The Black Mass

It was now one in the morning and Logan had just finished healing half of the patients at the hospital, and was almost out of electricity.
"Is this town really this clumsy?" Logan asked as he finished healing a broken back leg.
"There's just... a lot of ponies in Canterlot," Luna said yawning on after her first two words, "the more ponies there are the more often accidents happen." Logan noticed Luna was stuggling to stay awake, she was getting bored and standing in one place wasn't helping, she probably long to be back at the palace playing Battlepony 3. Her eyes fluttered as she tryed to keep them open, she yawned again as Logan began to heal a pony who accidentally cut herself with a knife.
"You should go cack to the palace," Logan said, "you've been yawning since midnight,"
"And why would I do that?" Luna asked, "I could always say I would like to keep Rainbow Dash company and sleep in a chair next to her." Rainbow Dash, Logan hadn't healed her yet
"Point taken," Logan said, "but it's not the best excuse,"
"Either way I'm going to use it now," Luna said walking away from Logan and toward the front desk. Logan could hear what they were saying, and it sounded like Rainbow Dash was the furthest from the front desk. Ironic that she broke a wing, most of the time she was talking she was also flying.
Well at least she only broke her wing, if she was flying foreward and hit her head she could have been in real trouble. Logan remembered hearing that the you could break your spine if you hit a wall with your head down, and you only had to be going walking speed.
Logan finished healing the pony who cut herself with a knife and moved on to the next pony. Ironicly, she was a nurse at the hopital, "What happened, to you?" Logan asked.
"I bumped my nose, and now it won't stop bleeding" she said. Logan healed it in a matter of seconds and she stepped aside for the next pony. Then a device started beeping she looked at it and read aloud with a bit of confusion, "Rainbow Dash's heart rate sky rocketed,"
"Luna probably just walked in her room," Logan said, "your heart rate can increase from being supprised,"
"Princess Luna is still walking dow the hall," the nurse said, Logan looked down the hall Luna went and saw the she was entering the stairs of elevator.
"Then she probably angry that she cant fly," Logan said, "your heart rate can increase from anger too."
The nurse put her head down and a hoof on her shin and considered this, "It makes sense," she said, "Rainbow Dash was very upset when the doctors told her she broke her wing."
Logan turned to the next pony in line and started healing a broken nose, then alowed himself to drift off into his own thoughts. Logan had been gone for two days now, he wondered if anyone noticed he was missing. "They never believe me if I told them the mess I'm in," Logan mumbled to himself, "it's way to abominable situation," The only way they would have the slightest chance of believing he fought and killed creatures that didn't exsist in his world was if he remined them of the beat down he gave Mike.
Logan saw he was done healing the broken nose hen moved on to the next pony. She had stiches from the top of her chest, to the bottom of her belly, "Surgery?" Logan asked, receiving a nod. he began healing her alowing himself to slip into his thoughts again. 'I'm so grounded when or if I get home,' Logan thought to himself.
Even though Logan made a few friends here, he missed many things, hockey, family, friends, but strangely the thing he missed most was his place as the punching bag, the complaint taker, and basically the social worker. Logan knew these unhappy thoughts would plague his mind, so he tried taking his mind off it, "Think of something completely off topic," Logan said to himself. He thought for a moment, "If you choke a smurf, what color will it turn?" He asked himself, and chuckled at the thought of it turning white.
"A smurf?" the mare questioned, Logan nodded his head still chuckling, "Is that what their calling it now?"
"Oh stop it!" Logan said in a loud whisper. All of the sudden Logan heard a familiar beeping sound but instead of one doctor or nurse it was all of them. Logan finished healing the mare and turned towards the group of doctors comparing devices, "What's wrong?" Logan asked.
"Strange," One of them said, "All of our notifying devices say that the patients' heart rates are increasing and if we look at it room by room the next patient who heart reat will increase wil be-" The doctor's sentence was cut short by a shrill scream. It was so blood curdling that electricity flowed into his hands and lifted him of the ground for a second. He decided to figure out how that happened later somepony was terrified.
