I'm one of the teachers of Summer Class Home Of Our Legacy, Sunset Shimmer. For a while, I haven't known the entire history about the school. When I first asked about the place when I first got the job, they only talked about how the original owner of the school wanted it to be "the best school ever made." I'll be honest, I was curious to know the entire story. One day, my sister messaged me and said she found out the entire story about the school for me. Boy, she had a LOT of information. She said it's alright if I'm able to share the history in public, so I thought I wanted to share what has happened to Summer Class Home Of Our Legacy throughout the years. To start this story, let's take a look behind the original owner of Summer Class Home Of Our Legacy, Eddy Merle. Eddy Merle On July 7th 1963, Eddy Merle was born. During his childhood, Eddy was a behaved kid. He followed the rules and he loved his family. His mom and dad took care of him until the end. For his 9th birthday, he wanted a book to read. Instead of a children's book, his dad got him a history book about schools. He became so fascinated, he said to his parents that when he grows up, he wants to be a teacher. His parents liked the idea of him being a teacher of a school. However, when Eddy mentioned an idea of him owning his own school, his parents were a little confused. They said owning a school can be difficult and he will face problems when owning a school, as well as being a teacher. Eddy understands, but he couldn't help but think it'll still be easy. During his first day of school, he was shocked to see the beautiful building of his first school. The school was tail, it was made wish smooth bricks, the glass windows and millions of students. He felt like he's ready. He loved his first day of school. Days and days later, he spent his time learning new things about running a school. Years later when he graduated, he is now more independent and own his new apartment. Leaving his parents was difficult for Eddy because of how much he spent time with them over the years. Starting college was new for him. He'd honestly thought he wouldn't have gone this far. During his college years, he sometimes mentioned to his new friends and even himself about being the owner of a school someday. He even had a name ready. He thought about being clever with the name and play with the name "school." Then the name of his soon-to-be school will be called "Summer Class Home Of Our Legacy." It's unknown what his life is like during college, but Eddy has mentioned he was happy in college. After graduation, he was ready to make his dream come true. He will become a teacher first, then be the owner of a new school of him. Eddy thinks it will be a piece of cake. In 1978, he was hired to be a teacher at a high school. His first time being a teacher was the best time of his life. He's now living in his dream he had when he was little. However, he had to wait to make his other dream come true. When designing the school, he was always thinking about the other schools he's been when he was young. He thought about how tall they are, the way they're built and using perfect bricks. Eddy said in an interview that he wanted the school to be perfect. He wanted to make the best school in Canterlot. He even mentioned being a teacher before and said how much he loved it and he couldn't wait to be both the teacher and the owner of Summer Class Home Of Our Legacy. However, Eddy didn't want to waist any more time and was ready to start construction of the school in the same year. Due to Eddy wanting the school to be perfect, it took time to build the school. Day and night, they continued working without a break. Eddy's behavior was noticeably changing after he was helping out with construction. Even though the workers got water and other food supplies to feed themselves during their construction, Eddy refuses them to give them a break. One of the workers said Eddy can get a little annoyed if one work was stalling. Construction actually took months to finish. Workers were growing more tired and they were getting ill. They weren't getting any sleep. They were getting more sick. It was reported that one worker died during construction. When everyone was getting worried, Eddy didn't bat an eye and told everyone that he will deal with it later and continue working. When construction was close to being finished on January 3rd 1984, Eddy was growing more ecstatic to show off his own school to the public. Eddy already opened up a website to let people know about the new school. April 14, 1984, Summer Class Home Of Our Legacy was finally opened to the public at 8:56 AM. When the website was open, people were aware about the new school. Eddy received a few messages about some students who wanted to visit the school. She was happy to know he'll be her teacher. Eddy was also happy to meet Sweetie Belle. She's energetic and resourceful. She's a fun person to talk to. Firefly also liked Eddy's jokes and his personality. When