I don't own any of these characters or ideas, mainly because you can't own ideas. This is my first story, so it probably won't be the best, but please be nice. "Wake up, Seaweed Brain." I groggily opened my eyes and looked around. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. The broken fountain was still there, Tyson was snoring in the next bunk. "Who's there," I asked, "and what do you want?" Someone grabbed my shoulder. I spun around, and there's Annabeth, holding her magical Yankees cap and grinning. "Ready to go?" "Go where?" She rolled her eyes, "the disturbance in Jersey, remember? A manticore was sighted, and Grover said it looked like Thorn." I shuddered. Some of the monsters from the battle with Kronos had already been reborn, and we were given the job of tracking them down. Not exactly what you wanted to do after only a few weeks break. "I guess," I muttered, "let's get going." When Blackjack dropped us off, I told him to stay alert, just in case something happened. Ya sure, boss? he asked. "This is Thorn we're talking about," I said uneasily, "anything could happen." Annabeth motioned for me to shut up, and we started sneaking through the streets. "Where are we," I asked, "and why would Thorn be here? He hates cities." "This city has no name. It's a place hidden by the Mist," she said, "and therefore, the perfect place for a rogue monster to hide. Be ready. We might find more than we bargained for." We walked for a while until we could see a dark shack in the distance, one that when you looked straight at it, it was invisible, but you could see it out of the corner of your eye. "So I'm guessing he's in there," I spoke first. "Yeah," Annabeth said, "but something feels... I don't know... wrong. Grover would never go in there! Why would we get a letter saying he did?" "Not sure," I replied, "but it looks like a heavy protection charm is on it." We walked toward the shack, but my mind was elsewhere. I'd been having dreams lately, which is never good for a demigod. The world would flicker, sometimes normal, sometimes colorful and cartoony. For some reason, in the cartoony flicker, people would appear as colorful horses with tattoos on their flanks. I haven't told anyone, not even my mother or Annabeth. I do NOT need to look crazy yet. When we got to the shack, the door blew open. "Stay here," I told Annabeth, and crept inside to get a better look. The door immediately slammed behind me. A gust picked up in the room, and I fell to the floor. When I looked up, Ares was standing over me. "So I guess you would want to know why I've summoned you here, eh punk?" he asked cruelly. I remained silent and just stared at the floor. He grabbed my hair and pulled me to look at him, "Answer the question, runt." And still I did not speak. He laughed and threw me to the side. "I'll just tell you anyway," he sneered, "Zeus wants me to test you. The next few weeks will either be the best time of your life, or the worst, depending on the choices you will make. I've been given the authority to change this world drastically. To a world where Zeus is not yet king. I tell you now, boy. You will have to choose a side in a three way war, and your sense of self loyalty will finally be put to the test. The dreams I've been giving you are simply the truth in the world I have prepared. Find your friends, and you may prevail. Fail, and you will die, and no one will remember you." And he disappeared in a puff of smoke. The world began to rumble, and Annabeth finally broke into the room. When she saw me, she started screaming. I looked at my hands, and they were turning sea green, just like my eyes. She was turning grey before my eyes, and I blacked out. I woke in a field of grass. My whole body hurt. Standing above me was... a pony? Obviously female, she was yellow with pink hair and soft eyes. She had the same color eyes as me, sea green, and she spoke softly, "Are you alright?" I looked at her, "you... you're a pony?" "Yes?" she answered blushing a bit, "Does that bother you? If it bothers you I can leave, but does it bother you? Wait a minute... you are too, why would you ask that? Am I weird looking?" "Uhhh..." I stared blankly for a moment before passing out. When I woke up, my vision was blurry, as if I were looking through a bubble. When my vision sharpened, I could see the yellow pony from before. She was talking to someone. "No, Angel," she whispered, "we have to take him to Twilight. She would understand this better than we ever could. We can't just keep him locked up!" I sat up, my senses returning. I was sitting in some rough straw. I could see now I was in some sort of cottage. It smelled like vegetables and little animals. The yellow pony turned to me and smiled, "So the sleepyhead finally wakes up?" "Uh, yeah," I said sleepily, "how long have I been out?" "Only a couple of hours." Phew. That could have been bad. Ares had warned me not to waste any time. If this world was a mirror of my world, that could mean that some things I had defeated could just as easily be still at large in this world. "So... what's this about taking me to someone?" I asked. "Oh, just my friend," she smiled, "she's an expert on pretty much everything. In fact, we should probably get over there pretty quickly, she might have errands, well, if it's okay with you..." she turned away, blushing. "Of course it's okay!" I said, "Why wouldn't it be? I need to find my friends quickly, or something terrible is going to happen." "What?" she stared at me blankly. Oh gods, why did I open my mouth? "Well, before I explain, can I know your name?" She smiled gently, "of course. I'm Fluttershy, who are you?" "My name is..." Everything froze. The wind stopped, the animals stopped moving. Suddenly, another pony stood in Fluttershy's place. Obviously male, he had blazing red eyes, black fur like leather, and a flowing mane the color of dark meat. "Percy, there are rules to this game." "Ares," I said, "What are you doing here?" "I'm simply here to explain dimensional balance," he said with a wolfish grin, "Rule number one. You can't use your human name here. You