The retelling of my own failed story, and this time is one shot.

After having finished her usual daily bucking of apple trees, Applejack went looking for Winona. She found her digging the ground next to a tree and found a bizarre fruit being encased inside a crystal. As she retrieved the fruit that was inside, strange things happened. From the fruit disappearing to Winona suddenly attacking one of her friends.

But these two things were just only part of a strange infection that is affecting not only the ponies around her but herself as well. Because she is just it's unwitting starting point.

Three things:

1) This retelling is a one-shot because I wanted to show you what I had planned and sparing you the whole foreshadowing that I had failed to execute.

2) Is not a zombie story but a bizarre one with a supposed body horror.

3) I won't spoil anything but if you want a hint, is based on something I saw in a movie.