they were given a tour, they were amazed because of how big the school is. The hallway was wide, the lunch cafeteria was the size of a backyard and the classrooms were shiny and clean. Sweetie Belle mentioned to Eddy she loved how hard he spent on the school. Eddy gives Sweetie Belle a handshake and gave the three of them a gift card. The first day of school was a perfect start for them. The students were already liking each other's company and Eddy really enjoyed teaching them. However... //-------------------------------------------------------// Incidents //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note After the first day of school, things were starting to get good, but things weren't working out. Things were starting to fall apart for the school. Things went downhill as Eddy shows his... unforgivable side. Here's a list of incidents that happened in Summer Class Home Of Our Legacy. Incidents More Students & Bullying Few days have passed and more students were actually willing to visit his school. Eddy was surprised to know that a lot more people are aware about the school. At first, the new students were behaving nicely to Eddy. At first, Eddy thought he would be okay with taking care of more students other than just a few. However, as the days went by, the students were slowly beginning to misbehave. They would often pick each other, start fights out of nowhere and cause a ruckus around the school. They were also bullying Sweetie Belle, Megan and FireFly. Sweetie Belle and the others thought it was topical school behavior and tried to ignore them. Eddy took the behavior more seriously. Eddy attempt to calm the students down, but it didn't work. He's gotten more serious with the students and telling them he will fail their homework assignments if they don't behave, but nothing. Eddy had never dealt with many immature students in his school. Eddy felt really irritated because he really wanted the school to be the best then the rest. He tried to calm them down again and again and again, but with every attempt, he felt like he was being ignored by his own students. September 23rd, 1985, Eddy was trying to have a calm conversation with the students, until one boy was annoying and interrupting him. Eddy told him to not interrupt him when he's speaking, but the boy continued to bother him. Eddy just... snapped. Eddy walk up the boy and quietly asked him to see him in his office. It's unknown what happened, but a fair share of screaming is heard. It's been reported that Eddy was yelling out death threats at the boy, saying things like "I will stab your eyes with a pen if you interrupt me again!" When they came back, the boy looked extremely terrified. He didn't say a word. When class was over, Sweetie Belle asked what happened, Eddy said, "it's nothing to worry about." Sweetie Belle was still worried, but she didn't want to bother Eddy, so she just smiled and didn't say anything else. The next day, the boy moved to a different school. He didn't want to talk about the school, or Eddy again. Fights Whenever a student fights another, it causes so much ruckus. The fights got more violent. Usually they happen at the lunch cafeteria, they throw chairs at each other, and there was a lot of blood splattering on the ground. Eddy was upset about the fights that accrued, he tried stopping a fight one day and it almost injured him badly. Eddy actually made the fight worse as he tried to stop it. The student attacked him The police had to be called and the boys were arrested. The fight made Eddy so upset, Eddy announced that he will go mad if he sees a student fighting in his class. Sweetie, Megan and Firefly grew worried. Every time another fight accrues, Eddy screams at them and threatens to "hurt them until they lose their teeth." Sweetie Belle said she noticed Eddy's behavior was slowly changing. She didn't want to say anything because she was afraid to make him more angry, but one day, Eddy wanted to talk with her. Eddy apologized to her, and revealed that he really wanted the school to be the best and he couldn't help letting out his anger. Sweetie Belle can tell Eddy was feeling stressed. Sweetie Belle calms him down by offering him some water. Eddy gave her a smile and said this, "Thank you, Sweetie. I don't know what I'd do without you." At the time, Sweetie thought it's the sweetest thing she heard from him. Cheering up Eddy made her happy. Sweetie Belle said if he needs a helping hand, she'll be happy to help. Eddy liked the idea and agreed. Eddy and Sweetie Belle After Sweetie Belle cheered up Eddy, she had more conversations with Eddy during the beginning of class. They were liking each other's company. At first, Sweetie Belle thought that she and Eddy were gonna have a father and son bond. Megan and Firefly thought so too, but as the days went by, they were noticing some red flags. First, Eddy was noticeably touching Sweetie more. At first, it was just handshakes and hugs, but then he was wrapping his arm around her, rubbing her