are Trident in this world. Rule two: Seven of your friends are in this world. You have seven days before the war starts. By the way, just a hint, in this dimension, one of them is dead. Rule three: In order to find your friends, you must befriend the pony they represent. When they trust you, their form will flicker, and your friend will be released from their body." "Why would you tell me this?" I asked, "Why not just guaruntee I fail by not telling me rules?" "Because I'm here to test you." With that, he left. Time unfroze. I realized I had moved to the other side of the room. "How'd you get over there?" Fluttershy looked confused. "My name is Trident. I need to find my friends, Fluttershy. My friends have been sealed inside other ponies in this world. Can you help me?" She looked kind of scared now, "w-what? I'm sorry... I can't help you there. Maybe Pinkie Pie can help, she knows everypony... If you need a place to stay, you're welcome to stay here, but please don't ask me to talk to ponies... I'm very shy..." "No problem, can we get to your friends house?" "S-sure." When we arrived, there was a purple pony with a streak in her hair running around looking at books. "Spike! Where is that dragon? SPIIIIIKE?" She looked at us and smiled in relief, "Hello! You must be Fluttershy's friend. How can I help you?" She blew a loose strand of hair off her face and frowned, "What is your cutie mark supposed to be?" I looked behind me and realized there was a tattoo of a trident on my flank, "Um, I'm good at controlling water?" She gasped, everything her magic was holding fell, "You mean... you're one of the only ponies in Equestria who still know how to use aquamency? "Erm, sure." "Oh my gosh!" She squealed, "You have GOT to show me!" It's going to be a long day, I thought. The SerpentAfter a couple of hours of teaching Twilight to control water, she had really warmed to me. She took me inside and gave me tour of her house, which apparently is a library. I've never been good in libraries, but this one doesn't make me nearly as nervous. "Over here, this is where I keep the spellbooks," she rambled, "and this is the cookbooks section. There's only one book in it right now, and that's Pinkie's recipe for cupcakes! I should probably get to reading that, she wants me to bake some for her party tonight, because she's going to be busy..." I zoned out a bit while Twilight grabbed the book and began to read. I started thinking about how I was going to find my friends. They were hibernating inside the bodies of other ponies? That part, I just did not understand. I realized that Twilight could probably teach me something. What if equestrian mythology was similar to greek? I turn to Twilight, who's face is now white. Her eyes are wide as she reads Pinkie's recipe book. "Is something wrong?" I ask. Twilight slowly looks up, fear in her eyes, "Pinkie has a terrifying sense of humor. This book is about cutting ponies to pieces and baking them into cupcakes... Did you need something?" "Er, yeah. Can you get me anything you have on Equestrian mythology?" Her eyes lit up, "OH! That's one of my favorite subjects! What kind, the Humanity Myth? Or the creation of equestria? Or maybe you're looking for something more solid, like the history of Celestia?" That last one caught my attention. I swear I've heard that name before. "I'll take that last one you mentioned. Who's Celestia?" Her mouth dropped, "You-you're kidding. You're kidding, right? The RULER of Equestria, and you don't know her?" "No." She smiled sympathetically, "Well, I'll do you one better than just giving you a book. I'll take you to meet her myself." This time, MY mouth dropped, "You can do that? Just magically you have an appointment with the QUEEN?" She looked confused, "What's a queen? She's our princess. And I'M her star student," she beamed, "so naturally, I can drop in pretty much whenever." Getting to Canterlot was the easy part. Twilight could just teleport us there with her magic. When we got there, the city was dark. All electricity was gone. No sounds littered the streets. I look around, "Where is everypony?" She looks uneasy, "Maybe a holiday?" I glance at her, "You lived here. Wouldn't you of all people know?" She was silent, which scared me. I heard a noise from a nearby building. A sort of buzzing, like bees, but more mechanical. Suddenly, a bronze serpent the size of my apartment erupted from the roof. I reached for Riptide, but then I remembered. No pockets. "RUN!" Twilight screamed. I thought about my sword, and how it always reappeared with me. What if I could summon my sword? Not out of my pocket, but out of thin air? I concentrated as I ran, and sure enough, my glowing bronze blade appeared before me. I picked it up with magic and turned toward the serpent. "You aren't ssssssssupposssed to be here!" The serpent hissed. "Yeah," I glared back, "I know. Just leave now, and I won't destroy you." It's eyes glowed, and then it lunged, I tried to parry with Riptide, but my reflexes aren't the same with magic. The bite missed me by an inch. I imagined a human avatar around my body that could hold the sword, but naturally that didn't work. There's only so much magic can do. I decided to just throw my sword at him, and then when it misses, I'll whip it back around like a boomerang. The plan worked perfectly. Soon enough, I had a mechanical snake head by my feet. My sword had disappeared, and Twi was gawking at me from across the street. "How- how did you..." She was speechless. A voice boomed from down the road, "Congratulations! You conquered the monster!" I turn and see a great white alicorn, with a flowing mane of many colors and a big smile. But when she saw me clearly, that smile faded very quickly, and her already white face paled. "Come with me," she sighed, "We have a lot to talk about." -More to come, sorry for the delay on this chapter, and that it's a short one. I've been busy- The PrincessCelestia demanded that we would speak, but she needed to rest overnight. So I got the next best thing, a warm royalty bed. The room was magic, and it could look like