Almost Abandoned

In 1983, Eddy was finished with teaching the school and got paid enough to bring his own school to life. When designing the school, he was always thinking about the other schools he's been when he was young. He thought about how tall they are, the way they're built and using perfect bricks.

Eddy said in an interview that he wanted the school to be perfect. He wanted to make the best school in Canterlot. He even mentioned being a teacher before and said how much he loved it and he couldn't wait to be both the teacher and the owner of Summer Class Home Of Our Legacy.

However, Eddy didn't want to waist any more time and was ready to start construction of the school in the same year. Due to Eddy wanting the school to be perfect, it took time to build the school. Day and night, they continued working without a break. Eddy's behavior was noticeably changing after he was helping out with construction. Even though the workers got water and other food supplies to feed themselves during their construction, Eddy refuses them to give them a break. One of the workers said Eddy can get a little annoyed if one work was stalling.

Construction actually took months to finish. Workers were growing more tired and they were getting ill. They weren't getting any sleep. They were getting more sick. It was reported that one worker died during construction. When everyone was getting worried, Eddy didn't bat an eye and told everyone that he will deal with it later and continue working.

When construction was close to being finished on January 3rd 1984, Eddy was growing more ecstatic to show off his own school to the public. Eddy already opened up a website to let people know about the new school. April 14, 1984, Summer Class Home Of Our Legacy was finally opened to the public at 8:56 AM.

When the website was open, people were aware about the new school. Eddy received a few messages about some students who wanted to visit the school.

The first student to visit was named, Sweetie Belle.

Sweetie Belle was 14 years old. She has a positive personality, she can be responsible and she like to collect flowers for her spare time. Sweetie Belle appreciated Eddy's personality and humor. She was happy to know he'll be her teacher. Eddy was also happy to meet Sweetie Belle.

Then another...

Megan Valley was a 16 year old farmer girl. She's energetic and resourceful. Megan thought Eddy was cool person to talk to. and was excited to be part of the school.

and another...

Firefly is a 15 year old tomboy. She's a fun person to talk to. Firefly also liked Eddy's jokes and his personality.

When they were given a tour, they were amazed because of how big the school is. The hallway was wide, the lunch cafeteria was the size of a backyard and the classrooms were shiny and clean. Sweetie Belle mentioned to Eddy she loved how hard he spent on the school. Eddy gives Sweetie Belle a handshake and gave the three of them a gift card.

The first day of school was a perfect start for them. The students were already liking each other's company and Eddy really enjoyed teaching them. This picture was taken that evening.

Things were actually working out for the school after the first day.

However...
