Ugh.Chapter Six - Inner DemonsChapter Seven - Out of Control SOULChapter Eight- Meanwhile in EquestriaPrologue- From the Journal of Princess LunaChapter One- GraduationChapter 1: Graduation Jem walked down from the podium. Everyone applauding him for graduating Middle School. He's remember this for the rest of his life. Funny thing is, he'd say the same thing during high school graduation and instantly forget about it. Jem was, as many would say, normal. A generic everyday human. Looks can be deceiving though. In fact, he isn't normal at all. He plays a ton of video games, works part time at the local pizzeria, and even watches a show no one would expect to watch. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Jem was a closet brony, meaning that he didn't show or tell many people that he liked the show and fandom. The only people he's ever told was his older sister, parents, and his best friend, Gabriel, who was a brony himself. Each of them supported him and didn't really care. As Jem walked down the aisle, he heard his best friend calling his name. He searched the crowd for his best friend, which was hard considering they were all wearing their school uniforms. Jem finally found Gabriel and took the seat next to him. As more kids were called up, Gabriel started talking: "So, did you here about the semi season finale?" he asked. Jem smiled. He was talking about the new episode coming in a few weeks. "Yeah I heard, how could I not have?" He replied. "We waited one and a half seasons for Chrysalis to come back! Now she actually is! Aren't you excited?!" Gabriel exclaimed. Jem liked to think of Gabriel as the more humanoid and masculine version of pinkie. Not only did he have poofy red hair, but he was also optimistic and had the same bubbly, random attitude. He was sort of the class clown which got him into trouble. What kind of kid fills up every locker lock with gum?! "Look, dude, this isn't the time or place to be talking about this." Jem answered back. Then as a last resort, he put on a goofy accent and started saying: "Are you bovvered?" He said. "Don't you dare Gabe." "Bovvered?" He continued. This went on for a few minutes. Jem obviously lost and they both ended up laughing. "SHHHH!" Ms. Tarry hissed. They both turned around in their seats. Ms. Tarry was one of the main reasons they were happy to leave middle school. She sent them to the principal's office for no reason then gave them detention for unexcused absence. She was almost like Mr. Krupp from Captain Underpants but female. And she wasn't hypnotized. They tried it in February. It didn't end well. After the awards were given out, the students were released and allowed to be sent home. "We're SO proud of you Jem!" Jem's mother, Alexandra, said as she hugged and kissed him. "Mooooom! C'mon you're embarrassing me!" Jem said. "Join the club buddy," Gabe said as his mother did the same thing. "It'll be worse at high school." They both shared a good laugh after that. Finally, it was time to go home. Until Ms. Tarry walked in front of Jem and his family. "Summer school." She said. "What?" Jem asked in response. "You and Gabriel have summer school." She said. "Excuse me ma'am." Jem's dad, Michael, said, "My son passed with As and Bs. I don't think you should be looking for my son for summer school." "Are you a teacher sir?" She asked mockingly. "Because-" "I teach at the local college." Michael said in response. "Psychology." "That's enough Janice!" The principal butted in, "Don't try getting your student in trouble on his last day. He passed fair and square." With that, Ms. Tarry stormed off with a huff. "I'm so sorry about her. It's been rough since her husband passed. Everything didn't end on good terms." He sighed. "Well, have a good summer Jeremy." "You too Mr. Kowalski." Jem replied. With that, he and his family walked outside and into the car. "So son, what was that about?" Mike asked. "She doesn't exactly like Gabe and I." He answered "Well I could see that, but there's always a reason to these types of things." Mike replied. "Gabe pulled a couple of pranks and I helped out on a couple of them. But not by much I swear!" "(Sigh) I'll give you a break for this one since it's graduation." Mike said "As long as you don't do it again, we'll be happy." Alexandra added. Jem smiled. He was happy to have such understanding parents. And his father was truly good at his job. He was an excellent psychologist as well as a teacher. There wasn't one student he failed! When they finally got home, his parents went back to work, his sister to school, and Jem ran inside and turned on his Xbox One S. He went online and played Star Wars Battlefront Two. He may suck at the game, but he loved playing it! After playing for a while his family came home. They had made his favorite dinner. Linguini with Clam Sauce, the old family recipe. He thought that his summer would be calm, relaxing, with nothing big going on whatsoever. Well, besides politics but that's besides the point. "Jem, could you take the trash out buddy?" His father asked. Jem did as he was told and went into the back to the bins. As he went over, he heard something moving inside of the trash can. It was swaying, moving as if whatever was in there was desperately trying to escape. Jem opened the bin and suddenly everything flashed and went black. Jem opened his eyes to find an odd creature staring at him. It had a large, long row of teeth, it was a sick brown color, had the look of a human, it had a tuft of brown hair on top of its misshapen head, red bulging eyes, and it was bipedal. He felt a warmth in his chest. He looked down and saw a glowing red heart in the center. He started to walk away from the beast and the world came back into vision. Jem had wondered what had just happened, but as he wondered, the beast climbed out and scurried away. Jem not believing his eyes put the trash in the trash can and ran inside. He locked the door and was about to run upstairs when his mother asked, "Could you take Jojo for a walk?" He rolled his eyes and walked back downstairs. He put the collar and leash around the dog's neck and walked outside. 'What the hell was that thing?" Jem wondered, "And where did it come from? It wasn't from here, that's for sure. Jem started to feel warm. The warmness, turned into heat. Soon his feet were burning and he picked up his dog and jumped onto the grass nearby. He finally cooled down. He barely dodged a car that was driving on the sidewalk. "Hoowhee! We got it boys! Lets get the heck outta here!" Screamed one of the men in the car. They were called, The Hunters. Unoriginal, but the name fit them well. They were definitely hunters down to the bone. All they did was find innocent creatures, and BANG! It's said, they never miss a shot. And Jem really didn't want to know what they caught. As soon as they were in the Wildlife preserve across the street, Jem let Jojo do her business and brought her back to the house. As Jem and his dog walked to the porch, his feet felt hot again. This time, he looked down and saw that the ground was glowing faintly, the colors of the rainbow. The glow moved away from where he was standing and he instantly cooled off. He was entranced at what he had seen. As he and his dog got to the front porch: Jem turned around to see a ring of rainbow in the sky, slowly spreading out. He had sworn he had seen that before. He then saw something else. Chunks of soil and plants flew up into the air and fell, revealing a creature flying up into the air. It was followed by a rope with a couple of other creatures attached to it. It then hit Jem. That was a Sonic Rainboom, Those were the six ponies and dragon he had watched every Saturday. The ones he had wished were real, were real. Two Hours Ago Equestria: The Celestia Era, 24 moons after Luna's return. "So let me get this straight Twilight," Rainbow Dash said, "You want me to use my sonic rainbow to break through the BARRIER, so you can study the monsters? You were kinda straight forward with the details." "That's the thing Rainbow," Twilight said, "there are so many monsters behind it that need to be studied. If my calculations are correct, and you hit the barrier in this exact spot first," She gestured to an X on a picture of the BARRIER, "then you might be able to break through the barrier without breaking it entirely." "Twilight I still think this is a bad idea." Spike said entering Twilight's Headmistress office with a stack of paperwork, "Princess Celestia gave you strict orders to not do this! Since when do you break her rules?" "Spike, in order to discover the unknown, you need to think outside the box!" she replied. "There's a difference between thinking outside the box and completely destroying it!" he shot back. "That's enough y'all," Applejack intervened, "Twi, this is your decision. Personally, I feel that you shouldn't go through with this. But if you want to do this, its your choice, not ours." "Thank you Applejack." Twilight smirked,"Anypony else?" Nopony said anything, "Good, now lets go." "Applejack dear, "Rarity whispered, "Are you sure this will go well?" "I never said I thought it would." she replied. "I just don't understand why she invited me along." Fluttershy whispered to them. "Well duh!" Pinkie exclaimed in her cheery attitude, "Obviously Twilight will need your help if we run into a monster! I mean, only you will be able to talk to it, so won't that be easy for you?" "*gulp* I hope..." Fluttershy said hesitantly. "Don't worry girls, I know everything will turn out fine." Twilight called back to them, "I'll have Starlight here to stay in contact with us. She'll be able to get help if anything goes wrong." After they left the school they headed toward the Everfree Forest, to the mountainside where the BARRIER was located. When they finally reached the Mountainside, they saw a glowing, jagged wall. Sunlight poured inside as if nothing were there. Twilight set up her equipment. A meter to check wind speed, a monitor to show the strength of the barrier, and much, much more. She tied AJ's lasso around Rainbow's barrel and tied the rest of it around one of each of her friends forelegs. "Ready Rainbow Dash?" Twilight asked. "I sure hope so!" Rainbow called back. As she made sure the lasso was tight enough she flew up into the air, high enough to get a good start, but low enough to keep her friends on the ground. It was a very, very long lasso. finally she flew straight down building up speed and gaining the momentum to cause her specialty sonic rainboom. Finally she nearly reached the ground and flew straight at the barrier. As she hit it, she disappeared into a swirling vortex of rainbow light. "RAINBOW!" they all yelled. "We have to pull her back!" Twilight yelled. "Everypony pull!" They did as they were told and tried their hardest. Even Applejack couldn't pull her back through. They finally gave in and were also pulled through the vortex. The portal was in the middle of the barrier and monsters also slipped in. Present Jem stared as Rainbow scouted the area. He left his dog on the porch and ran over to the preserve. He pulled himself over the fence and walked through the tall grass. He slowly made a small dent in the grass to make room for his eyes to look around. He saw the clearing and five ponies and one dragon. He looked up to find Rainbow Dash still searching the area. Jem then heard a gunshot ring through the air. The next thing he knew Rainbow was falling towards the ground. The other six creatures held their ears in pain. In the distance Jem heard some people cry, "We got it fellas! Lets go get it!" It was the hunters. And they weren't going to show mercy. Author's Note I hope this story will do better than the last. Chapter Two- Power of the SOULChapter 2: Power Of The SOUL Rainbow had hit the ground with a sickening thud. Her friends had ran over to tend to her wounds. Jem knew that only a human could take care of a bullet wound. Since no one was around, and the hospital would probably send them off somewhere, it had to be him and his family. He saw the car driving towards them through the tall grass. He didn't have a lot of time to act. What could he do? Could he even do anything? As he looked at the ground he saw purple light emitting from behind him. He looked back and saw the car flipped over, burned, and Jem could definitely see a flame on top. Twilight obviously shot her magic at the car. He tried to listen to their conversation but all he could hear were neighs and whinnies. "I guess they don't use the same language." Jem said quietly to himself. He then heard the car door open. The leader of the hunters fell out of the toasted car. His arm was mangled, his face strewn with blood, it was amazing he had even survived. He spoke with malice and menace in his voice. "I will kill all of you." he said in a gravely voice, "I don't know what you are, but I will kill you." The six creatures tilted their heads. They couldn't understand a word the hunter was saying. Twilight powered up her horn and an orb emitted around the clearing. Now, for some miraculous reason, Jem could understand everything they were saying. "Are you alright? I promise we didn't mean to harm you. We were just frightened and-" she didn't finish as she stared in horror at the weapon in the other hand of the hunter being prepared to fire. "Nighty night." The leader of the hunters said as he stood up from the rubble. He was about to pull the trigger when Jem ran out of the tall grass. He dived in front of the girls and Spike and suddenly, the world flickered, and soon the only light was one emitting from his chest. The red heart was back. He felt something in his back pocket. It was a dagger. Small, but definitely enough to kill another. This is the pacifist version of the story. I might go back to the beginning with another story and make genocide. But he didn't use it. He dropped the knife and walked up to the pixelated version of the hunter leader. He pressed his hand on the forehead and said, "Don't kill them. These creatures are special. If you kill them, you'll have to kill me too." The heart glowed even brighter, and soon, the world came back. The hunter was crying and soon, Jem realized, he was too. Then the hunter stopped and said, "Ok." Jem backed away and smiled. Until, "I'll kill you too." But before he could shoot again, the sound of another gunshot ran through the air. Jem leapt back in surprise. He could hear Applejack yelp and fall backwards. "Get down y'all!" The hunter ran away, leaving a trail of bloody bootprints in his path. Jem turned around and saw the others staring at him in fear. He walked towards them until Applejack yelled, "Stay back monster!" she said in a fighting stance. 