A Fight Between Friends

The front doors slid open as Rainbow Dash walked out. The sun blinded her like she hasn't seen it in a while. To think of it, she hasn't. It's been 3 days since she was cooped up in that hospital. Her head and nose hurt like hell, like pouring salt in a wound. It felt like some pony hit her in the head with a baseball bat. Technically, that did happen. The doctors informed her to not fly too high because the altitude will cause her head to ache. Flying too fast will do the same. Everyday while she was cooped up in Ponyville General, she wondered how she got there. The last pony she remembered she saw was Twilight before she passed out. Maybe she had some answers. She started flapping her wings only to realize what the doctors said. She didn't want to walk. She was going to try to fly fast but not too fast. Just fast enough for her to not take forever to get there. She started flapping her wings, this time taking off.

Twilight was sitting down at her desk, reading a book when she heard a knock on the door. She didn't think is was important. She thought it was another salespony trying to sell something she didn't want or maybe it was Celestia's Witnesses. Her thoughts were cut off when the knocking turned into a banging. She groaned and got up from the stool she was sitting on. "Who in the name of Celestia is knocking on my door?" Twilight said to herself as she was walking down the stairs from her reading room. She didn't understand why Spike didn't answer the door. She opened the door to see the cyan pegasus. "Hey Rainbow. What brings you here?" Twilight questioned.

"Yeah. I got a question. So, the last pony I saw before I passed out was you, right? I know this might be a stupid question and it might be blatantly obvious the more I think about it but, the question is, did you carry me to the hospital?"

"Yes."

"By yourself?"

"Yes."

"Wow. You may not look like it, but you're a pretty strong mare." said Rainbow, slightly amazed.

"Well, it's not like it's my first time carrying you somewhere." Twilight said, ignoring the fact that Rainbow just insulted her.

"What do you mean?"

When we go drinking together, I would always carry you back home."

"How? You don't even have wings."

"Hot air balloon."

"Oh." Rainbow said. "I thought it would be some other pony like Soarin. I always saw him there."

"Nope. It was always me."

"Okay, look. There was another reason why I wanted to come see you. I shouldn't tell you this because you are the type of pony who would flip out hearing this but, you are probably wondering why I was knocked out and bleeding. Well, it was because... Applejack... well... beat me up. She punched me in the nose and then I hit my head on the wall."
