It had been a month since we defeated Shadow Pony and Sunset Shimmer managed to recover the memories of her friends, peace reigned in both dimensions, I was proud of her and the achievements we had achieved with my friends.

I was reading a pony history book, it was good to start reading after so much time that I was very stressed by several things that happened to me, page by page I was reading.When turning a page (about to finish the book), a page that was of a different color fell, it was gray, seeing it did not understand anything of what it said because it was in a language totally foreign to me, so I started to check the other books he had brought to see if it belonged to any.

I had been trying to find it for a long time but it was all in vain, it was not one of the books I had brought, nor did it look like an old pony language, I did not know what it was.

"Twilight what are you doing? "

I gave a jump of fright, I did not find out when Starlight entered."Hey the next one, let me know when you're going to enter."

"I'm sorry, but note that you're very interested in that book, what is it about?" she said; she was confused looking to the page, this was more important.

I thought no more and decided to pass the gray page to Starlight to see if he understood something of what he said.

"Starlight do you understand something?"I asked approaching her.
By his expression I saw that not "Twilight, it's page, where did you find it? "

"In the middle of two books that I picked up from ..." I was thoughtful because I assumed that this sheet should be from a book in the restricted section of Canterlot.

"And, what books do you speak to me, where did you pick them up from?"I ask myself, looking a little more intrigued about the origin of the page.

"It's from the secret section of the Canterlot library," I replied. Starlight turned her head, and I assumed she did not understand what I said, since she did not know that place "it's a place that Princess Celestia taught me, to help Sunset Shimmer"

"And what about if we both go to investigate a bit the restricted part of the Canterlot library" Starlight said "if it appeared in one of those books ... I guess we should find where it comes from"

I nodded and showed him a smile of emotion "It's okay, let's go"
I did not know if we would find it, so I decided to go only with Starlight, since I did not want my friends to get involved is this.

When we arrived at the Canterlot library, it was very crowded (which was weird since I did not see many ponies reading).

"We should wait until everyone leaves to be able to enter the secret place of the library without other ponies looking at us," I told Starlight. She just nodded at what I said.

We waited until nightfall, meanwhile I had been checking other books to see if there was anything of the sheet, and as I guessed, there was nothing.
When the last pony left, we went to the back of the library where we pulled the two books that opened the secret compartment; Starlight did not look so impressed but when she reached the restricted section she was surprised by how many books there were.

She was observing how big the place was, me too since the last time I came here I could not see everything, I just wanted to help Sunset Shimmer.

Starlight left his things on a table, just like me. "We should start looking at what book this page belongs to, which apart is in a language I had never seen in another book" Starlight told me
"Very good idea Starlight, you search for the top part, and I will search in down , in order to occupy the largest amount of space"

"Very well" he replied "just let me know if you find something"
While Starlight was investigating the top part, I looked everywhere holding the books telekinetically from the shelves to see if there was any indication of where that gray page belonged that I was increasingly intrigued to know where it might have come from, since no book I had some clue about him.

The search continued, of rack to shelf but could not find anything, until I reached the end of the corridor and in the last shelf I could see that there was a small opening between the wall and the furniture, I looked at it, wrapping it with my magic I pulled it, the shelf fell, hit my side, and pushed me away from him, making me scream in fright and pain.

Starlight heard the sound of the shelf fall or maybe my scream of pain from the impact of this. "Twilight! You're good? What happened down there? "
I was in pain, luckily nothing serious happened.

"If I'm fine, a shelf broke down," I answered.

When I tried to put it in its place, I realized that behind it was a very small corridor where there was hardly entered a pony, and even it only entered if it crawled.

"Here is a small passage" I shouted to Starlight "was behind the shelf that fell, maybe here find something useful, I'll go investigate"

"Be careful Twilight" I listened to Starlight while I struggled to enter the corridor "and remember to let me know if you find something"

As I was entering I felt something strange, like that place did not belong to the library, since it felt very hot and at the same time cold, it was strange. When I reached the end of the corridor I found a small room, where I could barely enter another pony, and in the middle of the front wall where I came from I saw that there was a strange book, but there was nothing else. The book was completely black, it had no title, nor was it very thick, and it did not have so many pages. When I opened it and when I was leafing through it I realized that it was written in the same language as the page I had, so I took it with me, the strangest thing is that when I holding the book with my telekinesis, a tremendous shiver entered my body .

I went out and went to one of the tables and Starlight began to review the book, its contents were full of strange letters as if they were hieroglyphic, there was no author or evidence that someone wrote, I was confused I knew nothing about the book. When I reached the middle I noticed that it was missing a leaf, I think it was the torn leaf that I found.

Still I did not know how to translate it, it did not even work with my translation spell, I was confused because neither of us knew anything about the book or the page.

