Planning Her Friend's Death

Rarity was walking through town one day as she had to get numerous material from different shops for her dresses since she was running low. She had wished that she didn't have to buy some that day but she knew that she had to. As she got materials for her shop she saw Princess Celestia looking around out side.

Rarity was thrown off about Celestia being out in public for a few moments as Celestia doesn't go out often. As she went to do more shopping Princess Celestia called out to her. She stopped and turned around to face Celestia. She went up and hugged her which confused the other ponies around her as day weren't used to seeing ponies hug the princess but Rarity had a right to as she was as close to Celestia as Twilight and Luna were.

"I'm sorry Celestia I didn't know that you wanted to see me. What do you need? Rarity asked. Celestia motioned her to come closer to her.

"Can you come over to the castle? There's something that I have to talk to you about." Celestia said. Rarity smiled and nodded.

"Sure. Lead the way." Rarity said. Celestia led her to the castle. When they went inside they went up to Celestia's room and shut the door. Celestia motioned for Rarity to sit at the tea table and pour some for Rarity. Rarity thanked her and drank the tea while Celestia had some herself. Once they were done with the tea.

"Your probably guessing why I needed to see you Rarity? I'm going to make this short and cut to the chase....I want you to kill me Rarity. And I want the deed done tomorrow night after I hang out with Twilight." Celestia said. Rarity almost choked on her tea from shock due to the suggestion.

Celestia waited for Rarity to gain composure to respond. Rarity finally stopped and shrieked with disbelief.

"What!? Your asking me to kill you!? Why!? Celestia I don't want to do that! I love you!" Rarity ranted.

"I love you to Rarity. More than I can bare. You have always been close to me for a while now. I'm choosing you to carry out this task as you know death spells and plus I could never ask Twilight as she would out right refuse. This will devastate her when this happens. I wrote a letter to her which is already in her possession but she hasn't found it yet. She will after tomorrow." Celestia explained.

"Celestia I get all that but what is the main reason for which you want to die for. I don't like the sound of this at all Celestia. I need a reason before I can decide on this!" Rarity begged. Celestia sighed and stared at her friend.

"You have to kill me in order to throw off future assassins and my enemies. They can't find out that I exist. Please I need your help." Celestia explained to Rarity.

Rarity took all of this into account. She still couldn't fathom killing Celestia as she loved Celestia and she couldn't fathom killing somepony that she loved but she was probably going to end up doing it anyway as it sounded like it needed to happen. She shook her head and sighed and looked at the floor.

"I can't do it. Find somepony else." Rarity said.

"You must be the one to kill me Rarity. It is the only way. Only then will my enemies stop." Celestia said as she touched Rarity's back. Rarity thought about it and finally agreed to do it as she knew that Celestia had a good reason.

"Alright Celestia. I'll do it. Where will you be? Where do I have to be?" Rarity asked.

I'll be flying around with Twilight as I want to enjoy one last good day with her. I want you waiting there with my friends. Do not tell them as a letter will explain. Luna might set the guards on you but I came prepared for that by writing the letter that will explain everything to Twilight. Hide until Twilight reveals our plan and then you can hang out with your friends again." Celestia said.

Rarity sighed and nodded as she went over everything that Celestia said. Rarity hugged her tightly as she felt tears started to spill out. Celestia soothed her.

"I'll miss you. After this you'll be gone for good." Rarity whispered. Celestia smiled sadly at her.

"I understand sweetheart. But even if I'm gone from this world I'll always be with you in your heart." Celestia said with a soft voice. Rarity fought back tears.

"Will I ever see you again?" Rarity whispered as she was overcome with emotion.

"You just might." Celestia Said. Rarity got herself together and calmed herself down. Celestia let her friend calm down and then Rarity spoke.

"I love you so much Celestia. You will always be Twilight's mentor in Twilight's heart and you will always be my special friend in my heart as well." Rarity said as she got herself under control. Celestia responded.

"I love you to Rarity. I'll always be in your heart." Celestia said. Rarity nodded and after that they just hugged eachother. As they hugged tears spilled out of Rarity's eyes. Celestia wiped them away.

"I don't want you to die!" Rarity cried. Celestia comforted Rarity.

"I know Rarity. Your wonderful like that. I love you so much Rarity. One day you won't have to miss me anymore as you will be with me in the afterlife." Celestia whispered kindly.

Celestia comforted Rarity for a while and then Rarity started to calm down even though she was very saddened about her destiny. Rarity left Celestia's room as they had it all planned out. They both knew that this plan was about to change Equestria. They both knew that this event will be etched into the memory of so many ponies. Their plan was about to shock everypony in Equestria but they had to do it for the good of Equestria and they had to do it no matter what.
