The Tale Of Her Mark
It was a warm summer day, especialy at the schoolhouse.
"Okay class,"said Miss Cheerilee, the teacher, as she began to silence the class.
"Now tommorow is when your literature homework is due. Remember to wtite a story based upon your life."
As she said that, a hoof was raised into the air. The hoof was a dull pink with a hint of gray woven into it. The pony who owned the hoof was a young alicorn princess, known as Treble Clefé, daughter of Octavia Melody and Vinyl 'DJ PON3' Scratch. She wore a pair of light blue glasses, which gave more emphasis of her bright red eyes, which at the moment was uneven, a bit like somepony elses (Miss Ditzy 'Derpy Whooves' Doo). Her mane was a mixture of light a moderate cobalt blue, brilliant opal and dark grey streaks, which was all crammed underneath a red propellor hat, which was spinning, despite the lack of wind.
All eyes were glued onto the alicorn.
"Yes Treble?" Miss Cheerilee said, raising an eyebrow.
Treble thought about if before putting her hoof down.
"Nothing," she murmured as her mane fell over the side of her face, her right eye staring at the floor and her left eye staring away.
The the bell rang. Everypony dashed towarss there friends except the CMC, the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
"Come on Treble!" yelled the firt voice. She was a white unicorn. She had a curly two-toned mane consisting of pink and purple whose name is Sweetie Belle. She spoke with an elegant yet squeaky voice.
"Yea' she's raigh'. Pick up t'payce!' yelles the second voice. It belongs to a yellow earth pony. She had a red mane with a pink bow. Her name was Applebloom. She had a country accent
"Or I will drag you by the flank!" yelled the thiird and final voice. It belonged to a orange pegasus who goes by the name of Scootaloo. She had a messy-yet-neat mane.
"I'm coming girls," said the alicorn, as she trotted away.
"Actually, me and Treble needs to talk," said Miss, gently placing her hoof on Treble's shoulder to emphasise.
The girls' looked at each other before shrugging their shoulders
"'Kay. Se ya at t'clubhouse Treb'" said Apple Bloom a whilst Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle wave, trotting out the door.
Miss Cheerilee waited until they were barely visable before proceeding to talk.
"Take a seat, this might be long," she said, pointing towards an empty chair. Treble sat down. Miss then sat in front of the in an opposite chair.
"Treble, I was always wondering, but, would you mind if I ask about your cutie-mark?"
Treble felt herself being punched as Cheerilee brought up her 'cutie-mark'. She hung her head in shame as she began to sob. Small tears began to trickle down her cheeks. Miss Cheerilee extended her hooves out to give her a hug. Treble lent into her warm imbrace, sobbing into her furr.
"Shhuu, Shhuu. Let it all out. Shuu. Shuu," Miss Cheerilee said, simpatheticly patting her mane.
After a few minutes of crying, it began to subside before becoming mute.
"Treble, if you don't want to bottle up your anger, you tell me all about it."
Treble sniffed into her teachers arm before sitting herself up. She took a deep breath in and began to speake
"It all started..."
It was another day at the CMC, or the Cutie Mark Crusaders' clubhouse. The sun was shining, the birds were tweeting and as usual, Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle were there next plan that would give the great prize of 3 brand-new cutie marks when they heard a loud banging upon the door. The three fillies quickly turned their heads to the door.
"It's your tim' t'open th'door,"Applebloom said to Sweetie Belle, turning towards the white filly.
"Yeah, it's your time Sweets," Scootaloo added on.
Sweetie Belle rolled her eyes as she ignited her horn, causing the magic to surround the door handle. She then flung the door wide open to see one of Equestria's newest princess, Treble Clefé. Sweetie Belle instantly grew a large smile upon her small face.
"Girls, it's Treble!" she yelled. At once, Applebloom and Scootaloo rushed towards the princess to give her a hug, practically knocking her over. She tried to get up but Sweetie Belle jumped upon the pile of friends to join the hug
"Hey girls," said the pony, trying to prise herself free of the hug. The CMC realised thid and slowly but carefully got off of the princes . Applebloom offered her hoof to Treble to help her up.
"This is just a quick visit," she continued. "I need to go off to the Everfree Forest to pick up some ingredients for a potion. I have to go now, bye."
Treble turned around and was about fly off when she felt a small amount of pain aroun her heindquaters. She looked around and saw Scootaloo pulling her tail.