Logna ran into the room where the scream came from which wasn't far. He looked around the room to see a dark black mass hovering over the frightened mares bed. "Hey ugly," Logan shouted, "what's wrong with you, scaring ponies like that," The black mass did nothing. Logan turn to the doctors for an answer of what it was, but all he saw was a look of sheer horror as they stared above him. "It's now righ behind me isn't it." the look on there face said yes, so he turned around.
It was now right in front of him hovering in the air, from the dark mass Logan could see a face forming. It was not a pony it had six yellow eyes that sometimes looked orange from the lighting, its stare was soulless that of a cold blooded killer, only four could be seen when it looed at Logan. It had no nose just holes, and the teeth were long and sharp, stained with blood, with the front teeth similar to fangs. It stared at Logan who was trying his best to keep a straight face. It took a deep breath in and screamed, "RRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
Blood and spit flew out of its mouth as it screamed jaw unhinged. It was like a gust of foul wind and almost blew Logan over. When it had finished it turned translucent and passed through Logan, it felt like his inards were either being torn apart on the inside or they were about to become his outards. Logan sent electricity to the spot it as passing through and shocked it, it only grunted in pain and left the hospital. Logan ran outside to persue it but it was gone.
"What was THAT?!" one mare shouted.
Logan didn't know but it didn't seem friendly, it might have been Death himself. Logan remembered hearing that Death could take on any shape or form, but he would always be followed by a trail of darkness. Logan turned and walked back to the people in line still waiting to e healed. Logan had finally noticed that he felt weak like his knees were about to give in at any moment. Logan told himself that THING was gone and his normal strength.
Logan saw that all the fillies and colts were crying, he had to cheer them up. 'electric pulse,' Logan thought, 'better make it small though,' He gathered up all the young sent a few sparks into the air. The sparks popped in a four inch ball of translucent electricity. The colts wowed and the fillies giggled, Logan shot more sparks into the air all timed so the display would last longer as he walked to the front of the line to heal the next pony who had boken a few ribs.
"So what was that thing?" The pony asked.
"You tell me," Logan said, "this is your world not mine," Logan finished healing the pony and sent more sparks to the young before starting to heal the next pony.
"What was that thing?" The mare asked, Logan saw this would keep happening.
"If you ask me what that thing was you're wasting your time, I don't know!" Logan called out to the line of ponies. he began to heal the mare as quicly as possible hoping that Luna might have an answer. Logan turn his thoughts to that thing, those soulless yellow eyes, and razor sharp teeth, Logan thought for a second it might have come out of hell.
Logan turned his thoughts away from the thing and turned them towards home. He missed playing and practicing hockey. He would probably need to retape the blade of his stick when or if he got back, and if he did, would he still have his powers? These thoughts also plagued his mind so he stopped thinking about his problems. Slowly but surely logan got to the last pony.
"The great Trixie demands you heal her," the pony said.
"How about 'please heal me' you pompus idiot," Logan said. He healed her but rapidly giving her a shock and poffy hair. Logan walked down the hall and up the stairs. Rainbow Dash's room was the furthest from the main door, probably to keep her from leaving. He had heard Rainbow Dash was not one to have a controlled temper or patience. She like to nose around in others business that was for sure.
Logan walked in saw Luna's back turned to the door looking at Rainbow Dash who was in the corner with a look of sheer terror on her face.
"Rainbow Dash? Luna?" Logan called in confusion, "What's wrong Rainbow?"
"I-I-I sh-she," Rainbow tried to say, she turned back to Luna tears begining to flow out of her eyes, "p-pl-please, please!, PLEASE! DON'T KILL ME!" Rainbow's voice was a terrified scream. Her eyes went wide, "NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, I DON'T WANT TO DIE, I DON'T WANT TO DIE, I DON'T WANNA- AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" Rainbow let out a blood curdling scream as she collapsed to the floor. Her scream and crying stopped and she started sobbing.
Rainbow looked up at Luna again and her eyes went wide with horror, "NO NOT AGAIN I'LL DO ANYTHING, NO, NO, NOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" another blood curdling scream, then her wide eyes instead of crying tears started crying blood.
"Luna!" Logan screamed as he ran over to her, "what's happening to-"
"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" Logan was knocked back by an all too familiar roar.
Luna turnedround and what Logan saw sent a chill of terror up his spine. Luna's body was still all there but her head was now that of the dark mass.