anything my heart desired. I was feeling a tad homesick, so I asked the room to look like my room from my mom's apartment. Everything was exact, the fire escape on the left hand side, the ketchup stain on the bed. I just wasn't satisfied. I tried asking for the Poseidon cabin. Again, I was shocked by the detail: the bronze hippocampi, the slight ocean breeze that always wafted through the room, even my old chocolate wrappers under the bed were there. "I trust everything is to your liking?" I turn around and see another alicorn, this one midnight blue with billowing hair that looked like the stars. "Yeah," I say, "have we met?" She did look familiar, "No," she answered uncertainly, "I am princess Luna of the Night. While my sister rests, she asked me to answer any questions you may have." I smile, I'm finally going to get some answers, "Well, my name's Trident. First question: what was that monster doing in such a grand city?" "Trident..." she wondered aloud, then cleared her throat, "The monster you saw was an automaton, created by one of the lead blacksmiths in Fillydelphia. It was a prototype defense mechanism, created to eliminate the need for magical shields around the Tartarus area. As per usual with prototypes, something had to go wrong. Its processing unit overheated, and its logic center shut down. It rampaged through a good part of equestria, but we managed to seal it inside of the walls of Canterlot." She took a look around the room, and her gaze settled on the hippocampi, "Trident, will you please explain to me something. How do you know of the sea ponies?" "The hippocampi?" I'm taken aback at this, "a long time ago, I met a bunch of them with my half-brother Tyson..." She looked really surprised, "Oh... OH... He plays a dangerous game..." she thought to herself, "Well, just go get some sleep, young colt." "Wait!" I said, "I have more questions!" But she had already left. My audience with Luna was over. As usual, demigod dreams haunted my sleep. I saw Annabeth, Clarisse, and Nico this time. They were in the process of changing into ponies. Annabeth became a unicorn. Her coat was pale, like Fluttershy's, but more vibrant, somehow. Her hair was still blonde and curly, but it blended into her coat. Her eyes were the same stormy gray, and her cutie mark was a book. Nico became a strange sort of pegasus. I had seen a couple in town, but this one had sharp, bladed wings, obviously built for cutting through rock and earth. His coat was black, like his sword, which hung on his side where others would have a saddlebag. His eyes were a crystallized form of olive green. His cutie mark was a bone. Clarrise was a little different. She was more of a war horse, earth pony style with broad features and strong muscles. Her hair was its usual stringy brown, her coat red as a tomato. A spear was on her flank. The next part was very strange. The ponies dissapeared, and Apollo and Artemis appeared in their place. "Percy, everything will be all right soon. It will all make sense tomorrow." They said in perfect harmony. WAIT! I wanted to call, but they were gone. The dream faded to black. "Wake up, Trident." I half expected to see Annabeth again. No such luck, this time it was Twi. "Ah, the sleepy hero wakes," she smirks, and pushes me out of bed, "Come on, the princess is waiting." I don't know what I expected of the throne room, but it was amazing. White marble pillars across the room, shiny curtains on each of the many windows, and an amazing glass flooring with various colorful stones underneath that gave the room a vibrant feel to it. "Trident, how great it is for you to join us," Celestia spoke from her throne, "Twilight, please leave us." "Yes, ma'am." When she was gone, Celestia turned to me and smiled, "Do you know who I am, Percy?" I stood there, open-mouthed. She knows my name. That means she must be a... A brilliant light engulfed her. I looked away, and when I turned back, a muscular twenty-year old with blond hair and gold eyes was smiling at me. I kneeled, "Lord Apollo." He laughed, "Took you long enough. I was about to start writing a poem about how slow you were." I shuddered, I've heard his poetry before, "What do you need to tell me?" "A great war is coming between the Big Three for our throne. In this world, the sun and moon are rulers. Which means there must be two monarchs. Zeus wants to be in charge here, too. This world won't last much longer, as it was created as a test, but none of the gods who weren't involved know that. You must find your friends. I can't tell you all of them, but my vision that I sent last night showed you three to start with." I smiled. I have somewhere to start! He changed back to Celestia, "Go back to Ponyville! Find the three you need to start with, and they will each know another that was changed. The seventh will be your greatest challenge. Good luck, Percy. I must go raise the sun." With that she disappeared, and I went back to see Twi. "Did you learn anything?" she asked. "Yes," I answered, "We need to go back to Ponyville to find my friends." The ProphecyAfter a few hours, I managed to convey to Twi pretty much everything that had happened. I figured that if I could tell anyone, it could be her. She took it pretty well. "So... you're from another dimension, your name isn't actually Trident, and you have seven friends who were brought here with you." "Yeah," I said, "that pretty much sums it up." "Well, what is your real name?" "I can't tell you. It's against the rules." If anyone could have the look of disapproval, she could. I felt bad, but I didn't want to break Ares's rules. "Can you take me back to the library? I want to learn a bit about equestrian monsters. That way I can know what I'm up against." "Sure," She exclaimed, obviously happy to get home, "just sit tight, and we'll teleport together!" And for the second time so far, the world went black. When we got back, I got to reading. It was rather confusing, but my dyslexia didn't effect me in this world. As I'm reading, Twi brings me coffee and lemonade frequently. Each time, she gives me a slight smile and then