"We are NOT letting one of our friends go into that dark and scary place alone," said Scootaloo, releasing her grasp on Treble's tail.
"If your going, we're going with you!"
Applebloom and Sweetie Belle stood beside her friend to emphasise her point.
" We ain' lettin' nuthin' get t'our frien' withou' a'figh't!" Applebloom said,which had an extended "Yeah," from Sweetie Belle.
Treble Clefé smiled as she admired her friends bravery. She admired how they would risk their own lives to help her.
"Then LETS GO!"
A couple of minutes later, the CMC found themselves at the edge of the Everfree Forest. The three fillies begant to cower and shake at the sight of the place. Treble Clefé stood infront of the three fillies, as brave as she could. Deep down, Treble knew she was scared. She brushed the fear away. Taking a deep breath, she and her friends began to trott into the forest
The CMC and Treble were deep in the forest.
"Do ya'll think was'a good idea t'go out int'a t'Everfree Forest?"
Applebloom asked, looking around the forest.
Scootaloo patted her on the back with one of her wings.
"Look, whatever happens, we'll be ready,"
"What about that?" Sweetie Belle said.
The pair looked up and saw a strange creature. It had the head of a lion, the wings of a griffin and the tail of a scorpion. The four mares froze, their eyes as small as pin-pricks. Even though she was scared, Treble walked up to the creature.
"Can you please move to the side," she said, her voice raised.
The creature stood there, making the CMC and Treble wait. Treble cleared her through and motioned with her wings to move to the side. The creature began to recognise this. Its only response was a roar right in the alicorns face.
Treble stood there, stunned. Her glasses flew off of her face. Her usually derped eyes managed to focus before moving back to its original form. It wasn't because she was scared, it was because of the breath. The breath stand like old, rotting garbage. Treble broke out into a cough.
"*cough cough* you REALLY need a breath mint. What do you EAT?"
The CMC gasped. Treble was not one for cussing or being rude.
"Treble! Are you insane?" Sweetie asked.
After recovering her red glasses, the mare snapped her head back at the pastel coloured horse and gave her the 'do I look crazy to you?' face.
Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle gasped. Treble has a confused expression in her face. She turned around to see a large paw being swung at her. She gasped before the paw came into contact with the poor alicornn's face.
The force of the attack knocked Treble across the area, only for her to land upon a small pile of leaves. The creature walked up towards the mare. She was bleeding as the paw sliced a large gaping cut in her face. Her wing was badly bent. The creature turned around, revealing its 10ft long tail. It stuck its tail into her side, injecting its poison into her.
Once it had finished, it removes its tail. It stood there as it watched the mare twitch and shake. Suddenly there was a loud scream. Before she could even properly look, an orange bury whizzed into the creature, knocking it off balanced. Treble struggles to look but all she could see was a blurry blob standing on top of a larger one.
"Scootaloo come on! Treble HAS to go to the hospital STAT!"
"Wait. Can I at least give it a last punch?"
"Uurgh, fine."
*silence*
"There! Come on! Go! NOW!"
"JEEZ! CALM DOWN!"
The Next Day
Treble woke up in hospital. The cut upon the side of there face was gone. And as for her wing, it was in a cast. She saw the CMC, and her parents. Vinyl said that Octavia was crying as soon as she heard that Treble was hospitalized. At that moment, the doctor entered, a clipboard in his hooves.
"I have some good news and some bad news." he said. "The good news is that her wing will heal up."
Everypony cheered, before allowing the doctor to continue.
"The bad news that she can't earn a cutie mark."
The room fell silent.
"Uh doctor," Octavia quietly asked. "What do you mean she can't earn a cutie mark?"
The doctor explained that the creature that the poison that Treble was given had something that prevents cutie mark's from appearing.
Tears filled the alicorn's eyes. She can't have a cutie mark. Treble hung her head in sadness as she realised that she was a going to be a blank flank forever.
"And that's how it happened, Miss"
Cheerilee sat there, tears flowing from her eyes like a waterfall. She grabbed the alicorn to give her a hug.
"Uh, miss," she squeaked as germ teacher squeezed her. Realising this, Cheerilee let her go home
She watched as she galloped off into the sunset. Wiping the tears from her eyes, she whispered,
"What a brave student."
