The amnesiac stranger who knows too much

Amnesia sucks. Not knowing the language makes it worse. I feel like I know those ponies and places, plus things no one has any clue about, even if I can't really remember. Considering that they don't seem to know me at all, it's rather disconcerting.

This lot is closed for renovation. Due to planning shortcomings, the construction has run into serious problems and probably requires a redesign.

I wake up in a hospital. I freak out at me being a pony. Then I realize that I don't have any clue about what I was supposed to be instead. I don't have much recollection of anything, really. Good thing that I at least remember how to speak! Wait, what was that again? Oh. Turns out they don't speak... Whatever language I speak? Ugh. Amnesia sucks.

Oh well, at least they are taking care of me. For now, anyway. Though... That yellow... winged pony (I know there has to be a word for it!) seems to be awfully worried for me. And she feels so familiar... Maybe she could explain everything. If I knew the language. Sigh.

This is a story of one White Coat, for the lack of better name, narrated by himself. He appeared out of nowhere, and somehow survived a fatal condition. But he does not know that yet. He had lost his memory, and he does not understand the language that others speak. Yet, he feels like he knows ponies and places around him! And he has a really bad feeling when a purple unicorn and a baby dragon arrive into town in a sky chariot. And that's just the beginning!

This story might get long. It started as some kind of self-insert fantasy, but I never got too far into the story before I fell asleep. Consequently, I only have a vague idea of where It's going later on.

There probably will be no ETA for new chapters. If you really dislike waiting for updates (forever, if worst comes to worst, though I hope it does not), I'd say put this story aside for a while, ~~until it's a few chapters in~~ ~~feels more like 10 chapters now, with how short they turned out to be~~ um, until it's finished?

I did consider not publishing it until it's finished and polished, but then I'd never finish it. It took me at least 3 weeks to even start writing it, and that's counting from when I settled on the final general idea and decided that I needed to write this story ASAP. This way I at least have motivation to write when I have time and not "tomorrow".
