Third POV

Fluttershy was looking over the prisoners as they passed through the gate, rarity and rainbow were already outside dealing with the changeling army who had started rushing here as soon as they opened the portal, she could have joined them but she decided it was safer to stay with the prisoner incase one of the enemy passed through even if she doubted it greatly, rainbow and rarity were the best when it came to attention on the battlefield, rainbow had a large view of the battlefield from above and could deduct the enemy objective with sheer instinct while rarity was very observant with detail and calculated into her positionnement making the enemies unable to ignore her to rush forward.

"Deathscythe here command center do you receive me?"

"I receive you clearly command."

"We received strange report from the regular army about the changling movement, something is moving toward you, something big and its surrounded by at least 15 torus and around 50 to 70 leo and aries from the griffin mixed together, i also have a few report of virgo but nothing certain yet so it might be faulty report from nervous pilots, princess celestia said she remember seeing movement like that from her first conflict with changeling a few century ago but can't recall more than that it was connected to their queen making a move."

"So chrysalis is entering the fray?"that was interesting, chrysalis was rarely putting herself in danger except when she was sure to be safe, this mean she was underestimating them right now.

"Possible, you are the most assassination oriented units we have on the field, we are sending spike through the gate to take your place while you switch to VIP elimination duties."

Fluttershy frowned, while she acknowledged chrysalis assassination worth, she also valued her compatriot lives more than that."spike's gafran isn't fully repaired, can't you ask the sandrock to move to my position instead?"

"Impossible deathscythe, sandrock and heavyarms are preventing the prison to be surrounded which would lead to the shenlong and wing to be overwhelmed, the gafran of spike is operational enough to deal with a potential enemies breakthrough, this is the occasion to free equestria from the changling menace, even wounding the queen could force them to retreat out of equestria border back in the badland for safety."

*sight*"very well command center, send him here and i'll move on to my new mission."

She looked as spike's gafran entered in view through the portal, the diffuse cannon was gone and instead a fully fledged torso was made, the tail had been fixed but the rest was still like before, the new arm wasn't installed and it still got the heavy armored daughtress arm. Even the balance isn't fixed yet even if the tail gatling helped, the flamethrower wasn't upgraded yet either.

"Alright spike, i'll leave this place to you, stay focus and don't rush out. Those people safety is our main objective in this whole entire mission, if we're lucky it might be the last time we face an organized changling army."

"Don't worry, i know. Good luck in your mission, reap this cunt to shred, for me twilight and shining."

Fluttershy just nodded, what was one to say when a friend ask you to kill the murderer of its and one of your best friend parents?

She rushed outside using the backdoor used for deliveries around her the sound of battle were omnipresent and relentless, she crouched behind a wall as a party of arise flew over her closely followed by the wing in bird mod taking shot at them using the anti tank rifle kshatriya had prepared for her at the last minutes after they discovered how much rainbow disliked the grenade launcher, rainbow easily dispatched three aries before passing above them and transforming mid flight landing heavily on the one in lead forcing it on the ground, she glided on its broken frame and shot down the last one without even looking.

"You can come out shy, why are you here by the way, shouldn't you be protecting the prisoners?"

I can't hide from you dash, as always. She came out of her hiding,"new orders, chrysalis is on the move, i am sent on VIP elimination mission and spike is taking over for me inside."

"Wasn't the gafran still in repair?"dash said before aiming and shooting through a building destroying a leo she had seen through the building aligned windows for a fraction of second.

"He was, its operational but not optimal, it will have to do for now. I'll try to be quick but i can't miss this opportunity."

Rainbow nodded,"okay, i'll warn rarity and we will double our effort to prevent enemies from slipping in, good hunt shy and stay safe."

Shy noded and left. She Moved unseen between the buildings toward the changeling cohort. From time to time she would hide from patrol and sentry flying over her but it was getting harder and harder the closer she got to the targeted area near the MS hangar.

Fluttershy looked around from her hiding spot behind the MS armory, there was 20 leo and 15 torus around the hangar, she had passed the rest unseen but it was still too many to deal with fast enough to get chrysalis before she fled."command center here deathscythe, i have the target hiding spot in visual but i can't get any closer without a diversion..."

"Deathscythe, princess celestia here, the grandeen weapons system includes four medium caliber artillery cannons, if you mark the target using your optic camera we would bombard the enemy position from here."

"And with enough luck it will reduce their number enough for me to dispose of them quickly and rush to chrysalis before she escape, very well, i am marking the most crowded positions."

Fluttershy aimed at the sentry tower and the densest regroupement marking four position in total.

"Deathscythe we received the coordinates, firing now, get under cover."