'Monster?' Jem wondered. They must've been talking about him. Since the place was filled with trash there had to be something white to make a flag out of. They only thing he could find was a pair of white underpants with, what he hoped was, dirt stains. He found a stick and wrapped the underwear around it making a flag. they all stared at him curiously as he did so. He held it up into the air and waved his makeshift flag. "Is he... surrendering?" he heard Rarity ask. "I don't think that thing is dangerous. It would've attacked us by now," Spike added, "Right?" He asked Twilight who slowly walked toward Jem. Jem lowered the flag and stepped towards them. He now had a better view of the ponies and dragon. They were almost as tall as him if not about a few inches lower. He reached out his hand to make sure what he was seeing was actually there. Twilight stepped back in fear. Jem didn't expect them to trust him just yet. He looked over at Rainbow Dash who was still unconscious. He began to walk past Twilight to look at Rainbow's injury when Applejack tackled him. "Don't go anywhere near her!" She yelled. "I-I'm only trying to help!" He yelled back. They all gasped around him. "You can talk?!" They all asked. Suddenly, they heard a gun being cocked from behind them. "Kid! Are you okay?" The ranger yelled. "Yeah I'm fine!" Jem yelled back, "So, uh, can you get off of me now?" "If you think I'm gonna trust you," Applejack said slowly, "Then you can..." She didn't finish when she noticed the Ranger coming towards them. She stepped back and Jem stumbled to his feet. Then he noticed that the ranger wasn't a ranger at all. He was a trainee. His Rookie Badge shined the word, "Calvin Streak". "You guys o-" He had noticed the ponies."Ya know what, I've seen stranger things than this. You should get inside. All of you." "Can you at least help their friend? She was shot in the wing." Jem asked "I'm sorry, I haven't learned first aid yet. All i've learned is how to scare off predators." He said "But he wasn't a predator." Jem said. "He may as well have been a predator for something else." He replied. "You need to find something to numb the pain, keep the blood in, take the bullet out, and then patch it right up. Here." The ranger threw him a vodka bottle. "It's my dad's. I'm only Eighteen, I can't drink yet." With that the park ranger hopped into his car and drove away. "You all, come with me." Jem said. "And why should we do that?" AJ asked. She was really starting to get on Jem's nerves. "Do you want to see your friend alive again or not?!" He yelled. Applejack didn't have any objections, so she, the girls, and Spike followed him back home. Twilight carried Rainbow in her magic back to the house. The only problem was his family sitting on the couch. He had no choice but to show them his new friends. "Stay out here for one second." They nodded and he walked inside. A couple of minutes later, he walked back out with his family. They were shocked that they were on the porch at all. "Twilight, can you cast your communication spell again?" Jem asked. She nodded in reply and cast the spell. They could now communicate. "Jeremy, are they safe?" His dad asked. "Dad they are, and they need our help, can you get me a dry towel?" he asked. "Right." his Dad ran to the wash room to get a towel. Jem invited them inside and as soon as they entered, Pinkie started running around the place. "Wowza! Look at all of this cool stuff! What's that giant moving picture on the wall?" She asked. "I'll explain later." Jem said, "First we need to help your friend." They put rainbow onto the coffee table and looked at her wing. Jem took out the vodka. "Where did you get that?!" His mom asked. "A park ranger trainee gave it to me to help numb the pain." He answered. He poured some vodka onto a rag and rubbed around the area where the bullet had shot. Rainbow flinched but only a little. He applied more pressure to the wound with a dry, clean towel. He slowly lifted the wing to search for the exit wound, surprisingly there wasn't, so this would be much harder. "Ok, so there isn't an exit wound, so I'm gonna have to pull it out." "P-pull what out?" Twilight stammered. "The bullet. She could get lead poisoning if I don't." Jem answered. "Luckily, her wings are rather thin, so it couldn't have gone too deep." He was right a tiny bit of the bullet was sticking out. Not a lot of it, but some. He searched a drawer for some tweezers. But the moment he touched the bullet, he was shocked. "OW!" "Oh my goodness! are you alright?" Fluttershy asked. "Yeah I'm fine." Jem said. "For some reason, the bullet is electrically charged?" "Oh no!" Twilight said burying her head into her hooves. "What's wrong Twi?" Spike asked. "My magic!" She exclaimed. "My magic must've charged the bullet!" "Maybe you can pull it out then?" Jem asked. Twilight stepped forward and charged up her horn. Jem still applied pressure to the wound. Then in one pull, the bullet popped out. Then came the bleeding. The wings definitely had blood vessels. "I need some bandages!" Jem yelled. Fluttershy pulled some out of her saddlebag and wrapped it around RD's wing. She was saved. They all sat on the large couch surrounding their friend. They were silent for a very long time. They all took occasional glances at each other but quickly looked away. Then Jem spoke, "So, I think we got off on the wrong foot- er- hoof, I guess?" They all looked at him. "So I guess I could tell you my name?" He asked. "Well if we're going to be staying here, then,-" Twilight began until Jem's father spoke up. "Woah, woah! Wait a minute, you aren't staying!" He exclaimed. "B-but sir I-" Twilight stuttered. "I'm sorry miss, but I can't just let you move in!" "Dad! You can't just throw them out onto the streets!" Jem yelled. "Jem, stay out of this please!" His Dad replied. "They can have my room! I'll clean it up and I'll stay in the bonus room!" He thought out-loud. "NO! Jem you aren't giving up your room!" "What about their friend?! She needs to stay in a comfortable environment! She got shot in her wing!" "That's- actually a good point." He calmed down. "Fine, they can stay." "Yes!" Jem said quietly. "But only until!" His father said, "Only until their friend is healed. Once she is, they must leave, and fend for themselves." "Okay." Jem said with a hint of disappointment. "Jem, please show them to the bonus room." "Okay, c'mon everyone." Jem said as they followed him upstairs. They went upstairs and entered a room only a little larger than the living room. It had a couch, some boxes, a computer, a television, and a couple of chairs. "Twilight, you can settle Rainbow onto that brown chair over in that corner." In the corner was a large brown chair, with a foot rest. Twilight gently settled her down and made her comfortable. "Um, excuse me sir?" Rarity asked. Jem looked over in her direction. "You never exactly told us your name." "Oh, heh, right!" He chuckled, "My name is Jeremy, but you can just call me Jem. Everyone does." "Well, Jem, I just wanted to thank you for defending us downstairs." "Oh, it's... no big deal really." "And I also wanted to know, how do you know our names?" 'Shoot! I knew I shouldn't have called them by their names!' he thought. "It's really confusing, I'd rather tell you another time." "That's understandable, darling." She replied. "So, where exactly will we sleep in here?" With that Jem pulled off the pillows and cushions of the couch and revealed a small handle. He pulled on it and the couch turned into a bed. It was relatively large, but only enough to fit three of them. "Sorry, it might not be big enough. I have some extra sleeping bags and pillows if that's ok?" They nodded and he came back with a couple of sleeping bags and pillows. Rarity, Fluttershy, and spike took the bed, the others slept in the sleeping bags. "Well, goodnight everyone. I'll see you in the morning." "Goodnight Jem!" Pinkie exclaimed. Jem smiled and closed the door to his room. "What do you guys think of him?" Twilight asked. "He seems very kind." Rarity replied, "I think he's trustworthy enough." "I still don't trust him." Applejack stated, "He seems too kind. Why would a monster bring us in like that?" "Maybe he isn't a monster." Fluttershy whispered. "I think he's fun! I can't wait to have parties with him!" Pinkie yelled quietly. "Pinkie, he isn't coming back with us!" Twilight exclaimed. "He would be solid evidence that we did exactly what the princess told us not to do!" "Twilight, what about you? Do you trust him?" Spike asked. "I do. He seems like he cares about us. And you saw that glow coming from him, right? I think he knows how to use his SOUL." "What's that?" Spike asked. Twilight gave him a blunt look and closed her eyes. She harnessed her magic towards her heart. Her eyes glowed and a purple heart appeared. "This is a SOUL. Mine means perseverance. His was red, which means he has determination. It's the strongest of all SOULs. We all have SOULs. It's what makes up our minds and bodies. It can Also Track LOVE, EXP, and HP." "Wow! This sounds like a very long video game where timelines interact." Pinkie said. Twilight stared at her for a second then carried on. "LOVE means, Level of Violence, EXP, means Execution Points, and HP means, Hit Points. The more you kill, the stronger your SOUL gets." She explained. "It's getting late, we should go to bed. Goodnight every pony." The hunter ran through the forest. He was positive it was going to get him. He ran into a cave hoping he could survive and hide. The beast passed the cave. He slumped down on a patch of golden flowers. Then, one spoke?! "HOWDY!" It said (Found on Pinterest) The Hunter jumped up and ran back into a wall. "Woah! Easy buddy! You can't have a heart attack! You aren't even Ninety-Two yet!" "Who... what are you?" He asked. "I'm Flowey! Flowey the Flower! You lost?" "You could say that." "Well don't worry! I can help ya!" The world flickered as Flowey said that. He found a white outline of a black heart radiating from his chest. "Man! You are full of hatred aren't cha?" "Where am I? What is this place?!" "We call this place limbo! The land in between life n death!" Flowey said happily. "The thing on your chest is your SOUL! Here touch this pellet." A white pellet appeared in front of the hunter. He touched it and... "AAAGH! My finger's gone!" The happy flower was now laughing devilishly and the smile on his face had turned demonic. (From Amino) "YOU IDIOT!" The flower yelled. "WHERE I COME FROM, THE LAW OF THE LAND IS KILL OR BE KILLED!" Dozens of pellets appeared and flew through his SOUL. His HP reached zero and his SOUL gave in. It cracked, and blew up into a dozen pieces. Back in reality, the man lay there, dead, spiky vines wrapping around him. And as the lighting pierced the sky and thunder shook the world, Flowey cackled triumphantly. His LOVE now 9999. Author's Note I apologize for small pictures in some chapters. I do most of my editing on google slides (I don't have deviantArt and I'm on a mac which runs at the speed of a turtle. My pc is broken too.). Again, I apologize. Next time: First person! Chapter Three- Never-ending StormChapter Three: Never-ending Storm The storm roles on. I can't sleep at all. All of the thunder and lighting, I'm pretty sure my house was shaking. I only hoped the girls and Spike weren't frightened. I decided to try and ignore the storm. A large boom of thunder could be heard from outside. Louder then I had ever heard and I swore I heard a very high pitched laugh. There was no way I was going to sleep through this. I grabbed my phone from my nightstand and unplugged the charger. I unlocked it by scanning my finger and decided to play some Smash Hit; a fun game where you throw marbles at glass. It was calming, soothing, and very satisfying, seeing the glass explode into fragments. Another loud boom occurred and this one made me jump. I was so caught up in my game I had almost forgotten about it. I had decided to check on my new friends. At least, I considered them friends. I put on some black pajama pants and a t-shirt and opened my door slowly trying not to wake them. To my surprise, they were. They are wide awake, eyes bloodshot, and I could see them quivering where they sat. All except for Rainbow, who was still in a coma. I saw Fluttershy squeezing Spike as if he were a lifeless teddybear. I would have two giant eyes to clean up after tonight, as they looked as if they were about to pop out of his head. I saw Rarity hyperventilating, Applejack covering her ears with her hooves with her hat over her head, Pinkie hiding under the pull-outcouch, and Twilight sitting normally, her pupils the size if the tips of two pins shaking. She was purely terrified. I slowly walked over and saw Twilight glimpse over at me. I put a calm smile on and walked into the bonus room. "Rough storm huh?" I asked. "D-do all humans make their weather like this?" Twilight asked shakily. I chuckled a bit. "Actually, humans don't control the weather. Like, at all. If we did, then politics would be worse then it is already." I laughed a bit at my joke trying to lighten up the mood. It had no effect. They all stared at me wide-eyed. "What?" I asked as if I were an idiot. "This weather is... Natural?" Applejack asked. "I find that hard to believe." I swear she was getting on my nerves. "Yup, and also, no one controls the sun, or moon!" Their reactions were hilarious to the point I was about to cry. "But, you have a ruler! Don't you?" Twilight asked. "No- well kind of." I said unsure. I thought Twilight would want to write some of this down so I offered her some paper and a pencil, which she gladly accepted. She took it with her magic and began to write down everything I had told her, and her friends. "My country is run under a complete democracy," I continued, "We have a president who is elected every four years. Anyone over the age of 35 can be president, as long as they are citizens, or have no criminal records." "Come to think of it, Equestria is part democracy." Twilight stated. "Really?" "Mhm. We elect officials and mayors, but the Princesses are born, or chosen into the Monarchy." She continued. "So were you chosen?" I asked. "That does it." I heard Applejack mumble under her breath. "What?" I asked. "How do you know about us?!" She yelled at me. "Applejack please calm down!" Flutter shy said as she continued to squeeze Spike. "No! How do you know? I want the truth!" I had enough. "Fine." I said as I tried to keep her quiet. I didn't want my sister to wake up. "It's time for you to know how I knew you all." They all perked up and watched as I picked up the TV remote. They all stared at it in wonder. I had half the mind to hold it up, as He-Man would raise his sword. I kept my composure and clicked the power button. After a few notes of music the TV turned on with static. The storm was obviously messing with the satellite. 