Shining Armour eyed the shops thoughtfully as he walked down the dim street.
I need to find the perfect present for Cadence, our first anniversary needs to be remembered.
Shining Armour sighed. He had been searching the shops for hours and still not found anything he thought would be right. His belly growled. He hadn't eaten since lunch and that had only been a quick snack.
May as well try and find somewhere to eat.
A bright flashing light caught his attention. ''The Roasted Dandelion'', read the sign. It seemed to be the only place nearby and it said it had live music. Live music was always good. Shining Armour opened the wooden door and walked in. It slammed shut behind him. Music boomed in his ears, it was loud but catchy.
Shining Armour settled down at a table with his food in front. He licked his lips.
"Introducing the pony with the voice you all love, a pony who lives in the spotlight, it is....... Limelight!" The announcing pony shouted out.
Cheers rose out from the crowd and hoof steps echoed onto the stage at the front. Shining Armour didn't care about this new pony, it was just another singer. He was just about to take a bite of his food when he had to look at the pony on the stage. His head jerked up and his eyes focused on her. So this was the amazing Limelight. She really was amazing. Amazingly amazing. Shining Armour watched her in awe, eyes round as saucers. He sighed in bliss. His food lay untouched in front of him. Limelight finished her song and gave a giggle.
"I hope y'all enjoyed that,"Limelight said, giggling."Because I'm going to sing it again!"
Shining Armour's tummy gave him a painful jolt and he jumped. He frowned. He could hear Limelight in the background. She wasn't a very good singer at all. What on equestria had made him think she was amazing,let alone amazingly amazing? He downed his food and was about to get up to leave when the music changed. It was some proper music this time.
Shining Armour was walking away from The Roasted Dandelion when he heard someone calling him. He turned around.
A bouncing pony was galloping towards him. The pony stopped and gasped for breath. Shining Armour narrowed his eyes in recognition, it was Limelight.
"I...I-I am sorry to stop you,"Limelight said timidly."But I was wondering...are you Shining Armour?"
"Yes I am,"Shining Armour replied.He hadn't really thought anyone would notice him,let alone recognize him and come after him.
"As in, the shining armour? The Married-to-a-Princess-so-you-are-a-Prince Shining Armour?" She squealed.
"Yes,that's me." Shining Armour turned to leave when he felt an urge to turn back. He twisted around to look at Limelight again.
"Oh goody," Limelight said,smirking."Why don't you come with me?" Shining Armour nodded, transfixed on her, and obediently trotted after her.