*boom**boom**boom**boom* four explosion where heard followed by the whistling of shells falling, the explosion wracked the ground in a noise of thunder and raising a screen of dust and a shower of stone and steel wreckages. Fluttershy peeked to assess the enemies situation, only three torus left with one on the ground trying to stand up, she bursted from her hiding spot turning her scythe into a spear and jumped, she landed shoving her spear through the fallen torus, one of its friend took to the sky while the other rushed her with its heat sword slashing at her back, she changed her weapon from spear to scythe and in reverse grip she stabbed the torus cockpit from the side, she stood up and twirled the weapon in her hand making it into a spear again and throwing it like a javelot to the last torus and hit it just under the cockpit, she walked to the downed torus and grabbed her spear turning it into a scythe still inside it the blade bursting from its head after passing through the cockpit making it explode.

"Commande center the sentry are finished, i am moving to the hangar now i-"fluttershy eye snapped to the right and she jumped aside barely dodging the shell who exploded where she just was. She turned around and her eyes widened.

"My,my~~i know those movement, like a butterfly, sadly for it the gracious butterfly as flown right into the voracious spider nest. Tell me little butterfly, what may have brought you in my home?"the voice of the new threat was suave and reverbated eerily.

*tch*"commande center, the mission has just gotten a lot more complicated."she said observing the 35 meter tall, four legged monstrosity. It had two large claw on its sides and the upper body of a MS wielding a big anti tank cannon.

Chrysalis laughed,"you like it? It's the very first changeling developed castle frame, truly a wonder of technology!"she aimed at fluttershy and fired, electricity crackled as the linear cannon electromagnetically accelerated the steel shell it used as ammunition, the bullet left the chamber with a thunder noise and fluttershy once again barely dodged.

"Here unite deathscythe, i need assistance asap, the changeling deployed a mobile armor! I repeat mobile armor on the field!" she powered her thruster and focused on dodging, she couldn't just rush knowing nothing of chrysalis unit, one of the thing all mobile armor had was a wide array of weapons, and until she knew all of them it was nothing less of a sudden deathmatch for her, if she rushed to slash at chrysalis literally anything could suddenly be aimed at her and kill her.

"Ahahahah! What is the problem butterfly?! Didn't you come here to kill me?! Then come!"chrysalis unit lifted from a few meter above ground and glided toward fluttershy its claw at the ready and linear cannon shooting at her, for her part fluttershy decided to simply dodge until renfort came.

"Deathscythe, here is kshatriya, if you can lure her toward the mountain we could exchange, you keep the recovery team safe and i deal with the mobile armor."

Fluttershy took the time to think about it, while she couldn't beat a mobile armor on 1v1 she was sure kshatriya could, the 111 ton, 34 meter tall and heavily armed kshatriya certainly could."very well i am heading toward you, can i hope for cover fire from someone?"

Dash joined in the conversation,"i will cover you from above, hit and run tactic and don't show her off, it's when she is sure to have the upper hand that she's the least dangerous."

"Understood."

Kshatriya POV

'oh this is going to be good'

-kshatriya, the mobile armor is in scanning range.

Kshatriya looked at the enemy MA,'alright let's see what it-!!!'

"Oy oy you got to be kidding me! An Agrissa Type 7!"

-it also carry the actual weapon of the Agrissa Type 7, from the scan it has the linear canon, the plasma cannon and field and the carbon claw are present too.

"Then it's our first true battle, the rest was trash but this one is a real opponent."

-the deathscythe will be in range for it to leap at our position into 15 second, the deathscythe won't be able to dodge the linear cannon in flight i recommend a synchronized leap to protect the deathscythe.

'i agree.

"Fluttershy, jump here in 10 second, i'll cover you."' kshatriya readied herself, wing flared and thruster powered, she took out her two plasma sword and when the counter reaches 0,"now!"

Both units jumped,"oh no you don't little butterfly!"chrysalis fired with the linear cannon but before the bullet could tear into the deathscythe back a beam shield was formed from three of kshatriya funnel and intercepted the shell before going back in her wing.

"No you don't!"screamed kshatriya in the open channel.

Chrysalis eye widened from seeing a unit as big as her mobile armor and moving at such speed. Kshatriya brought down her beam sabers but the Agrissa slided aside and opened its lower bay allowing its plasma cannon to shoot. But even while dodging kshatriya stayed on the offensive, she dodged beam after beam and shell after shell and closed the distant little by little.

"W-what is that?! Dammit you actually baited me into a trap! Me?! The queen of changelings!" the Agrissa stopped moving backward and instead rushed forward surprising the kshatriya.

'what- the Agrissa is not made for melee against big unit! What is she doing?!'