'I knew my parents shouldn't have switched to DirectTV.' I thought. "Ok," I said out loud, "Plan B. I said as I switched from HDMI-2 to HDMI-1. I then turned on my Xbox One. The main menu came up and I went over to the YouTube application. The YouTube logo came up. "What is... "You. Tube"?" Rarity asked making quotes with her hooves. "It's basically a-" I stopped. They didn't have the internet back on Equestria. Did they? "Is it from this new Internet thing?" Twilight asked. Apparently the internet was just being introduced on their world. "Yes, it is actually. Although, we've had the internet for a few years now. It allows you to see videos made from all over the world." I explained. I pressed Y on the controller and brought up the search bar. I typed in a specific Youtuber: Letupita725HD★ A banner was shown with all seven of them together in front of Twilight's castle. They all gasped in surprise. "That's... us!" Fluttershy yelled in surprise. "Please don't freak out. I didn't make these. I don't even know how they found you guys." I Went over to the playlist that stated: Season 8. I pulled up the scene where Spike miraculously got wings: They all stared at the television screen. As they saw the events that had happened not even a week ago, being shown on the screen in front of them. I paused it and asked: "Well? What do you all think?" "That... that just happened not even a week ago." Spike said. "Well, this can show more than what just happened recently." I said with a smirk. With that I scrolled down to the Season 1 playlist and clicked the very first scene in the very first episode of the series: I swore that as we watched it, I saw Twilight smiling slightly with tears in her eyes. I knew what she was thinking. This was what started it all. It started with a very anxious pony who learned about true friendship. As the scene closed I pressed 'B' and turned to them. "So... how was- OOF!" I was cut off when Twilight tackled me with a hug. "Thank you. Thank you so much for playing that." She whispered into my ear. I could feel the tears streaming down her face. I couldn't help but hug back. She was soft. Her mane was silky as other FanFic writers stated. But she didn't smell like lavender. She smelled more like Vanilla surprisingly. We broke the hug, the others staring at us in bewilderment. I realized that they didn't understand why Twilight was crying. "That was how Twilight's adventure started. It was what caused her to meet all of you." I explained. They all 'ooooh'ed. The storm was still coming down so I figured I'd stay with them for a little longer. Throughout the hour we watched sad, funny, happy, embarrassing, and amazing memories. I could hear even Applejack chuckle. I even played a few of their songs in which some of them hummed the tune. The time came for me to head back to bed. I explained to them how to control the Xbox and went back to my room. I was happy that most of them were happy here. I started to go to sleep. Until the power went out and I heard a loud shriek. Just my luck that there was a power outage. I walked to my door once again with my phone flashlight on. I walked out the door only to be greeted by a shot to the face with magic. It stung a bit, I won't lie. "Ow! Son of a..." "Oh my goodness! My apologies Jem!" Rarity quickly blurted out. "I-it's fine." I said rubbing my cheek. "Are you guys okay? The power outage really must've spooked you. I heard you screaming from my room!" "We're fine." Applejack said, "We were just a bit spooked is all. Th-thanks for carin' though." Did she just thank me?! "Um, no problem Applejack. Just, try and get some sleep guys okay?" I said as I started walking back to my room. "Goodnight." I said to them. I got back into bed and tried to fall back asleep when my door started creaking. I sat up and looked towards it, just to see black. I grabbed at my phone to see before I heard a soft voice: "Um, Mr. Jeremy?" I heard Fluttershy ask. 'Oh thank god!' I thought in my mind. "What's wrong Fluttershy?" "Um, well, you see, um..." She started whimpering a bit. "Are you afraid of the dark?" I asked. I could see her silhouette nod. Then she asked: "Could I, um, possibly sleep in your bed, with you." she asked. 'BWOOP! BWOOP! RED ALERT! RED ALERT!' my mind screamed at me. "Um, I guess? Just stay on your side of the bed please." I said softly. I heard her approach the bed and hop on. She got tucked in and we tried to go asleep. 'Thank god the lights are out! I'm sweating and blushing like crazy.' I thought. I never was good with girls. I was always so awkward around them for some reason. Well, the girls and Spike are pretty easy to talk to. But when Fluttershy asked to sleep with me in my bed I just completely shut down. Besides her being a girl, I don't even know how old she is. Or the others for that matter. I'm Fifteen but what if she's older. It would probably be worse if she was younger but I seriously doubt that. But right now I need to try to go to- WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! I felt something crossing around my arm and upper part of my torso. I felt it and it felt soft, warm, but sort of flat. I realized it was Fluttershy's foreleg. She had wrapped her foreleg around me. I could swear I felt a puddle on my bed from all of the sweat. "Fluttershy! I hissed at her, "I said to stay on your-" I then heard a slight snore. She was asleep. I couldn't just wake her so I tried to move out of her grasp but her foreleg was too strong surprisingly. I felt her shivering. She must be terrified in this new environment. Doing the only thing I could think of, I laid my hand on her hoof. Then, I began to feel drowsy. Her warmth was actually very comfortable. It was so comfortable that I fell asleep in a blink of an eye. This was when the visions started. In every good (but some very bad) hero movie, the hero has visions about the future. Mine didn't make sense. It flashed to a crown covered in blood, a black SOUL cracking, a Diary, and then everything just swirled into a vortex. I woke up to the sound of thunder. The storm was still going on outside with the same level of intensity. I could still feel Fluttershy's foreleg around my torso. I gently slipped out of her grasp and onto my carpeted floor. I picked Fluttershy up gently and brought her over to the bonus room. I gently placed her onto the pullout couch when I noticed something missing. I saw the brown chair with nothing in it. Rainbow Dash was gone. I walked downstairs to look around for her, when I saw her outside on the front porch Bench swing. I slowly opened the door and she turned to face me. To my surprise, she smiled. It wasn't even a cocky smile that she always pulled on the show. She patted the spot next to her on the bench and I sat down. We sat in silence, watching the rain fall into the Nature Preserve. The silence was only broken when she spoke up. "I wanted to thank you for saving me." She said in a calm manner. She was taking this surprisingly well. "And before you ask how I know, I woke up while you were playing our memories on the screen-thingy." I chuckled. "It's called a Television Rainbow." I explained. She chuckled back. "But, you aren't afraid of me? After what those other humans did to you?" "So I got shot in the wing! Big deal! It should heal up in a few weeks!" She said with the cocky personality I liked about her. We looked at the rain some more. "So..." she started, "No one controls the weather here huh?" "Nope. We can only predict and prepare." I stated. I began to hear her stomach grumble. She chuckled with a blush. I rolled my eyes and brought her inside. The microwave was out and I didn't want to let the cold out of the fridge or freezer so I opened the pantry. I decided to make us Peanut butter sandwiches. After eating, we talked some more. She got very excited when I asked her about the Wonderbolts. In return, I explained that I was being trained in Martial Arts which she found amazing. I knew I had made a mistake when she wanted to spar with me. The storm rolled on. After about two hours the power came back on. I showed her baseball on the TV downstairs. She was definitely an athlete, just as I had expected. I personally wasn't. I knew literally nothing about sports. I heard hoofsteps coming downstairs. It was no other than the Princess of Friendship herself. She spotted Rainbow Dash and flew next to her giving her a hug. "I'm so happy you're alright!" Twilight said. "C'mon Twi!" Rainbow said, "you really thought a tiny bullet would finish me off?" She stated. Twilight and I both rolled our eyes. I then thought I would treat Twilight. "Want a sandwich Twilight?" I asked. "Sure! I'll have daisy and chicken please!" She said proudly. I stopped and I swore I heard a gramophone stop upstairs. The daisies I understood. But chicken?! "You... eat meat?" I asked unsure. Of course! We're omnivores! What, you thought we were herbivores?" She asked. "Kind of. Yeah." I said blankly. "Show me your teeth Twi." She smiled and to my surprise, there they were. Two canines and the rest were molars. Which is surprising because you don't see sharp teeth on them on the show. Well, except for Flutterbat. "Ok, but we don't exactly have daisies. We only have roses and mint." "Then just chicken should be fine, thanks!" She said gleefully. I was relieved as well. Telling them I was an omnivore was going to be easier than I thought. I could only guess that Fluttershy was the only vegetarian of the group. The others came down after awhile. To my surprise, Applejack said good morning to me. I was starting to wonder why she trusted me now. They were all happy that Rainbow was okay after that nasty bullet wound. My Dad woke up early to go to work. He said goodbye and told us to stay out of trouble. My mom went to her job at summer school next. She was more friendly with the others telling them to have a nice day and to stay dry. My sister was next and went to her part-time job at a sandwich restaurant called "Which Wich" she promised to bring home some desserts for us after work. The storm was still happening. I decided to watch a movie with the girls. I asked what they would want and I got a variety of options: Something with action from Rainbow Dash, something with comedy from Pinkie, something with Romance from Rarity, something with Technology from Twilight, something classic from Applejack, something not scary from Fluttershy, and Spike didn't care as long as it was a good movie. I asked them if they were okay with crude, inappropriate humor. They said it would be okay. With that, I began the "South Park Movie: Bigger, Longer, Uncut". Flowey traveled underneath the soil of Earth. It was definitely not as fresh as the otherworld's. He was sick of being burned with so much weed killer. He surfaced and came face-to-face with an army of monsters. "Greetings friends!" He yelled. "I brought you a present!" He said as the black SOUL shards were laid upon the ground. "Now I have a plan! I managed to hollow out the SOUL! I want one of you to take your SOUL, and disguise yourself as that pitiful human. Try not to be seen, whichever one is picked. A monster with a witches hat appeared. (Belongs to Toby Fox) Her name was Madjick. "I will do it, she said in a hoarse voice. The world around her went black as she pulled out her SOUL and wrapped the black one around hers as if it were a sock. When she returned to reality, she stared at her hands and saw messy human-like hands instead of her usual ones. Flowey nodded and slithered off. 'It's only a matter of time. That hate SOUL gave me no EXP!' he thought, 'I need a determined SOUL! Only then can I reach LV 10,000. But where can I find one? Author's Note Sorry for being gone for a bit. I think I have most of this story's plot figured out. Next time, Monsters attack. Please don't down vote without a proper reason. Chapter 4- Danger ApproachesChapter Four: Enter the DANGER Zone As the movie closed, I could still see tears in their eyes. I didn't realize they were into crude humor. Even Fluttershy, FLUTTERSHY above all else, laughed at the movie! I had expected them to scold me for showing them this, but apparently I was wrong. And now, the storm was just getting creepy. It wasn't stopping at all. What sucked was that it was my turn to walk the dog. I pulled out my umbrella, put on my raincoat and turned to the girls and Spike. "I'll be back soon girls." I said to them. I was about to walk out when Applejack came up to me. "I'll go with ya." She stated. "I wanna talk to you." I got instantly nervous. "O-okay." I said. Geez I sound like Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia; always saying something nervously. We both walked outside with the dog. I closed the door behind us and walked across the street to the fence that posed as a barrier to the preserve in which my new friends had appeared. "Listen," Applejack started, "I just... wanted to thank you... and apologize for my behavior." Oh, okay. I thought this was going in a completely other direction. "I was very suspicious of you at first. Don't get me wrong, I still am, but... that's understandable. Ain't it?" I nodded. "But seein how happy you've made us during these past couple o' hours, I think I want to try and be your friend." I smiled "You have every right to be suspicious. I'm happy that you want to give me a chance AJ. I-it's okay if I call you that now. Right?" I asked nervously. She giggled. "You're a nice kid Jem." She said. I looked at the ground and blushed a bit. 'Keep it PG buddy!" An angel said as he appeared on my left shoulder. 'Nah c'mon! Don't listen to him!' The devil said on my right, 'Who cares if they're older than you?! Besides, they might have age differences like dogs have dog years. They could be your age for all we know!' 'Remind me why I need you both as my conscience?' I asked. 