"But what kind of book is this !!, it seems that it did not belong to Equestria" I exclaimed a little angry.

Starlight looked surprised, but at the
same time confused, "That's impossible, do not you think, besides if it was not from Equestria it could be from somewhere outside of Equestria" said Starlight

"If so, how a book that was outside of Equestria would end up in this library, even kept in a hidden part behind a shelf, and no one except Luna and Celestia knew about this place," I replied to Starlight.She looked a little tired for the time we were looking for.

"I don't know, but we should take him to the castle to inspect him before dawn, do not you think?", Being tired, and somewhat hurt, I moved my head accepting what he said, apart from that we would be calmerwhen investigating the book.

It was better to go back to the castle because it was almost dawn and we did not want any pony guard to see us here, since no one else besides the two of us should know about the restricted area of the library, so wetook the book and others more than maybe we they can serve, we raised the shelving that fell down and we left, closing the library and avoiding the guards.

When we arrived at the castle we agreed not to inform our friends about the book we found, since I did not want them to get involved in this, Starlight and I will have to keep the secret until nightfall, since at that time we can investigate more thoroughly about the book, without Pink (especially) or any of our friends bothering us.

For me it was already normal that things like this will happen to me, but it is the first time I will try to solve this problem without my friends, I felt it was better not to tell them anything for reasons I do not understand, infact I do not know if it will be a friendship problem but At least I'm getting Starlight's help and that was enough.

At dusk, when Princess Luna raised the beautiful moon to heaven, we waited for our friends to go home, but we forgot that Spike was here.

"Twilight you're not going to sleep," Spike told me in a soft voice, it must have been because he was very sleepy.

"No, I'll be in the library with Starlight for a few more hours and then I'll go to sleep" I answered.

"And what are you going to do in the library at this hour, is something wrong?"Spike asked.

I did not know what to answer, I was very nervous with fear of being discovered, since he was a bit talkative and could tell what we were doing to our friends (especially Rarity).

"No ... nothing happened, so ... we're just going to the library because ... I want to teach a new spell to Starlight," I said hesitantly.

In that moment when Starlight asked me that question I worried about where I put it, until a idea came to my mind."Oh no, I left it on the shelf in my room to keep our friends from seeing it" I put a helmet on my face, I did not know what to do I was worried that I had seen it, luckily Spike went to cleanup before going to sleep I carefully went to the room, I had to go through where Spike was cleaning up so I did go more quiet possible.

"Twilight, what do you do" I heard a voice behind me, again was between the sword and the wall, did not know to answer.

"This, I'm going to pick up a book that I forgot in my room," he was telling the truth, so I can not blame myself for lying to Spike again.

"And what book is it?" asked Spike. "it's one about spells, but I do not have time to talk, Starlight is waiting for me"

Spike started walking beside me and asked me "Until what time are you going to be with Starlight?"

I grabbed the book from my shelf and ran to where Starlight was.

We started looking for some spell which will help us with this strange language, reading the books I brought from Canterlot, but we did not find anything.

I was feeling helpless for not finding anything, until I raised my head and watched Starlight silently reading several books."Starlight, did you find anything?"

"And what are those spells?"I asked curiously.

I did not know what to say or which page to translate, but I was impressed that Starlight could have found those spells, at that moment I thought about the loose page that I found in some books.

"Starlight, and if we translate the page that had the broken part that we found?"I asked.

"I think it would be fine, it seems it was important, someone ripped it and put it in another book for a pony to find it, or so I think" she replied, she grabbed the two spells and wrote them apart giving me one to my ."All right let's do this," Starlight exclaimed, very sure of what she was doing.

We fired the spell at the gray page, the whole room was shining, the books in the library were shaking, even others were falling to the floor; but luckily, Spike continued sleeping.

When I opened my eyes I got up a little weak and went to the table, it worked, we were able to translate the sheet, happy to have achieved it, we saw that it was like a poem, it seemed to be a spell, so I started reading loudly so that Starlight also listened :

When we finished reading it, a loud noise was heard in one of the rooms of the castle, we did not know it was so we went to investigate. It turned out that it was the room where the mirror portal was but it had a very sharp change, the entire edge was dark green, the windows surrounding the portal were black, the pony above the portal had a malevolent shape and a smile that impelled fear; the only normal thing was the center of the mirror. I thought that the real portal will appear when the twelve crystals are activated as the page said.

We were surprised by the change that the portal had.

"But, what happened with the portal?, his change that he had suddenly is very strange," I was without anything else to say.