goes back to what she was doing. I'm just about to give up on this when I read something peculiar. ----Prophecies and Predictions---- In equestrian history, there has only been one prophecy to not be fulfilled. This prophecy is as follows: The seven shall breach the temporal veil, And save many things, in end just to fail The seventh will hide from the first one's seek But only to find they're more than just meek. It didn't sound like the prophecies from my world. In my world, they were vague, yet not vague at the same time. This one just doesn't make sense at all. It's poorly written, and sounds like something out of a children's show. However, it's painfully clear that it's written for me. And what was this about failing? I walk around to clear my head. I'd read about way too many monsters, and then broke my head on that prophecy. Was this why Twi was anxious? I see her at her desk in her study. "Did you know about this?" I say, holding up the book. She paled, "Yes..." "Is this why you were skeptical about my story?" "Yes." "Can you help me find my friends or not?" I snapped. I shouldn't be mean, but Twi had been keeping information from me! "That's the thing... I feel like I'm connected to this somehow. As if your story pulls to me specifically." WAIT. What if... No. No way. "Annabeth? Are you in there?" As soon as I say it, Twilight starts to glow grey, as if storm clouds had flowed into her body. She split in two, but not in a physical sense. Two Twilights stood before me, but the second changed even further. Her coat became pale, like Fluttershy's, but more vibrant, somehow. Her hair changed to blonde and curly, but it blended into her coat. Her eyes were now stormy gray, and her cutie mark was a book. "P-Percy..." She passed out. When she came to, Twi was taking care of her. She tried to speak, but Twi smiled and shushed her. She turned to me, "She'll be fine. Just give her a while. I've seen magical merges before, and they do alter the mind quite a bit." "Well, in the mean time, is there anypony who knows pretty much everypony ever?" She laughed, "You HAVE to be talking about Pinkie Pie. I'm still a tad mad at her for giving me that joke cookbook, so you'll have to go yourself." I have no idea what she's talking about, but you know how ADHD goes. I walk out the door and look around. I see three young fillies playing in the trees, a light gray mail pony shoving letters in a mailbox while eating a muffin, and a blue box over near the park. I decide to head into town. As I approach town, something runs into me from the side, and I fall over. "OHMYGOSHIAMSOSORRYLETMEGETTHATFORYOUOHWAITYOUWERENOTCARRYINGANYTHINGAREYOUOKAY" I hear. "What?" I said, thoroughly confused. "I said," She says, "Are you okay?" My vision clears, and I see a worried pink blob standing over me... Oh wait... that's another pony. I shake myself off and offer my hand, "I'm Trident." "Hi! My name's Pinkie Pie! WAITAMINUTEYOU'RENEWOMG." "Uhhh, what?" She stared at me for a moment. "You're getting a party." "What," I mutter, "are you even talking about?" She grabs me by the hoof and starts dragging me across the street to a store. "SUGARCUBE CORNER," the sign says. "We're going to have SO much fun together," she says with a strange smile, "I can't wait to introduce you to everypony at the party." What have I gotten myself into? The Sirens(Sorry for the short chapter, I've been busy, expect a better chapter next time.) Pinkie Pie dragged me into the store, Sugarcube Corner. Once we were inside, her smile melted. "What are you doing here, Percy?" "WHAT?" I asked, suddenly alarmed, "how do you know who I am?" "I know everything, silly," she laughed, "but that's not the point. Are you here because of... the end?" "I think so..." I replied, "Ares said something about it, I think." "Good," She smiled in relief, "come with me." She lifted a cake and pushed a button underneath it. The fridge swung open without a sound, revealing a dark spiral staircase. She motioned for me to come with her. As we were descending she asked, "Do you know about the Dwarf Pegasi?" "Can't say that I do." "Well, they're a secret race of pegasi that took to digging and drilling with their wings rather than flying. It's a rather interesting tale, but we'll get to that later. For now, let me introduce you to my splits." I had no idea what she meant by that, but I followed anyway. We came to a small circular room. On the other end was a rusty door, and on either side were two earth ponies chained to the walls that looked disturbingly like Pinkie. The only difference was their facial expressions and cutie marks. The one on the left was smiling, but it was a cold smile. She studied me as a student studies a frog before dissecting it. Her cutie mark was baloons that looked a bit like a stomach. The one on the right was a bit different. She looked at me with a sultry look, as if I were the only thing in the world she could possibly desire. It made me uncomfortable, but I will admit she was a bit alluring. Her cutie mark was simply black baloons. "Don't look at them too long," Pinkie warned, "they'll alter your mind. They came from me, but they are Thought Sirens. If you focus on them, you become like them. The one on the left is Pinkamena, and the one on the right is Kinkie Pie." "L-let's just keep moving." Pinkamena looked at me, "You know, I can see you wanting to run from your fears. The only problem is, we're already inside of you. We represent your instincts." Kinkie smiled in that strange way, "You know you'll never escape us. Might as well just... give yourself over." They were starting to make sense... No, wait. They're getting to me. "Come on," I said. We crossed the rusty door and went down another staircase. This time, we were both silent. When we reached bottom, it smelled of earth and fire. It was quite hot, but I felt cold. The Thought Sirens had gotten in my head. I didn't want them to, but they managed to tear my mind. "Hello," spoke a voice from behind us. I turned around, and there was a dark purple pegasus with razor-sharp wings. He was obviously almost