally thought this was the best time to ask a few question just so he could learn more about this 'World.'
"Hey is it alright if I ask some questions?"

To which Starlight replied "Well i'd be rude to say no after you just asked one, so go ahead,"

"Alright, so first I want to know why does one of you have wings and the other doesn't?" Connor asked with a hint of curiosity in his voice.
Connor then noticed Starlight facepalm or in their case 'face-hoof?' Because of that action, Connor realised that was the wrong question to ask, as he remembered the lecture from Twilight earlier, right after he realized his mistake, Twilight's eyes suddenly widened, her magic flaring up to grab several different books.
"Twilight, before you lecture me again, let me ask you my other questions first, then you may lecture me." Connor blurted out as fast as he could, just in time to, as Twilight was about to cast a silencing spell on Connor.

"Um, ok i'll try to refrain from lecturing you till after I answer your other questions," Twilight irritatedly responded, "but make sure you pay close attention to my lecture afterwards or i'll restart from the beginning,"

Connor began nervously, hoping to not begin another lecture, "So Twilight, Starlight, What is this world called?"

Twilight was about to speak before Starlight interrupted her quickly saying "Equus Prime, that's what this worlds called, but before you ask what country were in, it's called Equestria,"

Connor was a bit surprised as Starlight knew his next question before it even came out of his mouth. Starlight thought this would be the best time as any to get Connor out of here, as she teleported him and herself away to a different section of the castle, so they didn't have to worry about any more lectures.

"Now, I have some questions to ask," Starlight grinned

Earth, Detroit, Nov, 10th 2038 CE

Markus looked around the new location they were using as a hide out, with Jericho destroyed it's a lot harder to hide in the bustling city of Detroit, especially since the humans were now at full alert, looking in every nook and cranny for any remaining androids. But luckily for the last remaining deviants, they found a small chapel they could use as a temporary place to stay.
Markus walked towards his lover, North "Are you all right from the attack, North?" Markus calmly questioned.

"Yeah a bit shaken up though, so many of our people died," North's expression changed from neutral to a darker one, "We could have saved them, if we just weren't so careless, we let them gain to much evidence!"

"Hey hey, calm down, it's going to be alright," Markus wasn't phased much by her small outburst, "We will get through this, we need to move past our mistakes and look towards the future, we can still win this, North, and if we can't, we'll at least know we died for our cause,"

"Yeah, I guess so, but do you have any idea what happened to, Connor?" North asked

Markus was taken aback by that question as, he himself had not thought of it, he was so caught up in the moment he forgot all about Connor and how he saved North's life. Markus was beginning to let his mind wander as to what had happened to Connor, after he got cut off from him he didn't see nor hear anything about Connor, Now that he thought about it, he remembered that strange source of energy he felt a few minutes after Connor was cut off from the group.

"Hello? Markus you there?" North began, "I asked you a question and you just, zoned out!"

"Oh, sorry got a bit distracted," Markus replied, "It's just, when, Connor got seperated a few seconds after that, I felt, this strange energy, like a massive surge of power constantly fluctuating in power, and then it just stopped with no warning,"

"Markus, you know how dumb that sounds? If there was a strange energy, why would you be the only one to feel it? Cause no one else here mentioned anything about some weird energy," North remarked.

"Well, it does sound kind of dumb but," Markus started, "I'm not going to take any chances, if that energy had something to do with, Connor, I will find out what caused it and what it did, we just need to hope that, he is still alive,"

Author's Note

Yeah I know in my comments I said I'd write two thousand words but I think i'll slowly increase the amount of words I write as time goes on as I have loads going on in my life but don't worry I do not plan on quitting this story or putting it on hiatus anytime soon.
So I'll see you all next chapter and this time i double checked the reading as i really wanted to have only little mistakes and not big ones.