Chrysalis landed on the kshatriya throwing it on its back and clamping its claw around it blocking its arms

"Die and give me your castle frame you lower life form!" chrysalis powered the plasma field intent on using the antie pilot property of the weapon to safely retrieve this "castle frame".

'h-hacks what is that maddening hitching?'

-its the plasma field effect on the computer housing your consciousness, i recommend immediate action to free yourself kshatriya.

"G-got it!"even with her arms against her side kshatriya had many way to attack, her eye pulsed and she brought out her wings blades intent on severing the four legs of the Agrissa.

Chrysalis snarled,"why.won't.you.die!"the plasma cannon aimed downward right onto the kshatriya chest.

'hacks phase shift armor she's too close for i-field!'

The kshatriya turned grey as the plasma beam crashed on her.

The wing and deathscythe watched the battle with holded breath, kshatriya had not only pushed back the Agrissa but actually forced chrysalis into going all out and use all the weapons at her disposition with little to show for it, kshatriya seemed to have a counter at everything.

"Enough with you Kiseichū(parasite)!"kshatriya slashed the agrissa four leg and two claw and grabbed the main frame, she powered the radiant wave surger and unloaded,"i'm sure you'll make a nice pop Konchū(insect)!"

"I-i won't die! Not like this!"chrysalis pressed the uncoupling button and her MS -a union flag custom- separated from the agrissa and flew higher as it exploded, she was joined by five Palace Guard Type which two of them being custom model with large sword on their back and thicker arms and longer wings. Five others were keeping the wing gundam at a distance from their queen.

"You win this one equestrian! But it's not over, i destroyed your new castle frame and once i have gathered my army i'll have the final laugh in the end, as always!"

They moved away in direction of the aeroport while kshatriya freed herself from the agrissa wreckage.

"*tch* they are already this far?"

-their unit seem to focus on speed, probably because of their tendency to capture MS of others country demand from them to be able to catch up to their target.

"Once this mission is over i'll make myself a new long range weapon. About that, command center what is the mission statut, the assassination was a failure but the changling MA was destroyed."

"Commande center here, the prisoner evacuation is over, the retrieval of the old equestrian army too. We are now waiting for the princess luna to rejoin us with princess celestia MS."

The voice of rarity interrupted the communication,"well she better be done soon, because chrysalis called for reinforcement..."

"What? Shenlong, command center here, please more information. Chrysalis just left its battle with kshatriya she can't be back with reinforcement already."

Pinkie panicked voice reached them,"here heavyarms, the daybreak is on the move, it distanced itself from the city a few minutes ago, just when chrysalis started going crazy over the open channel. Its broadside is pointed at us, if it fire its artillery cannon we won't last long!"

"dammit! to all unit this is princess celestia speaking, all units are too move to the closest gate and retreat to ponyville, i repeat use the gate and retreat to ponyville."

the units rapidly desangaged the enemies and moved toward the gate under the cover fire of the gundam.

"what about luna?"kshatriya asked.

"don't worry, if its gone like i think she will be contacting us any moment now."

"well she better be fast, once chrysalis is safe she won't have any reason not to shoot us dead til we die from death!" said pinkie.

kshatriya was about to move toward the castle when,"here the bertigo, i have retrieved my sister MS and are moving toward the gate, i'll need at least 15 minutes to reach it with this fat thing, like pilot like MS right sister?"

"not now lulu, kshatriya, do you have anything capable of intercepting the daybreak artillery, even if partially, the city won't collapse from a few shot but a full on salve could only be endured four to six time at best."

"can't we just destroy it hacks?'

-our energy level is already at 63%, the daybreak is a battleship equipped with more weapon than we can dodge, maintaining the defense necessary to prevent damage would take us too much too use weapons capable of doing more than superficial damage without risking shutting down.

"alright, i'll block its attack a few time, i won't be able to defend the whole city so tell me where to go."

""the foundation under the city."" said both princess and the whole gundam team at the same time .

"yeah...make sense. i'm moving, princess luna please be quick."

"i will make the lieutenant dash blush with envy.","hey!"

they all chuckled with both tiredness and determination.

third POV

"god dammit! both our foothold in equestria and our food source lost in one day!" chrysalis was seething in rage as she flew to the daybreak, the thought of the ship eased her anger,'the equestrian may be unable to use their magic based technologie in battle due to its concentration thinning when inside the mana nullification devices range but we changeling have become master at using magic sparingly, we can stock it into corporal substance one that is hundred time harder to disperse! this ship can harness mana which we store like we store love and then we can use it to power the ship equipment and weaponry, it does kill changelings to process raw mana but that is what drone are for, to die in the hive interest! this ship was to be one of the equestrian greatest weapons and now that it can be used, it will become the changling greatest weapon! the leviathan!'