blind, because his green eyes looked dead. He had dark hair like Luna's with a crimson stripe down the middle. "My name is Diggy. Are you a friend or are you dead?" Pinkie spoke up, "it's me, Pinkie." Diggy's face lit up, "Splendid. I shall take you to the black castle so that you may converse with the Dwarven King." "Why does he talk funny?" I asked Pinkie. She stopped me there, "Show some respect. Diggy is a highly skilled expert in mining operations here, and he's the King's son." "Well, whatever happens, I'm sure it will be interesting..." The King(Hooray! I got around to making a longer chapter!) As we walked, I looked at Diggy, "Um... is 'Diggy' really your name?" He laughed, "No, silly. My real name was slightly embarassing, so I chose Diggy as a nickname. It's been so long, only my mother remembers my real name." "What about your father?" His face darkened, "Well, you see, my father died in the iron mines. We wanted to try to recreate a broken piece of technology we had found that would allow us to see on the surface. There was a gas leak, and one of the torches lit the explosion." "Oh," I say quietly, "I'm sorry. Wait, I thought the King was your father?" "Erm, no. He married my mother. But that's alright. Common mistake." I lean over to Pinkie, "Pinkie, are you sure we should go through with this?" She laughed, "Of course we should. The readers have absolutely no idea where the writer is going with this! We have to keep moving." Wait, what? "What are you talking about?" "Nothing you should worry your pretty little sea foam green head over! Let's go!" She seemed a bit impatient, but I'm guessing that's just Pinkie Pie. "What were those things upstairs, the 'Thought Sirens?'" She paused, "Well... they represent your Id, the part of your mind with only primal instinct. They're SUPPOSED to be inside my head, but I guess I just broke the barrier somehow. Twi says I'm really good at breaking barriers. Personal space, Real space, the fourth wall..." She rambled on for a few minutes. I realized what the two had meant. They really were inside my head. Inside me, there is bloodlust, and... other things... I ran into Pinkie, who had suddenly stopped. "We're here!" She said in a singsong voice. The castle resembled the Underworld Fortress. The only difference was, this one wasn't really depressing at all. It was made of a warm bronze, with fires blazing in the braziers. The black lining didn't show scenes of death, but scenes of great courage and strength of Equestria's heroes. I wondered who all had been down here before, and then realized I was probably the first overworlder in a long time. The onyx gates swung open silently. A royal guard walked out, but unlike Celestia's guards, these were black pegasi with armor made of diamond-encrusted obsidian. It would be really tough to break if I had to make an escape. Of course, the armor didn't look very comfortable or easy to move in, so I might have a sporting chance. We followed the guards through the palace. There were paintings of many sizes on the walls. And then we hit the throne room. It was a huge room, even larger than Celestia's. The floor was made of gold, and the rest was made of onyx. The throne itself was a mirror of Celestia's, but instead of being made of gold, it was made of a pure black substance I couldn't identify. The stallion on the throne was not what I was expecting. Unlike most of the darker-colored pegasi we had seen down here, he was albino. Pure white, even his eyes. But the way he sneered at us made him seem sinister, even though his words were kind. "Welcome, visitors. And Madame Pinkie, how wonderful it is to see you again." She bowed gracefully. "And Perseus Jackson. I was wondering when you would show up. Nico has been DYING to see you." "What? Nico is here?" I stammered. "But of course. I mean HONESTLY NOW, the Albino Pegasus look must be strange, but you have to admit it was obvious who I am in your world. I mean, seriously. 'King of the Undergound' kinda gives it away, don't you think?" Derp. "Hades?" His booming laughter echoed through the halls, "Well, DUH. I really thought it was going to take you longer than that. I really did. But you beat the odds, congratulations. You know what you win? I'll let you take Nico. That boy just CAN'T shut up." A shadow appeared on the floor. "That shadow contains Nico's soul. Get it to the Overworld, and he will be restored. I'm afraid my nephew failed to bring Nico here successfully. Hurry up and finish this stupid mission of yours so I can go back to being me. I hate this form..." "How do I take a shadow?" "Touch it. Duh." I poked the shadow and it morphed into a small black stone the size of my hoof. I float it in the air with my magic and start out of the room. "Not so fast, Jackson." Hades laughs, "I can't just let you leave. Not without getting you back for last time you visited me." I knew the guards would be after me, so I grabbed Pinkie, who was still bowing for some reason, and pulled her out the door by her poofy tail. The guards were on us within a minute. They took us, and locked us in the dungeon before I could even summon my sword. "Perfect.." Pinkie mumbled, "I was going to make muffins for Derpy when I got home." It could have been minutes, hours, or even days before I heard a voice through the bars. "Trident?" "Who's there?" I said apprehensively. "It's Diggy," I saw his face through the bars, "I can get you out of here, but you need to be quiet." He scrunched his face up in concentration, and then kicked the bars. They bent like wet clay. "Pinkie!" I whipered. She woke up screaming, "NO MOM DON'T WANNA OH WAIT." Diggy groaned, "Yeah, this escape is going to be a lot harder than I thought. There's no way the guards didn't hear that. Let's get moving." I summoned my sword early this time and scouted ahead. No guards. Strange... "Diggy, how long has it been?" "About two weeks. Everybody's upstairs in War Council. Apparently they want war against the overworlders." I cursed. Two weeks was a long time to be missing. But since everypony was upstairs, we were able to get out of the palace