Fragile Hearted Betrayal

The alarm clock in SonicBoom's room erupted with a noise that could have woken up all of Cloudsdale. He decided to try to fall back asleep, but there was a feel of cold metal, he romeved the sheet finding a knife lying there. It was blood spattered, Some of it being his own. He flew out of bed, Only finding that his wings had been siezed. Then Darkness, the sensation of falling, then nothing. Screaming, SonicBoom awoke. "Can you please just shut up?" Asked Dreamer, his roomate. "Sorry" SonicBoom said "Just Another bad dream."He continued. Dreamer got up and tossed a bag to SonicBoom. "What is this for?" SonicBoom asked. "Well, we are picking up suits for the Gala. Also, take this". Dreamer said as she handed SonicBoom a metal stick."No,no,no. I woke him up yesterday, your turn." SonicBoom said, in a whining voice. "Even so, Rarity is doing my mane today." Dreamer said. "Only you would go all the way to Ponyville just to have your hair styled." SonicBoom said as he was trying to put the metal rod in his backpack. SonicBoom trotted down the hallway to the door at the end and entered. The sheets were rising and falling at a steady pace, the blinds were were closed, only small portions of light filtering through onto the sheets. SonicBoom pulled out the metal rod and pointed it at the sheets. As soon as the rod hit the sheet, The figure underneath erupted in a rage. "Jeez Sco, you are in a good mood today" said SonicBoom(Sco was actually in a good mood, usually the blinds were covering broken windows from Sco's wakeups) "Ughhh, what day is it, did I sleep in, did I miss the Gala?" Said Sco frantically. "No SconeScoop Today is the Gala." Said SonicBoom, laughing as he said Sco's full name. "Just le- TODAY?!" Sco exclaimed, messing up his yellow mane with Dreamer's brush. "I told you, not to go to that party with Rainbow last night." SonicBoom said. "Blah..blah..blah" Sco said, rolling his eyes. "Hey, while I am out, do you need anything?" SonicBoom asked. "Could you pick me up some cupcakes?" Sco asked."Yeah I guess so" SonicBoom said bounding out of the door.

"Hey Pinkie, can you get me some cupcakes, for Sco?" Sco said not even in Sugarcube corner yet. "Yeah-oh-wait-watch-I-am-a-butterfly" Said Pinkie as she put two boxes of cupcakes in her hooves and flailed around madly, making a mess. "Umm-sorry-about-that-here-are-your-cupcakes-on-the-house" Pinkie said. "Gah-Gummy-NO!" Pinkie said as her alligator dropped from the ceiling, removing the frosting from her mane. SonicBoom flew over to Rarity's to pick up the clothes for the Gala. "Hey-uh Soni, how did Sco wake up today, did he do that to your face, I-I mean the frosting." Spike said, carrying a few objects. "No, Pinkie did this." SonicBoom replied. "Lot on her mind?" Spike asked. "No, she was well being, uh... the only description would be..well..Pinkie i guess." SonicBoom answered. "Just please go get Rarity for me, ok Spike?" "Okay" Spike said. "Ahh here for your clothes, SonicBoom?" Rarity asked "Sco, and Dreamer's as well." SonicBoom replied. "Okay, and tell Sco to not touch this until the Gala, he would most likely ruin my hard work." Rarity said with a serious tone. "Tell Dreamer to wake Sco from his nap." SonicBoom chuckled.

"Hey Sco, Rarity frogot your frills."SonicBoom said. "Oh no what ever shall I do?" Sco said in his usual sarcastic voice. "I'm telling you, you need to get someone to go
with." he continued "I could get one of Rainbow Dash's friends". "Nah, am probably going with Dreamer." SonicBoom said. "Phh, she already has a colt that she is going with." Sco said "B-bu-but s-sh-she pr-promised" SonicBoom managed to get out of his mouth before passing out.

SonicBoom went straight to bed, almost not bothering to go to the Gala. Sco had to convince him to go. But SonicBoom did not wear the nice clothes that Rarity had made. Instead he wore his hooded cloak. On the way there Sco had swore that SonicBoom would mutter random things, chuckle and smile at random times. On the way in SonicBoom left when Sco pointed out Dreamer and the colt that she was with. Then Sco saw SonicBoom pullng a knife out of his cloak. It was as if SonicBooms words were as clear as if he was right there; "How dare you, I loved you, you promised that you'd go with me, but in breaking that promise, you broke my heart." He drew up his knife and on the downswing a blur passed in front of him then a rainbow trail. Another blur, followed by a trail of slight snow. The rainbow blur stopped, revealing Rainbow Dash, the snow blur revealed Sco. "We cannot let this happen" they said in unison. The entire Gala centered attention to the cloaked colt. SonicBoom made use of the gasps as a distraction and pounced on Dreamer. With tears dripping from his face, he looked down on the startled pony. "Shhh" SonicBoom said as he put his free hoof on his muzzle. "There will be peace soon enough" he said. The knife swung up in its arc and plunged downward, but not into Dreamer, SonicBoom had stabbed himself. As he stood back up, knife still in his chest he realized his dreams meaning. "Is this what you wanted?" he screamed at Dreamer, tears flowing from his eyes. "For me to do this, I trusted you, I loved you and you just let this happen to me, you are really a sick fiend" he said, words flowing almost as fast as his tears. He was eventually just having his words run together and he then blacked out.
