Hello my name is Shining Armour and i'm going to tell it to you straight, my family is not your run of the mill average

family. My father Night Light seems ordinary, but he's truly from a long line family of vampires, but you might call them

aunts and uncles, but the oldest are the elders of the family. They make the rules and whats said is done to the upmost

efficiency. My mother Twilight Velvet is a werewolf, and a large pack or family as well. There's two types within the pack

Alphas who are more the leader and strongly built, both mind and body. Then the Omegas or grunts as you would say, the

smaller wolves and used to scout, sniff and report back the the head alphas. As far as I go i'm relatively normal, other then

just being stronger than the normal guard, but enough about the "old" news and to something more ongoing event being

that my mother is pregnant, for about 8 months now, and with a filly. Although the elders were fine with me they don't

seem pleased about my soon to be baby sister. Vampires tend to be thestrals, a look a like to pegasi but leather wings, but

my father is a unicorn. My mother is also unicorn, but werewolves tend to be more around earth ponies then the other two.

I am a unicorn since they both are as well.

/to the last month of the pregnancy/

"How are you feeling hunny?"Night Light asked.

"Like i'm about to explode, i need this to finish up quickly or else i'm gonna go crazy."

"Well that's debatable." mumbled her husband

"Did you say something Night Light?"

"Oh-uhhh-no, no I didn't sweetheart."

"Night Light I've been married to you for Celestia knows how long, do you not think whether or not i heard you say

something or not."

"Sigh-yes my dear." He said in defeat

*just then shining walks in*"hey i'm home from school."

"Hey sport how was school"*patting him on the head*

"Alright dad, how was your day?"

"Busy taking care of your mother, it is the final stretch before the delivery is due, by the way when is the estimated time for
the delivery dear?"

"The doctor said it would be closer to the end of the month, maybe a week before the month ends, I hope so cause i don't want these mourning sickness and food cravings to end I haven't had a good steak in a while."

"Well your next scheduled sonogram is next week then it's just the wait for the new addition."

"So Shining how do you feel about being a soon to be big brother?" asked Night Light.

"It feels weird, i'm used to looking after myself with certain things, now i'll have to look after someone else."

*Twilight Velvet gets up slowly and walks over to him*"I know you'll do fine sweety, plus you have me and your father doing most of the work, you'll just look after her when we're out of the house."
just then then theres knocking on the door

*Night Light gets up*"i'll get that"*walks over*"who is it?"

*other side of the door*"it's me my boy."

*gulp*"OK come on in father"*opens the door*

"Thank you my boy, so how has everyone been?"

"Alright, or at least as good as a 9 month pregnant women can be."

"Well if i remember correctly its almost over isn't it?"

"That"s right grandpa the end of this month is the due date."

"Ah, how is my favorite grandson doing?"

"Alright, school is going OK as well."

"That's good that's good, now son can I talk to you in private?"

"Sigh-yes father"*follows him upstairs*

"Mom is this about the baby?"

"I don't know sweety, I don't know."

*my parent's and relatives might not know, but i know more things about the the "behind the scenes" information then i let
on*"well, what's for supper mom?"

"Your favorite!"

"Yay!"

*upstairs*

"Are you nuts!?"Said Night Light.

"No that is what the elders have said, and there word is law within the family, and you know that Night Light."

"Sigh-yes, yes i do, but that seems drastic for everyone else in the family."

"Well it is either that or worse, the best is to make an adoption plan, for your sake personally open, but it needs to happen
even if it is a closed adoption my boy."

*Night Light doesn't respond*

"What are you thinking my boy?"

"I don't want to do this, no father wants to do this to his family."

"Son...it's not about WANTING to do this you NEED to do this, or else the elders take it into their own hands, and we both don't want that."

"Yes-that is correct, is there a time range or is it immediate?"

"I haven't heard that yet, and don't be surprised to see them the day of the delivery."

"I won't be, and i won't be with her side either."

"Alright that's all I wanted to do, talk about that with you and a warm welcome at my son's home. I'll see you at the delivery day."

"Yep see you then father."

Weeks later to the delivery

"Alright Miss Velvet I just need you to push!"

"I AM SHUT UP!"

"Alright your doing good, just a few more Miss Velvet."

*after a few more the baby has been delivered, but to the relatives surprise at that*

"W-What is that-that thing!" One relative said.

"What it IS, is a taboo, hybrid, something that shouldn't exist."

*in Twilight Velvet's room in the hospital*

"Isn't she precious Nighty?"

"Yes yes she is, but I never though that she would look like this."

"Well that's what makes her unique, and what do you think Shining?"

"I think she looks amazing.

*just then theres a knock on the door*

"Come in!" Says Twilight Velvet.

"Hello there daughter, how are you feeling?"

"Exhausted beyond belief."

(chuckles)"yes your mother said the exact same thing when she had you, but now onto more pressing matters."

"oh no."

"Yes as much as me and your husbands parents agree with you two the elders words are law within the families."

*Shining steps forward*"Well what does that mean for my little sister?"

"It-it means that the elders have chosen with a unanimous decision for you two to give the poor filly away to someone or someplace else.,,i'm sorry I really wish it didn't have to come to this."

*Night Light stands up*"so how long until we have to give Twilight away?"

"W-wait Nighty dear, did you just say Twilight?"

"Yes, Yes i did, it appears the name you gave has stuck with me."

"And what name did you two decide?"

*Twilight Velvet looked up with tears running down her cheeks*"Twilight Sparkle is what we chose."

"Ah keeping after the family name and also integrating your husbands side as well i see."

"Yeah dad, keeping up the creativity i got from you after all these years."

"So you have, but now back to business, you have a week and a half to find a location for young Twilight or else the elders in
both families will take matters into their hands, and Celestia forbid that."

"Yes father we will try to find a good place for her."

"That is all I ask, I would never forgive myself if I chose a place and for her to get harmed."

"Well, Velvet dear, we should let you rest and come back tomorrow with some places here in Canterlot for us to give her to."

"Yes, that sounds like a good idea, Shining sweety behave for your father alright."

"Yes mom I will."

*all three walk out*

"My oh my my dear Twilight what should we do for you in these hard times"