"Wait a minute" Starlight levitated the translated page "Here it says that you need three ponies with magic, I mean it refers to unicorns, to open the portal I saw the back of the sheet and read that there were three different spells to activate the portal , I think that's why he said that three unicorns were needed, and I think they should have advanced magic. She was right, I remembered that part when I pronounced it, but to whom we would turn to help us open the portal. I felt that something was driving me to open the portal, but I also felt that not everyone (especially my friends and Spike) could find out.

She turned to the portal and had a great impression when she saw how the portal was changed "WHAO good and what is the problem they have now ?, and why the portal is different?" Asked Sunset.

I looked at it and turned to read the sheet about the 3 spells that Starlight spoke to me "To begin with we found this sheet that belonged to a strange book," I said, showing her the book and began to review it, by her expression I knew she did not know either what language was that.

Sunset finished seeing the book "And you managed to know what it says?" Asked

"what I will do Twilight?, will not you have forgotten about me?" Starlight asked. And I had already forgotten about Starlight, I think the excitement of seeing Sunset distracted me a little.

"You're right we should prepare to go and mainly take the necessary resources to be there maybe one day, or if something interesting happens on the other side two days" I replied "let's get ready and rest a while, I'll see you tomorrow in the night"

"See you girls tomorrow, and do not forget to get ready, I'm kind of excited and I'll also tell my friends that I'm going to be absent so they do not worry when I do not show up" said Sunset.I could see her excited, I think by entering a new dimension or participate in some magic after so many years that she was out of Equestria, since in Canterlot High I guess it was not the same.

But Sunset was right, I guess we should talk to our friends so they do not worry either, especially Spike, I think he should not come as he did when he first joined me.

Later that night we set out to prepare our backpacks to take what I needed, so I took some apples, bottled water and some books to distract me, but I also brought the book I found in the Canterlot library to see if anyone in that place knew anything.

Then I got in touch while I was waiting for Starlight to arrive."Sunset is about time, we are ready"

After a long wait (approximately 15 to 20 minutes) I received a response from him

It was already midnight, and I was not sure this would work, they were very strange spells and I did not know how long that book had been there or with what purpose they wrote it.

We waited for a while Starlight and I while we watched as Sunset practiced the spell.After an hour, and many failed attempts, he managed to dominate it, so we went to activate the portal.

I approached the two "Sunset, Starlight are ready, you know your spells?" The two responded with nodding, so I stood in front of the portal, Sunset was on my left while Starlight on my right, I was not I knew if I was sure of what I was doing, but we would not go back.

"It's okay, we started firing our spells in three, two, one, now!"

We shot all at the same time towards the portal, we observed how the crystals were taking on a gray color, and the center of the mirror was changing. While I was throwing it felt like something was coming off inside me and that was causing me to run out of strength, I saw that Sunset was running out and it looked like it was going to fall to the ground, so I held her with my telekinesis, which made me tired more "you can do it Sunset, uses all your strength and we will activate the portal !! "

When I saw Starlight, I noticed that she was not running out as much as we did, until the last crystal was activated, and the pony that should have been above shone and disappeared, we had managed to activate the portal.

The mirror was no longer the same, it was in a dark green tone and everything else (except the top pony that disappeared) still had the same green tones as before.

The three of us were super exhausted, Sunset who felt more exhausted than us, I guess it was because she had not practiced before and that spell was difficult for her.I was very weak I felt they had drained all my energy and magic. Starlight looked exhausted, but not as much as me or Sunset.

When I saw the portal I knew that now it was impossible for Sunset to return to his world.

"We should rest before we enter the portal, it could be an overload on our bodies if we get into this condition, we'll better sleep and tomorrow very early we enter the portal," I said.

"It's okay but we'll go and we will not stay long, as you said we should be a day or two maximum, okay?" Said Sunset. I just nodded and looked at Starlight who also agreed.

We had already woken up a few moments ago, it was almost a little after six in the morning and we went to breakfast, taking advantage of the fact that Spike sleeps too much we did not tell him anything.

I approached Sunset and Starlight "now, what if we are going to find out what's on the other side of the portal?" I asked Starlight and Sunset.

"It's time to know what's on the other side," said Sunset.

We grabbed the provisions that we had enlisted for this trip

"Are you ready to go to another dimension?"I asked, with a smile in my face.

"of course!!" Starlight responded enthusiastically.

"Yes I'm ready," Sunset was already ready, so we grabbed the helmets because we did not know what was going to happen when we got there.

'I have the feeling that we are going to have an adventure very different from the previous ones' my mind told me.

I felt bad for not saying anything to my friends, but Spike would warn them of my absence and that partly calmed me down but I had in mind that we would not be long, I just said it was to go and see what that place wasand then we would go back.

Then we looked at each other, we began to move slowly to the portal, thousands of thoughts were running through my mind, and we entered a new dimension unknown to the three, with the fear of not knowing what we would find.