'Because you suck.' They both said 'Get outta here!' I yelled mentally. And with a poof, they were gone. The lightning flashed, and the thunder boomed again. Applejack, Jojo, and I almost got hit by a swinging tree branch, but we barely evaded it. AJ and I had talked some more. We apparently had a lot in common. We were hard working, honest, and stubborn ("What?!" NOTHING!). The storm was finally calming down. So we could see where we were going. I saw a large flower in my front yard. I figured i could collect some flowers for the girls for a kind of house warming gift. I pulled the flower by the stem... AND IT SCREAMED?! "AAAAAAAAAGH!" It screamed. Applejack and I both yelled back while my dog barked. "AAAAAAAAAAand scene!" It suddenly said. It proceeded to laugh hysterically. "You should've seen the looks on your faces agh!" He wheezed. "What in the hay are you?!" Applejack yelled. "Howdy! Name's Flowey! Flowey the Flower!" The flower said. Why did that name sound so familiar? And why did it make me feel hatred? (Flowey's POV) It's right there. The SOUL of determination is right there. But that mare, she seems strong. She has the SOUL of Bravery. She could easily kill me. I'll have to play dumb for now. I can't show them who I really am yet. I'll gain their trust, then tear their SOULs apart until nothing is left. I'll finally rule the timelines! I put on a straight face and began talking to them. "Quite a storm huh?" "Uh, yeah... it sure is..." The human said as if he were confused. "I saw how you fought with that hunter last night." I told him, "Maybe I could teach you how to fight properly with your SOUL." "Fight?" He asked. "I-I don't want to fight... who would I fight anyway?" Was he really this dim-witted? He was gifted the power of a SOUL of determination, and he doesn't want to use it to it's full potential? I've seen better outcomes than this. Nevertheless, I can't show my true colors yet. I could give him a warning however... "You didn't hear? Monsters are roaming the Earth nowadays." I told him. "D-did you s-say... m-m-m-monsters?" The Applejack asked. Yeah I know her name. I have met her before. But she doesn't know it. "That's right! So you better be prepared Jem!" I said. "Well thanks for... the... wait... how did you-" Realizing my mistake I decided to take off. "Well good luck bye!" I said as I quickly descended into the soil. That was too close. I hope I didn't make a mistake in telling him about the attack. Calvin Streak, the newest member of the State Rangers, was on duty walking around the city. All the hustle and bustle was what he was used too. He had made the occasional reports. There was always miniature problems, like overdue parking meters (The city didn't have anyone to place tickets so he was put on the job.), the occasional J-walker, and just boring problems that people don't care about. All in all, he wasn't the biggest fan of his job so far. The only exciting part of his job, was tracking down the hunter. The leader of The Hunters was named Silas J. Turner. He was charged with physical assault at age eighteen. He was released from prison a few months later and committed his second crime which was attempted murder. He had lost a game and had begun shooting a Poker Dealer in a local Casino when the authorities showed up and prevented him from doing any more damage. The Dealer lived but is now severely disabled. He was released about 10 years later, due to one of his buddies being an amazing lawyer, and laid low. Twenty years later (The present), he is wanted for attempted murder of a child at the age of fifteen. That was last night. And Calvin saved the kid and the ponies behind him. He watched the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic when it first started airing. He was among the first bronies at age eleven. Back onto the subject on Silas, he had a very distinct appearance. He was on the chubby side, had a dark scruffy beard and short curly hair. He almost looked like the younger version of Harvey Fierstein. He also had a necklace of a black heart that was misshapen to make it look like it was melting. It was probably a gift from his mother if Calvin had to guess. He was surprised to even be put onto the case. Considering he was still in training, many believed he wasn't up to it. But then they brought his mother up. Calvin's mother was the best Ranger on the force when she still worked for them. Calvin barely saw or talked to her anymore. She had moved to California to work for the LAPD, a real police force. And where was Calvin? In the GARD. The Georgia Ranger Department in Atlanta. The only perk he got was free admission to the Aquarium and World of Coke, which wasn't that bad if you thought about it, but he rarely had time to go anywhere. He was on his way now to an alleyway behind the Museum of High Arts as a murder had just occurred. It was reported to be a stab wound and there was a message that everyone in possibly the world needed to see. As Calvin arrived, he saw the local news, the police department, and the rest of the rangers. "Thanks Dave," The news reporter said, "I'm standing here in front of the crime scene, the body has been taken on a gurney and the message written to humanity is right behind me. As you can see... Every other noise was blocked out. Strewn across the wall of the alley was a message written in fresh blood. It stated: "OUr TiME hAs COme. MOnsTErs wIll rulE aGAin. YouR SOULS WiLl bE OuRs." Next to it was a signature: Madg-S.J.T. It was Silas's initials. He wasn't just a criminal, he was mentally insane! Calvin ran back to his car and drove away. As he drove, he kept seeing the message in his mind. As he approached the station he thought back to what had happened that night in the clearing. ' That kid seemed to know what he was doing... I guess...' Calvin thought. He walked out of his car and walked inside. He said hello to a few other rangers and stepped into the break room, which was empty. He pulled out his phone and looked up the Message behind the Museum of High Art. Social media had already blown up about it. Apparently the one killed and had blood smeared across the wall was a kid named Gabriel Brown. He had attended the Georgia Middle School and was with his parents when he stopped to use the restroom and was kidnapped and murdered. 'Poor kid' Calvin thought. He turned off his phone and found a new file in the cabinet. He looked at the name and it said Case:Gabe, 'No. It's changing?' Calvin thought. It kept changing until the letters bent and broke into a new word. "What's a "Hypergod"?" Calvin thought as he opened the file. As he did so, 10 green vines shot out in synch and cut his skin. He screamed in agony and ran out of the room. He swiftly shut the door and ran to his car. He drove home and didn't stop until he got there. Meanwhile (Jem's POV) The strange encounter with Flowey had been eventful. He was weird, but he seemed nice enough, despite the prank he pulled on AJ and I. I returned him to the ground and walked my dog and AJ back to the house. "That was um..." "Strange?" AJ finished. "Pretty much." I said as I opened the door. The others were busy watching reruns of Adventure Time (May it Rest in Peace). AJ and I were about to join when a special news report appeared. "Do'h! COME. ON!" Rainbow yelled. I was more confused than annoyed. Never had a special news report came up on Cartoon Network. "We interrupt this program to bring you some terrible ne-" Then a commercial came on. "Hi do you- @#$%^%#@!@#$%^&*(":><>(Static) like human SOULS? Do you want to appease our hypergod? Then follow these instructions (Static) KILL OR BE KILLED@#$%$#@!@#$%^&*(()_{:>." "Um, w-what was th-that?" Fluttershy asked as she hugged me very tightly. She saw what she was doing, blushed, and released me from her grasp allowing air to fill my lungs. The program suddenly continued. "We apologize for any technical difficulties as we were picking up an odd signal. We have some breaking news. Three people in the past hour have been found all over Atlanta. There was an adult male, adult female, and young male. We now report live to Eric Spielman who is at the scene. Eric?" "Thanks Tom I am currently standing at the latest crime sight behind the World of Coke attraction. The Male has appeared to have been drowned in the Coke Fountain. We believe it was not suicide but a murder. We have found bloody handprints on the scruff of the man's shirt and have traced it to Silas J. Turner. Everyone at the World of Coke attraction stated it had happened at around 2 PM. Turner had escaped from a fire exit and hailed a cab. More information on the matter later. Back to you Tom." "Thank you Eric." Tom started. "The ones killed are named as followed. Jared Dickson, Alley Brodick, and Gabriel Brown. To each of their families, we apologize for your loss and wish to have a small moment of silence for the three deceased." "That's just awful!" Rarity gasped, "Who would ever do such a terrible thing?! Killing their own species?!" "I agree." AJ added, "That's just not right. Why would anypony want to do that to another?" "That's just mean!" Pinkie added, "Right Jem?! Jem?" They all looked over at Jem and saw tears streaming down his cheeks. His hand was over his mouth. He was in shock. "Jem, are you okay?" Twilight asked. Spike waved his claw in front of his face. "Helloooo? Jem? You okay buddy?" He asked. Without a word, Jem jumped up and ran upstairs. They all yelled for him, but Jem didn't care. He ran into his room and locked his door. He buried his head into his pillow and sobbed. He wasn't upset that three people were murdered. He was upset because his best friend was one of them. (3rd person) The girls and Spike were getting worried. Jem was upstairs for about four hours. His family had gotten home in the allotted time. His parents went up to talk to him. All the way from downstairs, they heard him scream,"GO AWAY!". They had insisted on him letting them in but he just kept yelling at them to go away. Then the girls and Spike decided to go upstairs and try to talk to him. As Mike and Alex walked downstairs to prepare dinner, the girls and spike walked up to Jem's door. Twilight used a spell to make the door ripple and appear to be jelly-like. They all walked through and saw Jem staring blankly at the ceiling. He appeared exhausted and had clearly been crying. "Jem?" Fluttershy asked, "Are you okay?" "I should have known something was wrong when he didn't come over." he said quietly, his voice quivering. "Who didn't come over?" Twilight asked. "Gabe. My... my..." Jem started sobbing again. They all surrounded him and hugged him as tightly as they could. "my... best... friend..." Madjick had collected three SOULs already. She only needed a couple of more to match the strength of a Determined SOUL. It was only a matter of time. Again. Ugh.Author's Note Longest chapter so far! And this is officially the longest story I've written so far! (I'm so sad! :'D) Tis chapter just came to me. I felt like I was focusing a bit too much on the Undertale side, and less on the MLP/Jem side of the story. Well, here ya go! Chapter Five: School. Again. Ugh. A Freshman's Guide to Ponies Entry one: August 29th 2018 The rest of the summer went by fairly quickly. Over that time, I went to Gabe's funeral. I was in a state of depression for about a week. I was lucky to have my new friends with me. Speaking of! The girls, Spike and I got to know each other better. They each told me about what they did back on their world (despite the fact I already knew, although I did get more details.) along with their daily routines now that their school was open... June 28th (2 weeks after the funeral.) "So how does this thing work again?" Rainbow asked. "It's pretty easy if you have fingers, but with hooves, it might be a bit harder." I said as I started to explain, "The B button on the right side of the controller lets you jump, the Y button lets you switch weapons, the trigger lets you shoot, the left joy con is to move the character, and the right is to move the camera. Those are the ones that you basically need to know in order to play Star Wars Battlefront." I was teaching Rainbow Dash how to play Star Wars Battlefront and I'm just gonna say, she's a natural! She beat me in three straight rounds. "You know what... let's play a classic!" "Awww! But I want to keep playing this game!" She whined. "I promise you'll like this one!" I replied as I switched over to my Wii U. I inserted Smash Bros. Brawl into the disk port and booted up the game. I gave Rainbow a Wii remote with nunchucks. I again explained how to use the controls and went to story mode. I hadn't played the game much so I was still on the cloud level with Mario and Pit. "I call the guy with wings!" She instantaneously yelled. I think she was starting to like these games. When the level started, we appeared in the clouds. "Woah! We get to fight in the clouds?! AWESOME! And your character doesn't even have wings?! How does that work?!" Yep. She's becoming addicted. "Hey, that reminds me..." I asked as she looked over, "What was your job like as a Wonderbolt anyway?" I heard the trademark squeak and she started talking about her job. "Being a Wonderbolt is probably the best job anypony could ever ask for! You get to do stunts all day, help protect Equestria... all in all, it was the job for me!" She said, "Before I was a Wonderbolt, I was captain of the weather patrol. It wasn't the job I dreamed of, but it did let me get out of work early. I could've napped all day if I had wanted!" I rolled my eyes at this, remembering all the times I saw her in the show napping either in a tree, or on a cloud. "Why did you roll your eyes?" Aaaand she saw that... "No reason. In your show, almost every scene I saw you in, included you sleeping." I said snickering. It was her turn to roll her eyes. After that chat, we went back to playing the game. I decided to go downstairs to have a snack, only to find Pinkie cooking with my mother. "Hey Jemmy!" Pinkie sang as I walked into the kitchen. "It sounded like you and Dashie were having fun upstairs!" "Yeah we were! She's a natural at video games! Anyway, what are you two making?" "Lasagna!" My Mom explained taking a tiny black cracker out of the oven. Pinkie and I both eyed it wondering if this was a joke. It wasn't. Her lasagna had somehow burnt to a crisp and shriveled into a cracker. Pinkie and I were about to start laughing before we remembered our manners. "Ahem! It, uh, it looks delicious Mom!" I said trying to be supportive. "Then you have to try some!" Next thing I knew, I was sat at the table with a tiny lasagna on my plate. I picked it up with my fork, and shoved it into my mouth. All I could taste was smokey charcoal. I couldn't spit it out, they were both watching me eat it! I continued chewing and chewing, until I forced it down my throat. I