Saddle Song the Singing Cowpony

Seeing Stars

Previous Chapter

The words, "The End," appeared across the screen. The red curtain closed and everypony applauded and gave a standing ovation. Saddle Song, Gray, Prairie Belle, Spurs, and Silver Sage gathered at the front of the house.

"Thank you, everypony," said Silver Sage. "Thank you all." The audience settled down. "We hope you've all enjoyed our picture. As long as there're stories to tell and you want to hear 'em, we'll keep makin' 'em!" The attendees cheered. Silver Sage turned his attention to Saddle Song. "Saddle Song, we've got something special for you."

The Singing Cowpony gave a shy smile. "Shucks! What is it?"

"On behalf of the Applewood Academy, we would like to present you, Saddle Song the Singing Cowpony, with your very own star on the Applewood Trot of Fame. Congratulations, pardner!"

"Golly! I dunno what to say." Saddle Song was almost speechless. "This really means so much to me. Ya know I wouldn't be here right now if it weren't for my parents, Line Rider and Blue Bonnet, my mentor, Troubadour, my pardner, Gray, and Silver Sage for givin' me a shot at the movies. I can't thank y'all enough!"

At the ceremony on the Trot of Fame, Saddle Song's star was unveiled. Line Rider, Blue Bonnet, and Troubadour were there, as were Gray, Prairie Belle, and Roo Buckaroo, and The Foals of the Frontier. Yippie-Yi Yokel covered everything live on his FIM Radio show.

"So, Saddle Song, how does it feel to have a star on the Trot of Fame?" Yippie-Yi Yokel asked.

"It's a mighty fine achievement," Saddle Song replied. "It's a great honor to have a star on the Trot of Fame among so many legends."

"What's next fer ya? Any new pictures? New music?"

"Well, I've been planning on opening a new studio for where we can shoot our pictures. It's called Friendship Ranch and it'll be the setting of my next film. I've also got a few new tunes I've been working with Gray on, but right now I'm gonna be headin' home for our annual Dodge Junction Days Fair. It's a lotta fun! Come by next month. We've got music, storytellin', dress-up and games. It's always a hoot and a holler!"

"Y'all heard it here, folks! Git yer best cowpony duds on and enjoy the fun and games next month at this year's Dodge Junction Days Fair. And y'all heard it from Saddle Song, too. It ain't just a hoot, it's also a holler!"

"See you there, friends!"