safely, even though Pinkie did scream that one time. "See you later, Diggy." "You too, good luck!" Pinkie and I started up the staircase. I had forgotten how long these were... We made it back to the room with chains. Pinkie stopped dead. "They- they're gone..." I turned around. The chains were broken. We'd been gone for two weeks. The Murderer and the Temptress had escaped. The Trials"Oh no, oh no, oh no..." Pinkie stammered, "that's not good..." I turned to her, frantic, "what's going to happen?" "First, Pinkamena will probably kill somepony, and then you'll hear rumors of another me running around *****CENSORED****** to other ponies!" I sat down, my head swimming from the images Pinkie Pie had just put into my head, "I really wish I hadn't heard that... epecially the part with the popsicle..." "Sorry," Pinkie said, blushing a bit, "but that's probably what's going to happen." "Okay... let's go." We ran out of Sugarcube Corner, searching frantically. We took the main road for about half a mile, and then turned left onto a quaint dirt road. As we were running, I heard a faint scream in the distance. "Pinkie!" I yelled, "this way!" We ran to a little wooden treehouse, and screams from the inside were clearly audible. I could hear a voice say, "Oh Applebloom. I wanted you to help me, but this is not how I pictured it. You could have been my assisstant, not my prey. But as the old saying goes, never count your chicks before they hatch." Pinkie pulled a cannon out of seemingly nowhere, and fired a ball of confetti at the door. The door gave way, and we burst into the room. Pinkamena was standing over a filly that was bounded to the table. Pinkamena was holding a scalpel, and she had an insane grin on her face, "it's too late, Trident. You can't stop me. No one can keep Pinkamena Diane Pie away from her responsibility..." Something wasn't right. She was speaking as if in a trance. But I had to stop her. I summoned my sword, and swung. The blade passed clean through her neck, but no blood came. The severed head simply dissolved into words I couldn't read, and floated into Pinkie's eyes, which were glowing white. Her mouth hung open in a trance. The battle wasn't over. Pinkamena's body split into three beings, each with a different weapon of torture. They were all miniature Pinkamenas. The first held a knife, the second a scalpel, and the third a flail. I'd have to handle this without Pinkie, as she was still in her trance. I ran at the first creature, and swung my sword in a downwards arc. She dodged and stabbed my leg with her knife. I yelped in pain. I fell to my knees, and was swarmed by the one with the flail. She brought the flail down across my face, her grin not even wavering. Pain flashed before me, and I couldn't see out of my left eye. The other two grabbed me, and strapped me next to another table next to the filly. I could faintly see her looking at me with genuine fear. "W-what's going to happen, mister?" She said with a heavy southern accent. "I-I don't know... I c-can't see much..." I groaned. "Okay," Pinkamena said, reassembling herself, "are you ready for your treatment, Trident? We saved a special one for you. Our master will be very pleased." Master? "What are you talking about?" I muttered. She didn't answer. She brought out a cheese grater. "Let's start with your magic, shall we?" She began to reach for my horn, but as she did, an explosion shook the room and turned her to dust. "What?" "I think you mean 'Who?,' buddy." Said a cracking female voice. A new mare had entered the room. She had a mane the color of the rainbow, and her coat was a light cyan. Her eyes were pinkish in color, and her cutie mark was a rainbow in the shape of lightning. "The name's Rainbow Dash, and if I'm not mistaken, I just saved your life. You owe me BIG TIME." After untying me and the other filly, Rainbow Dash explained how she found me. "I heard a crash while I was flying above the area, and then I saw Pinkie with a knife. I hid in the trees when I saw you two rounding the corner, because I was confused. What was that thing pretending to be Pinkie Pie?" "A Thought Siren," I replied, "they come from your primal urges, or your Id." She bit her lip, "by primal urges, do you mean *****CENSORED***** or are you just referring to murdering?" I cringed, "Jeez, why do you ponies have this obsession with popsicles? Anyway, yeah. All urges. We need to find Pinkie's other Siren, Kinzie." She snorted, "is that really her name?" "No," I admitted, "but it feels awkward saying her real name." I heard a groan from behind me, Pinkie was awake. "I know where she is... I saw it in a dream..." she said lazily, "she's over at Pipsqueak's place..." "HOLY HORSEFEED WHY WOULD SHE DO STUFF TO PIPSQUEAK?" Rainbow flinched hard. "No, not Pip. His father." "Oh," Rainbow said, relieved, "let's get going then." We approached a modest home on the edge of town. The home was really in need of repair. "Pip's dad is the town drunk," Pinkie said sadly, "he's not friendly to anypony. He's very abusing toward little Pip. It's a shame he turned out that way. He changed after his wife left him for a prince she couldn't have anyway." I almost felt sorry for the guy in the house, before I remembered he abused a child. "Let's just get this done." I said, "as quickly as possible." We opened the door. The house smelled of alcohol and something musty. I tried to trace the smell, but it was everywhere. I turned my head to the left, and there she was, sitting on a couch, with a popsicle. "Hey there," she said with a wink, "glad you could make it." "Uh... we have you outnumbered?" "Now, now," she sauntered over to us and rubbed her tail under my chin. She looked at me with pleading eyes, "that's not necessary, is it?" Then, she took her popsicle and *****CENSORED*****. "Uh, no. I'm not here for that." I stammered. "YEAH!" Pinkie said angrily from behind me, "this isn't a clopfic! It's rated 'Everyone' for a reason!" Let's just get this over with. I summoned my sword. "NO!" Rainbow shouted, "you can only kill a siren with it's own power! I killed the other with intent