gave a sheepish chuckle. "Good... heheh." "I'm glad you liked it!" my Mom said walking away. "Wow! That was a lot of effort to make your mom happy!" Pinkie said with a smile, until she noticed I was turning green. "Uhm, are you okay Jemmy?" A bit of vomit came up, but I instantly swallowed it. "F-f-ine." I said weakly. Pinkie giggled and gave me a slice of cake from her saddle bag, which I gladly accepted and scarfed down. It was by far the best cake I had ever tasted! "Pinkie! This is great!" I exclaimed. "Compliments from Sugar Cube Corner!" She exclaimed. "Every day I would bake this special cake! Ya know why?" "Why?" I asked. She gestured me to come closer. I got closer. She gestured again and kept doing it until I was close up to her muzzle. Very close. I turned my head and she whispered, "It's my favorite flavor" "Why is that a secret?" I whispered back. "Because silly!" She whispered again, "My friends don't know that! I've been keeping it secret since I met them!" "Oooooooh!" I exclaimed. "Now I need you to Pinkie promise you will keep this a secret! Kapoosh?" She asked. "Uh Pinkie it's-" I started before she yelled... "PINKIE PROMISE!" "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye! Geez!" I said quickly. "Good!" She said happily, "Now don't tell anyone!" she sang while trotting back to the stove. "What just happened?" I asked myself. I decided to go outside and find out if the others were out there. I found Applejack, Rarity, and Fluttershy out there. Applejack was moving some dirt around, Fluttershy was playing with my dog, and Rarity was looking at the roses. My backyard was small to be honest. It had a tiny patio with a grill, umbrella, and a couch with a shade over it. It was surrounded by grassy areas and had a tall white fence as borders, which was perfect because then no one would see them. I decided to talk to Rarity first. As I walked up to her, I noticed she was sad. She was staring at the nicest rose in the garden, and I think I understood why. "Hey Rarity, what're you up to?" I asked. She quickly wiped away her tears and turned towards me with the most fake smile I had ever seen. "Oh! Jem! Hi! Lovely weather today isn't it?!" She exclaimed. "Okay, what's wrong?" I asked. "What?" she said as if she were clueless to what I was asking. "You're thinking about Blueblood aren't you?" She sighed. "Is it that obvious?" She asked. "Sort of... yeah." I replied. "Oh. Well, if you must know, yes I was thinking of him." She said. "It's only been a year since the Grand Galloping Gala and I still can't get my mind off of him for some unknown reason." Wait did she say a year? "A year?" I asked. "Why yes. The Grand Galloping Gala is a Semiannual event after all. you should've seen the dresses I made for everypony! At my boutique, nothing is drab, and nothing is less than perfect!" The show took place over a SINGLE YEAR?! And I thought the Grand Galloping Gala was an annual event, not semiannual! "Rarity, how long has it been since you and the others met?" I asked. "Well let's see now." She said as she began to think. "It's been twenty-four moons since then, soooo, two years I believe. Why?" That confirmed it. Time in Equestria moves four times as slow as Earth does. I decided to bring up the subject about Blueblood again. "Urm, no reason. Anyway, about Blueblood?" I said. "Ah yes, I'm afraid that i still have feelings for him, but... I'm not quite sure." She said. "Why would you after everything he did?" I asked. "Well, he is charming, and who knows? Maybe I met him on an off night?" I was starting to feel sick. She actually had feelings for Blueblood after that disaster? But... I shouldn't judge. But on the other hand, I feel like she needs to understand that Blueblood won't change. No matter how much she tries. "Rarity, forgive me for saying so, but I think it's a bad idea for you to like him..." I said nervously. "And why is that?" She asked giving me a stern look. I gulped. 'Crud! What have I done?!" I mentally panicked. I took a deep breath and continued. "Think about it... why would he be having an off night at one of the biggest parties of the year?" Her gaze softened. "Love... isn't meant to be one sided. To truly love someone, you need to have a mutual bond, and just be sure to know if you are making the right decision being with them." Her eyes sparkled. I hadn't noticed though, "Your special somepony is out there somewhere. You just need to find them." By now I noticed how she was looking at me. "Um, Rarity?" I waved my hand in front of her face and gave a few snaps. That was what brought her back to reality. "Oh! My apologies darling! It's just, I've never heard anypony explain love like that. It was very... awe-inspiring." She said with the sparkle still in her eyes. "Uh... thanks? I'm uh, gonna talk to Fluttershy now..." I said walking away. "Alright dear! Ta-ta!" She said cheerfully walking back inside. I walked over to Fluttershy who was talking to my dog. This I was excited to see this. "Hey Fluttershy!" I said. "Oh... um... h-hi Jem." She said shakily. We still remember the night we slept together. It was a very awkward moment and I was glad that Rainbow hadn't found out about it. Otherwise, I wouldn't have heard the end of it. "Are you okay?" I asked. "Um, y-yes I'm fine. H-how are you? If... you don't mind me asking that is..." She trailed off. "Oh I'm fine! Thanks for asking!" Jojo had started barking at me for some unknown reason. "What's she saying?" I asked. "Um hold on one second." She began to listen and her eyes widened in horror. "Well? What did she say?" I asked. "Weeeeell..." she said while twiddling her hooves. Fluttershy's POV "TELL THAT MOTHER(GORILLA)ER TO GIVE ME MY (GORILLA)ING TREATS! AAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Jojo yelled Jem's POV "Ummmm... It's best if you don't know. My animals back in Equestrian never talked like- OH NO!" She screamed. "What's wrong?" I asked. "MY ANIMALS! I WON'T BE ABLE TO FEED THEM!" she screamed. "Oh they must be so scared! What if one of them got lost?! Or got trapped inside a cupboard in my house?! or what if-" I covered her mouth with my hand. "Calm down okay?" I said in a kind manner. "Are you done freaking out?" She nodded and I released my hand. "I understand that you're anxious, but they'll be alright." "I know... but-" I interrupted her. "The animals can handle themselves Fluttershy. They were born in the wild so I'm sure they have survival instincts. Besides, Angel can take care of them!" I exclaimed. "I-"She stopped to think, "You're right. I just need to have faith!" I smiled and put my arm over her shoulders. "That's the spirit." I said smiling. 'Ahem!' I looked over and saw the devil on my shoulder. He was making kissy faces so used my free hand to swat him away. "Jem!" I heard Applejack holler, "Could you come over here for a quick sec' sugarcube?" I got up and walked over to Applejack. "What's up AJ?" I asked. "i've been thinkin about what Flowey said... ya know... about the monsters and such?" She said. "Yeah? Go on?" I added. She looked from left to right and pointed to my garbage can. There were claw marks all over it. I had completely forgotten about that strange beast that had appeared a few nights ago. It hadn't showed up since then and I was beginning to think that it was my imagination. But there are talking pastel ponies in my backyard, so here we are. "Do ya know what made those claw marks?" She asked. "There was... some sort of creature that came out of my trash can. It was how the red-heart thing appeared..." "That was a monster Jem!" She exclaimed. "I know, I know!" I hissed at her, "Quiet down okay? The others don't know yet." "Oh alright." She said as she went back to patting a fresh patch of soil. "So what are you doing?" I asked. "Givin you somethin to remember us by." Why hadn't I thought of it before?! She was planting an apple tree! "An apple tree huh?" I asked. "Yup." She said, "It'll also remind me of home when it starts growin. But, I gotta admit... it's nice not needin to get up early every morning." We both had a good laugh about that. Everypony eventually went back inside so I went in as well. I decided to try and find Twilight and Spike, who I hadn't seen all day. I eventually found them in the office with my Dad. They were reading books on world history, and my Dad had gladly accepted to teach them. I decided it was best not to disturb so I went back to playing games with Rainbow. Everypony eventually joined and we watched a movie. Now they'll be saying quotes from Jim Carrey's "The Mask" for the rest of their lives. A Freshman's Guide to Ponies Entry one: August 29th 2018 (continued) The next couple of weeks were nothing but calm. There wasn't a single attack, murder, or political argument (surprisingly). Tomorrow is school, so I better get some sleep. Until then, this is Jeremy Kaplan signing off. I put the notebook on my nightstand and went to bed. Only to wake up at 5:40. 'Right.' I thought, 'High school hours'. I got dressed and turned on the hallway light... which then shined right onto Twilight's face. "Huh? Whuh?" She said meekly. "Sorry Twi" I whispered. "Jem? Why are you up so early?" She said quietly. "I have my first day of high school today." I said a little louder. "You can go back to bed if you'd like?" "No it's okay, I'm fully awake now anyway." She said getting out of her sleeping bag. We both went downstairs to eat breakfast and watch a bit of television before I went out. I offered Twilight some coffee to which she gladly accepted. "So you girls are going to be alone a bit today. I'll be back at around 2:35 so you girls should be fine until then, correct?" I caught Twilight looking a bit sheepish. Something was up. "Actually, I was wondering if I could come with you?" she asked. Knew it. I was about to say no until... I could just transform myself into a human?" "Well Twilight... the school system here is very strict nowadays so..." Oh crap now she's giving me puppy eyes. Damn it. It's getting really, really hard to breathe. "FINE! Just please stop doing that!" "Great! I'll be right back!" She walked into the bathroom and I saw a brief flash. When she came back... she was about the cutest girl I had ever laid eyes upon. She had tan skin, her hair was the same, her ears had turned into a set of headphones, her horn also being a part of the set, and her wings had transformed into a backpack. She looked... exactly like a human. "Um.. like what you see?" she asked raising an eyebrow. I quickly blushed and grabbed my backpack and its contents, which she instantly cloned. I said goodbye to my Mom and Dad and walked out to the bus stop with Twilight. It was humid and the stars were still out. So was the moon but I mean, it was 6:30. As we walked to the bus I had my cover story figured out. Twilight was a friend who was visiting from another country and she wanted to see the school systems here. Hopefully that would work. Hopefully. Her cover name would be Twyla Sparks, which was a name I had picked up from multiple fanfictions. The bus came a few minutes after we had arrived and we were shipped off to school. We finally arrived at 6:45 and kids were allowed into their classes. I brought Twilight to my homeroom with my teacher, Ms. Loth. She asked me who she was and I told her the cover story. Lucky for us, she contacted every teacher on my schedule and notified them of the small change in attendance. Twilight -er- Twyla skipped over to a desk next to me. I had hoped that Gabe would've sat in that seat, but I guess Twilight was better than nothing. More kids came in by 7:00. Some were kids I recognized and waved to. I introduced them to Twyla and some of them teased us, but Twi and I knew that we weren't a couple so we ignored them. Or at least I did. Twilight couldn't stop blushing. "Hey... calm down okay? They're just teasing, it means nothing. Right?" "But what if it does? I wouldn't want that to ruin our friendship, and besides, I have a coltfriend." Twilight added. "Flash?" I asked. "Yeah... he's nice and kind but... he's never around anymore. But I still love him and he still loves me!" She said happily. I smiled back, glad knowing that there was somepony who cared about her. Then there was yelling coming from the other side of Twilight. "Out of this seat now punk." A tall brute said to a scrawny kid in glasses. "W-why should I?" The kid asked. I think his name was Fritz. He was the smartest kid in my school. He was actually a nice guy, despite all of the bullying he went through. "Because I want to sit next to little miss pretty pants right here." He said while eyeing Twilight. I heard about this guy. If there were a stereotype bully in any story or movie, this guy would be him. His name was Jeffery Halberd. Otherwise known as, 'Jeff the Killer'. Chapter Six - Inner DemonsSomething has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.Chapter Seven - Out of Control SOULChapter Seven: Out of Control SOUL He could only remember bits and pieces. Finding her, his family taking her in, evading the angry villagers while trying to bring her to peace. He had taken every single blow the ponies and humans had to offer, and it was only when he had returned home that he had cracked and turned to dust. Then... he had awoken, devoid of any emotion. All he felt was hatred... and a ever-burning urge to kill. His father had found him, only to leave when his back was turned. He was alone. Until she came back. When the last human and monsters tried to stop them, needless to say, the maid would need a bigger feather duster. This had happened years ago and then, the new monsters had arrived. They were ruthless, and terrifying. Perfect for the duo in some ways. The newly appointed king had been corrupted by her when he had least expected it and easily destroyed the King of the Ponies with her power. But she needed a proper vessel. A SOUL with a purpose. With strength. With DETERMINATION. Rarity sat at the coffee table in the living room examining the rose that she had picked out from the backyard. It was striped with orange, pink, and red. Almost as beautiful as the ones in the Royal Canterlot Garden, if it weren't for the tiny gray spots where the flower was withering. It was fascinating. A mix of beauty and despair; a point-of-view of life itself. Thriving on nothing but sunlight, water, and oxygen. It was enough to give her a headache. It was either that or the noise coming from upstairs. Applejack and Rainbow Dash were fussing over who won at a video game. Fluttershy was cuddling with Jem's dog, Pinkie Pie was watching