The warm sunlight shone through the tightly sealed window, a thin layer of black hardened slime keeping it shut while allowing a small portion of light to filter through and illuminate the room. The dim light ran through the black velvety carpet that decorated the wooden floor of the room, slowly stalking its prey. The sun was almost halfway through the horizon, it’s light reaching the base of a cradle-like bed, nearing reaching its target. Slowly, the light crept up the bed and unto dark red sheets, slightly heating up the who laid beneath it, that groaned and shifted to its side.

Finally, the light reached the sleeping eyes of a changeling queen, and not just any queen. Her name was Arch Queen Ecstasy from the Eratyrus hive, one of the Shade Queens. Moaning from the assault, she ignited her horn, pulling the sheets away as she sat up straight. Her mind still half asleep, she rubbed her eyes with her black, chitinous hoof, her back legs dangling from her hardened slime bed.

She let out a deep yawn, a thin needle coming out from the middle of her long, bifurcated tongue. She jumped out of bed, slowly running her hooves on the velvet carpet, a jolt of pleasure running through her spine from the tingling sensation. With another yawn, she distanced her front legs and began to stretch her back, raising her voluptuous plot high into the air. The sun shone directly into her blood red carapace and into her fluttering wings, reflecting an iridescent color on the darker side of her room.

Now leaning forward, she proceeded stretching her back legs. This was her most important morning ritual,as if she were to ever skip it, she would be sore and grumpy for the remainder of the day. Besides, she loved the pleasurable sensation of feeling every single muscle of her legs and back stretching to their limits. She swished her tail unconsciously at the thought, a moan of pleasure and satisfaction escaping her mouth as she finished her stretching.

Now fully awake, she stood in front of a big mirror that was glued to the wall by hardened slime. Inspecting herself, she ran a comb through her wavy, crimson mane and tail, while fixing her crown with her hooves, a thorny red rose with the pearl-like receptor in its middle.

As she did the final touches on her mane and tail, she took a moment to appreciate the pictures that she had in the corners of the mirror. They were various photos that she took with all of her sisters when they woke up from their long slumber. She even had a photo with her elder sisters, the first daughters. She smiled and placed the comb back to its place.

As she was about to leave her room and go to the bathroom, she stopped to check her calendar that hung beside her door. The calendar had sexy photos of multiple creatures, making it a bit distracting, but not even that could distract her from noticing a big red circle marking the calendar, a big ‘Inauguration!!!’ note written beside it.

Her eyes shot open in surprise. “It’s today!” she squealed, dashing down the corridor. On her way to the bathroom, she ran past a tiny white bat pony, no taller than a filly. She had a deep blue mane, tail, and wings. A cutie mark of a full moon decorated her flanks.

“I prepared the bath for you. Don’t forget to drain the water after you jump out of the tub!” the little pony said. She was small even for Bat Pony standards, who were already smaller than other ponies. But even though she had the size and appearance of a filly, she was a full grown mare.

“Thank you, Moon Glow! Have a good sleep!” Ecstasy said, opening the bathroom door with her crimson magic aura and slipped right in. The bathroom was very spacious in both size and height, as it had to be to comfortably accommodate the resident Dragoness. The bathtub looked more like a small pool to the Queen. The tub was carved from a single monolithic piece of stone, courtesy of the resident Diamond Dog. It had a built-in fire gem that heated the stone, helping to maintain the water’s nice temperature.

Ecstasy skidded to a halt on the fine wooden floor of the bathroom, a gift from her deer friend from the Everfree Forest. She quickly fetched her toothbrush and paste from a cabinet beneath a giant crystal shard that functioned as a mirror and entered the tub. She began to carefully brush her teeth and her tongue-needle while she waited for the warm water to penetrate her armored chitin.

That was one of the things that annoyed her the most about being a changeling. If distressed, the changeling’s exoskeleton hardens to protect its squishy insides, making it harder for her to appreciate her wonderful bath. But, sure enough, her tough chitin eventually gave in to the pleasurable sensation of the water, allowing it to seep in.

“Hmmm~.” Ecstasy moaned softly, leaning slightly against the tub’s edge, closing her eyes to really soak in the feeling. She unconsciously held the toothbrush in place within her mouth and began bobbing her head slowly on it, brushing the inside of her cheeks.

She shook her head vigorously, it was no time to doze off! Reluctantly getting out of the tub, she unplugged the tub and let it drain as requested. Returning her brush to its place, she headed down to the kitchen. Just like the majority of the rooms, the kitchen was also scaled to fit her staff comfortably.

At the center of the kitchen was a large wooden round table. Sixteen chairs sat around it with sixteen plates filled with food in front of each one. Ecstasy circled the table until she found her favorite breakfast, buttered toast and honeyed warm milk. She pulled the chair and sat down, taking a big bite out of one of the toasts. Changelings didn’t receive any sustenance from food, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t bask on its wonderful flavors! Besides, she could taste a tinge of care put into it, more than enough to sate her morning needs. Appreciating her food, she noticed a small note under her glass of milk. Picking it up with her magic, a message read; “Already woke up the others. Have a nice day!” with a dubious looking winky face drawn next to it.

Mother bless you, Moon, the Queen thought, finishing her food. After cleaning her dishes, she lit up her horn, summoning crimson flames around her. The flames slowly descended the length of her body, leaving a gorgeous crimson red dress in their wake. The dress was open on the back all the way down to the dock of her tail. It was tightly strapped around her barrel and neck, appearing almost as a natural extension of her crimson carapace. The dress showcased her form nicely, accentuating her curves and flowing all the way down almost to her back leg hooves. Even though the Queen preferred her birthday suit, she had to show some decency when going out in the city, she was in Canterlot after all. Besides, the dress seemed enticing enough, it sure would draw in a lot of clients!

She let out a heavy sight and puffed up her chest. That was it, it was time to finally open her shop!

She walked to the living room and opened the front door, basking on the ringing of the doorbell as it rang officially for the first time.

Now, let me introduce you to the statistics, shall we?

For now, there are only 2 stats that you'll need to worry about; Bank, and Fame!

Bank is the amount of bits that the shop has. For the moment, the shop has a base bank of 500 bits, but it consumes 100 bits per day for daily expenses, so you need to make sure there's enough income to make the business sustainable!

Fame is how well know the shop is, the greater the fame the better the clientele, and thus, the greater income! Most of the choices you'll meet along the way will have a balance reward between bits or fame, and it will be your job to decide which is more important at the moment.

Now, don't get that comfy just yet! As the shop expands into other businesses, the more resources and statistics you'll have to manage! (as well as increased daily upkeep).

Enough with the numbers stuff, it's time to go out and find those customers!