shoulders, holding her hands and touching her legs. They didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but the way Eddy is touching her was a little strange. When asked, Sweetie Belle said she felt a little weird with him touching him all the time. She thought he wasn't doing it on purpose, but she knew it wasn't the case because of him constantly massaging her shoulders. When Firefly and Megan asked Eddy about it, he said it was nothing to worry about. Second, whenever Sweetie Belle would walk in Eddy's classroom, Eddy would be there and suddenly called her cute. When Sweetie asked to repeat what he said, he said, her dress makes her look cute. Even though Sweetie said thank you, she didn't feel confabulate with someone older than her calling her cute. Eddy didn't stop there. Eddy would also call her names like, sweetie, honey and cutie. Megan said Firefly and her know something's going on with Eddy. She wasn't happy with Eddy calling her friend weird names. Sweetie Belle had a talk with her friends and she agreed that Eddy was acting weird around her. Sweetie Belle requested that if anything happens to her, she will let them know. When Sweetie Belle got home that day, she told her parents about what's going on with Eddy. They both suggest to call the cops if Eddy does anything bad to her. Three... Sweetie Belle was walking to school and then she sees Eddy waiting for her outside. Eddy greets her and asked to walk with her to his classroom, saying he has a surprise. Afterwards, Sweetie Belle called the cops on Eddy. She was traumatized. Eddy was revealed to have sexual feelings towards Sweetie Belle. When he was asked, he said he couldn't help himself and wanted to let out his anger by taking advantage to his "favorite student." When police investigate his house, they found pictures of Sweetie Belle laying underneath his pillow. He was reveled to be a pedophile. Eddy was arrested on June 5th, 1990. Sweetie Belle has mentioned it was the most terrible experience she ever gone though. Megan and Firefly were so hurt after what happened, they stayed by Sweetie Belle side. They never went back to the school again. //-------------------------------------------------------// April 28th, 1994 //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note 1994 was considered to be the most tragic year for the school. My sister was able to find some details of what happened that day. Here's what happened on April 28h, 1994. April 28th, 1994 It was a while before the school got a new owner. It's unknown what the new owner's name is, but it's said that he had a lot of fixing up to do for the school. However, after the news of Eddy was spread all over the public, the school was stormed with angry parents. They were attacking the school like mad. They took things too far. Unaware that there are people still in the school, they begin to throw fire around the school. The sparks cause part of the building to catch fire. The fire grown stronger and burned almost all of the school cafeteria. The fire got worse and the angry mob sit back and watched the school get burned down. Most of the students evacuated the school after the fire occurred. However, the other students didn't make it out. To make things worse, the building exploded, causing the building to collapse. 46 students were killed and 32 were injured. A few people from the angry mob were struck from the explosion. The injured students were sent to the hospital. The rest of the students' bodies were found the next day. The incident was broadcast everywhere. It was remembered to be the most horrible incidents to happen in Canterlot. For years, the school was left abandoned. It was left as just a memory. It was remembered for the wrong reasons. Well... It used to be abandoned... //-------------------------------------------------------// A New Change //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Suddenly, things were beginning to light up. A New Change Back in 2003, the school was no longer a burned waist, it was rebuild due to a high demand. The school was given a second chance and it was good as new. Then, a few students were visiting the school again. Another, and another, and another. Things were actually picking up without a warning. The school was viewed by the public once again. It was no longer a bad memory, it's now growing stronger, and I'm pretty sure there will be more people who're willing to visit the school soon. It sure is amazing to see how the school went from a mess, to a home for students. When I got hired, I was amazed how people were so kind and special! For example, I was having a hard time revealing that I was a lesbian to my parents. When I did, they didn't know what to think, but now everyone accepted who I am. I have met the most wonderful students. They're all kind and very funny. It was very interesting to know how the school was back in the day. It was also pretty tragic to know the disturbing facts about the original owner, but now, it's all in the past.