"hahahahahahahahahaha! yes! you will all die and despair, and once your pathetic army lay broken i'll raid this refuge you made for yourselves lower life form! faster morons! i want to be their yesterday."

she accelerated her guard following close behind.

kshatriya POV

'this city really is built on the mountain side using something as basic as stone pillars? well they did have two thousand years of peace so maybe someone aiming to destroy a whole city wasn't that much of a concern back then.'

-kshatriya! attack incoming!

she looked at the daybreak and saw as cannon after cannon shot beam toward the pillar behind her.

"alright let's do this!" she flared her four wing releasing all her funnel and moved them in group into the beam trajectory, she formed beam barrier and blocked the laser using only short burst of power to form the barrier.

'i need to preserve energy, i can only use 20 funnel at a time so i can rotate when they need to recharge, i need at least three to make a barrier so its six barrier at a time and one funnel free for bigger barrier, i can bloke more attack if if i shape the barrier differently using more funnel when they do grouped shot.' kshatriya processing power came to bear as the funnel moved with precision and efficiency, dancing in the air and blocking beam after beam.

'they are spreading their shot!' she moved and blocked beam herself by focusing the i-field barrier on her wing and deflecting the beam instead of blocking them, her funnel also started doing so in a way to spare energy.

"dammit how long has it been?!"

-12 minutes kshatriya, energy level at 37%.

"luna please tell me your done soon, i am running out of juice over here."

'while i can regenerate my energy level pretty fast, its only if i does absolutely nothing and even then it will take more than an hour to do so with how much i already spent, it may seem as nothing but an hours when you have as much to do as i is a pretty big deal, i have the gafran of spike to repair, my new long range weapon to make, the girls gundam where certainly damaged so i will have to help with the repair, i also have the MS of celestia to update and the plating of gundanium to make out of the old army of equestrian alloy for the girls gundam to truly become gundam! god dammit lets get this fucking mission over with already!'

"kshatriya bertigo here, i have reached the gate, the other and i are going to go through soon, we are waiting for you do rejoin us."

"got it i'm moving toward you now. hacks full power on thruster!"

her thruster trail grew bigger as she recalled all her funnel and moved upward toward the city, she ignored the sound of the beam from the daybreak now slamming into the city foundation and rushed for the gate inside the mountain, even if the city collapsed this gate would remain stable enough for her to cross it.

in barely 8 minutes she was going through the window she had opened and could already see the whole gundam team,luna was pulling a platform with wheel on which a MS was hidden under a white cover with a sun emblazoned on it.

"ok i'm here, let's get out of here and close the portal."

"we won't be closing them. we'll just cut the magic influx."said luna.

kshatriya mentally furrowed her brow,"didn't you said the portal would go unstable if they ran out of energy?"

"yes we did, but it's what me and my sister meant when recycling it, the changling are not going to stop firing at the city until we are gone but once we are they will instead retake it, they invested too much in it to destroy it for nothing but the show."

"and when they do the gate will be about to collapse!"said pinkie in cheer.

"so how do you found my plan?"kshatriya turned to the gate and saw twilight on a jeep with a earpieces to speak on the channel. she had a smug smile and her eye glowered.

"vicious and deviant, but after today i can safely say none of us has all the light on up there."

the shenlong put a hand its chest in false hurt,"excuse me?! i have shown no sign of mental illness today thank you very much!"

'you i was aware of it the moment i presented the shenlong to you.'kshatriya thought but decided not to tell.

"anyway, proud comrade, dear friends, this mission is for me a success, let us leave and rejoice!"luna said before passing through the gate followed by everyone, with kshatriya having to contort herself and enter sidway.

"kshatriya?"the voice of celestia spoke on the channel,"i have someone to present you later today, after you and luna were gone, the retrieval team brought back something special, it seem that among the broken and inoperational unit a prototype was left active, its not really broken anymore, it also renamed itself freelock."

'can't i have one break? just one break?'

-i don't know why but i am impatient to meet this freelock...

Author's Note

done, this "chapter" was way longer than i thought it would be, it already is cut into at least three. fight take a lot of words to look good and detailed enough, i'll have to take that into account in the latter chapter but i want to keep publishing at least a chapter a week to stay in the roll,

on a different note, since the start of this "chapter" (maybe i should call it an arc?) we have seen two of the new character, raw le cricket, based on rau le creuset but younger(19) its the one i placed because i only got two oc. but also freelock who is an oc from ironwar, i also got another oc, from an IRL friend this time, this oc will join us later on (i seem to be bad at predicting chapter length so i won't say next chapter.) and the last two are the ones i already had chosen and while i cannot tell you their names i will tell you this, raw le cricket isn't the only character to be a gundam inspired character.