to kill! You have to kill her with intent to please yourself..." She looked away, blushing profusely. Oh horseapples. I realized that killing her would actually be pretty satisfying. It would end the awkward feelings, and I wouldn't have to do what Pinkie called a "Clopfic." Whatever that means. I stabbed Kinzie through the heart, and she crumbled to dust. The dust went back into Pinkie, just as it did last time. "O-whoa-okay." She stammered, "I'm okay now." As we walked back into town, Twilight ran up to us, clearly out of breath. "What is it," I ask. "It's- it's..." she panted. "Spit it out!" Rainbow huffed. "Annabeth's awake." The ReunionHOORAY! I finally got over my laziness and wrote another chapter! Sadly, this one's short. I feel like I want to leave every chapter on a cliffhanger of some sort. I really enjoy making references to incredibly popular stories, by the way. Some of you will see what I did there with this cliffhanger ;) We rushed back to the library in a hurry. When we got to the door, it was locked. "Twi, why did you lock the door?" I panted. "I..." Twilight couldn't even talk, "D- did- duh GAH. Hold... on." I rolled my eyes. Back at camp, we had to do ten-mile sprints without stopping every morning. Chiron was relentless. She calmed her breath and focused. Her horn began to glow a bright purple until it was so bright I couldn't see her. Then she disappeared. "What just happened?" I asked Pinkie. "Haha, silly," she said exuberantly, "she just teleported into the house. She'll be back in a minute, but in the meantime..." She began bouncing up and down she walked toward the door and literally passed through it like it was nothing. "Uh... I gotta go," Rainbow said, laughing. Then she flew off, leaving a rainbow in her wake. I stood there, dumbfounded as Pinkie opened the door from the inside. She giggled at my gawking. "Well, aren't you going to come in?" she asked innocently. I decided that there was no point in arguing. I followed her bouncing around inside, and saw a pony I'd only seen once before. She was beautiful. Her coat was pale, like Fluttershy's, but more vibrant, somehow. Her hair was still blonde and curly, but it blended into her coat. Her eyes were the same stormy gray, and her cutie mark was a book. She studied me with that intelligent curiosity of hers before walking up to me suspiciously. "Seaweed Brain, you in there?" she asked cautiously. "Yep. How was your nap?" She punched me in the arm, and then tackle-hugged me. "It was so BORING in there, P-" I cut her off. "You can't use my real name," I whispered, "call me Trident." She looked cross, but she agreed. "Listen, I need to tell you something. The reason I was in the coma for so long is because Ares was giving me a special dream message. He explained to me what was going to take place in this world." Twilight frowned, "Okay. Do you want to explain to everypony here, or just Trident?" Annabeth smiled, "You all should hear this. It's about your world." "You see, in Ares's dream, I learned the near future. If the war comes, there will be storms everywhere. The earth will split in many places. The oceans will rise to take the throne. This world will finally see its apocalypse. Celestia and Luna have ruled Equestria for thousands of years, and this war would end that. When you find all seven demigods, the path to stopping the war will be clear." Twilight was glaring at us, "anything else with that little ray of sunshine? We already knew the war would cause catastrophe." I don't know why Twi was so apprehensive towards Annabeth, but I didn't have time to ask, because Annabeth dropped another bomb. "Well, I was kinda avoiding this, but," she said, looking at the floor, "there is one person that didn't get transferred correctly. He remained in the human world, but it is absolutely necessary that we bring him here." "Who?" I asked, puzzled. "You don't know him, Trident. Apparently somepony named Rainbow Dash does." The ParadoxSorry this chapter took so long. Mostly because of lazyness. I've also been building a Minecraft map based on Rainbow Factory by Aurora Dawn. (You can follow the progress here: http://www.youtube.com/user/chaosmuffinminecraft ) From this point on, this story will be one big crossover. I plan on incorporating a lot of things into this story that wouldn't make sense without doing ALL the crossovers. So, without further ado, here's the next chapter :3 Well, horsefeathers... "Rainbow was JUST here," I said, "and then she left... does this mean I have to go and find her?" "No," Annabeth replied, "but you need to find a way to traverse the time vortex." Twilight spoke up, "I'm not sure if this helps, but if you need something strange, Pinkie's probably your best bet. She once told me she knows the universe like the back of her hoof." "That's a little strange," I said, "but I guess I'll give it a shot." I walked out the door and began to head towards Sugarcube Corner. As I approached, I began to hear really loud music coming from inside. "What's going on in there..." I wondered aloud. I opened the door, and saw Pinkie dashing from counter to counter. "Gotta get these ready!!!" She frantically said to herself. I coughed. "OhhiTridentdidn'tseeyouthereI'mbusyrightnowOHWAITCANYOUHELPME?!?!?!?" She said, suddenly turning to me with a sparkle in her eyes. "Depends, what with?" "Can you take these muffins over to Derpy at the Post for me? I really need to finish this order of cupcakes, but I can't leave her hanging, I mean, GOSH, she's grumpy without her muffins, I mean this one time-" "I got it," I interrupted her, trying to think of a way to ask her this in a way that made sense but finding none, "by the way, do you know how to traverse universes?" She stopped, like she was choosing her words carefully, "Only one pony can do such a thing, Trident. Honestly, I don't know where he is right now." "That's cool. I'll find another way, I guess." I grabbed the muffins and left, and out of the corner of my eye, I could've sworn a tear fell from her eye... I began to walk towards the Post Office. I had seen the grey mare a few times