Equestria, 65,000,000 years later

We see the Museum of Natural Equestrian History, back in the previous story (to be posted at a later date). We see Dr. Sentry, world renowned paleontologist and father of Flash Sentry, was currently giving some Equestria's newest allies, the Disney Heroes. Currently, he was giving the heroes Princess Sofia, Simba, Pocahontas, Belle, Quasimodo, and Rapunzel a tour of the museum.

"And here, great heroes, is what I personally consider to be the crowning jewel of the museum," he told them, leading them into the next exhibition. "The Hall of Dinosaurs!"

As they entered, the heroes stood in awe at what they saw. There before them were some of the biggest dragon-like creatures they had ever seen in their lives. Well, the model bones of them, anyways.

"Whoa!" they said.

"You can all say that again," Dr. Sentry told them, feeling a sense of pride for impressing them.

"What are these things?" Sofia asked, staring at a *Velociraptor that was attacking a Protoceratops*.

"These, young princess, are creatures known as dinosaurs," Dr. Sentry replied. "They lived long before all civilizations, before you and me, even before Celestia and Luna."

"Well, if they were around all that time ago, where are they now?" Aladdin asked. "I'm just asking, because none have seen a single one while we've been here."

"Well, young man, the dinosaurs have been extinct for at least 65,000,000 years now," Dr. Sentry replied.

"What?!" the group exclaimed in shock.

"Inside voices, please, this is a museum after all," a janitor pony that looked suspiciously like Scruffy from Futurama.

"Sorry, but what caused them to go extinct?" Quasi asked.

"My dear boy, nopony truly knows," Dr. Sentry replied.

"This is all very interesting," Belle whispered to Rapunzel, who simply chuckled at her friend's fascination.

"Nopony was around to record what happened," Dr. Sentry continued. "It could've been an asteroid, the temperature could've dropped or rose drastically, the largest volcano in the world could've gone off and covered much of the world in smoke, ash, soot, fire, and lava, an earthquake destroyed all their food leaving them to starve, or the sea levels rose so high that it flooded the world and drowned them all. The theories vary, some being plausible, some plain out ridiculous. All anyone knows is that they are extinct, but nopony knows how. And unless time travel becomes a common thing around here, the world will never know."

Unknown to the group, Discord had been watching them, listening to everything that was said. He appeared conflicted, wondering about something.

Should I add him into the fold?, he thought. Perhaps, but he might get so excited that he accidentally spills the beans. But I'll have to take that chance.

Discord approached the group, an urgent look on his face.

"Um, Dr. Sentry, may I borrow you for a moment?" Discord asked. "There is something urgent that I must inform both you, Sun-Butt, and Moon-Butt of. At once."

"Very well," Dr. Sentry replied, turning to the janitor. "Scruffy, can you take over till another tour guide comes along."

"Scruffy ain't got nothing better to do for a while, sir," the janitor, now known as Scruffy, acknowledged.

Dr. Sentry followed Discord into a dark room, where Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were waiting. After closing the door, Discord made sure no creature could see or hear them, before making sure all hidden cameras were off.

"Alright, now what is it you wanted to tell us, Discord?" Luna demanded. "Me and Celestia have a very important meeting to attend in a few hours."

"Everything you know about the dinosaurs is false," Discord told them, holding a straight face.

"You have more information about them?" Dr. Sentry asked excitedly.

"I have all the information about them," Discord replied.

"I'm sorry, Discord, but in what way is information about dinosaurs important to us?" Celestia asked skeptically.

"Take my arm, and I will show you," Discord replied, holding out his arm.

One by one, the three reluctantly took his arm. Discord then teleported them to the abandoned caverns of Canterlot, in front of a large machine.

"What the heck is this thing?" Dr. Sentry asked.

"This, my doctor friend, is a generator," Discord replied. "The most powerful of them all in all of Equus."

"Ok, but where are we?" Celestia asked.

"Under the mountain of Canterlot, in the old abandoned caverns," Discord replied casually.

"What?!" the trio exclaimed.

"But how did anypony never notice this was here?!" Luna exclaimed.

"Simple, I spelled this place so no creature would ever find it," Discord replied.

"Well, what is it for, then?" Dr. Sentry asked, jotting down notes.

"#1, this is entirely off the record for a reason, so no taking notes lest some creatures finds them, doctor," Discord said, swiping the notepad and burning it with his magic, making the paleontologist pout a little. "#2, it is connected to the fence that surrounds the darkest part of the Everfree, and holds up the invisible barrier there as well."

"The fence and the barrier?" Celestia said in shock, her brain piecing the puzzle pieces together. "Discord, what lies within that place?"

"Do you wish to see?" Discord asked. "If you do, then you must never speak of it, unless absolutely necessary. Am I clear?"

The trio nodded.

"Then swear it," Discord commanded.

He then used his magic to draw a circle in the ground. Celestia stepped into the circle first, making it glow like the sun.

"I, Celestia, Princess of Equestria, eldest daughter of Faust, Guardian of the Sun, do hereby swear upon all the gods and goddesses to you, Discord, Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony, to not reveal what I am about to lay witness to to any creature."

The circle glowed brighter, leaving a brand upon her heart. Celestia stepped out of the circle, allowing Luna to step in next.

"I, Luna, Princess of Equestria, youngest daughter of Faust, Guardian of the Moon, do hereby swear upon all the gods and goddesses to you, Discord, Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony, to not reveal what I am about to lay witness to to any creature."

The circle glowed brighter again, leaving a brand upon her heart. Luna stepped out of the circle, allowing Dr. Sentry to finally step in.

"I, Dr. Paleo Sentry, paleontologist and father of Flash Sentry, son of Professor Archeol Sentry, curator of the Museum of National Equestrian History, do hereby swear upon all the gods and goddesses to you, Discord, Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony, to not reveal what I am about to lay witness to to any creature."

The circle glowed brighter one final time, leaving a brand upon his heart. After he stepped out of the circle, it finally faded into nothingness. Discord snapped his fingers, teleporting all four of them to the inside of the Darkest Part of the Everfree. And what they saw astonished them beyond all measure.