a rather silly show of aquatic sea creatures with what appeared to be an optimistic, yet rather dim witted, sponge as the main character, and Spike was... looking at the rose alongside Rarity. "Wow... I've never seen a rose like that back home." Spike said in a trance. "It is lovely isn't it." Rarity replied. "I was thinking I could use it as a new color scheme for my dresses once we return home." "Rarity..." Spike said a bit sadly. Rarity looked over at him, concerned. "Is something the matter Spike?" She asked. "Well... what'll happen if we never go home?" He asked shakily. "Spike!" Rarity gasped, "Don't even think about that!" "But... there is a p-possibility..." Spike was on the verge of tears. Pinkie and Fluttershy took notice and looked over at their direction concerned. "Spike... of course we're going home soon." Rarity said passionately, "We've only been here for-" "One. Month." Spike said getting frustrated, "We've been here one month, and we're no closer to getting home than when we had arrived." His tears were now clearly visible. "Without spell books... we're lost. We're trapped here." "Now now Spike! It isn't all bad here!" she said trying to lighten the mood. "Not bad? NOT BAD?!" Spike yelled. The yelling had stopped upstairs. The faint noise of hoof-steps were closing in and AJ and Rainbow were at the midsection of the stairs. Rarity had shrunken back, her ears laid backwards. "What about Rainbow?! Her wing was shot with a mullet!" "Bullet-" Applejack corrected. "Not now Applejack!" Spike yelled. AJ shrunk back at the tone he was using. "We have absolutely no spell books! Jem's Dad hates us! and we're not even allowed outside! The only good thing to come out of this was-" "Jem." All of the girls said. "Uhm... I was gonna say we're all together." He said curiously. The girls blushed and instantly agreed with him. This didn't shrug off his confusion. "Why did you all-" He was interrupted with the phone ringing. Rarity went over to the home-phone and looked at who was calling. Over the summer, Jem had taught them how to properly read and speak human. The translation spell was using too much energy for Twilight to keep it up, so he figured that teaching them the basics was a good start. (Flashback to Summer. One week after the funeral.) Jem had woken up feeling groggy. He always felt like that whenever a storm had occurred the night before. He got out of bed, put on some clothes, and exited his room. He looked into the bonus room and saw Twilight had already awoken and was nowhere to be seen. One part that sort of startled Jem was the obnoxious snoring coming from the group. It sounded like normal horses that you would find at a barn. Jem shrugged it off and walked downstairs only to find Twilight on the ground, her horn flickering. "Twilight!" Jem shouted running over. Twilight shut off her horn completely and came out of her glazed trance. She stood up and talked to Jem. All that came out were neighs, nickers, and other animal-like sounds. "I-I don't understand you Twilight." Twilight tilted her head. She tried to speak again. Jem knew she was only saying the same thing. The others must've heard and came downstairs. Jem couldn't tell what they were saying. He pointed to his ear and shrugged, gesturing that he couldn't understand. Rainbow must've misinterpreted what he was getting at and instead grabbed his head and neighed very loudly into his ear. Besides the ringing in his ears, he heard his family shouting, wondering what was going on. "The spell must've worn off." Spike said. Jem turned around bewildered. "Spike, you can speak english?" Jem asked. "Not exactly..." He began, "Twilight's modification spells tend to last longer on me than other ponies. Wait one second..." Spike then began neighing and making other noises. "You didn't understand me?" Jem just shook his head. "I told them you can't understand ponish anymore. The spell was giving Twilight too much strain." "How long has she kept it up?" Jem asked. Spike turned towards Twilight and spoke ponish. Twilight replied back with a short answer. Spike turned back towards Jem. "Ever since they met that hunter... and you." "Why didn't she turn it off while she was sleeping?" "I can answer that one." He said, "Starting up a translation spell can take up more energy than keeping one alive. An overnight sleep isn't nearly enough time to recharge her magic so she needed to keep the spell going." "Okay then... I'll teach them how to speak english." Jem said determined. "Honey... that might not be the best idea." Jem's Mom intervened, "I'm a teacher, so teaching should be easy for me." "Or me." Jem's Dad added. Jem's sister just shrugged at the situation. "Actually..." Spike began, "I think Jem should be the one to teach them. They all seem a lot more comfortable around him than with you guys, no offense." Jem's parents looked at one another and nodded. "Go for it." Jem's Dad said walking away. "Tell us if you need help." His Mom said before joining his father. Jem gestured to the girls to move upstairs. They did as they were told and went into the bonus room. They had spent the entire week learning english and they pretty much had it under control which was pretty surprising. To test them, Jem had each of them read a paragraph from a book. "About once a week... Uncle Vernon looked over the top of his newspaper and shouted that Harry needed a haircut... Harry must have had more haircuts than the rest of the boys in his class put together... but it made no difference, his hair simply grew that way -- all over the place." Rarity had read without the spell. "Well done Rarity!" Jem exclaimed. Rarity proceed to read the book to herself, clearly enjoying it. "Rainbow?" "The boy with f-fair hair lowered himself down the last few feet of r-rock and began to pick his way toward the l-lagoon. Though he had taken off his school... sweater and trailed it now from one hand... his grey shirt stuck to him and his hair was plastered to his forehead." "Great job!" He proceeded to Pinkie: "We made our best speed across the strip of wood that now divided us from the sto-sto..." "Stockade." Jem finished. "And at every step we took... the voices of the buccaneers rang nearer. Soon we could hear their footfalls as they ran... and the cracking of the branches as they breasted across a bit of thicket." Then onto Applejack: "The Second Civil War... also known as "The Heartland War,"... was a long and bloody conflict fought over a single i-issue. To end the war... a set of constitutional am-amendaments... known as "The Bill of Life" was passed. It satisfied both the Pro-life and the Pro-choice armies... The Bill of Life states that human life may not be touched from the moment of conception until a child reaches the age of thirteen... However, between the ages of thirteen and eighteen... a parent may choose to retroactively "abort" a child . . . ... on the condition that the child's life doesn't "technically" end. The process by which a child is both terminated and yet kept alive is called "unwinding." "Very good. Except the word you missed is pronounced, a-MEND-ments." Applejack nodded sheepishly and continued reading. Up next was Fluttershy: "The phrase ‘m-man’s best f-friend’ has been in e-existence for a long t-t-time, and for g-good reason too. Every dog has a p-purpose. Every d-dog has a meaning in this world, just as every human b-being does... And who doesn’t love m-man’s best friend?" Then came Twilight and Spike: "Call me Ishmael. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world. It is a way I have of driving off the spleen and regulating the circulation." Jem clapped for all of them. They had officially learned english. "Excellent job! All of you!" Jem said proudly. "Hey uh Jem?" Rainbow asked. "Yeah?" "Could you read us this book?" Rainbow asked as she held up her copy of 'Lord of the Flies'. "Um... sure." Jem said as he took the book and began reading chapter one. "Ralph saw it first, and watched till the intentness of his gaze drew all eyes that way. Then the creature stepped from mirage on to clear sand, and they saw that the darkness was not all shadow but mostly clothing. The creature was a party of boys, marching approximately in step in two parallel lines and dressed in strangely eccentric clothing. Shorts, shirts, and different garments they carried in their hands; but each boy wore a square black cap with a silver badge on it..." For the rest of the afternoon, the girls and Spike had listened to Jem read the story, laughing at the silly voices he gave the characters, crying at the deaths, and finally smiling at the end. From that day forward, Twilight wouldn't use the translation spell. (Present) The phone number was for a hospital in the area. Rarity was about to pick it up when- "Jem told us not to pick up phones Rarity." Rainbow Dash said sternly. "It's the hospital darling." She said worryingly and she picked up the phone putting it on speaker. "Hello?" Is this the Kaplan Residence? a female's voice came in over the speaker. "Why indeed it is dear. What appears to be the trouble?" "One of your family members named Jeremy has been hospitalized. He has a friend named Twyla Sparks and Jeffrey with him. Do you have any relation to them?" Rarity almost dropped the phone in shock. "Hello?" "Y-yes... I know them. Why?" "Beca-eegdtrfgfdhrye" "Hello? HELLO?!" Rarity yelled into the phone. A long beep sounded on the phone meaning the telephone wire was cut. There was pounding and other sounds coming from the roof. "Th-they're here..." Applejack said quietly. "They?" Spike asked. "They who?" (Jem's POV) I woke up in a blink. My arms were in pain, as was my head, chest, and basically every part of my body. Next to me was Twyla, eagerly waiting for me to wake up. "JEM!" She tightly hugged me and I yelped in pain. "Twyla stop!" My Dad yelled. "He's in a lot of pain right now!" "R-right." She said blushing, "S-sorry Jem." It actually didn't feel bad in my opinion. Sure my limbs did hurt but it was comforting to be hugged by her. "Nono it's... it's okay actually." I said quickly. The doctor came in to give the diagnosis. "Ah you're already here. Good." "What's wrong with my little brother doctor?" My sister asked. "Well we ran tests and we found something very peculiar." The doctor continued, "It appears to be a heart, emitting a light brighter than any other that I've ever seen. It's in the same area where his scars appeared. When we attempted to remove it from his chest cavity, it opposed any strain put onto it, as if it was fighting to stay in. A very determined heart I must say. However, besides the scars, it doesn't appear harmful at all. If anything, it's keeping your son very healthy. He should be discharged tomorrow, now please. Let him rest." They all walked out of the room, until I called Twilight back. "Twili-Twyla, could you stay here for for a few minutes?" I asked. She did as she was told and came back. As soon as they were outside of the door. I began questioning her. "You're not telling me something. What happened back on your world? Something bad must've happened." She sighed. "I had hoped for you to learn about this differently." She was going to tell me the entire truth. "A long time ago, before Nightmare Moon was banished, Monsters, Ponies, and Humans lived in peace together..." (Flashback) When Equestria was discovered, more than one species wanted to live there. The humans, being the civilized group they were, signed a peace treaty with King Capricornus and Queen Supernova, stating that they would live together in harmony for generations to come. When the monsters arrived, they threatened to take the land by force, until the King, Queen, and Leader of the humans, Arthur Callow, made peace with the original King of the monsters, Asgore, and his kind-hearted wife, Toriel. The monsters had changed their ways and became peaceful, learning to cope with the other species. Eventually, crossbreeds sprouted and were seen as miracles at first. There were Centaurs, Satyrs, Thestrals, and soon enough, skeletons. But then, it all toppled over. "Thank you so much for coming James! It's an honor to meet Arthur's grandson!" Capricornus said delighted. "The pleasure is all mine kind sir!" The young human said to the king, "And what a lovely wife you have!" Supernova was cream color, with a wavy scarlet mane. "Your kindness is truly something to be valued James." Nova said bowing her head slightly. "Will King Asgore and Queen Toriel be joining us tonight?" James asked. "I haven't heard from the old man in awhile. That was why I asked you to send your human over to their village. Any word?" "Not yet sir." All of a sudden, the doors to the dining room burst open, revealing a very big muscular monster. The monster was covered in scars, had a missing eye, and the one that was still in its socket was glass. They couldn't tell if the monster was blind or not. "I am Deltarune. The new king of the monsters. May I sit down?" They couldn't even answer as the large beast went over to Asgore's chair and sat down. "I apologize in advance for my unnerving look. War has not treated me well." "What war?" James asked. The monster glared at him menacingly and James backed down. "Could you please explain to us where King Asgore is?" Supernova asked, "We haven't seen or heard from him in quite some time. And I understand you are not Asriel Dreemur?" The monster nodded. "Sadly, the royal family was obliterated. Somehow, the enemy had gotten past even the kingdom's greatest defenses." "How can that be?" Capricornus asked. "With General Undyne leading the militia, nothing could've ever gotten through the gates to the castle. No less the entrance to the village." "Unless it was an inside job your majesty." James added. "Are you insinuating that I had something to do with the royal family's death?" Deltarune asked. "No! Not at all!" James exclaimed. "Good. Now shut up and eat puny mortal." Deltarune said bluntly and dug into his steak. "A little while later, James was found dead in his own home, the family sword shoved through his chest. He had carved a smile into his body like the one on your chest. The humans decided to make their species a democracy so if one leader died, it would be easier to have another in their place. The monsters soon after began to abuse power. The new king Deltarune declared that all crossbreeds would be destroyed. He saw that species should remain with their own species, so the beastiality law was put into service. Many families were forced to separate, and many children were killed that very year. Then, Deltarune