before while walking around, but never talked to her in person. As I walked to the front desk, the clerk looked at me suspiciously. Apparently ponies don't really visit the office much. "Can I speak to Derpy, please?" The clerk chewed a pencil, "I haven't seen her for a few hours. Last I saw of her, a brown stallion ruffled her hair and walked her to the street... Now that I think of it, she disappears with him constantly. She always returns the same day, though, so don't get worried." As if on cue, the grey mare walked in, her eyes swirling and her mane slightly disheveled. "H-hi guys!" She said with a bubbly voice. "Hello, Derpy..." The clerk said, rolling her eyes, "have fun with your coltfriend while I was covering for you?" Derpy blushed, "It's not like that... He's hard to explain." This seemed a bit too familiar to me. I used to watch a lot of television before Camp Half-Blood, and this struck a nerve... While I wasn't paying attention, their argument had escalated quickly. "YOU WORK FOR ME, DERPY!" "THAT'S NOT MY NAME! AND I CAN GET ANOTHER JOB IF I WANT TO!" "What, your coltfriend is gonna give you a job?" "He can't. He's not even pony! He's human!" The entire office froze. A mint-colored pony excitedly peered out from another door. I finally spoke, "What did you just say?" She realized what she had done only a few moments too late, "Nothing! I didn't say anything!" I looked her dead in the eyes and whispered, "I need to see this 'human' now. You don't know how important this is." Her eyes darted to the left, "I'm not sure if that's a good idea, mister. I don't even know who you are." "It doesn't matter," I said, "I'm human too." The moment I said that, the air turned cold. The mint mare looked at me with... envy? Whatever. Anyway, Derpy just shut up and agreed with me after I said it. As we walked out of the office, I asked, "If your name isn't Derpy, what is it?" "Ditzy Doo. But I prefer just Ditzy. I have a sister you might know of, her name is Daring?" "Sorry, never heard of her." We walked in silence for a few minutes before reaching a phone box. It was old-timey, one of the ones you would see in old movies. A brown stallion walked out of the box. "Oh hello, Ditzy, who's your friend? I'm Time Turner." He said with a smile. He had a British accent. "Trident. I'm human." He froze, his smile fading, "So I'm not the only one. Brilliant, I suppose." "I need to get back to my world, but only temporarily. Do you know how it's done?" His face became solemn, "Yes, but there has to be a solid reason for it, otherwise, the universe will simply erase you." "We need to find somepony over there. He's key to saving this world." "Solid enough, mate. In order to open the portal, first you must find the person most connected with said man. Then you must create a paradox." "How do I create a paradox?" "No idea. Good luck. Meet me here when both are complete." After leaving Time Turner, I walked to Rainbow Dash's house. "DASH!" I called out. I heard a groan from behind me. I looked up, and there's Dash, trying to sleep on a cloud, "Whaaaaaaat?" "I need to borrow you for a minute." "But whyyyyyyy? I'm sleeeeepiiiing..." I sigh, "Dash, do you know any humans?" She sat bolt upright, glaring straight at me, no longer even partially asleep, "Who told you? I am NOT about to relive the saddest moment of my life, okay? Do NOT talk about him to me!" "Dash, I'm going to bring him here. I don't know what he means to you, but I have to find him." She laughed, "yeah, I can see what you're up to. You're trying to induce some FEELS from me, aren't you? Not gonna happen." "Just come with me and find out. I have to go back to Ditzy Doo in a minute." She stopped, "Daring's sister is on board with this?" "Yeah," I said, confused, "what about it?" "Okay, I'm in," She said. "Are you going to explain this sudden change of heart?" "I trust Ditzy with my life. I went on an adventure with her and her sister once... Then some guy wrote a book about it, "The Sisters Doo," it was called." (For the record, this is an actual story. Look it up, good read.) "Okay, do you know how to make a Paradox?" "Sure. Pinkie Pie does it all the time." Why does this not surprise me? We walk over to Sugarcube Corner, where the music has died down. Pinkie greets us at the door. "Did you find anything?" She asks with a smile. "Yeah, Time Turner said-" "You- you found him?" She gasps. "Yeah...?" "Show me." She says, disbelief splattered all over her face. So we walk back to the phone box. Time Turner sees Pinkie and his face goes white. "Er... Miss Pie, how are you?" "You can STUFF IT, Turner. You left me here as a universal paradox! You didn't even TRY to fix me!" "I'm not going to ask what this is about," I said, "But Dashie and I really need to get this going. I'm running out of time." "Fine, but I will be talking to you when you get back." She says to Time Turner. She takes a deep breath, "This is a story. All people, ponies and things are being written by a man who goes by the name of Derpymuffin24." The universe began to fold to destroy this bit of information that had left her lips. The words were destroyed, and not a single pony remembered them but Time Turner and Pinkie. I blinked, "What just happened?" Ditzy did the same at the same time. I smiled at her, and she looked away shyly. "The paradox was fixed," Time Turner said plainly, "Now let's go."
The TransferThe Olympian Chronicles By Derpymuffin24 NOTE: This story takes place between the end of The Last Olympian and the beginning of The Lost Hero.
I've been busy-
The PrincessCelestia demanded that we would speak, but she needed to rest overnight. "Yes," I answered, "We need to go back to Ponyville to find my friends."
The ProphecyAfter a few hours, I managed to convey to Twi pretty much everything that had happened.
Diggy is a highly skilled expert in mining operations here, and he's the King's son." "Well, whatever happens, I'm sure it will be interesting..."
The King(Hooray!
"Annabeth's awake."
The ReunionHOORAY! Apparently somepony named Rainbow Dash does."
The ParadoxSorry this chapter took so long.
