Journal of Flutterbat's Roommate
I’m going to say this straight out, If this has got out of Equestria, then that’s good. If not, that’s okay with me as well. My name is Daniel, and I’m stuck in a messed up version of Equestria.
Let me start at the beginning. I was walking home from a date with my girlfriend, friend/ex-girlfriend to be exact. She was beautiful, she had black hair halfway down her back, light skin, and light brown eyes, but since we couldn’t really agree on stuff, we broke up, but decided to remain friends. I should say that the date was actually a party for my work and I had to bring someone with me. I opened my door and fell. I’m not talking about tripping over something in the doorway, I mean falling through the floor. It was dark, then I saw something dark green. The color grew until I could see that it was leaves, then before long I was crashing through the branches.
I woke up with my body hurting all over. I looked up to see the hole that I came through was looking like it was being repaired. I looked around to see that I was in a dark forest, but I don’t where. I got up and walked around.
After a few minutes of walking around. I spotted a reptile’s tail leading into the bush. I slowly parted the bush see a weird creature with a scaly torso, wings, and chicken feet and head. I was about to lose it, here standing in front of my was a cockatrice. Yes, get it all out, I’m a brony. I took a step back and tripped over a rock. I yelped as I fell, then I looked up to see the cockatrice heard me. I did the only thing I could do, I ran. I heard it screeching after me, that made ran faster. I didn’t turn back since the cockatrice is like Medusa, if you avoid eye contact, you wouldn’t turn to stone.
Once I was clear of the forest. I sat down and leaned against a tree to catch my breath. If I just ran into a cockatrice, then I must be in Equestria. I looked over my body to see that all I had were scratches and bruises. I got up and headed away from the forest.
I was walking, when I heard someone say, “Hello, are you new here?”
I turned around to see a purple lizard with green spikes and eyes. It stood on its hind legs till it was the same height as me. I started taking steps backward and the lizard started steps towards me. That’s when I took off in a full sprint. I guess it would be funny for someone else to watch what was happening, but it wasn’t for me. Imagine being chased by a purple lizard standing on its hind legs and running while swinging its claw, it was scary. I saw a tree with I think a red door. I didn’t think about what if it’s just a tree, I needed to get away. I hurried through the door and locked it. The lizard started to bang against the door. After a few minutes of sitting down, hidden by a desk, the door flew in. A purple blur came in, stopped, and then headed through a hole in the wall.
I sat there for a while, then I got up and walked towards the hole, then I fell down and realized that it was a staircase. I tumbled down it and ended up at the bottom. I looked up to see a mixture of colors, purple, indigo, pink and green, then I passed out.
I woke up to a bright light glaring into my eyes, I closed my eyes, but it didn’t help much. Once the light was out of my eyes, I opened them up to see that everything was blurry, that’s when I noticed that I didn’t really have my glasses on. I tried to get up, but my body wouldn’t let me. I lifted my arm to feel that something was around it. I struggled to see what it was, but couldn’t. Then I heard a voice say, “It seems that this thing is blind. So he should have some sort of correction thing on or around him. Where did you exactly find him?”
Another voice, this one deeper than the first, said, “I just found him in Ponyville, he ran here. It seems like he’s awake.”
The figures came into shape as they got closer. One was a unicorn and the other one was a wingless dragon or maybe a lizard. My tongue felt like sandpaper, I had to force out, “Could I have some water.”
The unicorn jumped up and down and said, “This is great, if I show this to Daybreaker, I won’t be sent to Magic Kindergarten. Spike, can you go get water for him?”
I laid back down and thought about what the unicorn said, then I tried to bolt upright, making the unicorn jump away, but the straps cut into my chest. I laid back down to keep the straps from cutting. I heard heavy steps behind me, but I couldn’t see who it was since the chair was in my way. The straps gave away of my left arm and a glass was placed in it. I lifted the glass to my mouth and gulped down the water. When I was done, I said, “Could you let me go, these straps are itchy." The strap came off and I sat up to rub my wrists and my ankles.
The unicorn said as it got into my face, “What are you, where is your eyesight correction device, and how did you get here?"
I back up to get her out of my face, judging by the structure of the face can tell the unicorn was a mare, and said, “I’m human, I don’t know where, somewhere in the forest, I don’t know how I got here.”
The mare stepped away and said, "come on, I’ll get someponies to help. Spike, what is the status of our friends.”
The one named Spike said, “Rainbow Dash is with the other Shadowbolts, Applejack is working on her farm, Rarity is working at her shop, Fluttershy might be at her cottage or the farm, and Pinkie Pie is at her shop.” I was curious why Twilight wasn’t mentioned.
The mare said as she lifted me off the chair with ease, “Go get Rarity and Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy is still not in the best condition to search the forest.” The lizard nodded and quickly headed up the stairs.
When the mare and I got to the forest and lizard with a tall black pony, with purple and white for I think its mane and a pale pink pony. I gulped and headed in the forest, really not wanting to run into the cockatrice. We walked around, then I heard a crunch, my body froze in fear, was the cockatrice back, or was it another monster. One of the ponies said as a ball of light rose from the ground, “I think you found your glasses."
I held out my hands to watch the ball lower into my palms before disappearing. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something, then my glasses started to repair itself. I placed them on, then I jump when I looked at the others. The mare that I met was Twilight, but her mane and tail were messed up and her iris was shrunk, there were Nightmare Rarity and Pinkamena standing there, and Spike looked greedy like he wanted to take something from me. I decided that I needed some rest and said, "Thank you for your help, but I need to get home, is there any way to get out of Equestria?”
Twilight shook her head and said, “No, there isn’t a way that I know of. Let’s head back to the library, and decide where you can stay. “
We headed back to the library, I don’t know how it’s still standing, figured out about me and talked about places, Twilight said as she gave me some paper, “You will be staying with Fluttershy, I suggest you write what’s going on in case you have problems when you get home."
I nodded and left as I said goodbye and good night. I walked into the cottage where I will be staying. It looked more rundown than I remembered, but I wasn’t one to complain about free. I knocked on the door and it slowly opened. I said as I peeked in, “Hello, Fluttershy, are you here?” When I didn’t hear anything, I quickly found a bed and started writing this right before I fall asleep.