had asked Capricornus the most unspeakable offer, they labeled it, the Monster-Terra pact." "You expect us to hand over all of the land for monsters to thrive?" Capricornus asked. "I know it sounds like much-" Deltarune started. "Much is an understatement Delta!" the king yelled, "You're asking us to hand over the land that has been in our possession for generations! The answer is no!" "Please sir! I-" Deltarune began. "Guards take him away!" The guards grabbed Delta and pulled him away. "You'll regret this Capricornus! You're making a huge mistake!" The week after, every single human was found dead without a single survivor. Or so we thought. Two humans had managed to escape and came here to your world. They reproduced and soon, the humans were back. But back in Equestria, things were terrible. The relationship between the monsters and the ponies had grown into a hateful one. Celestia and Luna were only in their hundreds at this point and even joined in the war. The war only started when Deltarune took everything too far. When Capricornus woke up the next morning he felt a warm liquid on his hoof... "Sweetheart? Are you drooling? I never thought you would..." Capricornus opened his eyes to see his wife's glazed over, her face frozen in an expression of fear, blood spilling out of her neck and onto himself. Capricornus jumped out of bed and stared at his dead wife. The funeral was issued and a state of war was effective immediately. (Present) "When Capricornus died," Twilight continued, "Everypony had lost hope. But when Celestia and Luna joined the battle, they emerged victorious and sealed the monsters underground with a BARRIER." "A what?" I asked. "The BARRIER was a spell that no pony or monster could break unless they were empowered with very strong magic. I was doing an experiment and-" "You came here by accident." I finished. "Jem I'm so sorry!" She said nearly breaking down in tears. "Hey its okay Twi. I'm just happy I got to meet you and the others!" She smiled at me and leaned in closer to my face, but I leaned back. "W-what are you doing?" "Oh... I-I thought that... never mind." She said slightly disappointed. The doctor came back in wearing a mask. "You are ready to be discharged!" He yelled happily. He very unprofessionally unplugged everything and pulled me out of the bed and pulled me out of the room, only to be brought to a darker one. "W-what is this place? W-why am I here?" I asked. "Just for a... heart... transplant." The doctor laughed maniacally and he revealed himself to be the leader of the hunters named, Silas J. Turner. I tried to make a run for it but he grabbed me and strapped me onto a gurney. "HEL-" I tried to call for help but was unable to because of the wad of tissues he shoved into my mouth. "Let's just get this over with. Shall we?" He said grinning an inhumane smile. 'I-if I could just touch him,' I thought, 'Maybe then I could activate my SOUL and stop him!' He approached with a scalpel prepared to tear into my flesh and pull out the SOUL. The monsters came from everywhere. From the fireplace, from the windows, even from the walls. The house was a complete wreck. But the monsters? They were easy to beat. The girls had easily learned how to use their SOULs, and learned to push monsters away or make them disappear. Flowey was outside watching the carnage. "How could have I hired such weaklings?!" He exclaimed. "It just isn't fa- W-what? Good, she's taking care of him right now. Your job is done old friend. Go ahead and relax. What do you mean you can make the monsters stronger? Well do it then!" As soon as she had worked her magic, the monsters SOULs were powered on pure adrenaline and determination. the ponies and dragon were easily over-powered and were tied up. "Do whatever you want to us! But leave our friend Jem and his family out of it!" Rainbow yelled. "Too late pony." A monster said before the hoard turned around and left. "H-hey! Get back here you cowards!" Rainbow yelled. Their bonds dissipated and they were standing alone in a wreck of a house. "W-what did he mean by that?" Fluttershy asked. "Forget that!" Pinkie yelled. "Look at this place! We need to clean it up before they get home!" "Pinkie's right." Applejack stated. "What?! But what about Jem and Twilight?!" Rainbow yelled. "If we go out there... we'll just get ourselves into more trouble." Applejack explained, "Jem and Twilight can handle themselves. We need to fix the house before they get back." "If they get back..." Rainbow muttered. I kept struggling but the straps were too tight. It was as if they were perfectly done with no weak spots. "Jem! Are you in there?!" I could only give muffled screams. and she wouldn't even hear me over Turner's maniacal laughs. "This is going to be even more fun than that kid at the aquarium!" What did he say? My friend Gabe was the only one who was killed at the aquarium. That meant. No. No. He killed Gabe. My best friend. I just felt anger, an urge to kill, I could feel my chest burning as my SOUL used all of its power just to break myself free. I pulled harder and harder until the straps broke. "What?!" He yelled. My eyes glowed pure white, my SOUL clearly visible on my chest. My scars had faded in the couple of seconds it was powered up. Then it stopped. I was back to normal and I was free. "NO!" He yelled as he ran at me with a scalpel. I fell back and braced for the stinging sensation of being stabbed. But it never came. All I could hear was the sound of the door bursting open and the sound of gunshots. Turner crumpled into a corpse and his SOUL floated into midair. The black of his SOUL disappeared to reveal a white one which cracked, and scattered into five pieces. Whoever had taken control of Turner was dead. "KID!" I saw Calvin Streak in the doorway holding up a pistol. He ran over and helped me get up. "You okay?!" "I-I'm fine." I said shakily. "Jem!" My family and Twilight came running into the dark OR. I was instantly engulfed in a group hug, and I loved every second of it. As the tears came down onto my face, I smiled, being happy to be alive. (THE BARRIER) Demonic Wing was outside of the BARRIER studying the portal. He was having trouble finding out where it lead. "Any luck?" Nightmare Moon asked as she appeared next to him in the form of a shadow. "No... Nothing yet. This portal is just... indecipherable." "You'll figure it out Wingy. You always do." Demonic blushed at the nickname she had given him. He wasn't the largest fan of it, but he loved it nonetheless. He continued to try using his demonic abilities to learn where the portal had lead but ended up with nothing. The world it lead to either had too many objects blocking its atmosphere, or it lead to nowhere. "I'm calling it for the day." He said as he walked away from the side of the mountain. "We'll find out where it leads Wingy." Nightmare said optimistically. "And hopefully we'll get you a real body as well." Demonic said happily as he flew off towards his temporary chambers in the castle. Meanwhile Starlight and Cloudy were looking around Ponyville for helpers. Nopony so far had known anything about inter-dimensional travel except for Clockwork and Derpy. That was two helpers down, now they needed a couple more. Cloudy had considered they went to go find his old friend Golden Rise. He lived on the outskirts of Ponyville but was always seen around town. He had marvelous Wings as if they belonged to a phoenix. He had a golden coat, yellow and orange mane, and a satchel full of spell books. He had the ability to use magic without a horn which amazed some ponies. Starlight and Cloudy found him on his front porch looking at an apple in front of him. "Are you Golden-" Golden Rise held up a hoof telling her to be quiet. He concentrated and turned the apple into two red doves. "Apologies" he said, "I need perfect concentration for some spells to work. Now how can I- Cloudy Arrow! Is that you?!" "Hey Golden! How've you been buddy?" Cloudy said happily. "I've been well Cloudy! And you must be the famous Starlight Glimmer I presume?" "Well... not famous-" She said trying to be modest. "Nonsense! You're just as famous as the Elements of Harmony!" Golden exclaimed. "So, to what do I owe this pleasure?" (Kaplan House) Thanks to Rarity's magic, the house was fixed faster. She wasn't the best at it, but she had a few tricks up her hooves. Every brick, piece of wall, and shard of glass was cleaned up and magically resealed to it's original place. Jem, his family, and Twilight had all returned to the house soon after they had finished fixing it up. Twilight deactivated her screen spell and turned back into a pony. After explaining what had happened at the hospital, they went upstairs but just as Jem was going to go to bed, the girls and Spike pulled him into the bonus room. "H-hey! What're you-" "Jem, the monsters attacked the house." Applejack said quickly. "W-what?" "They were looking for you and wrecked the house attacking us." Fluttershy added. "But the house is fine?" A brick fell from the attic just as he mentioned that. "Oh that makes sense." "That's why we all came up with an idea..." Rarity said slowly, "Maybe we could turn into humans as well and go with you to school?" Jem had to think about this. With Twilight it was easy... but all seven of them? "I don't know guys." Jem said with insecurities. "What? afraid of being followed around by six girls?" Rainbow said in a cocky sort of manner. Jem rolled his eyes. "My school is strict with security. With the events happening at other schools... they might assume that I'm a terrorist." They all frowned. It wasn't just about being with Jem... they wanted to go outside. "But..." they all perked up, "Maybe outside of school would work?" It was agreed that they would finally be able to go outside. Instead of going back to his bed, he slept in a separate sleeping bag next to the pullout couch. Author's Note Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone By J.K. Chapter Eight- Meanwhile in EquestriaChapter Eight: Back in Equestria "Aaaaaaaand that's pretty much the long and short of it." Starlight finished explaining to Golden Rise. "What do you think?" Golden was lost in thought. The Elements of Harmony trapped in a world full of Celestia-knows-what creatures. It was... scary to think about to say the least. "Equestria to Golden!" Cloudy Arrow yelled. Golden Rise shook himself out of his trance. "Urm... It's a lot to take in. Do you know where the BARRIER is?" "Yes... why would-" Starlight began. "We need to know what we're up against." He continued. "C'mon... I'll-" *CRASH* The sound of a pan fell from inside his house. "Um... I have very, very loose shelves." He said with a sheepish smile. Starlight and Cloudy walked up to the house. "Okay Starlight... there could be a dangerous creature in there." He began. "So as a member of the royal guard... I should watch our backs. Good? Good!" Starlight rolled her eyes. They both walked into the house. Starlight had a stun spell ready for fire and Cloudy held his spear ready for attack. The went into the kitchen and found a pile of pots and pans on the floor. On the stove, was what appeared to be a sunny-side-up egg with bacon and... Spaghetti for some reason. There was a scurrying coming from another hallway and a shadow disappeared. "Golden? Was that you?" Silence. "Mr. Rise! This is not funny!" Starlight said as she and Cloudy walked down the hallway to, what they recognized as a basement door. They opened the door and saw a couple of shadows. Voices could be heard from down there. One deep, one nasally, one very loud, and one that was very hard to describe. It was loud, but it was male. "I'll go first this time." Cloudy said. Starlight nodded and backed up to let him through. He walked downstairs slowly only to find... nothing. He was about to turn back when something swung from the ceiling screaming: "NGHAAAAAA!" He fell onto a mattress being pinned down by a small yellow creature in a lab coat. "STARLIGHT RUN!!!" Cloudy yelled but she was grabbed from behind by two long and bony arms. The four creatures came into view now. There were two skeletons. One tall, one short. There was also a tall blue creature that resembled a fish. The last was the creature pinning Cloudy down. It was a yellow dragon in a lab coat. "BROTHER!" The tall skeleton yelled, "WOULD YOU STOP LOUNGING AROUND AND HELP US WITH THESE INTRUDERS?!" "eh... i would... but I'm practicing for my jobs" "What jobs?!" The fish creature yelled. "You aren't even allowed to leave this basement!" "true..." The smaller skeleton said, "but when i do I'm gonna have like... twenty breaks? i'm only on my third at the moment." "YOU IMBECILE!" The taller skeleton yelled. "TAKE A BREAK FROM YOUR BREAK AND CAPTIVATE THESE PONIES!" "Um... you guys?" The yellow dragon asked, "Can we try and keep it down? I think Frisk is trying to sleep." It was only then that a fifth creature came into view. I had long brown hair, blue and purple striped shirt, and a blank expression on its face. It slowly walked over to Starlight who was struggling in the taller skeleton's arms. It looked at her, then looked up at the taller skeleton for what seemed like forever. "Are you sure human?" The skeleton asked. "Frisk" stared at the skeleton more. "That makes sense I suppose." The skeleton let Starlight go and the dragon let Cloudy go. They backed into the corner. "You..." Starlight said shakily. "You're all..." Cloudy said. "MONSTERS?!" They both yelled. "GUYS! STOP!" Golden said running in. "Golden? Do you know them?" The fish asked. "Yes Undyne. They're friends." "Wh- Gh- Damn it! I was hoping I could beat their faces in!" The dragon-like creature held her appendages(?) to calm her down. "*Sigh* Thanks Alphys." "J-just calm down okay?" "Alphys" said shakily. "G-golden?" Cloudy said shakily. Golden Rise cringed at this. "You've been... harboring fugitives?! Monsters no less!" "You don't understand! These are good monsters!" "How can you trust them?!" Starlight asked angrily, "That 'Undyne' thing wanted to bash our faces in!" "I'm still warmed up pony girl." Starlight shrank back as Undyne cracked her knuckles. "They were helpless. On the run. I almost turned them in when I found them but... It was winter. They were freezing, starving, and dying. They were low on HP when I found them. Besides... one of them isn't a monster. He looked over to Frisk who only stared back, slightly tilting their head. Starlight and Cloudy were both squeeing in their minds: "SO CUUUUTE!" "Any who... I think proper introductions are in order." Golden Rise said. He pointed to the small skeleton, "This is Sans. He is the older brother to the other skeleton, Papyrus. He likes making jokes, pulling pranks, and is very laid back. Emphasis on VERY." "nice to meetcha!" Sans reached out a hand. Starlight was reluctant to do so. "c'mon! don'tcha know how to greet a new pal?" Starlight put her hoof into his hand and... "hehehehe! the old whoopee cushion in the hand trick! it's always funny!" Starlight rolled her eyes while Cloudy chuckled at the joke. "see? that pony gets it!" "The other skeleton, as I mentioned before, is Papyrus. He's very loud, ambitious, smart(ish), and believes that all of his friends can accomplish any task." "Pleasure to meet you ponies!" He said in a cheery attitude. "Um... nice to meet you too." Starlight said shaking his gloved hand. "Pardon me if I'm being sort of straightforward but... what are you wearing?" "oh boy now you've done it." Sans said bluntly. "THIS IS MY BATTLE BODY! CRAFTED AT THE PAWS OF THE GREAT TEMMI, THIS COSTUME PREPARED ME TO GO INTO BATTLE TO FACE MY WORST FEAR!" "Really?" Starlight said, impressed and amused at the same time. "NEEDLESS TO SAY... SOCIAL ANXIETY HAD NEVER BEEN WEAKER THAT DAY!" Obviously, he had been exaggerating. Starlight turned to Sans for an explanation. "it was tailored by a dog that's been ruined by the internet and he went to a costume party. he vowed never to take it off." The three ponies scrunched up the muzzles in disgust. "he washes it..." They all sighed in relief. "but by that i mean he wears it in the shower." They all shuddered again. "Wait... what's the internet?" Starlight asked. Alphys gasped and ran over to her. "PLEASE TELL ME YOU'VE HEARD OF ANIME!!!" She yelled. "I've read manga but that's it?" Starlight said sheepishly. "Eh..." Alphys said bluntly, "Close enough." "This is Alphys." Golden explained. "She's an anime fanmare but she was the royal scientist. She was studying how to take down the BARRIER." Golden leaned in closer. "Also... she has a thing for Undyne." Starlight was going to talk to Alphys but she had sat down on the mattress looking at what appeared to be a glowing tablet. "And this is-" Golden started. "Hi. I'm Undyne. End of story." "Um... okay, she's not in the mood to talk. Anyway, this little angel is Frisk! Frisk is not a monster, but a human." "Why not refer to him as a he?" Cloudy asked. "Or her as a she?" Starlight added. "Well... Frisk is... agendered." "Frisk doesn't have one?" Cloudy asked. "Nope. It's okay if you make the mistake of saying he or she though." Golden continued. "Frisk doesn't care at all." "Nice to meet you Frisk!" Starlight said smiling. Frisk looked from her face to her hoof, walked up, and shook it. Keeping the same expression the whole time. "Does um... Does Frisk talk?" Cloudy asked. "Telepathically." Golden answered "Really?" Cloudy asked. Just then, he felt something enter his mind and whisper, "Yes." Cloudy shuddered. "Well I'm convinced." He said. "I'll be right back" He proceeded to run upstairs and scream. "Let's go Starlight." Golden said. "You can fill me in more on the way." "Sure!" She said smiling. "It was nice meeting you all." Sans lifted a hand up lazily, Sans and Alphys waved happily, Undyne grunted and turned away, and Frisk gave a thumbs up, still with a blank expression. Something was off about them. THE BARRIER Demonic Wing was busy with the vortex in the center of the BARRIER. It was swirling clockwise which meant it went into the future. It was swirling very quickly which meant time sped up compared to here. Nothing hinted at what was through it though. There was also no telling if there was another side for reentry. He scribbled down some possibilities based on what he learned. So far, all he had was: FUTURE??? All of his learnings just led to dead ends. He was sick of it all. He had always thought to himself: 'If I know so much about alternate Universes, why not move to another?' It was because there was no Universe where he fit in. Each one just led to the Mane 6 going on adventures with odd creatures and things that never happened in the original Equestria. He knew that there was not one yet where he fit in. He only hoped that this one would accept him when his work was done. He pulled out the book that his master had found all those years back. A tiny journal labeled: Luna in blue writing. It showed what happened during the Monster War all those years back. He wished he could ask Luna for the details but he knew that if he got close she would surely notice- "Hello Wingy!" Nightmare said as she appeared from the shadows. Demonic Wing didn't even flinch. "That should've scared you..." "You've done it too many times for me to be afraid." He said bluntly. "What? When have I- DON'T YOU DARE FLASHBACK!" She shouted as he started to go into a daze and ripples appeared in midair. "Then you know the answer to the question you were just going to ask?" He asked smirking. "Ugh, you're no fun." Nightmare said pouting. "Love ya too Nightmare..." "awww ain't that sweet?" They both turned to see a certain skeleton drinking from a ketchup bottle. "Wingy?" "Yeah?" "Is that a monster drinking ketchup?" "It would appear so..." "well i was gonna pull a prank and offer it to some ponies eatin hot dogs... but then i... thought why waste a perfectly good ketchup bottle on somethin i could easily do over and over? right?" "Wait... that sounds like something G- No. It can't be... you... you died..." "welp... i'm outta here.' Sans said, 'see ya later...' The skeleton left. "You knew him?" Nightmare asked. "Yeah... but that was only half of him..." Demonic Wing said in shock. "Well I'm glad some things still surprise you." Nightmare Moon said smirking, then disappearing into a shadow. Demonic Wing stood there, glaring at the spot she disappeared from. "Why do I even bother?" He asked getting back to work. He then heard voices coming closer to the BARRIER. "It's over here Golden!" Starlight said, "We just wanted to prove to you that this happened." "I really hope Celestia mentioned me to her..." Demonic murmured to himself, "Whenever I'm in the presence of a pony-" "DEMON!" Starlight yelled. "That... that's what happens." Demonic could hear Starlight charging up her horn. Obviously to stun him... "Typical." He said bluntly so they could hear him. As Starlight fired, he took flight, evading her spell. But Starlight wasn't done. She fired again, and again, and again, until her horn was burning red. Magic wasn't meant to be used that rapidly, she should've known. But Demonic Wing dodged her attacks as if he were playing a game of dodgeball with a filly. It was only when she hit the BARRIER that he got serious. "HEY!" He was struck with her spell and was sent tumbling to the ground. Much to his dismay, him being attacked had angered Nightmare. She appeared out of the shadows and using her Royal Canterlot Voice: "YOU DARE ATTACK THE DEMON ATTEMPTING TO FIND YOUR FRIENDS?!" The three ponies stepped back in fear. "I-is that..." Golden Rise started. "Nightmare..." Cloudy continued. "Moon." Starlight said glaring at her, coming out of the fear that she still felt. "Greetings Starlight Glimmer," Nightmare Moon said, her voice dripping with venom, "I wish I could say it is a pleasure seeing you again." "Starlight... You know her?!" Golden Rise yelled. "I met her in a nightmare I had a few months back." She answered, still glaring at her previous foe. "NIGHTMARE DON'T!" Demonic yelled, "Everypony just calm down and stand down okay?!" "Why should we?! You should know what she is! You demons gave Luna the spell to transform into her!" Golden yelled. "Who are you anyways?!" "That's Demonic Wing!" Cloudy yelled. Starlight turned toward him. "You know him?" "He's working for the Princesses! Now Starlight... if you don't want to get hurt... stand. Down." She hesitated for a little while, but she finally gave in and powered down her horn. Nightmare Moon in return did the same. "Don't hurt Wingy again you foolish little foal." She said angrily. She backed into a shadow and disappeared. "Sorry about her." Demonic Wing said. "She gets a little upset when I'm attacked. I don't know why she cares so much about me but... who am I to complain?" "What do you mean? She was... protecting you?" Starlight asked. "Yes. Exactly. Now keep your mouth shut about this and there won't be trouble." He said in a very threatening manner. "You don't scare me demon." She said through gritted teeth. "I'm sorry?" He said in a sarcastic manner, "I'm pretty sure I have an -ic wing after the demon part?" Starlight growled in response. "Why are you here Mr. Wing?" Golden Rise asked. "First of all, call me Demonic Wing. I've never been into formalities." He said bluntly, "Second, what I;m doing here is none of your business." "That's where you're wrong Demonic Wing." Cloudy said. "Who're you?" Demonic asked. "I'm Sir Cloudy Arrow of the royal guard. We've been recruiting ponies to help us find our friends." "That's what I was doing. And I don't need help." "Sorry... but we're here on Celestia's orders." Cloudy said. Demonic lowered his head in defeat. There was no arguing with royalty. "Here." He said throwing them a crumpled piece of paper. "What's this?" Starlight asked. "Helpers." Demonic said returning to work. "I was going to ditch the paper so I could get this done by myself, but seeing as Celestia wants a team..." He gestured to the list. They all looked at it. Some weren't even ponies. "There are multiple creatures on that list from Ponies to Thestrals." Demonic Wing said. "Better get to it..." "Um quick question..." Cloudy said. Demonic just grunted. "What's a Thestral?" Author's Note Sorry it took so long to get out. Thanks for Cuddlebug (cloudy arrow), Golden Rise and Little Wingy (Demonic wing) for agreeing to be in the story! Prologue- From the Journal of Princess LunaChapter: Prologue Second Moon of the Capricornus Era Day Fourteen of the Monster War Our father has created us this journal for reasons we don't understand. He explained to us to keep this journal in his honor, and record the events of the war. We never thought the war would break out in the first place. However we are proud that father will do anything he can to protect us and our sister. Mother will stand by as well. In case we are required in combat, our mentor Starswirl the Bearded will, if needed, teach us advanced magic. The worst is yet to come. We are still wondering how this fierce war had begun. Our land that was once peaceful, we coexisted with the monsters. One day, a monster attacked a foal in the town square of Canterlot. After that, the Council decided to separate monsters from us Ponies. We do not know what to do. Luna Fifth Moon of the Capricornus Era Day Eighty Five of the Monster War Five Days after the death of King Capricornus The ponies have lost all hope. They believe that now that the King [My Father] has passed on to the Astral Plane, the monsters shall take our land. We believe that to not be the case. Our mentor Starswirl is lost. Our sister is still dreaded knowing our father's time had come. It was even worse when mother had sadly, passed on. Although our parents may have perished, we believe we have a spell that can trap the monsters. It was used a very long time ago by an ancient tribe called whomenhuemin humans. A spell that takes the SOUL power and Determination of others and creates what is known as a BARRIER. We know thou sister is grieving, but she may come around. Luna Seventh Moon of the Capricornus Era Day One hundred Forty Seven Sixty Seven Days after the death of King Capricornus We've done it! The war has finally been won! We have sealed the beasts underground with the spell I had spoken of for so long. This entry in this marvelous journal will be kept short as the celebration is at hoof. My sister and I have decided to remain with our princess titles for many eras to come, as to not disrespect our Mother and Father. Why would this disrespect them thou may ask? Ponies believe that when one passes on, they never truly die. They just roam the endless Astral Plane. My sister is knocking on my door. This may be my final entry for a while. Luna Luna slowly looked up from her journal. She had looked back at the most dreaded memories and finished writing her probably final entry for a very long time. The BARRIER is said to last many centuries and possibly Eras. As Luna finished writing, she heard a knock at the door. "Enter." Luna answered. A soft click was heard and a young pink maned alicorn trotted in. She had suns on her flanks, representing her special talent, the ability to raise and lower the sun. She wore her mother's tiara which bore a single purple gem. Princess Celestia, slowly walked into her younger sister's quarters. "Hello my sister. Pray tell, where have you been? Are you not interested in the festivities?" the young princess asked "No sister. We-" "Luna," she said in a teasing manner, "I told you not to speak like that anymore. Times are changing. We, as in everypony, needs to change for the better, we need to take care of our kingdom." "We," She flinched, "I know sister. But something feels... off." "Whatever do you mean Luna?" Celestia said as she sat down next to her sister. "I feel that the monsters gave up too easily. That they just entered, the Barrier, with no objections?" Celeste thought about that. Her sister was correct. They had just entered and that was that. She didn't want to worry about this right now. And she definitely didn't want her sister to worry. "Sister I've had enough! You are exiting your quarters and going to the party! Come ooooon!" Celestia whined as she nudged her sister. "Alright Sister! Just give me a little more time!" Luna growled irritated. After her sister left, she took a nice long look at the journal before chucking it out of her window. "Sister is probably right. I'm just being over dramatic." The journal bounced down a row of roofs into the well of the palace garden. It hit the walls of the well until it hit the bottom. In the bottom of the well was a small crack that slowly drained the water. As the journal slipped inside, it was torn a minor bit and fell into the Underground. There it lay. For centuries and eras. Until one day, a young monster found the book. Laying in a pile of golden flowers. A Freshman's Guide to Ponies
Chapter One- GraduationChapter 1: Graduation Jem walked down from the podium.
Chapter Five: School.
We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.
Chapter Seven - Out of Control SOULChapter Seven: Out of Control SOUL He could only remember bits and pieces.
